In the United States, our Independence Day is celebrated on July 4th every year. To honor the occassion FarmVille released some fireworks available in the FarmVille Market and some free giftables in the FarmVille Gifting Page. Make sure to get yours to commemorate the 4th on your own farm.

What is Fourth of July?
“In the United States, Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. IS ANYONE ELSE UPSET THAT FARMVILLE FAILED TO GIVE US ANY 4TH OF JULY ITEMS FOR THE FARMS? I DONT THINK THE FIREWORKS COUNT AS THEY ARE A ONE TIME USE ITEM. WHY DID WE HAVE CINCO DE MAYO ITEMS? WOULD IT HAVE KILLED THEM TO GIVE US A FLAG, OR A FENCE WITH FLAGS ON IT? HOW ABOUT A BALD EAGLE? JUST A THOUGHT….

There’s this game for the PS3 called littleBIG Planet. In that game they had a contest where you could design a costume and the winner’s costume would actually be made and put into the game.
I REALLY wish they would do that kind of contest here because i’d both vote for and BUY that cow! Great job!

I’ve already been celebrating the Fourth. My upstairs neighbor bought some fireworks, and as soon as it was midnight, he was lighting them off in the street! Mind you, this wasn’t COMPLETELY legal, since there’s the pesky matter of a permit required in this state … but still … And actually, the cops DID show up, and just told him to finish it up in the next five. lol
But yeah, there’s a big show nearby tomorrow night, and my best friend and I are taking my kids to see it. I’m painting their faces for it first, and we’re gonna have a blast.
And at some point before the day’s over, I’m lighting off the fireworks on my farm! lol

It seems most of us FV folk are upset that FV didn’t issue any more items for the Fourth of July…I say that is all good. Let them first resolve all the problems/glitches before they add any other items to further mess up the game.
…. also, perhaps all the folks at FV need to have a few days off to celebrate our country’s Independence Day with their family and loved ones.

Why was the USA practically shut out? Zynga was developed in the USA. They did big things for St. Patrick’s day, Cinco de Mayo ….. Only firecrackers for the 4th of July? REALLY? How could Farmville possibly resist the chance to put out a sheep with sparklers on it’s head??

i agree…the fireworks do not count. they were a let down for new year’s so i can only imagine they’ll be that bad now. i won’t be buying any to find out i assure you… fv should have released something else in consideration for the 4th……the cow is freakin awesome and i would have been more than glad to add it to my farm!

Here, here Texas. Guess it’s not PC to honor the US and fathers. lol Oh well, I suppose we can play Frontierville and figure out how to get that ellusive Liberty Bell that has no specific instructions to acquire. Oh wait, you can only do about 5 things before your energy runs out. Never mind.

I’ve rethought my FarmVille 4th skepticism. As I opened up my farm this morning greeted by that wonderful message of 4 free cans of gas for visiting my farm 4 days in a row, I was like YES!!! Thanks Zynga! What says America more than hitting the road with that full tank of gas and traveling 400 miles before days end. I love it!!! Especially if the end of the road takes one to Yellowstone National Park, The Grand Canyon, The Everglades or our historic nations capital. I love this beautiful country!

don’t you remember when zynga gave us all a free USA flag last veterans day? the other countries went nuts. they feared a war. so they did nothing. lol. off topic, why is that tuscan wedding crap still going on? i thought it was suppose to be over by now. i’m sick of eggs and milk…..bah.

I miss the Tuscan theme. FarmVille — I will gladly pay more to have some of those buildings back.
