FarmVille Chicken Coop Glitch: Chicken Coops triggering more coops!

The latest glitch in FarmVille is allowing multiple Chicken Coops (again)!
Many FarmVille Freaks have reported that after they placed their chickens in Coops, their Coops “hatched” another Chicken Coop!!! So, without “cheating” they’ve legally obtained multiple coops. No notice appears stating what’s happened, when another Coop appears.

Some are triggering the glitch merely by moving their Chicken Coops, while others report triggering it while placing Chickens inside.
Here are some testimonials from fellow FarmVille Freaks on how they believe the glitch was triggered:
“My chicken coop hatched a new chicken coop, so now i have 4, can you put a notice for comments? There was no message popup, just the pink icon after i just harvested the coop for coins only, so i clicked move and there was number 4.” (FarmVille Freak Bridget M., Australia)
“I thought I should forward a picture of my farm to let you know something strange happened. While I was trying to put gold chickens into the coop, I noticed that the count didn’t go up, so I moved the coop thinking that I had accidentally placed it behind the coop. When I moved the coop, there was another coop there holding one white chicken and the gold one I was missing. I didn’t do anything to create it, it was just there. This morning the same thing happened with a chicken not going in and I moved the coop to get it and there was another chicken coop. “… my friend Luke got a “bug” or strange thing at farmville .. he didn’t print screen it, but he discoverd some golden eggs and got the best presents EVER … and didn’t get it once,, but 10 times or so .. he got CHICKENS COOPS !!!!!!!!!!! It’s true, saw it with my own eyes .. he now has 14 chicken coops, and didn’t use the “hatch an egg coop bug” (it won’t work anymore). I moved my coop cause I thought a chick had gone behind it also & ended up finding 4 more coops….I sold 3 of them & then a few hours later when it was time to harvest my coop there was 3 more under it again.

This is happening to me, it seems that after every time I finish a barn raising, I have another coop. I have finished 3 rounds of barn raisings today, and I have had another coop after every one…I put chickens in them cuz i thought maybe it was the way it was working….I dont want to lose my chickens though if all of a sudden my coops disappear…

i can’t get it..I manage my mom’s farm and I got it on her farm but it does not work on mine..figures..but then she does get all the fuel refills from the golden chickens!!!
I have tried every combination on my farm..followed the video to the “T”, and even tried after barn raising but to no avail!!
Not fair (using a very whiny voice while pouting uncharacteristically!)

Mine is still doing it, I probably had 20 coops so far, it started last night and has done it off and on today. I’ve sold all but 3 and have taken all of my gold chickens out and filled them up with white chickens for now just in case they disapear.

I thought I was going nuts when my coop kept showing it was ready after being harvested. But when I tried to add a chicken, it ate them. I came here and read about the glitch and sure enough I got 4 more coops.

Hi, I had the same thing with GardenSheds. Moved my original shed, and ended up with 4 sheds lol! Don’t need 4 sheds, so I sold them all XD

Ok people the trick to the coop cloneing is ,your coop has to be in the very top corner of your farm as in the video,wont work anywhere else. I have triedthis several places on multiple farms (family members farms). When you get a full expansion on your barn storage it will give you 1 coop . I did this on a farm that started with 1 coopand now has twelve .
Also if you zoom in as close as you can you can see the roof of the clone coop under you origional coop . You can then point to the lower roof and it will say 1 of 20 inside…………………………Hope this may help a little since we all want more coops.

I still cannot get my chicken coop to work tho..bummer and to think I have so many gold chickens!
On a positive note..my coop is now giving golden eggs 7 out of every ten tries…getting to that eggcellent ribbon quite quickly!

i was moving my chickens t a bigger pen and i moved my coop and another one appeared. i thought it was given to us. i didn’t know i have only been playing abour a month. what should we do with it.? hopefully i won’t gert in trouble for something i didn’t do. but thanks farmville!

you need to put the coop in the right corner of your farm and then move it a little bit to the left, after that do the barn expand. worked for me.

My concern is that Zynga will remove the extra COOPS and we will lose the chickens we have placed in them. That would be a bit of a shame.

It happened to me as well. I suddenly became an owner of THREE chicken coops yesterday. But I sold the two ones – I didn’t like the idea of being a violator.

This is how it works!!!
Place your Chickencoop in the upper right corner of your farm. Nowhere else it works!
Then buy a toolshed and start a barnraising for it.
After 10 friends klicked your raising-link, go back to your farm.
Your toolshed was upgraded and start another upgrade of it to reech the maximum store for it.
Then, after 10 friends klicked your raisinglink again, your toolshed is on the maximum…. Mehr anzeigen
When you visit your farm after your toolshed got the maximum, the storage openes itself to show you your upgraded toolshed.
Close the window and close your farm.
Reopen your farm and go to your chicken coop with your mouse.
Klick on it and “Move” it somewhere else.
There should be one coop still in the corner and one placed where you clicked!
Move the chickencoop in the corner again somewhere else and the same happenes!
Because everytime some of your storings are upgraded, you get one copy of your chickencoop when you placed it in the upper right corner first!
I took 3 copys from my chickencoop!
Im sure there are more to get when you sell your toolshed and buy another and redo all the instructions!

hey .. i cant expand my storage …i expanded the storage of my barn then i bought 2 tool sheds but they dont have a option of expanding storage ….so can anyone please help me out

1)Move your chicken coop to the top right corner of your farm. Again, you can have your chicken coop fed, unfed, full, empty, or anywhere in between. Just as long as you position the coop at the top most corner of your farm.
2)Expand a tool shed or barn. If you need to, go buy a shed and put it anywhere on your farm. The location of this building doesn’t matter. To expand your building, click on it and say “expand storage,” then when the Storage window pops up, click expand and have the barn raising ceremony with all your friends and neighbors.
3)Wait for your building to be expanded.
4)Expand your storage again. and wait for your friends to build your barn.
5)Leave and come back to Farmville. (basically refresh your browser)
6)Check your Gift box, Go to your Storage Box, click on “expand storage” and you should see multiple Chicken Coops in your storage.
7)Move your original Chicken coop to anywhere else, and as you move it, you should see another chicken coop immediately underneath where your original coop was.

I have found another glitch! The chicken coop one happened to me after I did two barn raisings, and I ended up moving my coop and finding two others! Then I bought a second barn with a low maximum storage capacity. I clicked on barn raising, then when I looked at the new barn, I discovered it had been filled with a replica of all the things in my old barn (22 in total even though it should have had a capacity of six items) and furthermore had the same storage capacity as my “raised” barn – over 30 items even though it should only have held 12 when fully raised! This happened even though only two friends had signed up to help my barn raising at that time!

i did this and it worked for me but then i got greedy and deleated my barn before it was fully expanded now its jamed and i cant expand anything even if i buy a new one its seems that shed gets shed and barns get coops

I have the same problem but with my garden shed, everytime I move it I get a new one.

I’m confused. Two friends fed my chickens this morning… Then I collected some eggs from another friends coop… And now it’s saying my chickens haven’t been fed… What’s going on?

It is sort of a glitch but not really approx. 1 month ago I read on Zynga’s site that you could actually Hatch chicken coops, I just don’t think it is supposed to work the way people are stating, I believe that it is supposed to only work when you hatch a gold mystery egg, Zynga will no doubt figure out the glitch and fix it. Until then happy coop hatching!!!

READ THIS!! I KNOW HOW IT WORKS!!!!
First, you have to put your chicken coop to the top corner of the farm. Now, every time you upgrade any of your sheds (maybe works with barns too, i’m not sure), you get 1 more chicken coop there. (if you upgrade to the 3rd star, you will get 2 more) It doesn’t matter how many chicken are in that coop. You don’t need to move those coops until you get the wanted amount.
BE FAST!!! IF ZYNGA FINDS THIS OUT, THEY WILL DO SOMETHING TO MAKE IT STOP!!! TOMORROW MAY BE LATE!!!

We shouldn’t get banned. It’s not a rule that we can’t have more. It’s not forbidden. Btw, zynga should not ban these addicted players because they might be potential farmcash buyers.

Yay!! That worked. I had tried doing it first where my chicken coop was originally (upper left-center of farm) and nothing worked. Then I moved it to the upper right like suggested and now I have two. Sooooo happy!

Actually, having more than one coop on your farm IS considered a “Cheat” by Zynga. They’ve specifically said on their official board (in several places) that having more than one on your farm is not allowed and should they discover it or it be reported, ou will be banned from the game. Sooner or later, they’re going to fix the problem and — just like the dairy farms — you risk losing not only the coop but the chickens in the coop. It would be easier, safer and legal to just expand your one existing coop and not risk being shut out of the game. JMHO.

Farmville banning people from the game.
I have over 250 neighbors, and now just about everyone of them have extra coops. Farmville can say we are not suppose to have multiple chicken coops but our farms are producing extra coops. This is their error, so they need to fix it not punish their customer base.
I have 7 coops and will not bother selling them nor getting rid of them. I invest a minimum of 20 bucks a month to farmville because I enjoy the game. They want to ban me, they lose me as a customer. Zygna would be stupid to ban all the players with multiple coops. They need to invest the time in their programmers and making sure there aren’t glitches.
This is just my 2 cents for what it is worth.

Beware! I just moved one of my coops to the corner and when I clicked on my other (existing) one, it vanished. And it was full of black and gold chickens! I don’t know if FV is working on the glitch and I just have horrible timing (surely no one reported me) or what. But in my quest to get a third coop, I lost a full one! So be VERY careful.

I logged on today and the 2nd Chicken Coop that I obtained legally (was in my barn) was gone with all 29 chickens I worked so hard for! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Have tried ALL of your suggestions, including spending hard earned FV cash expanding my barns, and still only have 1 coop. Am very happy for those who got them, sad for the rest of us. Happy Farming!

yup, I harvested my coop and there was still a pink triangle on top…turns out I had 4 extra coops sitting behind my original. I had noticed that in my ‘expand storage’ window I had extra coops but just thought it was a bug. So, I filled ‘em up…hope I don’t lose my chickens if they disappear! I harvested them and got eggs on 3/4.

my boyfriend and me both tried to get these “extra” chicken coops and it didnt work for us, but it did work for my bf’s friend. oh well, it really doesnt matter to us and we’re not going to try a ton of different “supposed tricks” to make it work, and risk taking the chance of getting kicked off of farmville for extra coops that are glitches, even if it is zynga’s glitch. the game was still made by them, so they have every right to kick someone off for not following the rules…and when people post their tricks to make a glitch happen, it’s not really a glitch anymore…you are following instructions on how to make a glitch happen for you on purpose, which is considered in my eyes (and zynga’s most likely) to be cheating. and btw, what’s the big deal about having extra coops neways, besides getting mystery eggs and being able to harvest all your chickens at once instead of having to click on each one individually? when you get a mystery egg, you dont get to keep it for yourself anyways…yeah the mystery eggs count towards ribbons now, but you dont get to hatch the egg for yourself. this glitch is DEFINITELY not worth the time, effort, and risk of getting in trouble. lol

if found out how it works… you must expand the size of your barn or anything else i guess and then move your chicken coop. if you have more than one then you have to figure out which one its behind. for every time i expanded it once i got only 1 chicken coop so now i have 4!

1)Move your chicken coop to the top right corner of your farm. Again, you can have your chicken coop fed, unfed, full, empty, or anywhere in between. Just as long as you position the coop at the top most corner of your farm.
2)Expand a tool shed or barn. If you need to, go buy a shed and put it anywhere on your farm. The location of this building doesn’t matter. To expand your building, click on it and say “expand storage,” then when the Storage window pops up, click expand and have the barn raising ceremony with all your friends and neighbors.
3)Wait for your building to be expanded.
4)Expand your storage again. and wait for your friends to build your barn.
5)Leave and come back to Farmville. (basically refresh your browser)
6)Check your Gift box, Go to your Storage Box, click on “expand storage” and you should see multiple Chicken Coops in your storage.
7)Move your original Chicken coop to anywhere else, and as you move it, you should see another chicken coop immediately underneath where your original coop was.

Michael the same thing happened to a friend of mine
He had already done all his storage expansion b4 he learned of the glitch so he thought..no big deal..ill delte my storage and start fresh..now he gets the same thing u get…no option to EXPAND or BUY once he got more sheds & barns..hence he lost all his storage and now cant get it back or use the glitch…

I was just looking at my Chicken Coop as well. I got a Black Chicken as a gift and placed it in the coop. When I looked I couldn’t find it in there. I thought I lost it. Then I moved the coop around and I got another chicken coop. I dont know why this is happening, but I really hope I dont lose my chickens that are inside. This is really weird.

not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but as i went to harvest my coop i noticed the coins i earned for harvesting the coop kept going up past the normal 600 or so.. in fact it kept racking up to atleast 30,000 before the box popped up saying i didnt get any special eggs.

THIS ARE THE STEP YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW IN ORDER TO THIS TRICK WORK OUT:
1)Move your chicken coop to the top right corner of your farm..
2)Expand a tool shed or barn.
3)Wait for your building to be expanded.
4)Expand your storage again. and wait for your friends to build your barn.
5)Leave and come back to Farmville.
And this work for garden shed too.

I didn’t try to make this happen…I wasn’t even aware that you could make it happen. I just saw a pink thing over my coop and thought an animal was behind it. There were just a ton of coops. Got 7 now. If they do decide to take the coops away that is fine by me but I sure hope they don’t take my chickens with it.

I didn’t do anything special to get extra coops at all. I expanded 1 shed twice, and 1 barn twice for a total of 4 expansions, and got 4 extra coops. My original coop was not in the upper corner.

came back today to see if there where news about whats going to happen to those of us with multiple coops, and, reading about people losing the coops and..the chickens …naaaaa, got my chickens out of the extra coops and sold them..not worth losing my golden chickens over a glitch. The original one keeps giving me 2 extras every day i i’ll keep selling them. The truth is that zynga can do what they want, and i do think they wont ban anyone, but its possible they take the extras away, with chickens and all, so i’m not risking it.
More I anwsered the post on zynga’s forum about this, so if i get an awnser i’ll post it here for everyone to know.

I found several new chicken coops under my first one! I am going to keep them, if they get taken away so be it. I have gold chicks, but I will just earn them back again. It’s not the end of the world if they are gone.

don’t you thinkt that if that millions of farmville users get these mulitiple chicken coops of a sudden zynga will decide to let them keep them or at least expand the limit for chicken coops to 5 or something like that?
that would be best – i really don’t think that these tons of millions of members will be banned: who should then pay for FV and else?
that whole glitch is zynga’s fault so they have to keep up with it, what d’you think?

Does anyone have any idea why FV won’t give me an option to expand my Barn or Sheds with 3 of them left to be expanded? They’re also completely full and i still don’t get an option and i have tried buying new sheds and STILL nothing, it worked just fine Saturday and now it doesn’t…need help here please…Has anyone h…ad this problem, know someone who has or have a solution to it?

I just went to Zygna’s forum’s to see if there was anything about the coops issue. This is what I found. So in my opinion they can not ban anyone, it is their error.

If you are trying the chicken coop loophole and already have a shed or barn in process, don’t sell it to start another. I thought the situation required a new shed so I sold off one in progress, and when I bought the new storage building the option to expand doesn’t appear. I think its because Farmville thinks I already have one in the cue. No buttons appear for the new building, not even to allow you to Give Up or Buy.
I hope after three days pass, it will time out, and maybe the chicken coop glitch will still be available. Probably not, but wth.

Ahh..No… I wont pm Zynga or anybody with my UID! lol I am with you Misty. They should be able to figure it out. At least some excitement on FV. I am past unlocking anything new and to be honest, it was starting to get boring. They need new things to unlock. Not, ribbons either! NEw decorations, buildings and things to look forward to.
I wonder when they will add more than the “allowed 30 gifts” for your giftbox. That gets annoying. Cafe’ World also by Zynga, you can hold 200+ gifts.

Couple of things about this… Farmer Brown’s video says your coop has to be in the upper right corner – that is not correct. My coop wasn’t there but I got extras. I’m maxed out on storage now, but still got more today buy purchasing a tool shed and expanding it. Every time it expanded I got another coop.
Why some get coops and others get sheds I’m not exactly sure. I have another account that got sheds – only difference is the one that got coops had FV $ barns while the one that got sheds has only FV coin barns.
I also tested the old trick of getting multiple coops that it still works. Sell your existing coop, then every time you collect an egg a coop gets placed in your gift box (until you place them – once you place one you won’t get any more in your gift box).

The bug is still there. My game was lagging badly and I thought I lost two chickens so I went to move my coop and another one appeared, I got an out of sync error on it and went back, coop still there. This was yesterday.
Today I tried to harvest from my main coop again, game lagged out, it wouldn’t let me harvest so I did a move, had more coops. Had 9, sold 2, could of kept going I guess but didn’t. Went back again, coops there but not the ability to get more

Ok.. I did some more tests. I tested my other account that was getting garden sheds each time. I moved the coop to the upper right corner and expanded again. This time I got a coop – so my apologies to Farmer Brown – it does work.

I have some questions regarding the post by Big Al
If I sell my coop and collect a mystery egg, does that hatching have to be a chicken to get a new coop in my gift box? I would think a zen garden would not result in getting a coop?:-)
Does this trick work if someone gifts me a chicken?
How many can I collect in my box before I need to place them? I just want a couple more coops to share gold mystery eggs. I’m doing this with one coop now, and could share more with another coop?

Still think this is cheating…….glitch or not. Once you find out about something doesn’t mean you should do it as well. Yes I know it works some of my neighbors have 20 to 30 extra coops on their farm. Also heard farmville pointblank said if you get caught with more then one coop you will be banned for life from the game. Is it really worth the risk so you can say oh look I have 20 coops or 10 garden sheds. Called cheating! I’ll stick to playing the honest way. From what I heard if you get caught you are done no more playing farmville period!…. *shrugs* not my words its theirs.
Hate to be a bummer why does everyone feel the need to take a minor glitch and turn it into a free for all and why would you want all those coops and garden sheds is it worth it and aren’t you playing farmville for the enjoyment of creating a amazing farm and not bragging who has the most of what……..Ugh! I’ll stick to my one shed and coop at least I know can play for a long time and not get banned
Notice all these persons with extra coops are now hiding them behind trees and such they know they are wrong as well.

Rats!!! Missed again, I keep hitting these things too late. I followed the directions to the letter, no luck. Mr. Brown was right, about how as well as the fact that they would be on the fix for this one quick.
I’m only posting this in hope that another methode is discovered.

There was a glitch with the coops that as far as i know has been fixed. I found this in a discussion,i’m not sure where now, but it worked for about 2 days.
Place your Chickencoop in the upper right corner of your farm.
Then buy a toolshed and start a barnraising for it.
After 10 friends klicked your raising-link, go back to your farm.
Your toolshed was upgraded and start another upgrade of it to reech the maximum store for it.
Then, after 10 friends klicked your raisinglink again, your toolshed is on the maximum.
When you visit your farm after your toolshed got the maximum, the storage openes itself to show you your upgraded toolshed.
Close the window and close your farm.
Reopen your farm and go to your chicken coop with your mouse.
Klick on it and “Move” it somewhere else.
There should be one coop still in the corner and one placed where you clicked!
Move the chickencoop in the corner again somewhere else and the same happens!
Because everytime some of your storings are upgraded, you get one copy of your chickencoop when you placed it in the upper right corner first!

Dewi reason you can’t lay down extra coop in gift box and get the ‘out sync’ message is because zynga staff have already fixed that glitch/cheat so it won’t work now. Best thing you can do now with extra coops in gift box is to sell them.

I had the glitch last week but UNFORTUNATELY it was on my garden shed!!! I now have about 7 garden sheds that I really didn’t want! I wish it would work on my chicken coop especially since I have about 100 chickens that I don’t know what to do with!!!!! I just don’t know what Farmville is thinking by only allowing us 1 coop….worst idea they’ve had!

I take care of my neighbor’s farm and she is in her upper 50s, and I am 47. Just today,I clicked on her one coop,and there was another pink almond on it. So,I thought I might have missed a chicken behind it. When I moved it, there was a second chicken coop. We are too old to cheat in this game.
I have aobut 100 gold chickens in mine, I couldn’t be that lucky as of yet. She only has 6 chickens on her farm.

I am new to farmville. My friend told me that only one is allowed. I was playing and collecting eggs but ot prompted me that I need a chicken coup. When I logged in to farmville. I had two chicken coups in my gift box and apparently both can be placed on the farm!

Today I hatched one egg and got a chicken coop (as I didn’t have any coop on my farm.) Then before placing my chicken coop on the farm, i hatched another neighbour’s egg, and again got a chicken coop. So i could get multiple chicken coops this way. But I’m scared to put them on my farm.. as ZYNGA might delete them.

Hi there! I m sure that i write in the wrong post but maybe you can help me… You see i cant expand any of my barn or chicken coop.I publish the first notification for expand the first day everything works fine so far but thats it. No more messages for the next days. The icon at the left top of my farm does not appear. I believed that was a problem and there in farmville would fix it when first happend in barn expansion. But i m facing the same whith chicken coop.
Does anyone knows what happens? Perhaps I do something wrong but i dont think so its so simple for everyone else but me. has anyone faced the same situation??

Ok when they had all the valentines hoopla going on and the collections I ended up with 12 coops. They didn’t work and am finding even the ones the did work when all the glitches went down are getting deleted. Talked to one of my neighbors he had 50 coops. Why I asked he said he liked them and felt above all of us other farmers. Ugh anyhow I deleted mine and notice his don’t work anymore and is slowly deleting them one by one. Think he has about 20 now and a ton of chicken running around his farm.
The glitched coops won’t expand nor lay eggs. What is the use of having them except for storage. I already lost one pure golden egg coop to the glitch don’t feel it is worth keeping them.
