FarmVille Warning! Do NOT click “turn on the lights”
UPDATE: Zynga has refunded all those affected by this Christmas Light glitch who lost farm cash. The refund should have been automatically and you did not have to contact them to get it.
With the round of updates made to FarmVille on 01.06.10, there was a glitch involving the Christmas Lights feature that may have cost you some farm cash.
Several FarmVille Freaks have reported that after they accidentally or curiously clicked on an icon of “Turn on the Lights” they were automatically charged 34 FV$ for Christmas lights even if they had not previously purchased them.
Comments from FarmVille Freaks:
“DO NOT TURN ON LIGHTS, I lost 34 cash without purchasing anything, just after a ‘Out of Sync’ Issue.” (FarmVille Freak Felix)
“For me too i didnt know what unlimited lights meant. I clicked to preview like i usually do for FV cash items without actually clicking and placing it on my farm but i lost 30 FV cash with this function. I didnt want to purchase such an expensive item. I was very disappointed. Is there something that can be done to recover my farm cash????? (FarmVille Freak Natasha)
“In today’s updates, there was a problem with the christmas lights, even if u haven’t bought them, u could turn the lights on in lots of your farm objects, so, i decided to try it, then, zynga launched a yellow bar, which anounces: DO NOT USE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, ok, but i had already used it, when i refreshed the page, MY FARMCASH HAS POOFED, they tricked me, its like if i had bought the lights. I had purchased 55 FV$ for $10.00 and my cash is down by 34 for some reason and I did not purchase the unlimited lights, but I did click on it. Ahh I only bought them so I can buy the new mystery boxes!

I saw “Turn on Lights” on the menu when I clicked on the Garden Shed, I clicked it but I thought that was strange and I saw it on the menu for other buildings. Then I saw the warning saying do NOT click on the lights. I went back and clicked on “Turn off the lights” but it was to late I just noticed that I have lost all my FV dollars and I was left with just 1 FV$.

, not cool, at least its not 30, but still, I was saving to buy that pony and being on level 40 already I won’t be able to get there by losing that 2 fv cash cause i need like 10000 or more exp for each level

i am trying for hours to get to my farm but it isnt working, zynga must be making some really big update that they dont let anyone access their farm, i accepted some fuel refills hope i dont lose them
god thanks i didnt buy those lights because its damn difficult to make cash if you are a level 38………………………………………………………..
oh and by the way all the other zynga games are working(cafe world, petville etc.).

Yeah after I went on my farm, had a look and fed all my friends chickens, Ive tried to get back on and it just wont load, Ive been trying for like an hour to get back on, but it just wont work

I agree Van, I feel like they did that on purpose, they just do that when they introduced the new mystery box and limited edition and also they just keep offering their discount deal again. I don’t think they will give it back, claiming they have no way of knowing who lost what!

Same thing, clicked on turn on lights, got error message, FV zeroed.
Then fed chickens and couldn’t return to home farm page. That was hours ago and still not fixed!

I also had the issue with loading my Farm. I couldn’t access it the whole morning. 15 minutes ago I suddenly could and found out that I lost 8 FV$ (all of what I had). I also found out that the Turn Lights On feature was not available anymore.
I reported my loss of cash to Zynga support. Let’s wait and see.
BTW: I cannot access my Farm at this moment again.

I was able to get into Farmville earlier today, but after feeding a few coops I have been dead in the water since. I cannot get to my farm also others cannot visit my farm. With all the new things happening today, why now??? I’m missing out on a lot of mystery eggs, fuel, gifts, this really suck!!!

Phew, I thoought I was the only one not being able to load farmville. The loading meter reaches nearly the end and then just remains there. They must be having problems. I suppose thats why it’s a Beta.

I don’t think this has anything to do with the 2 coop issue. Some of my friends have two coops and doing all type of cheats and they’re not having a problem I have one coop and I have not been able to access FV for 8 hours now. The banner at the top of the screen says fix coming soon so hopefully that’s the case.

Ok, almost 24 hours and still cannot get to Farmville! One questions; The presents that I receive, will they still be available to be opened after the 7th if I still cannot login? I had put lights on my tool shed . When i was about to harvest my trees , I saw we could put lights to it …….FREE . After i did it on all my trees the sync error came .
When i OKAYED it , all my fv cash was gone

Zynga cheats my FV dollar!!!
I tried turning on the lights and it has took my FV dolllars! How the #@%^ we know turning on the lights will cost us FV dollar?? Worst of all, i tried it on my cottage and my greenhouse and they all go out of sync. which means I don’t even get my effects and my FV’s gone!!!!!

I too lost my FV. I had 26 FV but 2day before it reduced to 1. Just want to know my FV reduced? Is there any chance to get them back as I not purchase or clicked any thing.

I have lost approximately 400 to 600 fv’s due to losing my workshop twice on gus mcdaniel farm, i also am dueing steven p. jobs farm whis i also lost my workshop. plus other screw ups on farmsvilles mistakes. would very much to be rembursed for these mistakes which come out of my pocket. you can look on my accounts and see i spend quite a bit on fv’s. this will stop unless you guys make good on your side. i know i have been screwed out of 600 or more fv’s/. would like to here fromm you all. would like to know if this is the right plsce to file this complaint. my email williammcdaniel82@yahoo.com. the sooner the better.
