Frito Lay invades FarmVille starting tonight!
FarmVille invites farmers to visit the promotional Frito Lay farm and earn exclusive free gifts, including Double Mastery for two days (read more about that at the bottom of the post). Frito Lay needs our help in making and processing some of their favorite brand chips such as Lay’s, Sunchips, and Tostitos. You can visit the Frito Lay farm by scrolling to the far right of your in-game neighbor bar list and then clicking on the Frito Lay icon.
Frito Lay’s FarmVille farm is more intricate than other past promotional farms and features a lot of customized items just for Frito Lay such as the Frito Lay Factory, faux Mastery Signs for its most popular chips, and a neat little animation of the Frito Lay truck delivering the goods. 2) Can this be combined with the Goat double mastery statue from the end of the EC quests to give you X4 mastery??

I got the truck and the stand.. The stand is resting in my Gift Box.. Will place it tomorrow, I just harvested my Orchards this morning!

I will keep this on my Home farm and Goat Statue on the EC farm.. My EC farm has potatoes, so will wait for them to ready then I’ll finish the Lionhead’s ale, ready in the Pub Crafting Cottage. No point wasting 1 day of double mastery when the Ale does not wither!
I don’t know if I want 4X mastery for the EC Farm.. I mean the number required to master is not huge in EC crop like >6K in Columbine or Clover of the Home Farm..

The goat statue seems to work for both farms – mine is on Home Farm but I have had the double mastery of crops in EC
Keep the Frito one in your gift box till the Goat is finished then place it – that way you get the value of it. You won’t get 4xmastery if you place both.
Good that the promotion is for everyone, and nice gifts.

I did it and it took me to the Frito-Lay FB page but just said ”We’re sorry, but something went wrong. We’ve been notified about this issue and we’ll take a look at it shortly.’

I know how you can figure out the answer to some of your questions. USE YOUR HEAD.
If you place both the chip stand and the goat statue on one farm at the same time will you get 4X mastery? NO
Will either item work for double mastery on both farms simultaneously? NO
You can use either item on either farm. But it only works for the farm on which you place it.
The “timer” on either item does not start counting down until you place it on your farm. So you can finish your quest for the goat statue. It will be in your gift box, and the week that it’s effective does not begin until you remove it from your gift box and place it on your farm.
I got the same error message that many people mentioned, when I went to the Frito Lay page, while I was visiting their farm. But the two items were in my gift box anyway, so there was really no problem.

Salena @43 – check your gift box. There was an error showing on the Frito page, but the items still went to my gift box. If you don’t get them contact Zynga.
GoDaddy@31 – I found the promotion only worked when I accessed the farm from my Home Farm.
I will not be placing the stand until the double mastery on the Goat Statue runs out,. It won’t give 4xmastery, so best to maximise it. I have found that with the Goat Statue placed on my Home Farm both farms get the benefit of the double mastery. Hoepfully that will be true for the stand.

That’s not true. I have the goat statue on my English Countryside and I just harvested crops from both of my farms, and they both yielded double experience. And you’re telling other people to use their heads…

This is #25 G again. I answered my own questions from #25 by just going ahead & trying it, and you are wrong. Sorry. Please don’t be so rude next time. It only makes you look bad, ESPECIALLY when you end up being wrong! (lol) Now, for everybody else’s sake, let me answer…
YES, when combined with the Goat Statue this DOES give you X4 mastery – if you want it to! I personally put the Lay’s stand & the Goat Statue on my home farm, AND I used a bushel. I got X4 mastery on both my home farm & EC. Here’s how it specifically breaks down:
Normal harvesting of a crop: 1 mastery
Lay’s Stand: +1 mastery
Goat Statue: +1 mastery
Bushel: +1 mastery
= 4 mastery per crop harvested.
It’s tough to understand sometimes because of how FV words these things…something like this is not technically double mastery, it’s technically a +1 mastery. If these all really were double mastery, then by the simple laws of multiplication all of these put together would yield 8 mastery per crop harvested (1×2=2, 2×2=4, 4×2=8). But this is NOT the case, so please don’t let FV’s incorrect wording confuse you. Each item like a bushel, Goat Statue, or Lay’s Stand gives you +1 mastery, it does not double your current mastery levels.

Karen@59. There is really no need to have that attitude to people who are simply asking questions. It is arrogant and inappropriate.
It was not clear from the information with either the Goat Statue or the Stand where they could be used or whether they could be used together.
If you had the Goat you would have found that the additional mastery it gives affects both farms, regardless of where it is placed.
The same obviously applies to the Stand.
I am surprised and very happy to find the two can be used at the same time and will give even more mastery.

Just done the calculations on the Goat Statue and Stand used together, and if I am right it is much better not to use them together.
This is the way I see it -
Crop mastery 1 + Bushel 1+- Goat Statue 1 = Total 3 mastery.
Add the Stand giving 1 more mastery and its Total 4
BUT do
Crop mastery 1 + Bushel 1 + Goat Statue 1 = 3 mastery
and then use the stand when Goat has expired
Crop mastery 1 + Bushel 1 + Stand 1 = 3 mastery
and that gives a total of 6 mastery for the crops and trees.
Stand only last 2 days not 7 but its still worth the extra 2 mastery on everything for those two days.

Yeah, a lot of my neighbors have also commented that they missed this promo — it was only available for a day on my screen. I went to visit the farm last night and it was gone. Crazy fast!!! I figured it would be up for a week, not a day or two. Sheesh! Not everyone checks their farm every day.
