FarmVille has added a new tree as a giftable only item.
FarmVille Walnut Tree
The Walnut Tree is a giftable item meaning the only way to get one is to receive it as a gift from one of your FarmVille neighbors.
The Walnut Tree has replaced the Grapefruit Tree meaning the Grapfruit Tree has become a retired item for now.

The first box opened is a good one containing 1 FV dollar, 1 fuel refill or 20 XP.
The rest are prizes like Horse, Chicken, Olive Tree, Duck Topiary, Stone Mailbox, Buffalo Topiary, 1/5 Fuel, Date Tree Banana Tree, Duck Topiary, Passion Fruit, Elephant Topiary…

Oddly enough these do NOT seem to count towards the mystery box ribbon. WTF? I ended up with 20xp, a banana tree and a horse. In other words, doodoo presents. I actually want 5 or 6 walnut trees but everybody seems hellbent on sending me mystery boxes.

Guess what i had removed all the grapefruit and other trees except the maple, plum cherry and the new ones lol
now i just dont have enough space for another new one, small thing make farm look mesy.but i hope we get more than 1 fv cash in the mystery gifts.

Nobody’s showing Stats for the Walnut just yet (even FarmWiki). I’m guessing it will be 3 Days or more, for not so good Coinage (50 or 60 something, although Far better than Cherry or Apple), since Starfruit Tree was last Good Coinage one, and Durian was before that (which is not so good @ 16.3 coins per day). So I’m thinking they put them out like Good, Not Good, Good, Not Good, etc…. Forget-Me-Nots are the 1st 18 Hour plant, hopefully there will be a Non-Limited Time 18 Hour Plant coming soon too.

The Grapefruit tree will be available in the market place later this year. Farmville will be having a “Tropical” Theme later in the year and will re-introduce the Grapefruit tree and also include some new Trees including Mango Tree, Coconut Tree and Palm Tree.

Ahem, how about the long-gone peach trees…
I’m surprised Zynga switched over to nuts as the last few trees introduced are tropical. I was expecting others such as jackfruit, pomelo, and rambutan before the nuts started rolling out.
I hope they retire the limes and passionfruit soon, they’re a bother to work with.

Bring on the squirrels, I actually was telling somebody last week, we need Walnut trees, and squirrels would be the only proper way to harvest them. Special nuts, special gifts. What do you think?

may i suggest some mango trees…palm trees…gauva tress…chikoo trees…n some more flowers…..like ….carnations…water lillies…roses…n lots more….

Every time I gift a Date Tree it sends a walnut tree instead!! Anyone else having this problem?
