Simply load your farm and find McDonald’s in your neighbor’s list and visit their farm. Upon visiting their farm you will be asked to apply Insta Grow (for free). Once you do this you will receive 2 exclusive items:

Expected a little more than a McDonald’s balloon and an energy boost via a McCafe coffee but better than nothing. Would like to see more partnerships similar to the Cascadian Farms venture however.

LAME!! all you get is a hot air balloon, and a coffee to make your person go faster. Most people have their person blocked in the middle anyway.

i found the mcdonalds neighbor at the very end of my neighbors to the right … so they are your “highest” level neighbor hope that helps … gotta admit i was disappointed another ballon for the storage shed and most of us have are people boxed in …. the 7/11 stuff was MUCH better …

I haven’t eaten anything from McDonalds for over 20 years and can’t imagine going back there but it would have been fun if we grew fries or one of their burgers like they did with the nachos. Those were so cute and it gave you a smile to watch them grow.
We just got a huge Halloween building so who wants to take more room away and stick a balloon on their farm? Boy was that bad timing.
I’m wondering if when we applied the instant grow if it cost us our own fv money to do it?

Yes I think it was great you really do nothing & get a free hot air balloon & a cool mcafe hit of speed , geesh guys what did you expect for free ? I think it was awesome for such a simple task . Yes I think Mcdonalds has a place in Fv as well. They have made a lot of changes toward more nutricious choices. Apples, as well as the lettuce , tomato, salads etc. , The fruit in the parfait. No I do not work for nor am I affiliated with Mcdonalds. They have been around a longtime & are making changes toward changing the onesity issues in America. I think we all agree they have been pretty much a part of our lives here.

Agree with most about being disappointed in the two free items. McDonnald’s uses many local products (here in Washington they use our potatoes for fries and apples, for instance). Wish we could get the cafe and tables or the barn.

It would of been cooler if they made the building for purchase where they make the raw material for chicken mcnuggets. First they scrape the bones to get the bacteria infested sludge that has the appearance of strawberry yogurt and then they literally soak it in ammonia to kill all the bacteria lol. At least theyre kind enough to rinse it off and add chicken flavoring right? Don’t get me wrong though I would tear through a 20 piece if you gave it to me.

I love the hotaiir balloon. Its like gnomes…i collect them, take them out every once in a while and then store them. I am grateful that the promo lasts only one day. I have not even redeemed any of my shovels or school supplies so another long lasting promo would of caused me fv overload. I I was hoping for the chance to get a mcdonalds dairy farm, restaurant or something cute with the mcdonlds theme… oh well I do like the hotair balloon anyway.
I missed out on the cascadia blueberries because I had the language set on pirate english (according to zygia) and confused the system. .foreign fv players go to facebook and click on the option to change the language to us english…..unfortunately pirate english does not qualify for us english. Try it and see if you get the Mcdonalds option.

To #29; Dawn–what a great idea, you should write to Zynga and suggest it. And this may just be the beginning, although I’m sure we would have to buy the buildings, I can’t imagine they would produce all the other items just to let us get a balloon and coffee. Maybe we will have to do something every day, hopefully there will be more. If not, than that’s fine too, a little less to muck up our farms, and less chance of glitches.

I’m glad that I live outside the states and didn’t get the chance to win a crappy balloon and cup of coffee that makes my avatar walk quicker… useless when I use the combine anyway.
But, I do think that a game that sells itself worldwide should be moving to doing worldwide promos as quite frankly it is unfair to non-US residents.
I got the crap on my loading screen telling me McDonalds was coming “tomorrow” but it didn’t for me… false advertising.

Maybe next time when you have more time to prepare you could replace the collectiables with the menu items from McDonalds and give the hot air balloons as a reward for collecting rather than the coins but you MUST keep the XP points. lol The building could be a mega prrze and attach the golden arches as the bigest win. We just are never happy folks here on Farmville but all in all it wasn’t half bad. We got the cool McDonalds farm pic to look at and anticipate for 2 or 3 days and we got a hot air balloon which I don’t mind because I have a collection of hot air balloons and it will fit right in there. It is in my storage right now but have plans to return it to the farm very shortly. Keep a watchful eye for I have a great plan coming for my farm I think you will like. I just don’t have the proper equipment or technology to join the farm of the week but you will be disappointed I can not get it there, and it will not be full of hay bales or trees. It will be a fresh concept of a farm. Keep looking good things happen to those who wait.

First of all i think Dawn has the right idea. If we had a mission of sorts or co-op or crop to raise money for ronald mcdonald house would have been wonderful.

farmville this is just ridiculous coffee and hot air balloon only for the U.S., so I can’t get it and if you are partnering with Mcdonalds why don’t you put codes on the pack of every item sold there all over the countries where there are Mcdonalds. The mcnuggets, chicken wraps and burgers could have a code which gets you a Mcdonalds chicken( red with a yellow M on the sides). The burgers and wraps that have beef patties but no bacon they’re code gets you a Mcdonalds cow(red with a yellow M on the side). The filet-O-fish’s code could get you a harvestable fish pond. The garden salad’s code could unlock the garden salad co-op that your friends can join if they have or haven’t unlocked it, it’s where you have to harvest carrot, zucchini, tomato and cabbage crops and the reward is a mcharvester( red with a yellow M on the sides and harvest 3×3 plots). The ice-creams and milkshakes’s codes get you a mcdonalds dairy

The Us are not the center of the world. Why everypromotion is dedicated to people living in America? What is the problem to make promotions for people from other countries? ZYNGA do U want to tell us that other countries are worse? Isnt that discrimination? If this is a game for people from all over the world and U gladly take our money for example for FV Cash why dont U make promotion for people from all over the world, for ALL Ur players? Its very unfair and honestly I dont like to be discriminate… U are covering by doing such a good thing for Thaiti for example good but why do U let to be and make discrimination?

There is life outside the USA but unfortunately Zynga does not seem to care about the rest of the world…..bet they would if we all stopped playing eh? I don’t really care about a balloon and the coffee (my farmer is locked in anyway), but there are other promotions that we continue to be left out of. It’s nothing to cry about but I do think its a bit of a pity….there must be a way to share these around the world fairly….

MCDonald’s makes perfect since for FV, as a corporation they are one of the largest buyers of agricultural products in America.
Think of how many potatoes, tomatoes, beef, chicken, wheat, etc. they purchase a year.

Yep…I agree. THe 7-11 promotion was a lot of fun. Became like a scavenger hunt with my friends all searching for the special items. And, spending only about $10 to net 200 FVCash was a pretty reasonable exchange. Was also fun having quite a few of the 7-11 store clerks help out — seeing’s how they also play FarmVille, they had a lot of fun with it, too. Also, the Green Giant promo was nice. I buy bag carrots anyway for snacks, so, the extra 15 FVCash was another nice bonus.
Guess Zynga has a thing for Gnomes and Hot Air Balloons. I sold the balloon….but am now wondering if I sold it too soon. Could be this is just Day 1 of a promotional thing….you know…..collect “all” the items or something? Nah….that would probably have been to smart. A lot of money/time invested in those graphics for a One Day Only promotion. Interesting, but, if this is all there is to it…lame.

I had a chat with Zynga on the issue and this is what i came to know…..

The one factual thing about the Farmville version of McDonalds is that, as we can see by the picture, there are no cows or chickens out in the open air. They’re all crammed in the buildings, drowning in bacteria and excrement.

I was looking really forward to this and all the cool stuff, but even the mcdonalds farm with the cool stuff looks lame…they couldnt have done a better job decorating a corporate farm?? Coffee is pointless b.c like most said their farmer is gated in and the balloons are getting old, I would have rather had a cow with an “M” or something on it than a balloon. The 7-11 promo seemed to have been cooler, I just wish I had played then. Thanks for the balloon, but get some better ideas. K?

For everyone disappointed at not being able to offer McDonald’s free advertising, I have a suggestion. If you are so into promoting companies you should paint their logos on your car, or the side of your house. Perhaps you could get a McDonald’s tattoo on your forehead. Are you really so lame that you want to be used as a corporate puppet? Really??! C’mon people, we are better than that.

I agree with the folks who think this was a lame event. Two big companies couldn’t come up with a better promotion than this? More design went into the buildings on the farm than the prizes -or- the farm itself. It’s looks like a design done by an overworked intern rather than professionals.

Jeeze Louise. You people act like you were really put out, that this promotion was such a huge burder to you. I was hoping there’d be more items available. But there weren’t. Since it didn’t cost me anything, who cares? More itmes wouldn’t have made this any less of a big advertisement for Mickey D’s. But get over yourselves. It’s not like you had to spend any money. Well… I went to McDonald’s Farm, watched the plane fly around, was “awarded” the Balloon and McCafe. Went back to my farm, checked the gift box, balloon was there, no McCafe, unless my avatar drank it before I got back, which I couldn’t tell since my avatar is blocked in…
) Placed my balloon on my farm next to the ” Haiti School Balloon”. Started working on the farm, got in infamous “out of sync”. When I returned the balloon was gone! So, I had to endure the McDonald’s advertising, and still got nothing in return.

I haven’t consumed fast food in over 20 years. I got my coffee and hot air balloon. My feeling is that this promo is to direct players to McD’s Monopoly promo (which I will not be entering).
To those who are complaining, Zynga is based in USA. Until there are foreign offices and subsidiaries, I doubt many promotions will happen in your country. If you want to see local promotions, go talk to your local major businesses and convince them why it would be in their interest to do a promotion with Zynga.
Free stuff is free stuff. If you don’t like it, don’t claim it.

Okie 1st I can say the balloon was cool but, I was hoping to be able to build up the cafe’ or burger place. I try and grown that big A&^ McDonalds “M” for farming points. It would of been so much cooler if there were promotional codes like what was done with 7-11. I had so much fun going out at 1am getting a slurpee and running home to find out what I was geting.
I think they should get back with McDonalds & redue this. This was such a huge let down and the final slap is you can only get 1 of whatever. The rest of the time is spent looking at all the cool stuff we can have on our farms.

@Farmer from Poland – I am sure there are legal reasons that they cannot extend this outside the US. I doubt very much that:
1. Zynga would want to keep any players from participating, it’s easier to open this to everyone rather than a select few
2. McDonald’s doesn’t want to advertise to anyone and everyone.

The box was the best part when I was a kid. The fries are death, but the hamburger is actually a sensible 2 servings of bread and 1 meat. I am still always tempted to get one but I’m 28. Life definitely does not get better as we get older…

If MickieDee wants to advertise on my farm with their balloon taking up space, they can pay me for it (FV cash welcome, of course.) A free ‘coffee’ to make my farmer move faster is totally lame since anyone who has played FV for any length of time knows you need to box in your farmer. This promotion was definitely a NO-motion.
