FarmVille Botanical Garden & Gift Box Glitch

In a new FarmVille glitch, FarmVille Freaks are reporting that their Gift Box is doing some strange and unusual things.
The most common report is that farmers FarmVille Gift Boxes are being found filled with Botanical Garden building supplies. The Botanical Garden was a past limited edition building, now retired, that required you to have the help of your neighbors to build. It is not a building with purpose and does not provide storage.

I got a glitch somehow in Farmville and I posted about it myself and had others say they got the same thing. I opened up my FarmVille page and noticed I had nearly 70 gifts….and 49 of those were the materials needed to build the Botanical Gardens previously released by FarmVille. Screw the gift box glitch!! The stable ate my White Stallion, Black Stallion and a Blue Pony! Talk about a major screw up! I can replace the blue pony and black stallion.. but my white stallion is another matter.

I have not experienced the botanical glitch, but all afternoon when I tried to take collection items out of my gift box it would just cycle. The item was back in the box and did not go into the collection. I don’t know if this is a gift box glitch or a collections glitch.

What I am experiencing is that you click on one collectible, such as a red feather, and you get something different, such as a green feather. Why is this?

everytime I try to access gifts (white apple trees and jacaranda tree) from my gift box I either lose them or I get a message saying my program is OUT OF SYNC. This has been happening for 2 days.

I have 43 botanical garden items in my gift box! Yikes! Also have had the problem with the collections so I just left the game and read a book.

I entered… and harvested the nursery… Got a black stallion then out of sync… so again when I entered I’ve lost the black stallion that grew up and 2 black stallion foals

No giftbox glitches but I lost 3 black stallion foals in my nursery after I collected from it today. They just vanished! and I didn’t get anything when I collected either!!!

One other thing. I have lost 5 black stallion foals from my nursery when the OUT OF SYNC message has popped up. I’d like to have my 4 white apple trees, 1 jacaranda tree and my 5 black stallion foals back.

No problems with giftbox, but I am not able to make calves/foals. It kept saying ” the Nursery is busy” to be followed by ‘out of sync’ too many times.

I didn’t have the botanical garden stuff but ALL my fuel went away. Eeek!! I had a few of the 20 gallon and about 10 of the 5 gallons and it was gone. Luckily it is back now but for awhile I was mad!!! Cause of course the extra gloves or feathers were still there but the items I actually wanted, gone. Talk about a relief when I saw it was back!!

my nursery wont let me take out my foals, i hav bsf and blue ponies inside:( and it keeps giving “out of sync” notice…..i couldn’t do anything in my farm 2day:|

i have problems with the game but didnt find any botanical garden items.
My biggest problem is that i can’t put chickens in my chicken coop and its really slow for me when i try to feed friends chickens or fertilize.

I lost a White Stallion, and a Clydsdale from my stable. I can replace the Clydesdale, but can’t replace the White Stallion! Contacted Farmville, and they said they were checking into it, yeah, right! Why is it that there is NO LIVE person or phone number for you to get ahold of them? Most of the time they don’t even reply to e-mails! If they do, they say they will get back to you within 48 hours. Yeah, I’ve been waiting for over a month now on a problem I reported!! Oh Well, get ready for another one tomorrow when they release something else to screw us up!

yup had 40 items from the botanical gardens in mine, got rid of them, so far i havent noticed anything else gone. a simple clearing of my cache using Ccleaner solved the simple missing things like some animals and structures.

I opened a brown egg, and got a brown chicken – but in my gift box I got one of those white goats, the chicken didn’t show up until a few hours later. Also someone found swallowtail butterflies, I clicked on it, yes I want one, get to my farm open the gift box and there is a blue butterfly, which I already had 10 of. Grr!

I got the same thing – lots of parts of the Botanical Gardens building – not the same total as the others have noted, but around 37 pieces. I currently have my Botanical Garden safely tucked away in storage and I checked there to make sure it was still there and was complete and then I “sold” the parts, all for 0 coins. I can think of a lot of other items I would like to get a surprise gift of!

Yesterday 3 blue butterflies, 2 daple plumes, 1 catepillar, and 1 dragonfly never showed up in my gift box, today I find all the items for the botanical garden AND missing from my box was 4 cans of 5 fuel refils from turning in collections, and a 20 fuel refill can I got out of an egg!! 40 fuel refills gone POOF!!!!

i lost my white, black and cream horses from my horse stable while i was rotating it…. i cannot take those horses out again as it keep giving me “out of sync!!!!!!”
so mad wth all this stupid problems!!!!! all other horses can get back from nursery but not the white stallion!!!!

I have stuff that I know I got and it is disappearing out of my gift box. The recycle icon is screwed up. I had clicked on a plot of land to delete, had it highlighted to delete, when I clicked to delete it my BOTANCAL GARDEN disappeared. I was so mad. That was my favorite thing in FV. Also I got the FV EXTREME MANAGER; had to pay for it and have never been able to use it. I don’t have a registration key. That was a rip off. I think they should get the apps they already have working right instead of making new ones that are messed up too. I’ve contacted them several times, has done no good.

Logged in today & gift box was loaded with Christmas tree presents! lol Continuous out of syncs when collecting from the gift box. White screens when collecting from the feed. Couldn’t send anyone construction materials, kept getting popups that said I’ve already sent the requested items from the Zynga Message Center which isn’t even working right now … what a joke!

yeah I’m scared now!!! haven’t lost any of my BSF’s or Stallions but the nursery and stable won’t give them up. nor the wandering after i harvest lol. I take em out leave and comeback and they are back in. My jacaranda’s are staying but my white apples keep going back in my gift box. If they take my 2nd nursery which they say they won’t no biggy. If they take my stallions and don’t allow them to grow up any more i will be bummed out!!!

All of my materials to complete my Japanese barn is completely gone. I accept the gift and then go to put it in my barn and when I look to see how many I have left to complete it, it shows that I have made no progress at all. It is very frustrating and it keeps saying my game is out of sync!!!

2 days i found materials for the horse stable in my gift box. last night i have 1 black stalion and 5 black stalion foals in my farm. Today i have 1 stalion adult and 4 BSF. I put 1 ready BSF in my nursery and now i have 1 stalion an 3BSF. 2 BSF is missing.
In my horse stable i have black stalion and 1 cream and i try to remove theme from nursery. And when I restart my farm, the cream and the black stalion it still in horse stable ….. What should I do? Thats is …. I’m so mad!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok went to my gift box and wow 80 gifts in it I have 11 windows a vine roof tiles and some other, it tells me to go and buy a house so I can used them . but no house to buy . every time i try to get a gift my screen goes blank with done,.

Both of my daughters lost their mail trucks from their gift box. I completed the very berries co-op, was the first to harvest, and when I seen the post that the co-op was complete I had nothing. No arrow, no gift, no xp. I have completed 18 for gold so I know what I am doing. Grrr. I reassured my daughters their trucks would show back up, but that was Saturday, so far nothing. Too bad they weren’t maison parts for all the poor souls with half finished maisons.

Wow, a major glitch all right!!
My issue is that every time I click to get wedding ingredients, all I ever get are Olives, with a few exceptions. Thank goodness for direct gifting from friends. Today, I didn’t even get that, just a blank page, And when I refresh the page, it says I already got the item. So, I go to my gift box and they are not there…so frustrating to say the least.
Sad that these glitches take so long to fix…and then new themes and items are out before said glitches do get fixed…sigh…and where is the much needed land expansion??

I do not use my gift box for storage of anything! The only thing ever in there more than a couple of minutes is a farmhand or 2 or an arborist. I NEVER take chances and save something to use or put away later and I don’t think I have ever lost a gift. Level 91, 3.5 mil in coins, 25 masteries… I don’t take chances on known glitches. For the same reason I do not rotate from the nursery, stable or dairy barn.

Gift box has been out of whack for a while now. Lots of items from the feed (especially collectables) go missing; 100XP turns into Farmhands; items in Facebook Requests mysteriously vanish (all sorts of items). This has been going on ever since the Tuscan Wedding Event was extended the first time, got worse with the second extension.
I had Egg Opening create Out of Syncs for about 5 hours today and it is now behaving.
Don’t even get me started on the White Apple and Jacaranda trees some of my neighbors have been attempting to gift.
Too much code, not enough debuggers.

Can’t remove cows from dairy barns they just keep putting them back and a pop up say refresh. Also I’m losing collecables or they are changing from blue feathers to green or they just disappear. Please fix before add any new things.

Shannon – level 80 here, over 10 million in coins, and I think most of us know that the gift box is not the safest place to store things. But the problems with FarmVille go much deeper.
I turned in a collection, redeemed the fuel, then I get an out of sync message. I get back to the farm, my collection is gone and the fuel I redeemed is not on my tank. I have a huge working farm with many crops, I need all the fuel I can get.
This constant problem on top of the extremely slow harvesting/plowing/seeding, lost/altered gifts from the main FarmVille feed, glitchy interface when accessing various parts of the farm, and the fact I haven’t been able to send a gift in over two weeks, means I am stepping back from the game for a long vacation. It is simply not fun anymore, just frustrating.
The fact people pay actual money for this BETA game is insane.

I didn’t have anything changed or added to my giftbox,
but anything I’ve collected on the feed had not been added.100xp, japanses barn materials, adopted cows… it seemed like I put in over 15 nails but it remains 9 in my japanese barn.

I have been experiencing problems with the Japanese Barn building materials….I had 7-8 bamboo in my Japaneses Barn…when i came back it was all gone…now i only have 1 bamboo…..m also missing other building materials like bricks….

I had 10 items for the maison home my my gift box. Also every 2-4 clicks plowing, harvesting or planting with equpment and pop up says “saving farm, dont close your browser”, and way too many “out of sync,refresh browser” pop ups! Upon completion of resyncing or refreshing 1/2 of progress is lost and I need to re-do that also.VERY frustrating! I also had a green calf disappear for a week, then showed up in nusery (was not there when I checked all over for it) when I tended to nursery it had grown into a chocolate cow.
Trying to claim items from FB wall and gifts from friends takes me to a blank screen and have had to refresh up to 4 times for it to appear,,,if I’m lucky.
I was also gfited a white apple tree and farm activity icon said I received a gift from specific person who sent it but it never showed in gift box.
I too love this game,,,, BUT am soooo frustrated with all the glitches, etc.! Hope FV fixes them SOON, because it makes people not want to play it any longer!!!

I am having problem with nursery barn.. i needed only 6 more bricks to complete my barn..and today mornign i got all those 6..used them from the gift box …after I completed the nursery, i just refreshed the page and it said that i still require 6 more bricks!.. I tried in the afternoon too where I got another 6 bricks and the same thing happened again..Sigh!!

All my gifts for the Japanese Barn transformed into bricks but I can’t save them in my Barn construction site. The farm just keeps going out of sync and everything is moved back in the gift box!

Considering i am trying to make a japanese themed garden, i would really like my japanese barn to be working. Im pretty sure i’ve lost about 14 parts now!
About the botanical garden, i have had no such problem yet. But very dissapointed about the barn!

Something strange happened to me.
I was abducted, then when I woke up I was in my gift box.
I had to use the resources of my PC to get a live person’s attention and put me on the farm, then eventually I made my way out to the real world again.

I don’t have a gift box glitch but I have a chicken coop glitch. Everything i try to remove a black chicken and replace it with a cornish chicken the game goes out of sync. And when I refresh they black one is in the coop again. –_–

I have the same chicken coop problem as Mercedes……and my Zynga toolbar only lets me collect drip fuel – no bonuses etc. I have e-mailed Zynga but their answers are very generic and pretty much useless! Clear cache, update browser etc…. Hope they fix this stuff soon.

Same problem as Marcy, turned in a collection to get fuel, game was out of sync and reloaded, I’m out the collection and the fuel. Like an idiot, I tried this 2 more times. So I lost three collections and gained nothing. It wouldn’t let me harvest crops last night or this morning. Crops are withered, but there is no way I’m paying money to unwither when it won’t let me harvest them. It won’t even let me plow over the existing plots.

I found over 70 items in my gift box last night. When I looked there were loads of Botanical Garden items in my gift box. This has happened before, with barn building materials showing up in my gift box. Shortly after the barn building materials showed up, the Baby Animal Barn was released. I figured the Botanical Garden items showing up might mean the Spa, Winery, etc. would be released soon, and that building them would possibly require Botanical Garden materials.

I had no unusual gifts. However, I added some bamboo and brick gifts to my Japanese barn, checked and saw that I was 3 items short of 50. Went off to scour the feed for stuff, came back and found that the stuff I had added to the barn before was GONE and not back in my gift box. Man, that’s annoying. Had no clue that it was out of sync or anything like that. Why does this game keep getting more glitchy? After a year, you’d think it would be better.

I received my items last night and then when I use a collection part it stays in the gift box, but I could trade in my earlier completed collections. This morning everything is alright with using the collection parts

went on my farm this morning and my gift box contained 69 gifts …lsat night it only contained 46 …….Yeppy I got 20 5 fuel refills and 4 20fuel refills…….I just hope they don’t take it away.

my stable is acting weird. it had 20 horses in it when i harvested it and when i came back 10 minutes later to feed my dog it only had 12. i had 2 clydesdales, 4 gray horses, a pinto horse and a black stallion- all of which were missing and i only had 12 regular horses left!!!!!! fix this glitch and out of sync crap NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My nursery has been eating up my pony foals for about 3+ weeks now. I kept telling my Mom that something wasn’t right because I had inserted 20/20 assorted calves/foals into my nursery, only to find that it would be 18/20 a day later. So I would replenish and again find the 18/20… this went on for about 2 weeks until I finally figured out which animals were missing — the fancy-colored-hair pony foals! I even changed my password, thinking that maybe someone had hacked my account and was selling off my stuff slowly so as to not be too obvious; but after two password changes, this was still happening. I’ve hustled quite a bit for those and it irks me that the nursery didn’t eat up one of the more common animals I’ve got in there!!!

I also had the out of sync when I tried to open an egg. I have 49 parts to the garden in my gift box. Now, I hope when I open this morning that I have fuel! I never thought I would run out of fuel but I sure did on my own…went through 250 fuels since they slowed down the collectables.

Collections items keep changing on me. Three times I have tried to accept trowels and they keep transforming into pruning saws and cultivators. I have plenty of those items but no trowels. Bummer.
Why would anybody keep fuels in their gift box? Just put it in your fuel tank, the tanks are huge. I have over 950 fuels.
If people get extra botanical garden supplies can they use them to complete the unfinished gardens on their farms?

OMG i thought i was the only one w/ this problem, i lost 1 white stallion, 1 percheron and 1 pinto horse! Plus my cream draft horse was going tback to the stable by him self last night, today hes outside w/ no problem and i stop getting the out of sync but my 3 horses still gone=( im so mad cuz i spend real money on the game and now this problem! I have been claiming mystery eggs today and trying to accept gifts and many of them are not showing up in the gift box…When I click to accept, the screen goes white and then when I go the gift box they are not there….I have missed at least 3 reed thatch gifts sent to me. BOO!

I am having issues removing any animals from buildings, Chickens, horses, calves, foals, cows and bulls. every building with purpose seems to have this glitch. I won’t get my hopes up for Zynga to fix it tho. Lets face facts, when is the last time they listened to players??

Well i haven’t seen any glitches to some of the extent previously posted BUT…i recieved 2 white apple trees and when placed on my farm after one minute i get the “out of sync” pop up. I use google chrome and firefox and get the same darn result on both. its getting very annoying. I’ve tried different ways too in placing the trees.
1: Opened mystery box then placed trees. (out of sync) after refreshing the mystery box stayed open and trees were back in my gifts.
2: placed trees then opened mystery box (out of sync) all reverted back into gifts.
3: opened 2 eggs then placed trees (out of sync)…yea u guessed it. the eggs stayed open and trees back in the gifts.
lets say i repeated this process quite a few times. *sigh* just hope it doesnt go out of sync when i have to harvest my peanuts for my co-op.
(hey i want all the japanese themed items. cant blame me for trying lol)

@Mercedes the same thing is happening to me! it’s so frustrating! every time i take a golden chicken out of the coop to put in a cornish, i get an out of sync error. then we i go back to my farm, the cornish chicken is on my farm and the golden chicken is back in the coop! gah!

My glitch was I put about 8 boards into my Japanese Barn and then checked on my progress and they were all gone! It isn’t counting anything towards it….but the gifts are not in my gift box anymore either. So they vanished into thin air! I wouldn’t really be that upset about it except that they only gave us a limited time to build it.

I did not have Botanical items, but instead I got a whole lot of Maision building materials in my gift box. I’m guessing this is very similar in nature because it’s building materials for another limited edition item.
Also had issues trying to move Cornish Hens into my hen house and take golden chickens out. Guess they are having some server issues…

It’s obvious that since the last update (yesterday night) there’s been problems and of course Zynga is working on them.. they’ll eventually come up with a fix but for now there isn’t much we can do.. I lost a couple of animals too and get out of sync every time I try to place any one of them on stables, nursery, dairy farm or chicken coop. Last night I couldn’t even place the mystery eggs on the farm but right now those are working again.
And why do you people keep fuel on your gift box?? It’s not like there’s a limit for the fuel tank..

I would like to say that the 7-11 /Zynga promotion is for real and does pay out. Yesterday I did receive the $200 FV dollars after entering the last 2 items I purchased. My total cost was less than $20 US and I didn’t need to buy a game card, which run $10 to $25 each! So, If you can tolerate Slurpees, or have young children who do, go for it. And the Gifts for the farm are alright too!

I have the same problem as everyone else. I have 2 black stallions, a white stallion, and a pink pony currently in my stable that won’t come out. I have clicked on “look inside” the stable, and then took a screen shot of it, so i can prove to Zynga that i had them, if something permanent should happen. Currently, I have stopped playing farmville until everything gets sorted out. I don’t want to take a chance on losing the stuff. The weirdest event this week though was losing 3 black stallion foals in the nursery barn, because they grew in to BLUE PONIES!!!

I was wondering when FarmvilleFreak would post something. I’ve had something similar happen – but with La Maison items (like a few others who have posted already). Weathered boards, slate tiles, all of them. This could be because that was the building I completed last – I didn’t participate in the mad dash to build the Botanical Garden. Now my gift box has 100 items. It’s been like that for a day or two.
I don’t mind much since I haven’t lost anything, but I sort of wonder – will these items disappear? Will Zynga just tell us to sell them? And will the lost items be returned? I’m curious to see how this plays out.

1. Fix the glitches so we can start playing again.
2. Give us an expansion so we can start buying again. Zynga is ****ing retards if they release ONE more ltd. edit theme before the next expansion. And we’re not talking 26×26. We need like 28×28 or 30×30 OR even better: A second farm. And then you should raise the storage a bit more.
Zynga wants money. Of course! And they get that through FVcash… But we have no where to place the stuff – Stuff that some people actually PAY REAL MONEY FOR!!!!!! Not fair. Give us an expansion and if the problem is that crop mastery will be to easy with a big farm then just set a limit on the number of “crop-plots”. Simple.

I am po’d about losing my whole brand new nursery loaded with rare foals. I got the new one completed then went to move it after loading with rare foals…when off the other one came a ghost nursery…I tried to reattach it…but it wouldnt move back…(oh, when it split, it split up the foal count) then I tried to remove foals..managed to get 4 out when it would even let me do that anymore. So I was stuck with both unmovable nurseries…one with my foals in it…and tried to seell one.,…but it wouldnt let me sell it…tried to sell the other…or at least see if there was a possibility…what happened?? I lost both…they are gone…the ghost one had my foals in it…
I really really want my foals back

R.I.P farmville its been a good run…. I’m so tired of stuff not loading and all the new changes the past few months, and most of them not working correctly, have, with out a doubt pushed me away from the game to the point where I can’t see me getting back into it. Too many things for FV cash, too many loading issues, too many “mega” players & not enough space also add to my withdrawl from playing. Its just not fun anymore… Anyone else with me in my feeling of loosing intrest?

See Zynga is thinking ahead by not giving us an expansion, they are smarter than what people think. If they don’t give us expansion or more storage we delete other FV$ items we have to make room for new. So later they cane “re-release” items without having to have their designers make new concepts and charge even more the next time around. Good thinking on their part. However they could make more money by having their designers work on concepts players want rather than BS items that cost too much. Personally I would pay 10 FV$ for a 28×28 expansion pretty sure at least 90% of players would. There is what?, 18 million players? DO THE MATH ZYNGA!!!!

I am glad that I took all my FVC horses out of my stable a week ago and so far havn’t had problems with the gift box. By the way, don’t know how many of you are aware of it but the gift box now holds 200 gifts.
Ps: DON’T know if its wishful thinking or finally Zynga is going to give us land expansion, I say this becuase the zoom levels on my farm has changed. I can now make my farm about 3 times smaller than I could have before. Or maybe this just doesn’t have anything to do with expansions.

I contacted Zynga and of course they emailed the not enough info bs line and how to clear caches and history and clear flash cache. I have CCleaner which does it all. I ran it like usual and nope no change. The white apples I can suspect to other reasons, but my nursery and stables I can’t remove and the wanderings even stay after harvesting lol then out of sync. I’m bummed they haven’t even addressed there is an issue yet. They probably have it figured out by now if they can’t fix it they might as well not own it lol! Now I’m stuck with a debt I can’t repay as yet. That’s a great feeling!!! Otherwise I could wait! Just wish they would even give us an explanation or we are working on it!!!!

I have been trying to collect parts for the new Japanese barn, but the parts are disappearing as fast as I collect them. I had 3 of each, but now I am down to 1 of each. Today I tried to add new barn parts, but every time I checked the barn to see how I was doing, the game went out of sync.
Given the ridiculous 999 levels and a few random coin purchases at levels most of us will never get to, along with the ever present glitches in the game, I think I will scrap the barn and quit the game altogether. I’m really tired of the whole thing!

I didn’t have prob. with my gift box
but I can’t take out or replace any of my horses or foals and if I take any.. out Of the stable or the nursery, it gives me the famous message “OUT OF SYNC”
even though I sold them, they came back again inside the stable or the nursery …. and the other horses or foals that I had replaced them with … went back to the gift box.
Really nice farmville, every time they put something new, we have to suffer.

For 5 days now the game screen dims (but does not go grey), then just freezes. NOTHING HAPPENS.

To the chicken coop people: I have this issue, although it doesn’t seem to be putting chickens in. It’s taking them out (but if your coop is full, you can’t put one in until you take one out). It also appears more generic than that in that taking any animal out of a building seems to be broken. It doesn’t act broken immediately, but everything you do after taking something else will get undone. I personally have seen it happen with horses/stable and someone I know said it happened with cows/dairies (which, incidentally, I also have the “broken dairy expansion” bug where it forgets it’s being expanded part or all the way through).
I actually tried to leverage this bug by doing something that would force a publication (e.g. finding fuel, finding dairy item, etc.) but you will find that you’ll never get asked to publish anything until the game goes “out of sync” or “saving farm.”
The iPhone app shows more interesting behaviour in that as soon as you pull the animal out you start getting “slow internet connection” warnings—which you don’t even get on 3G (vs. wifi) playing. I think the request is put in for the animal but it’s either getting back a bad answer or no answer and it’s retrying the request (with the other things you’ve done after queued behind it waiting for it to complete), then eventually gives up and gives you the “out of sync” or “saving farm” error. *Sigh*

Yeah the 26×26 expansion would be a bucket of awesome. NOT!!!! they can’t even add simple decorations without glitching the game so badly people lose farmcash items or make the game impossible to play. The way I see it, quit adding crap and fix the game so its playable. “lets give them an expansion now that they are losing items and can’t change anything on their farms” Nice one ZYNGA. Take your expansion and cram it till you make the game playable..

i have two accounts, on both i have lost animals and nursery barn and stable building materials, pretty sure i have lost items from my gift boxes aswell. also few days ago i couldnt do anything on my accounts, kept on getting out of sync messages pop up plus every time i tried to open a mystery egg it crashed. hopefully they will fix it soon and i will get all of my stuff back!

I can’t send gifts, doesn’t sound like a big problem BUT I don’t like receiving without sending back, high morals, standards , whatever. If this continues I’ll dump the whole game

My Gift Box contains 120 items now, including the Botanical Garden and French Maison materials. I thought they come from the Zynga Message center… it’s not running now, but a few months ago I’ve seen the same items there. I ignored them, but they returned. I wish there will be a glitch that gives back my 10 FV that disappeared a few months ago…
Another glitch is, I finished the Japanese Barn, then I got “out of sync” message, and the Barn was not complete! However, I completed all materials – I looked inside, and all things were “Completed”. I clicked on “Complete now” and it completed for 0 FV.
