Comment Box
- New way of communication between FarmVille neighbors.
- Comment Box wall feature will allow you to view neighbor’s comments and post your own.
- Can still place a Sign Post via Comment Box.
- Can leave a comment on neighbor’s Facebook wall via Comments Box.
La Maison Building
- May purchase directly with farm cash or build for free with neighbor’s help and 5,000 coins.
- Need 10 of each item to complete building.
- Sendable building supplies are randomized per farmer.
- When you’ve reached 25 supplies, you can share a supply with your neighbors via newsfeed sharing.
COMING SOON to FarmVille
- New “four legged friends” will be making their way to FarmVille and “stopping by Horse Stables”. This seems to hint at the FarmVille Colts. Meaning that the Horse Stable and Horses inside may yield Colts! We’ve all seen pics of them “unreleased”.
- More limited edition French Chateau themed decorations will be coming soon.
Where is the FarmVille DOG?! After two weeks of the loading screen, there is still no mention of the release date. Can we hope for next week?

Hey Folks! Welcome to this week’s installment of the Official FarmVille Podcast! I’m sure by now that most of you know who I am, but for any new listeners stopping by; my name is Lexilicious and I am in charge of all things Community over here on the FarmVille team. As most of you know, we had a pretty crazy day today with our latest release. Because of that, today’s podcast will be a little shorter than normal. But never fear farmers, this week we will still be going to be going over our new releases, and you guys are all going to get a sneak peek of things coming to FarmVille in the near future.
So this week was pretty jam packed with new updates. First and foremost, we continued to release more Limited Edition St. Patrick’s day and French Chateau themed items. An awesome new St. Patrick’s day Themed Mystery Box also made an appearance on Tuesday along with three new Limited Edition Crops. The shamrock crop, the green hellebores and green roses can now be purchased from the Market for a limited amount of time.
As promised in last week’s podcast, we also introduced new ways for our users to communicate with their friends and neighbors. Upon signing into FarmVille, you will notice a new icon in the upper right hand corner of the application. Clicking on this button will open the new Comment Box.
The new Comment Box allows your Neighbors to leave you comments. In addition to this, you can leave comments on your own wall that you and your Neighbors can see.
If you click the Icon when you are on your own farm, you will be able to view comments that your Neighbors have left for you. Comments will fill in the comments section in the order they were placed. Clicking on the “Visits” tab in your comment box will allow you to see who has visited your farm, fertilized your crops, fed your chickens and sent gifts sent to you in your absence.
When you receive a comment or post a comment on your own farm, Avatar bubbles will appear. The avatar bubbles resemble the user’s avatar that left the comment. Once an avatar bubble is clicked they will all disappear, and the comments menu will open.
From your Comments Menu you can also place a sign post. Simply type what you wish to post and check the “Place a signpost” box. Click the “post” button and you will be able to place a Sign.
If you click the comments icon when visiting a Neighbor’s Farm, you have the option to leave a comment, place a Sign Post or Post a comment to their Facebook profile.
Our last big feature this week is something that seems to be very popular with our community. You can now build your very own decorative La Maizon building!
The Maison foundation can be purchased from the Buildings section of Market for 5,000 Coins.
Once you’ve placed the Foundation on your farm, you will be prompted with a message letting you know that you can post a feed to ask you friends for help building your Maison. Clicking the “Share” button will give you the option to post a feed to your wall asking your Neighbors for help.
In order to complete your Maison, you’ll need to finish building it. Selecting ‘Look Inside’ from your foundation’s menu will show you what you need to complete your Maison. When you first place the foundation, you’ll have one Slate Tile already. In order to build a complete La Maison you’ll need 10 of each item. You can get these items one of two ways:
Your Neighbors will be able to send you two of the five types of building components to help you complete your building.
The two components displayed on the Free Gifts Page are randomized. As such, the components displayed on the Free Gifts Page may be different for each user.
You can purchase components required to build your Maison from the Market for 1 Farm Cash per item.
When you reach 25 items, you’ll receive pop-up that will allow you to post a feed to your wall. The first ten neighbors to click this feed will receive a random building component for their own Maison construction.
You are only be able to have ONE buildable Maison on your Farm. Alternatively, you can have an infinite number of the Maisons if they are purchased with Farm Cash.
Since many of these features are quite significant changes to FarmVille, we would love to hear your feedback. Now, It seems that the French Chateau items have been hugely popular with the community, so we are very excited to let you guys know that we will be releasing even more LE items that will help you continue to build out your French Chateau theme in the future.

Since the release of FarmVille, we have seen some amazing farms. From the creative and unique to the downright impressive, we have been blown away by the hard work and originality of our users. I’m so much more excited for colts (Though I hope they’re called foals when released, because I’m OCD like that, and would like them to not all be male) than the dog.
So I’m thrilled!
Unless of course they leave us hanging on that, too, like they did with the dog….

i finally got the zynga’s joke. there will never be a dog. its a running gag like yoville’s vip section in the apartment store. it is eternally coming soon. but will never come soon. still im pretty happy with all the updates but i wish gold items were easy to get like valentine items were.

I think so. I kind of wish they’d spice up the older animals a bit..all the newer animals come out and actually have a bit of detail to them. The horses look terrible next to the white stallion. Just my opinion, anyway.

everybody stop complaining about the dog. a week later after its release everybody will probably get bored of it just like the other new animals that got released like tiger and panda etc their nothing special now old news same thing will happen with the dog

Hi, I cannot built the new house, I bought one and never been published on my wall and on actu screen ! so sale this and buy another , this time I ‘ts on my own wall and on actu screen but cannnot receive materiels after the 1st one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! does someone have same pb ? and what can I do ? thx for advices

I think its going to be a stallion which escaped gelding! I already have a stallion, but I would be screwed if only I would make the dumb foals! Isn’t that the way with Zynga, stupid dumb people! I opened 6 Valantine boxes to get him, so its imbecilic to expect that to be the only Stallion!!!

I’m so frustrated! Why they didn’t say anything about the OOS problems that appeared since last week? I (and many other users) CAN”T PLAY AT ALL!!! There is no official statement from Zynga about this, just the annoying pop-ups… They made only (actually nice) updates witch I can’t give pleasure to, because the stupid OOS messages keep appearing every few minutes? And why this site didn’t say anything about this problems? Don’t you experiencing it? grrrr

some of the new stuff is nice. i like the french farmhouse more than i thought i would. i do not like the new comment box thing at all but i guess we are stuck with it. i enjoy the game and do not want to complain but what i would like to see is a place where we can send real suggestions to improve the game. they always say that they want us to be able to make our farms different as to express ourselves but we are very limited. there are things that i think would really help in our designs. we can rotate a chicken, but not the buildings. that would give us alot more options. instead of building everything out of hay bales maybe we could have more supplies, like road peices and patches of grass to make nice lawns. i agree with a previous post about upgrading some of the animals as well

My only complaint about colts/calfs, etc. is that they never grow up. For me, that’s a big meh. I only keep a few calfs on my farm because, aside from brushing them, there’s not much to do with them. I like the ugly ducklings because you get to see them transform into adults (though a little fanfare like the mystery boxes would be appropriate I think). It would be a slice of awesome if we could have growing up as an option with other baby animals that come along.
I’d also very much like to see Zynga fix that notorious out-of-sync problem so my animals can begin wandering the farm again. I’m a “free range” farmer, so seeing my animals locked in a fixed position makes me feel like a cruel farmer from that “Food, Inc.” documentary. lol…
Very happy to see the last of the St. Patty’s stuff released. To all those who predicted a shamrock fountain: well done (but I’ll pass)! I do like the shamrock castle and the new fence — very nice. When Zynga gets it right, they do a really nice job, but there was no need for them to delay the release of those last three items. It was hardly worth the suspense. The spring pond was another nice addition, even if it is a simple retread of the previous pond with a duck leading the swan’s four baby cygents (uh, just because they’re called “ugly ducklings” doesn’t make them ducks, y’all… duh.). Still, it was very cute, so I got that one too.
And where’s the DOG?? Zynga, come on. It’s been long enough now. Dip that dog in a flea bath and get the bugs out already!

i requested from some friends to add me as a neighbour and they told me that they could see me and visit my farm but i can’t see their farm also farmville on the neighbour section doesn’t show their picture just their level it’s been 3 days since so does anyone had this problem? along me??

My animals have not moved in weeks! I’m assuming they are working on the new dog’s movement (it will probably trail right behind your farmer avatar, therefore they deactivated animal moving right now… only an assumption but i am bored with them still standing in one place!
Oh i’m on my second Maison, Lexi said that there is a limit of one in the podcast… when completed store the completed one then purchase a new foundation from the market and start all over again…

I thought the brown horses were “his” and the gray horses were “her”. So maybe we already have the stallions. I thought this last release was fabulous and clearly the folks at Zynga were working overtime to get it all done. I admit I was getting impatient to find out what the remaining pot of gold items would be, but they were actually worth the wait. Bravo Zynga! Looking forward to the colts and dog, but I have the maison to occupy my time for awhile.

I’m tired of “coming soon” those things never come soon, and it rings hollow. All it does it frustrate the players. I’d rather they not say anything and just introduce it.
The new pot of gold stuff is all scaled really small.

Very nice things show up lately….I mean, the Irish Castle…French things…….nice new buildings…..nice new decorations….but would one be able to buy all or some of that new stuff when we don’t have any more room ?! A farm expansion is being badly needed !

Really? Horse babies? Who gives a crap? I want a dog. Really, I want multiple dogs. When I think pets + farms, I think dogs, not cats, or ducks, or geese, or cows, sheep, or pigs (because they’re not pets). Two weeks of teasing and no dog. Farmville, it won’t stop me from playing, but you’re clearly ready with the loading graphic. Just release it, I beg you. Please, please, please, pretty please: release the dog. I still love the game. It’s still a lot of fun, but WTF? What’s the hold up? My god, we had a mastadon, which has been extinct for at least, what, 10 years*. LOL
* Lest someone think I believe mastasons were around while GWB was President, I know they weren’t. I was making light of a very serious situation. Darn it, there I go again, more humor, cus, the Farmville dog is not a “serious situation” although I wish it was the most important thing going on in the world these days. And, yes, I did footnote my post.

Yeehaaaa! I really think that this Farmville Dog is comming this week. Ok, i play Petville and just finished my challenge where i recieved a mini Farmville Dog. Not sure who plays but i had to collect all Farmville items in mini for days and today I got the puppy. Its a white Pudle Puppy that i got in Petville, but it says by finishing the Challenge, here is your Farmville mini Puppy as Gift in your Box. So I see this dog comming sooner as soon
