FarmVille Freak Poll: Sheep Breeding Limit 100?

After Sheep Breeding premiered, FarmVille Freaks fast and furiously bred sheep only to discover that we are only allowed 100 bred sheep on our farms.
For those of us who have hit the 100 limit and continue to breed more sheep (who can quit? it’s so addictive!) we are forced to sell sheep that we have spent time and precious Love Potions to breed. Now, while this is painful, there is more painful news to report:
Many FarmVille Freaks are reporting that their bred sheep on farm limit is fluid rather at the fixed 100 amount the in-game pop up tells us it is.
So in other words, famers are receiving the “Sorry Farmer! You can have 100 bred sheeps on your farm.” pop up when they have less than 100 sheep. For example, I have 89 bred sheep on my farm and receive the pop up, to breed another sheep I must sell one. The rumor is that the sheep we give up for adoption are counting against our 100 limit for a certain period of time, although we can’t be certain.
Farmers have reached out to Zynga Customer Support about the issue and were told that it was an unknown issue and they would look into it. So at this point no one can be certain if this is a glitch or an intended part of sheep breeding. If it is intentional, we that just stinks! Farmers love to help their neighbors create new and fun sheep by breeding one of their best to put up for adoption, like Flasher Sheep! It would really stink if giving up for adoption lowers our own bred sheep limit.
Currently farmers can only adopt one sheep per day, but are able to give as many as they like up for adoption.

I’m much more pissed about the one lamb per day limit, makes it impossible to keep track of trades without loosing lambs, we should at least be able to save them in gifts

WHAT THE HECK!!! How are we supposed to be limited to 100 if it takes us 50 or so to figure it out??? I’m still trying to figure out how to get a sheep with stars…. Man , it’s so unfair!!!!!!!

I have less than 70 bred sheep and it keeps telling me i hit the 100 limit, so i deleted one, tried to do it again, still hit the limit, its bull*hit

And yet we can have too many trees to count, too many other animals to count! But our limit on sheep is 100? Give me a break! This is my favorite feature so far!

Whenever I breed sheep I lose all my Gifts/requests!!!! Alot of other people are saying the same thing. Have lost an awful lot! Bottles,gifts—etc. Wish this would get fixed!!!!! It’s horrible!

in all honesty, what would you do with more than 100 sheep on your farm. if you kept going you wouldn’t have room for anything else.
and yes i am breeding sheep and loving it. but have been getting rid of the duplicates.
i would LOVE to get a RED sheep. have all kinds of colors, dots, stars and flashers. but NO RED sheep yet!!! ~sigh~

I just want some help on figuring out what kind of ram to mix with what color or kind of sheep to get something different. My friends all say wait…and they are wonderful but are so busy as they are the only ones that have figured it out. Is there any guide or hints? Help!!

I have hit the 100 limit and it sucks. We work hard to breed these sheep, beg like there is no tomorrow from our friends and also spend money to play this game. Why the limits? I only started the EC because of the sheep breeding. I was bored on my other farm. The breeding is fun and enjoyable. Now with the limit they have yet again sucked the life out of the game. Zynga listen to your players. We spend money and you want to turn that down? Excellent business practice…Let’s turn down money!! Give your head a shake and get rid of you sheep limits and gift limits. Take the game throttles off!!

I have not hit my limit yet, and so far, I am not concerned yet. I have bred too many sheep that look exactly the same, so I have been selling the duplicates whenever I get a new sheep. What I wonder is if we will ever be able to place a sheep pen on our original farm. Even if we can’t breed there, I would like the building to store all the sheep I have sitting out in the open.
Also, I wish they would let us discover Extra Love potions when we harvest our Sheep Pen. That would help us out a little so we don’t have to constantly be begging for them from our friends.

Have yet to get ANY Flashing Sheep.
I do have All the 1st Generation (Reg types)
2ndGenerations Cameo, and Star Color changing and Dots
3 Generation and Now PHANTOM/Masked Plain,and Star
Working on Cameo and Dotted Masked,
But alast no striped one yet
Nor the newest Color changing Maks ones,

I’m trying to breed flashers from flashers. I have a flashing male with stars and a flashing female… but out of 10 lamb, I have yet to make a single one that also flashed. I want to give them to my friends.
I still think the masked sheep are freaky little things. They aren’t drawn all that well so I think they are mutants. *nod* I have one thats face flashes independently from its stars… so weird… lol

Dori good luck with getting anyone to tell you how to bred the different sheep. I have one friend that shared a star sheep with me and if it wasn’t for her i wouldn’t even have that one, And they will change the limit from 100 because if they don’t they will lose alot of farm cash on their sheep cause why buy when you can’t breed them
and no one wants to get rid of their star,belted and flashers and mask sheep

I think we should be allowed to breed as many as we want.. We are the ones paying for them. Also the adoption of lambs. We can adopt other animals more than once. I think we should be able to adopt up to ten a day. Thank you.

they need to stop the one lamb adoption per day limit as well as the 100 bred sheep limit they give us something fun and new to do that many of us just love but they take the fun out of that by limiting it! GET RID OF THE SHEEP AND LAMB LIMITS!

i think its ridiculous. i think zynga will do away with it. if theyre willing to give us a non-pause feature then me thinks theyll be willing to remove the limit. they will miss out on tons of money if they dont.

I Love this sheep breeding but getting a little fed up of only 1 choice of Ram in the market -why cant we have more of the pattered ones has shown-i dont think there should be any limit,i enjoy it,its costing me an arm & a leg to do this as i like to see instant results,but as i say .no choice only the White & Polka dot Ram to choose from-those who dont want to breed i think thats their choice -but dont spoil it for the rest of us-also i think 10 bottles is far too much for each breeding,and the potions too ,thats a pain– let us make our own potions-i think if you listen to the people you have nothing to lose here but everything to gain ,money wise.

I would like just to be able to breed. The out of sync messages have started again. Just like zynga to start something new and ruin it AGAIN!! As far as new sheep when I can breed I get the same ones all the time. No stars, no mask..nothing!! About to quit England because of this!!

Well that just sucks big time! I spend money on extra “love potion” to make pretty sheep, and they are going to limit how many I can breed? I have just about had it with Zanga and their stupid rules, tonight I started getting “Whoa farmer, you have collected all the bonuses you can have today” This is total BS! I was collecting watering cans and bottles, and sending my friends one back…now I can’t even collect “love potion” for breeding till tomorrow……see if I spend another dime on this game…

this has to be the worst thing zynga can do the limit pop up hit me i never even bothered to count the sheep before selling a lot that i put work,time and energy into and chasing down love potions to breed them effort lost i was ready to quit the new farm we r not children its like time out,sinks, stinks bad. zynga u pissed me off and i am certain i am not the only one.

Not only do I think the limit (thought I haven’t come close to reaching it) is ridiculous, but it is discrimination. Does any other craft require that we ask for not one, but TWO things in order to breed (bottles and love potion)? Other crafts allows you to grow your own supplies or buy them from neighbors. And who the heck needs all those dang ducks??!! If you want to “limit” the sheep, then do the same thing where sometimes we get coins instead of lambs. Nothing else has caused me such frustration to where I actually have to comment here about it… til the sheep issues.

1.Wish we had a guide I have one star ewe and would love to breed a star ram can not seem to make it happen if the ram solid color get a solid or if ram a polka dot get a polka dot. Can some on the board tell what to breed the star ewe with to get a star ram
2. How in the heck to I get a camo on my farm, can it be random or do I have to beg neighbors who are breeding sheep?

I am sick and tired of imposed limits. Zynga is biting themselves in the a$$ bottles and potions are a big part of their income as I know many people must be buying them. Imposing the limit is going to have less and less people buying these items. I think that they really need to figure out what they are going to do to resurrect themselves as more and more people leave due to their bugs, limits and terrible customer service. I have boycotted buying anymore farm cash until they get things like the disappearing gifts fixed.

farmers, i really think it’s very likely that, as with the “pause” feature, zynga is way ahead of the players as far as what th response will be to limits, changes, rules, etc. they are professional game developers. farmville is an amazingly fun, interesting, addictive, creative game. this kind of success doesn’t happen just by chance. right?
it’s great to think that they “heard us” and THEN decided to remove the pause feature. if that’s true, great. i tend to think otherwise, that it was never intended to be permanent, since they probably predicted our responses long before… i’m thinking the same thing about these sheep/lamb limits. [ i personally have not been limited to 1 lamb per day & am nowhere near 100 bred sheep yet] it’s like publicity for celebrities; create a stir and then repent – instant popularity! this is only my humble opinion – i have no idea whether it’s correct or not. just thought i’d put it out there. of course we should continue expressing our pleasure/displeasure about whatever it is, but maybe SOME ppl don’t need to pop a new vein in their head every time they dislike a certain feature….

Albi: I had a friend with only a star ewe (which was white on white, of all things, that poor girl) that spent about 20 tries with plain rams before she got another star sheep. Just seems to be the way of it, since the majority of the time the pattern comes from the male. All the plain, white sheep she produced…
So disappointing.
For all the people looking for new patterns and colors, I would be happy to have one or two more active neighbors who don’t have a lot of neighbors of their own. I only have a small group of active friends, and I’m tired of adding people who have 200 neighbors and get their stuff gobbled up super fast.
I have all sheep patterns (though I’m not breeding the masked ones, they scares me
) and a horrifying neon rainbow of sheep (tame colors need not apply). Also, I tend to give out at least two or three sheep a day at request or just for fun.

oh and, if you have chosen to spend actual money on farm cash, that’s on you isn’t it? i mean, it’s a game, thus it’s a risk. if GOD forbid zynga declared bankruptcy tomorrow ur not getting any money back. i don’t understand anyone putting real life money into a game like this without comprehending that. yes zynga should do everything possible to restore items purchased if they’re lost, etc. but people, come on… it’s frustrating and even infuriating but that’s LIFE. if only your worst problem was losing an item u bought with farm cashing & getting nowhere with customer service about it. Not only have I hit the 100 limit, but even after selling over 30 sheep, I still cannot breed. Zynga has given very inconsistent answers, from “our programmers are working on it”, to “you can only breed 100 sheep EVER”. I’ll be reporting them to the BBB quite soon if it does’t get fixed!

I don’t think it has anything to do with the sheep we give away. I have only given away 3 sheep and I am at 82 sheep and can not breed anymore, even when I sell one or more.
Sometimes if I sell like 5 it will let me breed one, but that ridiculous considering
1. I haven’t even reached 100 bred sheep yet
2. even if I had reached 100 bred sheep, I should only have to sell one not like 5 to breed again.
Its a stupid glitch thats taking all the funny out of it, and this wouldn’t have happened if they hadn’t of put a ridiculous limit on it to begin with

Is there some mystery or secret to breed a sheep with stars? Is it a random spin of the breeding wheel? I have asked friends who create the star sheep and they are not talking. There are charts to breed certain sheep but it doesn’t start from the beginning. People we are all in this together. Let’s be neighborly.
I am tired of limits too. Breeding sheep is fun – it’s exciting to see what you get. It is a game Zynga. Limits? Come on! If we want 1000 sheep on our farm let us have 1000 sheep. Thanks for creating the pause option off/on feature so we can manage both farms; another way for Zynga to profit.

My sheeps hardly change their colours… it is basically dull, no stars or stripes… most of my sheeps just turn out blue etc. although i mix them with so many different sheeps i purchased. it is unfair of zynga!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems really STUPID that I buy all the sheep from the market with Farm Cash and yet I CANNOT breed one star sheep. Only polka dot or flat colours. What was the point? I refuse to breed any sheep until I have a fair idea. MOOOOOO!!!!!

I have 94 sheep on EC (3 purchased) 4 from old holiday special collected sheep) I do NOT consider these as BRED. I have NOT been able to breed for 2 days. Wrong info from one guy at Zynga…that you can only have a TOTAL of 100 sheep on both your farms. I can’t request love potions…..but I’m ticked as I have only 94 sheep. Someone let me adopt a lamb today to see if it denied me getting one. I could feed it and post it but still won’t let me breed. I too heard 100 total bred sheep so if you sell off 6 sheep you can’t breed 6 sheep to replace it!

I’m not into bottle begging or potion pushing so any sheep I grow is just incidental. However, I do have a great group of friends who LOVE this so I find myself posting the potions just for them. in fact, as soon as I finish this missive, I’d better hop on line to post for them since it’s been four hours now. Unless I happen to have bottles in the gift box or really WANT to see what the sheep will look like, it gets given away. Am told the pattern comes from the male and the color from the female. Thanks to the adoption of a friend’s ram lamb I do have a star male now so I am sloowly growing up a lamb just to see what it will look like. I would probably adopt a few more if the limit was lifted (or even increased). This is just another way to thwart the “cheaters” and not worth getting upset over.

The sheep genealogy isn’t even activated. Everyone will have hit the 100 limit by the time it’s active and no one will be able to use it!! Personally I love the sheep. They have always been my favorite animal and I’m interested in genetics, so I love the sheep breeding.

I do not understand why we have to have limit of 100 bread sheep to begin with. Having a limit to addapt one lamb in 24 hours is even worst. Where is the fun and sharing here. There is no limit on horses & cows , why on sheep.
Lots of players are not even aware of this limit and are sending lambs that goes to waste.
Zynga, get rid of this limit and let people have fun and enjoy this venture. Other then this , so far so good . Game is great and intertaining.

Tessey sent me a flashing color changing star ewe. I am looking for a similar ram to breed with her. I only got 1 puke green star ewe out of the 20 times I tried breeding her. If you can make a ram add me sandra ehrman. I only got FV England because of the sheep breeding. Every time Fv adds something it screws up the gave even more. no limits are needed.

I dont under stand why every one will not tell how they got the clor changing ones,they say its no big deal but they will not say how???I have about 13 and i get told to refresh the page and cant even get the love po,or a bottle,and the you see some sending out babys all day long how do they get all the love po,???

What is the point in buying more sheep from the market if you can’t breed them. I think this is bull and it makes me not want to spend anymore money with zynga. I have reached my limit on breeding so I won’t be buying any of the new sheep to breed. I have sold off a bunch of the sheep I have bred just to stay under the 100 limit but it didn’t do any good. I still can’t do anymore breeding.

I, too, got the “100 sheep” limit notice and couldn’t breed anymore–so I started selling some of the ones that I had–kept getting the notice–kept selling–even ones I really wanted to keep–finally I decided to count and I have 89!!! I have been giving them away to my friends, too–really encourages us to share if it is true that those count against us even if just for a short time. I did place some of the spring sheep on my farm–hope they don’t count against the 100–shouldn’t but did Zynga get it right?

Right ok please do something about this limit carry on I have been told am at 100 even know I have counted my sheep over and over and also sold alot of them am down to 65 and still cant breed anymore
this is really annoying as i want to take part in the whole process and cant as it wont let me yet i dont have over my amount of 100. I also done the same on my homefarm thought …ok so start breeding on here….now have the same problem and yet again sold a bunch of sheep and yet STILL CANT BREED….please address this situation as it is becoming tiredsome and i really dont want to have to sell every damn sheep i owe even though i bought alot of them with fv cash and would hate to have to sell a few of my good ones/ PLEASE SORT THIS OUT!!

If u get the “sorry farmer bla bla bla” message just empty your sheep pen , refresh your game then put all your sheep back in the sheep pen & youll be able to breed again!

When they say ‘bred sheep’ do they mean sheep that have been bred before, or sheep that you have bred yourself? In any case I only had 34 sheep when I got the message that I can only have 100 bred sheep, so I was not allowed to breed more. I deleted two sheep that I had bred many times and I still got the message. So I guess it refers to sheep you have bred yourself. Still, I am not close to that limit. I only have 32 sheep now. I am not sure how many I have adopted out. If they counted I would have raised them and sold them instead. Do those count too? I have a dream/goal of having a whole heard of sold teal sheep. It is my favorite color. Now I can’t go on with it I guess, unless there is some fix for this.
