Zynga Enters Partnership with Yahoo!

Zynga & Yahoo Partnership
Zynga has entered a partnership with Yahoo, meaning that FarmVille, Mafia Wars, Treasure Isle, YoVille, and Cafe World will be accessible through Yahoo and Yahoo related properties such as Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Games. Over 600 million Yahoo users will have access to their favorite Zynga games via Yahoo.
The partnership with Zynga and Yahoo, according to Brad Stone of the New York Times, “for Yahoo, the deal gives it another way to get its gigantic audience to spend even more time on the site. For Zynga, it lets the start-up hedge its bets and broaden beyond its dangerous dependence on Facebook.”
Recently Zynga formalized an agreement with FaceBook that includes a five year distribution deal to remain on FaceBook. However, Zynga is still on the move in internet real estate as it broadens its horizons beyond FaceBook and secures more valuable partnerships.

Although I’m sure this will only add over loaded servers and millions of angry farmer.. Its a smart move. You can’t depend on Facebook forever. If you are not continuously growing and building and stretching out.. you will eventually fade out. So yes, Good move Zynga. NOW WORK ON YOUR *BLEEPING* GAME ALREADY!!!!!!!!!
On the bad side… Zynga and Yahoo? YIKES… Two wrongs do NOT make a right! lmfao

I’m going to guess it’s just like farmville.com, and you enter your email address and that’s how it will recognize your farm.

Thats good.
I read the press release on yahoo finance. one point is:
‘Product integration of Zynga games with the Yahoo! Application Platform (YAP), Yahoo!’s OpenSocial container through which third-party developers can develop applications on Yahoo!’
that means, zynga games will utilize and run above Yahoo platform, get free from Facebook platform with its privacy problem. I like this.

Honestly, I’m only level 29 and I’m takning it smooth as I don’t want to rush to level 70 and just plant and harvest crops just for money! But I did make my decorating space smaller today to make room for more land!
