The Dragonfly Collectible has been replaced with a new one- the Needlepoint Collectible.
The Needlepoint Collectible item is a giftable only item that can only be received as a FarmVille gift by one of your FarmVille neighbors. It is part of the FarmVille Country Kitsch Collection set.

Is there any notification when you find an ungiftable collectable on your farm? I have a pruning saw… And I don’t remember finding it.

Poking around farmville source codes. Looks like upcoming achievements will be 1) Cracked – looks to be achievements related to hatching eggs 2) Seasoned Decorator 3) Gas Guzzler 4) Baled Out 5) Hoarder Also looks like Tuesday they are going to have collectible butterflies appear during harvesting trees.

This is one bug they have to work out on the collections. There is supposed to be a notice when you find an item so you can post it too. I expect they will have this fixed soon.

some collectibles are giftable. others are through harvesting, plowing, seeding, harvest plants and animals in your farm… also by fertilizing, helping and feeding your neighbor’s chickens
it takes a couple of tried to get the item 
how to be a fan? that’s easy. below the flash enabled game of farmville, you’ll see a button somewhat like “Be a Fan”

Somvaa… You are supposed to get the collectables when you harvest, plow and help your neighbors (I can’t remember exactly, you need to go back to the post when they first came out) It does not look like you are notified when you get them. Go to your ribbon icon and you will see the collectible icon. You will be able to see what you have “collected”. You can also gift one of them.
To become a fan of Farmville, go to the top of your farm, where you see “free gifts, Play, My Neighbors” etc. You will see “love farmville?” click that and it will take you to the place where you can become a fan.

Wow that was fast…..I did not even get a chance to send the dragonfly because I already sent gifts earlier and was at my limit. I wish it was every two days, that way way you can send your friends the new tree too.

I have not seen the dragonfly gift, however I sent gifts to my neighbours last evening, and this morning I saw the needlepoint thing only… Will the dragonfly come back? I hope so…

I wonder if there will be any benefit for having multiple collectibles? If we get 5 of something … can we eventually finish collections 5 times? I don’t have experience with collections in Mafia Wars … haven’t tried that game.

ok so far the collectables suck i’ve harvested trees, collected eggs, milk and done all animals, harvested/plowed/replanted 2x since they were released and haven’t found a single one

I’ve yet to find anything either. I’ve harvested my fields, animals and trees. Also, I’ve helped neighbors. What gives? On another note, did anyone else lose their XP from the “Crunchie Award”?

I haven’t found anything as well and I am level 45.
I have received 2 dragonflies and almost 10 needlepoints as gifts but i didn’t find anything while harvesting, plowing, seeding, collecting from chicken coop – animals – trees or during helping neighbours.

I agree they’re trying to turn it into mafia wars, so i imagine a trade function soon coz i’ve got 3 needlepoints.
official word from zynga says that you will receive a notification at the bottom of the screen when you discover a collectible. at the moment you only get one when you add the needlepoint from your giftbox, so i imagine they will change this soon.
i planted and harvested to lots of crops and got some shears and a ladybird! i dont think you get anything from animals or trees. hope this helps someone!

I am at level 43 and I have not gotten anything. I have fertizlized and cleaned over 40 farms and harvested my own as well as clicked on chicken coops and I havent’ received one thing. I got the dragonfly and needpoint because they were free gifts. Where are the items? Are we doing something wrong??? Please answer

I am at Level 42, and just took care of 864 plots (harvesting, plowing and seeding) and didn’t find ONE item! I also took care of about 100 trees and cared for some animals (mostly cats). I have two items, but they were gifted to me.
Is this collectable feature in a test run that only a few people can do? Because it’s quite obvious that some of us can’t find anything…and I doubt that the items are all rare (some are, but they are few).

For clarification on receiving collectibles – is this for harvesting/plowing/seeding when only using the vehicles?
Also I harvested about 150 trees & 150 animals and not a single collectible came from them.

I am level 42 and have the biggest farm possible right now and I have planted, harvested and plowed three times my whole farm-harvested over 200 trees and over 100 animals and NOTHING was found-this is not fair!!! I should have found at least one thing but nothing was found-very disappointed

I am on level 39. I have gotten a trowel and a caterpillar. I did not notice that I got them until I looked in my collection. The notification bar shows up above your neighbors at the bottom of your farm. I must have been busy working on my farm and did not see it pop up. I also have the giftable items.

Which items wet get might have something to do with our levels, as I am on level 38 and like Loria(who is level 39) I have gotten the caterpillar and the trowel. Whereas the two commenters who are in the 40s levels haven’t received anything, so I’m wondering if it might get more difficult to find the items when you’ve leveled that high.

Hi! Had the same problem that someone else was having. I didnt get any collectibles. I planted and seeded and collect animals and trees, but nothing. Then i logged out from farmville and when i later logged in again i had trowel and ladybug !! Theres some kind of bug so it takes time to get them or something. And im 41 level farmer. So dont be disappointed maybe you get some collectibles after all!!!

On top of the giftable ones, I today found that I had a trowel, a centipede (rare that is supposed to be adoptable on the walls when found for 5 others but nothing popped up to notify me as I have auto-post turned off) & a hen’s feather. Had no notification at bottom of screen either for any of the found ones, & I am level 41 (only a few more points to 42).

Do we need to harvest/plow manually to get the collectibles? I’ve been using my tractor to plow for the ribbon, and most of my cows and chickens are in coops and dairy farms, respectively. Has anyone gotten a collectible from the buildings or is it individual animals?

I’ve got 3 plus the 2 giftable
About the 3 others, I don’t know when I got them, but one, when plowing my farm.
I guess they’re still working on this so soon we be able to know when we get new ones.
And I’m not sure if having more than one of the same would do any difference but I won’t sell them, just keep them there, we’ll see what happens

what i do is just harvest,plow,plant and feed chicken..
not sure about you guy got nothing..

2 trovel, 1 pocketwatch, 2 salt shaker, 2 thimble, 1 ladybug, 1 beetle and 1 centipede

These buildings will be available in the FarmVille Market and appear to be permanent features. If you remember, Zynga’s official podcast on 01.11.10 hinted that these buildings will soon be upgraded to include new features making them buildings with purpose.

I randomly got a cultivator, don’t know when or for which action, it just showed up in my collectibles last night. I have been plowing, harvesting, and fertilizing others all day today, and nothing else. I guess it is truly “random”. I am level 38, btw. I was helping a friend out with his farm this morning, level 30, and he reandomly got a “pocketwatch”, but again, it was not clear what actioin made it show up in the box…… Also, can someone explain how the “extra fetilizer” works, as I think I lost my chance at using it today when I got it.

the new collectibles are cool and the giftable items too, but they took away the giftable fuel, which i think is terrible, especially with the ribbons for plower and seeder!

one of the post stated they had auto post so didnt see it…how do you do auto post …can anyone help me with this …it could save some time…i spend way too much time on fv and only got 3 things that were not gifted to me…and does anyone know why the limit on feeding chickens are less then fertilizing crops…the limits are driving me CRAZY….i can only fertilize half my neighbors each day….not fair fv

This week’s podcast gives a lot of info on collectibles. You can keep up to 10 of each item and once you have a full collection you can trade it for 250XP.
I also got some items this morning (cultivator, thimble) but didn’t see any notice or a “share” banner.

Rosa – I think the share banner is only if you get an uncommon item, maybe rare. I was fertilizing crops and got two beetles, both times it asked me if I wanted to share with my friends. I also got a thimble from a friend.

I’ve managed to find quite a few items from visiting friends and fertilizing, also plowing my own farm and im sure that as I have fertilised it notifies you that you have a collectable by showing orange stars instead of yellow- I have checked my collectables twice after this has happened and unless its my eyes going ( im only 28) im sure this is the case

So like others I was frustrated that I hadn’t found anything, but apparently I had found 3 different things! I dont know how I found it. Farmville gave me no popout saying I found anything, but when I checked my collection it was there.

i have the dragonfly, needlepoint, 2 caterpillars, and the shears, i don’t remember getting the shears at all, but the caterpillar i got right after harvesting a cherry tree and i recieved a pop up at the bottom of the screen saying i found one..

It’s strange.
Since the release, I had 4 times a full harvest-plow-seed of my farm and I just got a Stopwatch. But didn’t understaind how i got that.
Then today i had harvested all my peas and sunflower (22×22 with just 37 slots used for other things), plowed, putted Bluebarry, harvested around 12 turkeyes, some ducks, 2 cats, 7 lambs, a lot of trees. AND NOTHING. I checked before, in meanwhile and after. NOTHING.
Relogged to get a free gift from a neighbour and now i have brand new:
1 Trowel (common)
1 Pruning Star (UNCOMMON)
1 Banded Quill (UNCOMMON)
That’s strange, and no, i don’t got any uncommon item from any friend-share message. I’ve tryed but nothing at all BEFORE to harvest my farm, so I don’t know how to think about, excepet that I really think there are many bugs about notification system and sharing system.

I also don’t understand the collectibles. I have apparently completed an entire set and have a couple of the uncommon and rare items, but never had the opportunity to post them. How do I do this? Is it a glitch or am I doing something wrong?? Help please….
