I love my sheep too but I need some kind of house for them I have too many but this is all stuff from last year I already have I have at least 50 of each of the gold nutcracker and gold soldier but I’m such I hoarder that I can’t find it in myself to delete them so they take up a little part of my farm I would love to use for something else.

My, what _selfish_ complainers!
There are many players, some of whom are my best neighbors, that were not playing last Christmas. These are all new items to them.
I saved some holiday items – except the Soldiers and Nutcrackers – from last year (when we had NO storage at all). Will be glad to receive more Snow Pile II and a Gold Nutcracker. Most of the rest will become coin.
More Snowflakes will be nice for my “Snow and Ice” theme after New Years as I am not interested in any Superbowl items; they’re for US football fans.
FYI , Snow Pile I and Snow Pile II have been renamed Snow Drift and Snow Pile this year.

People never cease to amaze me. These are FREE items. And yet people are still complaining. If you don’t like the items, SELL them. I have all these items from last year, too, but I’m still happy and grateful that they are giving them out, as people may not have been playing last year, that would love these. I just sell the items I don’t want. I’m looking forward to seeing what the special mystery gift is, and regardless of WHAT it may be, I will be thankful.
I love Farmville & Farmville Freak. But every single time I read the comments under the articles, it’s nothing but people complaining. Seriously, now….

I am another newbie from last year (I started in February 2010). Some of the stuff would be nice to have while other things will be sold immediately after the 12 days. I’ve started putting my Christmas stuff away – but some of the other things (like the snowman and the snow angels) can be kept for a while yet. I like the teddy bears and snow piles/drifts/whatever you want to call them. The ornaments, nutcrackers and soldiers will go into storage for next year.

I appear to be the only person who actually is looking forward to this. I started playing around Valentine’s Day last year, so I missed out on all this stuff. Now I get it for free, don’t even have to spend coins. Even the stuff I don’t want (ornaments, for example), I can just sell on for a couple of coins.
It’s not like you guys have to pay for any of this. Not even COINS. If you don’t want it, don’t request it, or request it and sell it. Jeez. At least they aren’t charging FV cash or 200,000 coins for rehashed old items like they’ve been doing before.
I do, however, agree that a lot of this should’ve come out BEFORE Christmas. The snow is fine any time in winter, but the ornaments are a little late.

Ok the bonus prize is ugly and I really hope that isn’t what will be in that crate. The ornaments are pretty but I’ve already taken down all the Christmas stuff off my farm. :/ Just kind of got tired of looking at it.. So I hope the piles of snow aren’t true and they will be something else because my farm is already back to being green.
The bears are the only thing that I really like. I have the candy cane bear and it’s so cute!

i agree with what some other people have already said – number one, you’re getting free stuff. if you don’t like it, don’t participate or simply just sell it. number two, there are a lot of players who weren’t playing last christmas & i agree it’s nice that they’re getting a chance to get some of this stuff.
having said that, i think what they should have done was put some of the old things in the market to buy, then some of the new things here along with some of the old to give it a good mix.
there are some things here that i had to sell last year due to lack of storage, so i’ll be happy to get some of them back. like i said, free items. if nothing else, at least it’s some coins & the final mystery prize.

I agree 100% with Heather (post no. 61) as I was going to say much the same. Great for the newbies to get the old Christmas stuff (just as I was thankful to be able to pick up some of the old Halloween items from last year since I wasn’t playing back then) but it would have been nice for Farmville to have considered us longer running players by adding a couple of new items into the mix for the 12 days of Christmas.
Oh well… whilst a little disappointing, it’s hardly like it’s worth getting upset about since what’s a couple of extra clicks each day to get free duplicate items to sell for coins?

wow…i cant believe how impatient some of you veteran players are! i didnt get any of the holiday stuff from last year and barely got any this year til the last part of the year. Im sure you all were quite happy to be getting stuff when you were a NEWBY. No one is MAKING you participate in the promos. I thought the whole idea of this site was to get HELP ON FV AND SNEAK PREVIEWS. Not to hear people moan and groan about what they dont like and dont want. I would love to have more GOOD stuff that didnt cost FV CASH. But there isnt and thats not gonna happen no time soon. SO! i bide my time and collect $2 here and there on free promos. But i dont come here to rain on other people’s parade! Stop attacking people for their comments. I for one started playing January 2010 so I couldn’t participate in the Winter Event (2009). Although I agree that the Disco Cow is hideous, I am going to collect the items, as I didn’t get them last year. I am still going to get the Disco Cow, but it is going straight into my Dairy Barn, as I am a cow and horse collector. I would like more coin things. But come on people. If you stop buying things then the prices will go down. Simple. For nearly a year I have played this game, I am at level 41 and only on very rare occasions do I complain. And even when I do, i don’t post it on here to put people in a bad mood. It is unbelievable that the majority of comments are moaning and groaning. If it’s so annoying and frustrating, just quit the damn game. Go out and do something, do an activity. Just stop flooding the comments with moaning.

Wow..I also deleted the majority of that crap…FIGURES, they try to new things and they mess it up causing loading issues, so they HAVE to “re-gift” or we wouldn’t be able to open farmville for DAYS!!!!! They make a lot of money, they should have their “tekkies” work harder, ESPECIALLY for the holidays….THANKS ZYNGA for an addictive game that is becoming more redundant, more boring, and THANKFULLY less addictive! The fact of the matter is that this is an open forum. Zynga monitors forums just like this one for feedback. Whether you’re a long time player or a newbie, you have a right to voice your opinion which might be a negative one. I’m not much of a poster on here. If I have a complaint, I post it on the Zynga forums directly. At the same time, I don’t believe in censoring anyone on here.
All of this ‘stop complaining’ and attempts to censor and filter out these comments can be easily remedied . . . .stop reading them. The same way that you people tell others to stop complaining and just stop playing the game; maybe you should heed your own advice. If the complaints ruin your day, then stop reading the comments. If you don’t want to moan and groan, then don’t; but what gives you the right to tell people what they can and can not post? When you develop and maintain your own site, then feel free to censor it as you see fit. But if this site is not yours, don’t presume to tell anyone what they can or can not post on here.
A lot of players have spent money on this game, but even the ones that haven’t still have a right to voice their frustrations. After all, we as players create the millions of people that provides Zynga the audience to sell advertising to. Without us, Zynga has nothing.

Im really not one to complain, I started playing last winter and the prizes Farmville is giving are the SAME ones as last year, and I didn’t even participate in the countdown last year. I understand that the newer players havent gotten these items yet and they SHOULD be able to get a chance to get them, but maybe you newer players don’t get that these prizes aren’t nice at all. Plus, Zynga puts all this effort into the FV cash items and they don’t even try with the new items. Just saying.

i have been plating for about 3 1/2 months and have followed farmville freak ever since, i am a level 33 and proud,i did miss last years christmas(obviously) and i am happy to collect these items.even better how theyre free!
i am not a fan of the cow and i am only doing this to collect the items i missed.
zygna has had an amazing brainspark by doing this and i applaude them for this,and some players are exited to collect all 12 items and the ‘mystery’ prize

I have one new neigbor who is fanatical about the “freak” animals. So she is hot to get this goofy cow, so I send her the item and sell my freebie match for coins. I get the check mark right away, so I’m assuming I will also get the cow. Oh well 2 seconds of effort and she is happy. Super simple and I get a few coins. And if you miss one, just send a request and you can make it up. I got a request for a day 2 item on day 4 and I got a check mark as soon as I sent it.

All the special prizes are STUPID. Why not something we can use. Farm upgrade, equipment upgrades, buildings,farm cash. INSTEAD OF SOME STUPID DRESSED ANIMAL????

I hate how I already have almost all of these items saved from last year but zynga is making me buy or get NEW ones of the same exact thing or else it won’t count on my winter countdown. I didn’t know that until it was too late and I missed like 5 days and have no way of re-getting the stuff I already have unless I pay farm cash. Ugh. so dumb.
