FarmVille Freak is happy to announce that Zynga’s official FarmVille Blog and Lady Gaga’s official website just released an official statement about the upcoming GagaVille promotion with FarmVille and Lady Gaga!
This first time ever promotion with a recording artist and FarmVille is an epic event that covers several new avenues both for social gaming and advertising focused on the promotion of the release of Lady Gaga’s upcoming album, “Born This Way”, which drops on May 23rd 2011.
Here’s what Lady Gaga has to say about this event, “I want to celebrate and share ‘Born This Way’ with my little monsters in a special way that’s never been done before, Zynga has created a magical place in FarmVille where my fans can come play, and be the first to listen to the album.” This marks the second time that Lady Gaga and Zynga have partnered together. Zynga announced that FarmVille players would get exclusive access to preview a “first listen” of unreleased songs from Lady Gaga’s upcoming album, Born This Way, when visiting the GagaVille Farm. GagaVille, scattered with Unicorns, glitter, crystals, leather, and Sheep on Motorcycles will be a Lady Gaga inspired FarmVille farm that you can visit in FarmVille similar to other promotional farms.

This is great news…if I was a seriously depressed pop culture obsessed 14 year old girl. Maybe Zynga should try and get some country artist in here for a promo like this. Seems I bet more FARMville players would like to see some Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert or Brad Paisley swag on their Farm than an untalented, I dress in weird clothes to get attention cause my daddy didn’t love me enough coked out pop star.

For me I will not promote nothing of Gaga … I am not saying all her songs are trash songs … But I watched little of the monster ball e all of it was nothing but fifth … I am only 20 so it’s not that I am just some old person speaking out against her … She is not one that I think you should be trying to promote for young people to want to follow in her footsteps nor would I promote someone like Brittney Spears … There is many talented people you could pick that is more worthy than Gaga!

This is the official last straw for me. Zynga couldn’t be bothered to release anything for FarmVille to benefit the states that suffered so much devastation during last month’s tornadoes and yet they can waste their time creating a farm and a countdown for some no-talent freak? I think Zynga needs to do a poll on the average age of Farmville players..I think this is a massive way for Zynga to haul in more $$$$$$$$ for sure. But they let players continually cheat and get away with crap on here and then punish the loyal legal players with a bunch of BS. Today a FV neighbor from Bulgaria posted a link for collectibles, I clicked thinkin something must have happened and that’s why she posted the link. only to find that is was for a mystery dart. Something I pay for and she got 27 for nothing WTF pissed me off got rid of her ass to..I don’t play very much at all anymore, just to pass a lil time..Used to LOVE this game, not so much any more

I don’t want Gaga on my farm. I don’t want country music on my farm, or metal, or jazz, or trance, or opera, or… anything. I don’t want musicians that I LOVE on my farm. I want Farmville on my farm.
I’ll take the unicorn, possibly, considering how much of my soul I have to scrape up for it.
I like Gaga, not a true fan, but I like her in that sell-out sideshow way. I don’t go out of my way to watch her or listen to her, and I do think she can sing well (and I sing professionally, to each their own). I think her… style… is interesting and fun. It doesn’t shock me. As far as inappropriate goes, have you listened to music in the past few decades? Songs about sex have been on the radio for at least fifty years. Welcome to planet Earth. The same place that invented the “Tween”, AKA sexy outfits for children. Tween. Between what?
Gaga gave money to Zynga for Japan. Kudos to Gaga. So did I, but my money is nothing compared to hers. Lots of celebs dug into their pockets for Japan, but she used Zynga, and then Gaga exploded onto FV, happy accident? This is how people buy your product, it’s called promotion. I’m sure this is just the beginning for Zynga and music.
Still, I am not interested in seeing her on my farm. But considering I usually sell all the free promo junk we get from other businesses I guess I’ll do the same with any of these freebies. So, nice for the people who want it, and for those that don’t we’ll do as we do, too.
Which brings me to these messages I’m seeing…
Why is it you can’t say you dislike something without getting a “complainer” label? What the hay? People can say they like things or not. How rude to tell people to not express their opinions. No need to be mean about it. I’m usually plenty supportive of things posted here, you’re never going to find a post where everyone agrees.
Also this “free game” is “free” thanks to the many people, like me, who pay for it. It’s been well over a year and people still don’t get that. Nothing is free, someone, somewhere, is always paying for it.
So shout out you quit and see if Zynga cares. I feel bad for you, because you’re taking a stand for what you believe, which is honorable, still, Zynga doesn’t care.

Oddball idea—i do think that Carrie Underwood or some artist of that nature would appeal to more FV players–that said, its an interesting counter promotion; My wife and I are dinosaurs, and we like Gaga (not all her songs, but hey) so we will be intrigued. But Zynga ought to think about a more mainstream artist next time. But it does sound like fun.

There is no way to please everyone, but at least they are trying new things.

I’m not a huge Gaga fan, but I do like some of her music. And am completely in love with her taste in shoes lol I think the unicorns and stuff will be fun, and way better than anything they would get with country stars. Another tractor? To everyone complaining : pay more attention to farmville’s surveys. A few weeks ago they had one about which celebrity you would like to see on your farm. They had a lot of choices but Gaga was by far the most popular of those listed. I can understand why so many people dislike her but saying that it’s inexplicable that Zynga would want a promotion with her is ridiculous.
As for those that say she isn’t talented or that all of her songs are trashy, maybe you should listen to some of her songs that weren’t singles before you judge. Although, anyone saying that Born This Way sends a bad message and/or is trash clearly isn’t hearing the lyrics. I’m not saying Gaga and her antics don’t drive me up the wall or that some of her opinions aren’t a little messed up, but she is talented and saying that she isn’t just because you don’t like her is silly.

Oh this is just Great… I hate Lady Gag. I dont think shes talented at all. She is only know for being an attention wh**e with messed up (dare i say) clothing, Blasphemy, being so full of her self, and copying most artist before her time (Madonna, Britney, Christina and a few other people from the 80′s – 90′s) I ignore anything I see her on or promoting because i really dont want to give her more attention then she already has, so i guess ill be working on my Farm Town farms until this is over. This is simply fantastic, and I’m not even a Lady Gaga fan. I think she’s cool, though, has a great voice, her music and style are fun, so I’m expecting a lot of fun items. I’m already in love with the motorcycle sheep, hehe.
I hope Zynga keeps on bringing interesting, different stuff into this game. I was rather losing interest and abandoning the games, but the English Farm and the awesome Doctor Who police box reference brought it back and have been playing nonstop again, even spending some money on the really cool stuff. I still have hopes they join forces with BBC America and create a whole Doctor Who theme, that would be brilliant. But really, whatever they do, whoever artist wins the polls, even if I don’t like his/her music, I will be happy for as long as they keep innovating and bringing cool, new stuff, not the same boring things we’re all very, very used to already.
And come on, the most exciting part of this is that, supposedly, you’ll be able to use the items across other Zynga games through RewardVille. Can’t wait to revamp my already funky, 80′s inspired Cafe with some crystal/leather/glittery/meaty/crazy stuff. You’ve been really winning me back and I bet your business is going better than ever. If I read the Zynga announcement properly, the Unicorn is ONLY available IF you buy a $25 Game Card through Best Buy (in US & Canada). So I guess I won’t be getting a Unicorn then.
OK, I will be able to participate in the other parts like the quests. But what about the codes? How is anyone outside the US able to get the redemption codes to unlock the special items? And even if we get them, will we be able to unlock the items (thinks of the 7-11 promo)?
Come on Zynga, play fair – At least give everyone a chance at getting the animals from offers even if you don’t let us get free farmcash. You let us ‘buy’ the Shanklee House (with coins) and we don’t even have that company in the UK!!

Please tell me this is a JOKE. Lady Gaga is the worst singer I have ever heard in my entire life. I would not listen to her music nor buy her album or even take one free. It is the worst noise I have ever heard. I hate RAP but would rather listen to that than GAGA noise. Can’t understand her or stand to look at her. I think she is a joke and anyone can do what she does. MAKE NOISE. As for the Mafia game doing something for the tornado victims that is great but if FV can do things for other countries what is the deal with not helping here at home. We have a terrible mess in AL from the tornadoes and then there is the flooding in TN. Why don’t we do something with class for these states here at home. I believe in helping others and I also believe it starts here at home. I would do anything on FV to help the tornado victims and the TN flood victims. It is sad that zynga has not even asked us what we would like to hear as far as music. Personally I don’t think we need any music. I am just in shock that you are putting someone like Gaga on here and there are children on here and other age groups too that don’t need to see trash. Sorry if any of you don’t like this but that is just not my problem. I am playing a FARM game not a trashy glitter game..

I think it’s unfortunate that Zynga decided to partner with Lady Gaga in such a way. Because I do not like nor agree with Lady Gaga I will not play FV during Gagaville (May 17-26). Maybe Zynga won’t notice that my family (I’m over level 100 and my family is close to 100) isn’t farming that week, but it’s not about them it’s about standing up for my convictions. I just don’t want to support Lady Gaga and or Zynga while they partner with her.
And for the record, I would love to have a church that I can put on my farm. I’m one of those folks (although not a redneck) who cling to my Bible and guns, and I think the majority of those who play FV do too.

This has been my favorite promo so far. This one was my first promo with farmville I liked visiting Gagaville and hearing the previews. I am not a diehard Lady Gaga Fan like some people. Visitng her farm was fun. The rewards and gifts worked. My only complaint would be that Farmville did not give us enough formulas to use the special Gagaville Crops. The electric roses can be used in the English Pub to make Sparking Rose mead or in the Spa to create Rose Flame Candles. But nothing was created for Chrome Daisies or Crystals. I have over 100 bushels of these little beauties that need to be used up or dumped. I really don’t like the idea of having wasted my coins & time on harvesting something I ultimately cannot use. I am still hoping that Farmville will come up with some formulas soon to resolve that.
