FarmVille Introduces Comment Box
FarmVille introduced a new updated Comment Box. The upgraded Comments feature gives us farmers a better way to communicate.
You can see all of your messages and track when your neighbors visit your farm.
For more details, read official word from Zynga Community Manager, Lexilicious:
“Comments Box:
Upon signing into FarmVille, you will notice a new icon in the upper right hand corner of the application. Clicking on this button will open the new Comment Box.The small purple dialogue bubble will notify you of new comments or social actions that have been made on your farm.
The new Comment Box allows your Neighbors to leave you comments. In addition to this, you can leave comments on your own wall that you and your Neighbors can see.
If you click the Icon when you are on your own farm, you will be able to view comments that your Neighbors have left for you. Comments will fill in the comments section in the order they were placed. Clicking on the “Visits” tab in your comment box will allow you to see who has visited your farm, fertilized your crops, fed your chickens and sent gifts sent to you in your absence.\From your Comments Menu you can also place a sign post. Simply type what you wish to post and check the “Place a signpost” box. Click the “post” button and you will be able to place a Sign Post.
If you click the comments icon when visiting a Neighbor’s Farm, you have the option to leave a comment, place a Sign Post or Post a comment to their Facebook profile.”

Why is there nothing about the new stupid comment box? DO NOT WANT! And there is no option to make it go away. I do not want that cluttering up my screen FV! I hate it!

This is extremelly usefull! I really wanted a way to know who fertilized my farm and fed my chickens, so I can do the same for them (instead of wasting my time doing this daily for 60+ neighbors, some of which never help).

Hate. It. It just makes me feel like my privacy has been invaded when I visit my friends farms. Now they know when I visited and exactly what I did. I much prefer the pop up saying that people dropped by and helped out/fertilized that most people didn’t pay much attention to.
I’m not one of those annoying people with WAY too many neighbors, so I don’t really care who exactly came by; I’m going to visit and fertilize their farms anyway. Now I just have an annoying box that clutters up my screen telling me people came by and making me feel invaded when I go to their farms.

@ lxvl: That pop up only said something like “x, y and 5 others fertilized your crops and fed your chickens”. I ALWAYS thanked my friends for doing that for me!
Secondly: if I’m annoying cause I have 60 neighbors, what do you think about ppl who have 200+ neighbors?

the comment box says 3 of my neighbours sent me gifts, but i don’t see any gift requests on my homepage. does this mean that i can only get them through my email? (i haven’t signed up for email notifications)

Hate the new comment box. I had signs posted in different areas…with quotes or a little message on them relating to the area they were placed. For example: I had a sheep next to my school and a sign that said: “It made the children laugh and play to see a lamb at school”…that sort of thing. This new feature makes my message signs indistinguishable from each other. I’ll have to remove them.

or is it that if you r not neighbors ur name n pic dont appear in the comment box except for a blank visited ur profile etc etc.. cuz that’s what happened to all the other comments in the comment box i saw….???

I hate this comment feature on FV… If you delete the sign, it deletes the comments. I thought it was to get rid of the signs!

ok. first it was that stupid petville visit thing, now farmville, i dont want people to know that ive visited them, this is reallyyyyy annoyinnnng, ive just visited my ex who is not my neighbour anymore and i was shocked to see this stupid visit thiiiiing on his farm, ohhhhhh my god, somebody help me please, how can i remove this shiit visit thing?

Really don’t like the comment box. If the icon were smaller perhaps it would be as intrusive but it’s HUGE!!

Lola i feel for you because the same thing happened to me!!!!! but you know what i think that he wont be able to tell that you visited since you are not neighbors anymore so ur name n pic wont appear at all cuz thats whats happened to evryones comment box ive visited..people who arent my neighbor dont appear in the box!..so hopefully this wud be the case!

i dont like this feature sometimes i like to visit neighbors farm but dont feel like fertilizing and feeding (since im already level 70 dont really care about XP) so i dont want them to get the wrong idea im doing it on purpose.

I think its as creepy as me seeing that the above poster posted their comment on March 13th 2010 at 7:45 pm….and im not even their FB/FV friend.
If you don’t want people to see you visited thier farm…there is a very simple answer:
DONT VISIT IT !
(I think “visits” has stopped working anyway)
