This will be so cool! But I got a feeling that is going to be really hard to get all items…
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 7:15 pm
How do we know when we find the items? Is there a knack to getting certain items?
A ladybug and a red feather showed up on my list, but I’ve no idea how I came across them!
Any ideas?
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 7:26 pm
Got a Spigot, Pocketwatch in this category
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 7:45 pm
Where do we get these items from …. or How ? … I see a dragon fly in the giftable items, what about others …
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 7:48 pm
What do you do with them? Sit them somewhere on the farm?
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 8:04 pm
no… collect them, look under ribbons… you can see a new collectable tab… collect all in the set and get a prize/gift this is wat the site says
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 8:34 pm
were did you findall that
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 9:21 pm
I just got the dragonfly as a collection from the gift how do u get the rest. It says something about plowing? Any ideas?
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 9:27 pm
i got that :
Salt Shaker
Spigot
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 10:10 pm
I know now when you plow harvest or seed for a while after that you got to send gifts to neighbors u get to send differnet collectibles randomly I just got a dragon fly and a needlepoint
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 11:29 pm
Actually, the dragonfly and needlepoint were on the free gifts page. No plowing or harvesting needed.
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 11:45 pm
I got a thimble but did not receive notification of it, just happened to see it in my collectibles box while i was accepting gifts. Was not given a prompt to publish and share it either.
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 3:25 am
i read somewhere else that once you have a complete set of collectibles that you can then sell for coin, xp or share with friends. But would be nice for Zynga, to put out some details like in a help file!
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 4:22 am
It doesn’t announce when you find some collectable..
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 5:23 am
yeah it dusnt..i got 2 dragon flies as gift thn i collected my coop and got hen feather…
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 8:14 am
Hey…I think during plowing..how many coins u’ll get that will indicate the new collection number..like I got 3 coins during plowing and after that I found 3 new collection: Salt shaker, Spigot, and Trowel…thats sounds great!!…but I heard that..these coins help to get farm cash…
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 8:24 am
Is there any reason to keep duplicates of collectibles or should you just sell them?
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 9:42 am
If we already have 10 of one thing what do we do with the extra. And how do we fill in the other colletables? I don’t have any feathers yet.
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 9:59 am
u may have up to ten of each item at any given time.. sets can be “traded” for 250xp, OR 5000coins, OR 5 fuel… it appears that at the moment, farmville does not notify u if u have found a collection item.. there will soon be a popup that tells u when u have found a collection item, and you will then be able to post on your wall so 5 friends can also get a random item from that collection.. i have only seen one such post as of yet.. I was just farming a few minutes ago and was prompted to play mafia wars! it said something about a hot rod tractor. gonna check it out
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 12:38 pm
wow this is well easy. ive got everythin exept for the cowbell
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 1:01 pm
Does this work if you use the tractor etc or do you have to sit clicking each plot of land? I didnt seem to get any when I used my vehicles but when I clicked individuallly I got 2 items.
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 2:08 pm
Pourriez vous donner des explications , pour le collector! combien il en faut maximum , etc etc !! merci !
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 2:45 pm
Does it tell you when you find them? I randomly have a thimble. I think it helps to plow each plot separately
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 4:43 pm
So far every time I’ve gotten a collectible I’ve been notified. i got 3 ladybugs by fertilizing other ppls farms. But thats it, finding random things is hard for me

Keion, thank you so much for letting us know how the collectibles are obtained! So, now tough luck for whoever sold all his turkeys or ducks off hahaha… It is a pity that when we have a whole collection it is exchanged for XP or fuel or coins – I would much more prefer it to be exchanged for some pretty thing we can put on the farm to boast… zynga is being very very stupid again…
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 9:46 pm
I only have two turkeys because I only wanted a family of three. Blast it.
Posted on January 17th, 2010 at 5:54 am
my husband just found a thimble on his farm and got to publish it to share with his neighbours(well me) dont know how many can claim it we will be chasing them like the eggs until we realise we get rubbish reward for it

Posted on January 17th, 2010 at 9:35 am
@ Karan…I have no clue what to do to get these things..I’m at level 41…I’ve harvested, plowed, and seeded my fields..I’ve fertilized neighbor’s fields, I’ve sent gifts…nothing….I give up…just hoping they don’t make this B.S. a requirement to move to the 24 by 24 when they release it…
Posted on January 17th, 2010 at 9:53 am
I think its just patience. Have plowed my fields, planted, harvested, visted friends farms and fertlizied everything I could etc. So far a pocketwatch randomly appeared in my collection but I don’t know what from.
Today while plowing I got 3 coins appearing on my plots but no collectibles appeared in my collections so I’m not sure that means anything cocrete or if my farmville is just being funky.
If I find complete sets I like being able to trade them in it give those of us that don’t wnat to spent real $ a way to work on getting the new ribbons. (like they of Mystery, and the seeder/plow ribbon which obviously require fuel.). Not sure I’ll have the patience to keep up with it to even end up with a full set.
I have my farm up to level 51 so Its kind of getting a bit monotonous and repetitive for me. My weird obsession with keeping my farm at a level on par with my friends keeps me going back.
Posted on January 17th, 2010 at 11:36 am
Sometimes farmville don’t show that you got one of this things.
you have to leave farmville and start up new, then you can see if you got something
farmville is sometimes a little bit funky!! *gg*
Posted on January 17th, 2010 at 11:46 am
I ve read or heard that uncommon and rare collections can be published and 5 of our friends can collect them. I have got 4 of the uncommon items of 4 collections. I ve never got a pop or means of publishing it… How do we publish them. ?
Posted on January 18th, 2010 at 12:54 am
@ Babygirlga ..i think it is just taking a lot of tym ..!
coz after harvesting all my trees got 2 catterpillerz..however i did not get any notification i just visited my collections and they were there..! best of luck for u ..!
Posted on January 19th, 2010 at 11:20 am
where can u get those collecty things lol?
Posted on January 20th, 2010 at 6:03 pm
Actually, I just got the bug collection. I got 250 xp, coins AND 5 refills of fuel.
Posted on January 26th, 2010 at 3:57 pm
Dear Farmville,
I have both black and white sheep. I have NEVER gotten twine from my farm. I have cows of every color both in and out of my dairy farms. I have NEVER gotten a cow bell. I have ducks, turkeys (both wild and regular), and chickens of every color. I have NEVER gotten one single feather from my farm. Are you SURE that the programers have put these codes where they are supposed to be?
Posted on January 27th, 2010 at 4:06 pm
Ok guys, all you have to do is click on the ribbons tab, and then click the collectibles, it looks like butterflies or something. Then it pulls up a list of items to collect. Hold your mouse over each item and it will give you a hint as to where you find each item. A few can be gifted, if they are in your giftbox, just use them and it will automatically be added to your collectibles. It does show you when you find a collectible, it’s a little pop up down by the fuel that tells you what you have found. Just plow your fields, harvest your trees and animals, and be patient, you’ll eventually find things. Things can also be found on your friend’s pages. It’s similar to getting an egg or adopting an animal. I’d keep your extra collections just so you can continuously cash them in, and not get stuck waiting on a common item. Sometimes you’ll find a bunch of items, like thimbles, and THEN you can post it, but most often, you’ll find single items that only you get to keep and you can’t share. I hope this cleared up a lot of confusion for you all. Good luck collecting.

Ive got every item in the country kitch collection apart from the cowbell. ive got a neighbor whose account i know, and he has 100 and something cows but it is still very hard to obtain. can anyone tell me how long it takes/ how many cows you need to harvest to get the cowbell? ty
Posted on January 30th, 2010 at 8:21 pm
Are we better off keeping our duplicate collectables in our gift box and just selling them, or using them and having them go to our collections as duplicates. I see in the corner of each collectable it shows haw many you have. Will you get b bigger prize if you have extra of single collectables?
Posted on January 30th, 2010 at 10:32 pm
do we get cowbells from harvestin dairy farms? i have harvested my dairy farms (2) since this crap started and have gotten no cowbells
Posted on February 3rd, 2010 at 12:09 pm
Has anybody gotten the cowbell or the twine. I just need those two and I seem to not be able to get them. I don’t think they are available yet. I need more cowbell.
Posted on February 3rd, 2010 at 12:43 pm
@Neemo
they are all available. it’s just that the rare items are really rare – that is the point, is it not? If you can’t get them on your own farm by collecting from the sheep and cows, go to the news feed and try to get some of your neighbor’s collectibles.
Posted on February 3rd, 2010 at 1:31 pm
this cowbell thing does not make sense….
I have 5 dairy farms and cows outside and have been harvesting them everyday since this collection has started. I have neighbor that only has 2 dairy farms and another that only has 3 dairy farms w/ a few cows outside. They both have received a cowbell to post. I just don’t get it when I have double the amount. Same with the Twine???
I’m thinking that for some reason I’m and others are just being skipped over, or there is a glitch on farmville end.
Posted on February 3rd, 2010 at 9:39 pm
i all ready finish collecting the gadening tools collection….
Posted on February 8th, 2010 at 12:36 pm
i need only a cow bell
Posted on February 18th, 2010 at 9:06 pm
This collectible thing is beyond annoying. I have only been able to complete the bug collection. Every other collection I need at least one last item to complete. I have never seen cowbell and I harvest every day and twine I’m thinking is not in the cards for me. I think only certain people can get certain things. **** u farmville jk.
Posted on February 21st, 2010 at 6:33 pm
I have been playing for months, no cowbell and now I have reached the limits of the others in the collections. COWBELL S****
you should be able to trade in for this item.
Posted on February 25th, 2010 at 11:22 pm
I am becoming obsessed with collecting the cowbell and shears. I have 3 dairy barns and about 30 or so cows outside the barns. I have YET to find a dad blasted cowbell!!! It’s really starting to piss me off. Why?? I have neighbors who are completing 5-6 (or more) collections PER DAY. Now what is wrong with this picture?! All my collections are at 5/6. I have max no. on many items with a bunch of them sitting in my gift box that I cannot use because those items are full. I collected them from news feed. If I could just get the cowbell and the shears, that would make me so happy. I am starting to think that my FV account has blocked cowbells, lol.
Posted on February 25th, 2010 at 11:33 pm
I finally got the cowbell and I posted it on my home page to share . When I went to my collectibles it wasn’t there. Does anyone know why this disappeared? It’s so hard to get!
Posted on February 26th, 2010 at 5:47 am
ive got each collection traded for xp point and fuel and cash atleast once. its not that hard just run your farm like normal and help other peoples farm and the next time you look you’ll be able to swap you collections for something more valuable then start again
Posted on February 27th, 2010 at 9:26 pm
I do not understand why I am unable to get a dang cowbell. I do feel a little better knowing that I am not the only one that is not able to get the cowbell. I also have 3 dairy farms and about 40 cows outside of the barn and NOTHING. Not one single one since the collections have started. I think we need to write to Zynga and ask them what the heck?!?!?!
Posted on March 1st, 2010 at 5:20 am
its too hard to get a cow bell!!!
Posted on March 1st, 2010 at 8:37 am
Don’t feel bad. I can never complete the feather collection as I never got a TURKEY. This collections thing is completely stupid…
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 3:05 am
I havnt recived 1 cow bell since the collections started, i collect from cows as much as i do anything for any other collectable but nothing. The thing that gets me still is i have neighbors that complete 40 collections a day and post all those collectables but every time i get one of there posts it is something i already have 10 of. And when i ask them how they get so many collections completed so offten, they just reply with “im just lucky i guess” or some other excuss. i know its not the truth because you dont just “find” 10 cowbells while milking cows if you get what im saying.
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 3:04 pm
I guess I won’t be completing my feather collection, because I refuse to harvest my ducks. Down collection is painful for the ducks (as opposed to just finding feathers around). I’m not stealing turtle eggs, either …
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 9:47 pm
Yeah because we all know how much pulling out the down feathers hurts the computer. Man that’s just inhumane.
Posted on March 9th, 2010 at 10:12 am
Like Farmer Bob, I have never received a cow bell & neither have any of my 3 mates and since the collections began, we have harvested literally thousands of cows. I’ve completed all the other collections, but just can’t find the cow bell. Anyone know what we’re doing wrong. We’ve got cow sheds and single cows, don’t know what to try next.
Posted on March 13th, 2010 at 9:34 am
I have three full dairy farms, one of each kind of cow outside the dairy farms, and over 150 calves of various colors which I have harvested every day since January 15th and not one cowbell. I think there is a glitch.
Posted on March 21st, 2010 at 5:04 pm
More than 60 collections traded … never completed any country kitsch colection because never got any cowbell … have 5 full dairy farms and more than 30 cows outside … regular, brown, pink, alien and referee cows harvested daily … something is buggy!
Posted on March 25th, 2010 at 5:29 pm
At one point I had all of my cows out of the dairyfarms, and after a looong while I finally harvested a cowbell! My friends have too, and that is the only other way I have been able to get another one (because they shared their “rare” find.) I have since put my cows back in their farms, and have yet to find another cow bell. Im going to remove them again to see what happens…I’ll keep you posted.
Posted on April 1st, 2010 at 8:55 pm
I too have yet to find a cowbell
Posted on April 9th, 2010 at 4:41 pm
I have 5 dairy’s and never get cowbells. After reading the earlier post about removing the cows I got the idea that maybe the Bulls inside the dairy ruin getting the cowbell because of the calves??? I’m going to give it the old college try and see what happens.
Posted on April 15th, 2010 at 4:07 am
Heyy guys after reading all of the posts which took a while,
The best way to get a cow bell is
You must play farmville on farmville.com u need to constantly keep watchin the game feed for posts by your friends( If u have more friends the better chance you have) when one of your friends complete the country collection u need to click on get a collectible. If you are the first person to clik on it, you will recieve the cowbell,
Simple xxx
