Zynga responds to the latest FarmVille Chicken Coop glitch via official Zynga Forum.
Discussion of glitches such as the Chicken Coop is prohibited on Zynga forums and your posts will be removed.
Says Zynga Forum moderator,
“Due to the recent game glitch which is causing many duplicates, *please do not send us information regarding those who have multiple coops* (as suggested below). Thanks for your understanding and our apologies for any confusion/frustration this may cause.The Zynga Rules Of Conduct prohibit discussion of cheats/hacks/glitches.
Before you post your comments please read the following:
FarmVille’s current regulations allows the placement of ONE Chicken Coop per farm.
Please do not make any references to any neighbors or players who’s farms, for one reason or another, do not comply with that stated regulation.
Please do not ask other forum members how deviate from the stated regulation.
Please do not provide pictures, links to outside websites or sources, blogs, instructions, etc… that show other forum members how to circumvent the stated regulation.
Discussing an exploit of any game glitch/bug is the same as discussing a cheat. Do not post this information on Zynga’s forums.
If you have evidence of someone cheating, The forum moderators will be happy to forward the user’s information to the developers for you. The person’s Facebook User ID and Facebook first and last names are needed. To find the Facebook User ID, go to his Facebook profile page and run your mouse pointer over his profile picture. The address at the bottom of your screen will end in id=xxxxxxxxx. It may also be on the top bar of your screen. This information must not be posted in the forums and information reported will be considered as if it were reported anonymously. It should be sent to a moderator via Private Message.

Not sure how a glitch is considered “cheating”. So for those who have acquired additional coops because of this glitch are they expected to delete them?

In holland we got a name for that ‘NSB-er’ ( the NSB was a organisation that during WOII worked with the germans and the solded out many jews that where in hidding)
A normal farmer would’nt do that i think. I would understand it if you could make real money with it. But come one it’s just a silly farming game and someone dicoverded a glitch in the game. I’ts a glitch that they put in there we can’t do anything about that!!
We would be stupid not to use it. And what is the problem we don’t get any extra eggs from them (atleast i just got 1 egg out of my 3 coops) it’s just easier to collect the chicks.
I say: BOOOOOOOO to zynga for telling people how they can report ‘cheaters’!!!

I had 2 chicken coops, but I deleted one. I don’t want to play games with zynga, at least not ‘who is right and who is wrong’ games, especially when 1 chicken coop had all white chickens, and the other one had brown, black and gold.
I just didn’t want to risk that. Who knows, maybe zynga won’t delete extra chicken coops, but better safe then sorry, at least for me

I don’t see how this is cheating, if Zynga doesn’t want multiple coops, then they should block it in the code of the game. That’s all, no need to alienate users.

I never had multiple coops. My dad did, and he deleted the extra one that appeared due to THEIR glitch.
Anyway, the forum itself is a representation of the attitude that annoys me – and so I stopped going there. The silence, the taboos, the censorship…it all reminds me of Orwell’s Animal Farm featuring the Big Brother. Jeez, it’s a GAME. They should really, really relax. They will still be making money anyway.

I think the saddest thing in that entire post is the fact that they actually suggested users narc on one another. What kind of crap is that? Even worse, I saw more than a handful of wannabe do-gooder lemmings responding to questions from new users regarding the “corner coop glitch” with “delete all of the extra coupes you get and go back to playing the game the way it was meant to be played according to Zynga”. Seriously, who does that?
On a side note, the official Zynga forums are a joke. I’m not gonna deny that I can be obnoxious and asinine at times, but despite all of my crude jokes and my numerous “KTHXBAI” LOLcats and jpgs, I get the ban hammer because I posted a single picture of an unreleased item inquiring where it came from. Stupid.

I don’t understand. Is Zynga saying that, because of a programming error that happens to benefit some players, those players that did nothing wrong risk being banned? After all, Zynga’s Rules of Conduct state that players that cheat can be banned, and Zynga views the glitch as a form of cheating.
I honestly don’t know which is worse: the fact that Zynga can ban players for a mistake in the programming, or the fact that Zynga actively encourages other players to rat on their friends that have experienced this glitch.

… Yes it is a game… and there are rules! If you don’t like your chickens…sell them!
One coop is fine & fun with a few loose chooks running around outside to add to the aesthetics. Instead of collecting 100s of chooks…use your imagination and build a prosperous and interesting farm. We have been told that the coops will soon be able to house more chooks… be patient… hey… all the players that have been playing for a long time are delighted to have a coop!
Eventually we may possibly obtain stables for the horses, stys for the pigs, a real pond for the ducks & swans (I’m using blue hay bales at the moment) …. it’s a game… if you received everything at once, what would you have to look forward to?

When the elephants arrived, some people complained… but I found them a wonderful addition (reduced from 12 to 4 now) …. they were part of my carnival theme… and are now part of a show (elephants, birds & peguins)

Their not asking us to out our friends just those who know about the glich and is spreading the word for others to get it. It violates their rules and causes people to enjoy the game in a way that was not intended. We all agreed before starting the game to abide by their rules.

I can log in for only a few seconds and then my browser doesn’t respond. But a least the few seconds is enough to give me my fuel. I have no extra nothing and no benefits from any glitch. I don’t know what the problem is but I can’t get to my crops.

I received 3 extra garden sheds quite accidently. The extra 3 are useless only able tomove and sell. I then received one extra chicken coop when extending. I did nothing dishonest in way of hacks or cheats so I am going to keep them regardless of what the Zynga rules are. If they ban me so be it. I will find something else to do with my time.

What Zynga saying… cheating is not allowed. If you know anyone cheating, then report to zynga. If you have experienced any glitch, just live with that. Do not discuss about the glitch anywhere, even in forums. Do not ask zynga that Mr.X has 3 coops from glitch, so I too need 3 coops. If you discuss about the glitch, it is equal to discussing about a cheat.
Regulation is to have one coops in a farm. But glitch/bug is their mistake and cheating is different from glitch/bug.
This is very clear from my perspective. Need not delete the extra coop. Does anyone differ?

I live in the US. This prohibition is a violation of my First Amendment rights. Zynga cannót tell me what I can and cannot say about FV under any circumstances. They don’t like it, tough. Any judge in the US will be glad to throw the book at them for violating the FA, and I’d be glad to take them to court if they so much as look at my farm with intent to play some stupid power trip stunt.

I don’t think Zynga is talking about a farmer who receives one or two extra chicken coops by mistake. I went through my neighbors farms on Monday and 54 of them had 15 to 47 chicken coops. That is not a glitch, that is intentional greed, to accumulate so many coops. I have deleted those neighbors from my list. I was receiving so many eggs on my home page and Farmville reward page that my regular friends and neighbors were not coming through. If I was able to open one of the hundreds of eggs coming through, more often than not, the item in the egg did not make it to my gift box. Since getting rid of the many greedy ones, my regulars are now back on my home page and Farmville reward page. Also, thanks to the chicken coops now being fertilized I am able to put out eggs while working on others farms, plus I get an egg once in a while and it goes to my gift box. Thank you Farmville for that new feature. One problem I do have is the one with the “Thank you for the gift” gift. When I receive that gift it does not go to my gift box after I accept it. My page just goes to my farm. They are aware of that problem, I noticed it mentioned on their list. I love to play Farmville, my friends and neighbors, but don’t like the abuse so many are making of the chicken coops. Hope it all comes out in the end and our games get better. I ended up with four chicken coops and i need to know if i am suppose to delete them, i did nothing wrong–they just showed up. i thought it was because i had nearly 65 chickens at that time and i really did need more. However, i did not do anything to cause this incident. I am new on facebook and farmville, which i enjoy a lot but i am not a cheater. Please let me know what you want me to do–empty and delete?

You know what really needs to happen is for all of us to boycott the game for a week. Never mind all these lame scams about get this if you join. Everyone playing participating in National Boycott Farmville Week.
The Ladies on Facebook got news media attention with the posting of the “Bra I’m wearing for Breast Cancer”.
Maybe if enough of us Boycotted their games they would stop adding pop ups to cause the game to hang up when loading!
How does the week of February 8th thru the 14th strike everyone?
Perhaps some of the members would post this to their wall and invite others to do the same. Maybe so member could turn this into an application, so other could become a fan of it. Zynga’s behavior has become brutish.
I have former neighbors that have deleted their Facebook account. that still have their blank farm on my neighbors page. I complained to Zynga’s technical support, they replied with a tersely worded statement that indicated they were aware of the problem. A week later I get an email asking if the patch applied had remove them. Three days later they disappeared, three days after that they reappeared, where they remain today.
It takes 30 minutes to an hour to load my farm some nights, due to the game hanging loading their pop ups. Then at least 3 times a week, I get the saving your farm hang. You get afraid to hit the thank you for fertilizing pop up because the send message block hangs several times a week, when it try’s to load at the same time some bonus pop up is.
These morons have more pop ups than a scam redirect website!
It is time to turn up the heat on these bozo’s a notch!

WOW! I can not discern which are children and which are adults on this forum. One thing I can make out clearly is which ones are from my homeland – America. Yes, it is all about being fair – life in general. Its just not fair. Though this isn’t life, a mere game, you people need to get over your selves and worry about whats on your dinner plate tonight and not what they are being fed at the white house. Play the game, and if something should happen which was not of your conscious efforts – then don’t worry about it. And stop moaning and crying about those who cheat; that is their way of life (perhaps they work on Wall Street or are a politician) – just play the game and worry about your self – have fun and stop being envious your self of what others have – this makes you no better than them! Grow up a little… And learn that games are meant to serve the purpose of self gratification – not for competition and coveting! Have some fun – learn to have fun.

Hello. Something VERY weird and disturbing happened to me and maybe someone could explain it to me.
I had 2 extra chicken coops from the glitch, so 1 was filled with gold chickens; another with mainly black and some gold; and the last one empty, so I could move chickens from one coop to another. (Oh, by the way, I see farms with more than 10 chicken coops but I stood with 3).
Well, the “funny” thing is that today I discovered that… only ONE of the coops was filled with chickens… Yes, all the 20 gold ones are no where to be found! Empty coop! I only remained with the mainly blacks and some goldies; the other empty remained empty; and the white and brown chickens outside are as they were.
WHAT THE HELL HAPENNED?? Is this the “punishment”? Did Zynga started to make things “right”?? why not delete the coops? To delete the chickens (the gold ones, huh?!) and leave the coop? What am I suppose to do? To fill it up again and be chickenless the next day? I can’t even contact Zynga even if it’s an informatic error because they’ll only say: glad that happen!
Geez, I worked my ass out to get all those chickens, and I’m no chicken lover, I just want a few chickens (or other animals) to fill a coop and share the eggs, is that so wrong?? I went to other farms and still see al those coops filled (and believe me, it’s all gold chickens). I really don’t know what to say… I’ll fill it up one more time and if this happens again, well, f**k you Zynga. I see lots of people with good reason to be deleted and mine was the chosen one… I rest my case.

Ohhh, I found out another extraordinay thing today: empty dairy farm! And the best part: the 20 cows were replaced by a chicken! Yes, I have a chicken in a dairy farm and a screen shot to prove it. Unfortunately it’s a white chicken (no sign of the goldies, still). That made up my mind and I sent a ticket to Zynga. This cannot be normal! Let’s just hope for the best…

Well, I got an answer alright. Nothing about the missing chickens or cows, or even the chicken inside the dairy farm. Was more of a warning about the “more than one coop” thing and the possible actions taken against one’s account. I have 3 because of the glitch and I’m the shooting target?? And they say: I hope your question was answered… I almost laugh, really! I’m tempted to replied them with a single question ” What about the chicken inside the dairy farm?” but they’re not worth it.
I decided to leave the only Zynga’s games I was in: Farmville and Fishville. Already removed Fishville application.
And you know what? I feel that I regain my life back.

The thing is It’s a game, and as there are no prizes or financial reward does it matter how anyone plays it?
I think of monopoly and how many of us play by family rules, Things like putting the money from fines etc in the middle and whoever lands on free parking gets to take the Kitty!

I had multiple coops, 8 to be exact because of a glitch, all I did was move my original coop and it multiplied into 8 when they started to make it so users could feed your chickens. This morning I got on and Zynga sent me some bs message, but I wasn’t cheating!!! All I did was move my coop and so they deleted them and stuck all the chickens in my gifts so now I don’t have room for them and have to sell a good majority of them. I never used any cheats. Now I can’t accept any more gifts til I take care of the chickens.
