You can visit Stouffer’s farm by scrolling to the end (far right) of your in-game neighbor bar and simply click on the Stouffer’s Farm icon.
When you visit the Stouffer farm for the first time you are offered an option to “Help Out” in growing farm fresh ingredients. Click the green “Help Out” button and as a thank you for visiting the farm and helping you will earn two free exclusive prizes including a Mac&Cheese Tree and a Stouffer’s Instant Grow. You can then find these items in your FarmVille Gift Box.

After you get your free prizes, you have the option of notifying your farming friends by posting a Facebook News Feed Share. You can either accept or decline and either way the prizes are yours to keep.

I am so thankful I didn’t have to use farmcash and plus I can make giant tree from it. But I do wish the level 2 tree would be different not giant all the time like the money tree turns into lantern. Ever since that, everything is giant tree for level 2.

I love this. I thought when they meant actually do something i was okay with that anything for a macaroni and cheese tree lol but no you just click help and thats it and i actually love there duo sandwiches and soups and a few other things they offer like there 15 min microwave but taste like oven cooked meals they are greet when i have to work late and they really do taste like oven baked and healthy to!!

People who have seen my posts before will know that I am not one who complains about the game, and that I generally am supportive of Zynga, and the free game they provide.
However on this issue of promotions limited to the US I do feel very strongly.
Something like 60% of players are based outside the US, many of these players spend real cash on the game. If you want evidence of that go the ‘Add Cash’ tab and look at the currencies you can choose to pay in.
It’s not the issue of this particular very ugly tree, or even the free Instant Grow, its the principle behind it.
If Zynga make their game available internationally and take cash from all players, then all promotions should be available to every player.
Karen@69 you are right that there are restrictions on promotions imposed by the company concerned and international laws etc – however if that is the case then that promotion should not be run at all. If it can’t be offered to everyone then it should not be part of the game.

I would say it is a pity that we have to have this kind of childishness when people are raising points about an important point of principle.. In case you have not understood the problem, it is not about being American, but about being an American based player for the purpose of this game.

I have been sat here in Devon, UK totally fuming at some of the comments above, how exactly would some USA players feel if we had 10 times the amount of exclusive offers they get, just how often do you see 2 FV cash FREE and it’s for USA only. Hmmmm how many do we get???? Can’t actually think of any, I spend real money, I try and buy a new horse every now and then, I buy 3 of EVERY new primary tree and quite honestly think it’s not exactly the prettiest tree but it’s my “thing” on my farm. I’ve been playing this for months now and will get to level 101 in about 1/2 hour when crops can be harvested, so I can no longer earn cash either, I too am usually positive on here and I am actually selfishly wishing they would give us 1 week exclusive access to English Countryside before USA as compo, Hmmmmm see how that feels #45 Laurie, rather nasty comments for someone who finds it a fun game I’m just bloody glad you’re not one of my neighbours, but then again being as horrid and selfish as you seem to be you wouldn’t exactly be a friend!! Yep, I am sure that is. You can’t buy Stouffers Meals outside the USA (At least, I as a German citizen have never heard of Stouffers before).
So they only pay Zynga to release this promo in the USA. Why should they pay for promo in other countries, where their sutff isn’t even known or sold?
I don’t like it the way it is with the promos, but we simply have to accept it.
I am glad that we can at least get the Mac&Cheese tree via newsfeed seedlings, so I am not unhappy at all.

While we all play an online game, many of you that are complaining may not understand the complexities behind promotions.
It is possible that Stouffers has copyright on certain things that cannot be enforced in other countries.
It is also possible that Stouffers had a budget and was limiting how their creative dollars are spent.
Those of you that live in other countries ought to contact major local corporations and see if they are interested in financially supporting a promotion. Those corporations will then decide 1) if they are interested and 2) how much they want to spend.
What might appear to you to be a free tree and application of instant grow (same as a free biplane run) given only to Americans actually has a lot of dollars and employee time (sponsor, Zynga, ad agencies, and lawyers) behind it.
This promotion, like others, will have no effect on my future purchase pattern of Stouffers products.

@Sam Of course you can’t grabthe tree from the “promo-sharers”, you have to produce the tree by yourself or hope that a neighbours produces one and shares it to the newsfeed. So stop whining, grab some seedlings and cans from the feed and go!
Like I said yesterday, I already got 5 of these trees. I produced 2 by myself from newsfeed seedlings and got 3 sent to me by my nice arborist neighbours, who also produced the trees by themselves.

Collecting the tree from the feeds when someone grows a seedling is not the same than having this one, this one is a regular version with a different mastery sign. NON US people just install hotspotshield which will hide your IP address and allow you to access all the US promotions. Once it’s installed you only need to connect it when u need it
get it from http://hotspotshield.com i’ve managed to get most of the promotions this way and it did work on this one today

Well I got the tree (yes, ugly) and the instant grow but I live in Taiwan.
Actually I’m a US citizen (well naturalized) but I didn’t advertize that to FB or Zynga.
It’s not like I configured my PC to make it look like I’m in the US or used VPN either except I’m using US English language. So how does Zynga determine who is American and who is not?

That’s what lots of people are already doing, and the more people complain, the better.
Go on Stouffer’s facebook page, “like” it and then write your complain on their wall.
Lots of people have already been doing this and while this may not make any difference at the end, at least you’ll all get to say your piece about it, and remind them that there are other companies than Stouffer’s you can buy products from in the future

I live in the UK and I complained using the farmville chat feature in the support page. The agent explained that the promo was only in the US but would be happy to give me the promo gifts if i wanted. Seems that’s the only way to get it if outside the US

I don’t get why only U.S. gets this new deal. We all play farmville together. We all grow the same crops, help each other out by doing co ops TOGETHER, help each other out by sending gifts. They have members from all over the world and we all play the same. ZYNGA do you actually have a GOOD explaination for excluding other countries? Not this crap crap like ‘well this product is sold in the states’ I don’t care, the reward is used in ‘Farmville’ which we ALL play.

@Cindy Huxley….while I see your point, are you seriously suggesting that a business should pass up revenue that they DON’T have to suck out of players (in other words, this is what supports keeping the game free to play for everyone, including those outside the US), in order to be “fair”?
I’m not in marketing or advertising or PR, but I am an accountant, and I do have some experience with how these things work. Zynga is probably paid by Stouffers based on the number who participate. A sponsor is only interested in the participation of their target audience.
It would be a poor business decision on Zynga’s part to pass that up, IMO, just because it can’t include everyone who plays. It still benefits everyone who plays, as I indicated above, whether you choose to see that, or not.

When I saw it the first thought in my mind I’m stopping playing that stupid game, because I’m collecting all trees and masteries. and I have them all almost (don’t have the Iphone stuff , but maybe I will have) . So now I don’t have that chance, so I’m really dissapointed. I recently bought FV cash, the first time in my life, mostly to buy new farmcash trees. But now? I won’t buy it again, I will play but with free stuff. thank you Zynga, for destroying my good mood, and ruining my favourite Facebook game. The only small-mindedness around here is those who ignore logic and think that this is some xenophobic move on Zynga’s part. They’re just taking money wherever it is to be had. It has nothing to do with not caring about international players. It has to do with business deals and Stouffer’s only paying to advertise in the US because that’s where the vast majority of their consumer base is. They’d have to pay a lot more to advertise internationally, and since most of their business comes from US consumers, it wouldn’t be a good investment.
Only things like the Megamind movie, which could stand to benefit from an international audience, will ever see worldwide promotion.
Lay off the emotion and use your brain, folks.

I find some of the comments that happen in instances like this amusing….and that’s not to put anyone down, or deny you your right to rant if you choose. Have at it.
But come on…..there are some things where fairness matters above other considerations, and where corporate advertising does not belong, IMO.
Internet gaming is NOT one of them. I can’t think of a better or more appropriate place for it to be.
If you want pure, wholesome and real, get off the net and DO something real, ffs. This is a VIRTUAL GAME. It doesn’t actually MATTER.

BTW, you can still GET the mac and cheese tree, by collecting mystery seedlings from the feed. I’ve gotten 2 that way so far. And as people collect more, there will also be more full grown mac and cheese trees posted to the feed. You won’t miss out on the mastery for this tree if you’re a frequent player. Like every level 2 tree that’s come along, it will become common soon enough.

Fisrt off, the tree is fugly.
Second, it is lame that everyone doesn’t have access to such a fugly tree.
Third, it is stupid that even those in the US of A can only get 1 of these fugly trees. I don’t know about anyone else, but if I am to get one tree, I want to fill up an entire orchard with that type of tree. But that is not possible. So you have to put it in an orchard and maybe once a month you’ll get a sapling that produces a giant (and extremely fugly) version of this tree. So, all you will ever have of the semi-desirable fugly tree is 1. How incredibly stupid. I think I’ll just sell mine.

Hmmm, Read all the above comments, not going to get upset because I can’t have a tree or an instant grow potion, but I will make this stand… I have been arguing this point with Zynga for over 6 months yet they still cannot see the validation in my point…. yes we cannot get these promotions, because the company that spent the money on them wants them to reach their target market, but why can Zynga not give the rest of the world something else?? (and I don’t mean 100 coins!! that’s an insult!), a level one tree would normally cost 5FV cash in the market, so therefore give everyone that cannot access this promotion 5FV cash, in fact every single time there is a promotion or bonus link that is for US Only, then Zynga should make the gesture to the REST of the WORLD, by giving us somthing comparable, the problem is that this situation has been going on for far too long now, Zynga insults every single player from outside the United States by saying things like “exciting news for Foreign Players” when first mentioning the English Countryside expansion (which is going to be available to everyone…. so therefore not such exciting news for us ‘Johnny Foriegners’ then!!!), the only possible way for Zynga to draw some redress with this situation is for them to release a series of exclusive items only available to those OUTSIDE the USA!!! this would drive the point home to those calling us ‘Whiners!’…. but then this is from a country that elected a head of state that had never set foot outside his own country!!!

@SteveX….actually, I have 3 of the same tree. The 2 I’ve gotten from the feed seedlings were not the giant, level 2 trees. They are just like the one I got from the Stouffer farm. And when you look at your orchard info, you can see that it’s not showing a giant tree as level 2 for the mac and cheese tree yet.
You can get more than one of the regular mac and cheese tree. Everyone can, apparently. And it is indeed fugly.

I agree with everyone that it’s unfair, even though its just a stupid tree and instant grow, its still something that certain countries are getting, and others are not. I understand there may be copyright restricts with the promo’s, however ZYNGA and Farmville are a worldwide game, therefore SOMETHING should be offered to everyone who is unable to get promo’s all the time. Or at least at times offer promo’s to OTHER countries aside from ONLY US, then people may not feel so left out all the time. Farmville has already become so obsessed with earning money that the game isn’t even fun unless you want to spend 100s of dollars. When I first started playing over a year ago the bulk of the game was coins, not farm cash, you can’t even get anything now except a stupid fence unless you spend real money. It would be nice if they gave out little freebies to EVERYONE once in awhile, considering how much money a lot of people do spend on the game. I live in Canada and can’t even get the stupid 100 coins, or collect a tree from other people’s newsfeeds!

Ok I have read all of these posts and I do so sympathize with all my international friends and Neighbors about this promotion being one sided. I do feel if promotions are gonna be aimed at US player’s then Zygna should be Then Aim all ad’s about this promotion to just those player’s. by this I mean Splash screen’s, viewable feed links/spam. same thing goes for if it was targeted at ONLY some non US country. it should only be seen by those that are eligible for it
Despite what some think, Not all of these promo’s are for all US player’s. the credit card promo’s a lot couldn’t get due to they wanted to be responsible and NOT acquire more Debt/ Credit cards specially for a FV animal? the 7-11 was open to all US however condition was you needed a 7-11 to get em and those sure aren’t all over the US. so it’s not just NON US people that’s gotten the short end. seems to be it’s Stouffer’s that allowed this By ONLY wanting to pay to have promo aimed @ one’s that the product in question to be a US promo. I’m seeing all these comments bashing american and non american player’s that’s just wrong. I’ve got neighbors that are international threatening to kick me off their Neighbor list JUST because I posted a Promo from when I got my tree even .. how is that fair?? i think its wrong and predujicial that zynga keep doing these promotions for us players only. there are players like me in the uk, as well as canada australia, europe, all over the world, yet its posted and we can all see it and its wrong. and when you first click on it you get a message saying you cant take part but can have 100 fv coins instead, not fv cash which could smooth things a bit, but coins. what can you buy on fv for 100 coins??? virtually zilch thats what. so today i got on my soapbox and formally complained to zynga to tell them i feel that all players should be treated equally. i am on level 97 and am totally peed off, i realise it is only a game and you could argue, i could get a life lol, but thats not the point, i actually enjoy playing. it just sucks that everyone who isnt a us resident is penalised.

@Rose….I can’t believe that you think what you typed passes for logic. I can’t believe that the person who suggested that people who can’t get a virtual tree, should get 5 $FV instead, thinks that passes for logic.
That people pay 5 $FV to acquire level 1 trees that they wish to master, does not automatically assign that value to a promotional give-away. Go sell one of those level 1 trees that you paid 5 $FV for, and see how much you get.
There’s a very good reason that Zynga isn’t going to give away something of significant cash value in lieu of a promotional item. Because as anyone who manages or participates in a social or gaming website knows, a significant portion of their “members” are duplicate accounts.
If they did something like that, the number of fake accounts that would be generated to acquire the actual cash value item would be off the charts. It’s the same reason you can’t send gift box items between user accounts, or re-gift anything from your gift box that has actual value.
I honestly don’t know what some people use for brains.

@Beverly….ummmm…the 28×28 expansion costs 4 million coins. I imagine a 30×30 expansion will cost more than that. And Beverly? A COIN price = FREE in this game. Unless you’re stupid enough to buy coins with actual money. But that would be your problem.
There are ways to accumulate several million coins every day, in this game, without spending a dime. If you’ve been playing for a while and haven’t figured any of them out yet, again, that’s your problem.
The paths in Frontierville are stupid and pointless. I’ve deleted most of them. I HOPE they don’t add those to Farmville.

So much for the Americans welcoming our Prime Minister yesterday and giving her a standing ovation when she declared Australia and America will be friends forever! there is so very much discrimination in this world and not getting a tree or instant grow or being excluded from a promotion has More outraged all around the world than the discriminations in our Real Lives? Sorry, I know everyone wants this .. you can get the tree’s off the feeds soon as your neighbor’s get seedlings to grow up. I for one wish They’ just remove ALL the Mac n cheese tree’s make EVERYONE BUY THEM then everyone will get made cause, they are all fvc tree’s when they were free. I agree it sucks that they limited this but that’s Stouffer’s screw up. @SteveX….seriously, the mac and cheese tree you got from the Stouffer farm is a level 2 tree. Go look at the orchard you have it in. There’s a 2 in the lower left hand corner of its picture. It will generate seedlings on your farm that will grow into the same tree. Really.
It turns out there is also a giant mac and cheese tree, and I just got one. It’s also a level 2 tree, and will generate seedlings for giant mac and cheese trees.

I am reluctant to return to post again on this subject, but there have been one or two responses I don’t feel I can ignore.
Karen@148/Farmerb81@143/et al – you, in various ways, make the point that because Zynga will make money from this Stuffer promotion, and because that is just ‘business’, it is OK.
Of course I realise that they will make money, and I do understand how these promotions work.
However I have the view that it is important that ‘business’ – the business of making money, can and should be ethical.
I will repeat that I am not personally interested in the Instant Grow or the Tree. I am interested in the principal of fairness.
Zynga market all the cash items in their game to every player, and accept the cash in all currencies from all parts of the world.
It is therefore quite unethical of them to discriminate against any of their players on any basis, and in this case on the basis of geography.
It is also, as I am sure you will recognise Karen, very bad business. As an accountant you will know that one of the most important items on a balance sheet is ‘Good Will’. A company that behaves in a way that loses it its Good Will, will very quickly lose its profit margins too.
You only have to see the number of angry posts here, and remember this is a very small sample of the total players, to realise the degree of anger there is in the Farmville game community over this. Zynga are experiencing a good deal of loss of Good Will on this issue, as are Stouffers. Absolutely not good business.
I don’t want to make this personal, but I can assure you that I do know what I am talking about. I have my own business, and have a son who has built up an international business making excellent profit, and neither of us have felt the need to behave in an unethical manner.
So Karen – Yes I am saying that if a promotion cannot be available to all players then Zynga should not run it at all. Think about it, if they averaged $1 a year from each players they would gross somewhere around $50million – and they average a lot more than $1 a year. They do not need to engage in promotions that discriminate against 60% of their players, and should not consider doing so.
To those who suggested various ways to appear to be US based for the purpose of this promotion, I am afraid you are missing the point. Every player has a right to participate in every aspect of the game, and no-one should have to try to disguise their geographical basis to do so.
Finally could I please make a plea for respect here. We make differ in our views but there is no justification for personal insults. A couple of these posts have called people stupid, and suggested they have mislaid their brains, because they don’t share the opinion of the writer.That is just not acceptable.
Everyone needs to respect everyone else, and respond to difference of opinion from that place of respect.

@Karen: I for one completely agree with you. Zynga is like any other business. Refusing to participate in a sponsorship like this would be a poor decision on the company’s part.
And before someone starts bashing on my being a ‘rude and arrogant’ American, I am not American. I too do not get most promotions, but am not going to boycott Stouffer’s and Farmville just because I didn’t get a stupid tree and instant grow.
@Cindy Huxley: Since when has business been ‘ethical’? Any truly successful company has either manipulated, found near illegal loopholes, or done far worse than refusing foreigners promotions. Zynga running this promotion makes the US players happy, thus making them continue to play the game. They aren’t stupid enough to miss an opportunity to encourage US players. While yes, a large portion of the players are foreign-based, all these people complaining aren’t going to actually stop playing. Are you guys really going to delete your farms just because of a missed opportunity? As for the fairness factor, business is business. The ‘unfairness’ of Zynga executives is exactly why they are incredibly wealthy and the complaining for fairness rest of the population are not. Also I have to point out that Zynga’s main financial providers are the sponsors, not the people themselves. While yes, we do pay a lot of money, 50 million a year is not much for a company that is of this size and has to pay for thousands of people’s jobs. One financial provider, paying for an advertisement that lasts one day, can probably earn Zynga millions. The game factor and FC is to attract more players, thus raising the amount of money Zynga can get from ads. Realize that this is a GAME. Overreacting and complaining like this isn’t going to turn a single head at Zynga.

ok this Free tree is NOT a level 1 it is ONLY a LEVEL 2 and we are all gonna have to pay 5fc(I HOPE) if we want the level 1′s just like we have been for weeks now. there is a rumor flying that US player’s are getting the Cauliflower crops NO we are NOT getting those as part of this promotion. wish people would check into things better before getting everyone in an uproar. the freebie tree also ONLY produce’s itself.
They need to stop advertising promo’s to people that won’t be Eligible for it that would solve a lot of issue’s. maybe even run diff promo’s for different parts of the globe. stopping the Promo Splash screen’s and teaser’s would do a lot and save a lot of blood pressure’s n Angry people from being upset.

I think this is pretty sad that not everyone can not do this promotion. When they have a promotion it should be for every farmville player internationally. It should not discriminate again you because you live in another county. I live in Canada and I buy Stouffer’s products why can’t I have a tree. You give to one you give to all whether they have the product to buy or not.

Actually what I see in posts and other Fv forum’s that’s even sadder is how people are bringing Politic’s and all that stuff into a Virtual game and promo issue. we as american player’s had absolutely No say in the way this promotion was planned as it was however today, I’ve seen our head of state slammed, people actually suggesting the international player’s delete any of their american friends/neighbors from their lists if they post the promo on feeds? how is this right? I mean come on we didn’t all get together and decide Oh let’s all just do a promotion that’s gonna alienate half the planet?
we’ve all seen these promotions and how they’ve worked since Zygna started doing them. I think if a NON US company wanted to do a promo for their countrymen they need to take it up with Zygna my guess is they don’t wanna have to deal with any international taxes or red tape. again I don’t know anything bout international law’s nor do I claim to be either.
I do agree it’s unfair but, when you think about it we’ve all been on the short end of the stick at times.. lost gifts lost farm item, Missing Farm cash, mystery game screwing up. the list goes on. everyone had an idea after the McDonald’s mess that this promo was gonna go just as it did. according to what I read on Forum’s a bit ago the tree’s will be in market prob as early as tomorrow (I am thinking soon as the promo expires) I won’t be surprised to see level 1 tree’s being the usual Fc price as the other’s have been last month or so. seeing as how level 2 tree was what was given for the promotion and will be flooding the feeds til we’re all sick of em.
This whole thing just makes me sad to see everyone tossing heated words and accusation’s at each other over a game. This world has a lot more serious problems that need to be fixed worse than a game. but, that’s just one woman’s view. =)

Well said. This is a promotion funded by Stouffers through Zynga Farmville game. Zynga receives the ad revenue and Stouffers gets the exposure to their target audience.
Remember that this is a virtual game. It is only an image on your screen!
It’s sad to read mostly adults (I assume) posting unbelievably juvenile comments. Is there any international governing body for you to address your grievance?

Em – 198. You know I find your post very sad. While people are prepared to accepted that businesses behave in unethical ways, then of course that will continue.
The fact that being unethical can make you money does not make it right.
It is actually possible to be ethical in business and still make excellent profits. And it is very important that right thinking people bring all the pressure they can to ensure that happens everywhere.
Because we operate a generally capitalist system in world politics, it does not have to be a selfish or unethical one. It can have integrity.
There are many companies actually who do operate from that basis and do very well.
Here in the UK we have investment funds that are based on only including companies that are shown to be ethical in their dealings.
My own family experience is that it is possible to build a successful company from a totally ethical base, to have integrity in the treatment of both staff and customers, and to make a profit in many millions.
Because something that is wrong has become common practice is no reason to accept it. Caring people of integrity should always speak out against any kind of injustice.

I love how heated everyone gets over a virtual game. lol. As for me, I got the tree and instant grow and it’s cool. I love the tree, I try to get as many limited edition trees as I can. And I love mac and cheese! as for the people outside the US, I do agree that they should get all the promotions that we do, but maybe the companies won’t allow it, I don’t know.

This annoies me that its just for US why do we in UK not get offers like that there are just as many brits playing FV and yet we get nothing I think this is something you should think carfeully about as soon eoungh you will lose gd game players when its all going onesided.
