   This is hands down the best thing that Farmville has ever done. A gold chicken? Mystery box? Lambs? Gray tabby? Wowza the hits keep coming.

   Make sure you get one gift out so you have 99 gifts and put a new one in to get back to 100. This way you can share a gift with your friends each additional gift you have over 100.

   This sucks, all the multiples of animals, ornaments, Christmas things that will be useless in a few days. On top of it, the fuel refills I’ve gotten have taken up half my gift box already and I’m only halfway done opening my tree! WTF?

   FarmVille needs to expand how much the Gift Box holds to account for this.

   UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

   I am loving this. I am getting so much! I think total I will have about 130 presents. Have already gotten 10 fuel refills x 5.

   I did ONE golden gift. I got a 10 fuel refill, which i was happy about, but then I opened one of my regular red ones and got 10 fuel refills, so the golden one wasn’t so great for me.

   already have 5 golden chickens from this.

   @FlaHurricaneFarmer, that’s why you have till January 7, space it out if you’re gift box is overflowing. I love the presents they’re great.

    Yeah!! 56 Fuel refills.. 7 golden chicken and other gifts..the gifts I wanted most though were the fuel and the golden chicken. I however wasted 5FV and five presents trading up to a gold present which turned out to be a brown chicken!

    1 Brown Chicken, 1 Black Chicken, 4 Golden Chickens, 6 Alien Cows, 1 Brown Cow, 1 Calf, 3 Clumsy Reindeer, 1 Baby Turkey, 4 Lambs, 5 Grey Tabbies, 3 Black Sheep, 1 mystery box (Got a Santa Sleigh), 5 Golden Nutcrackers, 4 Lighted presents, 3 Coco Bears, 4 Giant Lolly Pop II,1 New Year’s Post, a total of 109 fuel refills, and about 10 each of the Gold and Silver Ornaments! All this from opening 100(+) presents. Merry Christmas!

    I was quite dissapointed, hearing that most folks received mystery boxes with cool gifts. I only got white chickes, some 1 fuel refills, tons of the ugly xmas ornaments, gold soldiers and reindeers and black cats. Zynga should really be more fair to each player, otherwise the game is getting boring…
    Would be more fun to get the expansion or some stables for horses, etc.

    Yeah, as of late it seems like the gifts I got at the start have radically decreased in chances to get, I’m not getting fuel refills anymore which were very handy to have instead of the countless amounts of decorations I’m having to sell. With that no more mystery boxes have come my way although to be fair I did get enough the first time with 8 of them getting 2 Santa Workshop, 2 Gingerbread houses, 1 Gold Sleigh, 1 Gold Fountain, 1 Dancing Snow Lady, and 1 Holiday Gate
    But I really would prefer fuel at this rate theres only so many lollipops you can open before it gets to you.

    To @FlaHurricaneFarmer – you can accept the fuel and they are stored in you fuel gauge in the lower left. Under the fuel can there will be a blue box with the number of fuel refills you have. You don’t have to leave them in your gift box making room for other things. Merry Christmas!!

    Same here, I haven’t seen a gold or black chicken, alien cow, mystery boxes, or fuel since yesterday morning. I wonder what the algorithm is, maybe after you open 100 gifts these gifts no longer are given.

    Merry Christmas…

    First they named Christmas tree as holiday tree (I do not celebrate Christmas. That does not matter. One should call spade a spade) and now these gifts we get today. Seems Zynga does not like Christmas.

    Yesterday I got cool stuffs – new year box, gingerbread house, lot of fuel refills, mystery boxes, gold chickens, black chicken, lambs, grey tabby, in addition to cows, gold nutcracker, gold soldier, lighted box, ornamehts, deers etc. Left few gifts to open today and refilled the tree.

    Now I opened around 40 gifts and all were cows, bears, nutcrackers, ornaments, deers, lighted box, deers, black cats etc. Thinking whether to open the remaining gifts today or just refill the tree and open gifts tomorrow.
    I should have opened all the gifts yesterday. Thought Christmas day would be better to open remaining gifts.

    Is there any trick to get mystery boxes?

    Wow, the diversity of gifts received is mind blowing!!!! What is worse, is reading all these comments and hearing of some people getting 4-6 mystery boxes …. wtf!?!? I stupidly got a gold one (trade plus fv $) and got a stinking brown chicken! I am very greatful for anything they are willing to give us …. but I wish I understood the randomness, or maybe it isn’t so random!! Ive bought a lot of FV $ in the past and haven’t received one option to get a discount (within the next 10 minutes) that I’ve heard of. I’ve got 20 black and gold chickens in my coop, which has spit out 1 gold egg and 1 brown egg in the last MONTH! HELP??? Im thinking seriously of deleting this stupid app!

    I think i know what happened…..

    the gifts from exactly dec25 includes wat was al listed above…
    and what happened was they removed all the “FV cash” items after dec 25 ended…

    ofcourse how would they profit if most “purchasable” items were to be given all the way… then probably it will be a huge lost in their profit…

    sad to say but thats what i think.. and i think its quite reasonable..

    so therefore i was only able to get 3gold chiks 5 blak around 70+ fuel refills only at the 50+ gifts then even for the rest after dec25 (around 200+)i havent even got 1 fuel refill or brown chics probably FV cash items….

    so those who opened ALL thier gifts on dec25 were the lucky ones..
    or should i say very lucky…

    @Reika, this indicates that one would get cool stuff in their first 50 gifts or so. Within first 50, we get all items and after its all waste of time.

    Today I opened around 80 gifts and all I got was white chicken, gold soldier, gold nutcracker, lighted gift box, clumsy reindeer, ornaments, cocoa bear, brown cow, black sheep, white calf, black cat, etc. What would one do with 30-40+ of each of these items?

    All I can do with these items is only SELL and get some money. For this, gift moves from
    * feed to gift box
    * giftbox to tree
    * tree to giftbox
    * and then sell.

    Rather I would harvest animals, trees and crops to get money. With this, I also get mastery/experience and ribbon achievement.
    I am going to refill the tree as much as possible and not open any gift until Jan 1. If first 50 not giving anything interesting, rest will be in the tree forever.

    Hope zynga would give some cool stuff for New Year.

    I saved all of my gifts in the main page after the tree had 100 and my gift box had 29. This left me one space to use for regular gifts being received. When i first started opening i received a litlle of everything. I also received 3 gift boxes, which included two gingerbread houses and a tinsel tree. At this point i had opened about 45-50 presents. Since then I have opened 150 more and received onlt repeats of the same thing over and over. 32 black cats, 28 gold nutcrackers, 23 gold soldiers, 23 gold ornaments, 13 silver ornaments, etc. Also, slews of cows, reindeer, lambs, calfs, etc. Now I have stopped opening to see if the gifts are on some kind of cycle or something so I can possibly get different things.

    2 Free Gold Presents.

    Make a fake email and a new face book page. Add your regular profile. Go to your regular profile, accept your friend request and make 10 special presents by filling your holiday tree up, opening a present, putting one back in and posting the special present ten times. Go to your new face book page and click an FV post from your news feed to start a new farm. You will start with 5 FV cash and it is relatively easy to level up to a total of 10 FV cash if you get the ‘gifted not spoiled’ ribbon and use this method to level up. Plow a field and plant a soy bean. This will earn you 3 EX point for 30 coins. Now put the 10 presents in your tree and use the 10 FV cash to post a present. Remember only one person can ‘adopt’ the gold present. Now go to your regular farm and collect the prizes. A lot of times it’s just a stupid chicken but you can also find silver and purple mystery boxes, lambs, grey tabbys, 20 fuel…

    I got 3 grey tabbys 3 black cats 1 mystery box which had a holiday sleigh in it, lots of coca bear things, lots of gold soldiers and gold nutcrackers and lots of black sheep and 5x black chicken 1x gold chicken and of course a countdown clock. Some pretty good things here, i think, still have lots more to open to

    Now the Xmas tree offers a free present to all your neighbours each time you reach 5, 10, 15. The trick is to leave in 4 presents and accept a fifth present. Open that 5th and you can gift presents to all your neighbours. If your neigbour repeats the trick you can receive gifts endlessly!
