Quest 4: I am asumming that it’s 1,000 strawberries not 100.
Does anyone know the duration of this quest?
Posted on October 3rd, 2012 at 5:08 pm
I was pleasantly surprised to see the Duke pop up on my screen to announce this quest. Sure I’m doing this ..and they’re giving us 28 days to finish this? good. i’ll take my own sweet time
Posted on October 3rd, 2012 at 5:25 pm
i just got the farm and i never had it before
Posted on October 3rd, 2012 at 5:35 pm
I wish all quests would last a month. Then maybe I could get some finished.
Posted on October 3rd, 2012 at 5:51 pm
I’m not going to do this quest, not tying myself up for the next 28 days, and there will be more quests to do on the Haunted Hollow farm, plus other bits and pieces along the way, more stuff to collect, more stuff to build, nope this is not for me, it isn’t as if the prizes are great, I love trees myself, but the two that are rewards in this quest are old trees.
Posted on October 3rd, 2012 at 5:59 pm
Normally I’d say this wasn’t worth it (at least most of it), but it is a month and, unlike the Hawaiian ones, you can plant the crops anywhere if you got the transferable storage the first time. The worst one is the cara potatoes as those are 2 day, but, again coming up with 1000 plots yo don’t need across 5 farms is a lot easier even with other stuff going on. Only interesting prize for me is the white pine tree (which looks different from the old white pine—they’re recycling names again, but at least it’s not a $FV recycle).

Nah. Too much work for prizes I don’t really want that much. Old English chickens are not at all rare anymore, the goat can probably be found as a mystery baby, and easier quests give you darts too.
We’re already playing quests in Haunted Hollow, two lines of quests on the Home Farm, and the last chapter of Jade Falls is probably still up. It’s too much.

Absolutely NOT! What crap!!! I have all these things except for the so-called mansion! and you want me to WHAT? Plant a million crops for WHAT??? I don’t THINK so!!!
Posted on October 3rd, 2012 at 7:05 pm
I wont! Nomatter that it’s whole month. I already almost quit the farm,I play it once a week,I don’t do the quests,it’s too much for me. 7 farms,so much thigs to build and I don’t plan to beg my friends which also play less than before. And my computer is going to blow up when I turn on the farm, you have to have a super new computer to play it.Also takes some hours to finish all the thing on the 7 farms. I guess it will make me quit at all.

I went ahead and started this one because I couldn’t find a guide for it anywhere, but now I wish I hadn’t. I only really like the Mansion, but I don’t know if its worth all the fuel I’ll spend trying to get it. I know They give us a month, but it still seems like a LOT of work for only one thing that I really like. Wish I hadn’t planted those peas, I don’t think I’ll be using them for anything.

Sometimes, I am severely disappointed by Zynga’s lack of creativity and imagination in these quests. Thankfully, we are spared the idiotic anthropomorphic animals (shark cows, etc) with which Zynga seems currently obsessed. But for a 28-day quest, no Book of XP? No turbo? No instant grow? I agree with Judy Harrison: 1000 turnips for a goat? They must be joking!!!
Posted on October 3rd, 2012 at 7:59 pm
I like the goat, and mystery game darts are always good but the rest of the prizes are lame. What I really want is the shipping license that I was cheated out of when they ended the last English quest early.

After i plotted my game plan for this i realized “oh yeah, kinda challenging with so much to harvest and recipes to finish ” . For those doing other quests concurrently it would be tough to handle. It isn’t surprising that required crops would seem like million to some.
Since i have chosen to skip the other running quests (counted 3) it is no problem to do over 28 days. Besides seeing the Duke after …a year is it (?) made me nostalgic of the good old times .

No I will not be working on this quest..The amounts are ridiculous..I can’t sit ar my computer all day..What about the other quests??? Get Real Zynga.

These still don’t look as bad as the hawaii quests, but my English farm has not loaded in TWO MONTHS, so I wonder if these will be worth trying. Well, only the last prize is worth playing for. English hen? Goat? I sell those all the time for coins. 1000 cara potatoes?

I think they really need to give the whole quest a break for a while. I’m really starting to hate Farmville & every other Zygna game.
Posted on October 4th, 2012 at 5:05 am
i hate farmville now it used to be a place to relax help freinds and enjoy making your farm look good now its all about tasks and quests one on top of the other i looked forward to the quests when they came occasionally but now its like a full time job too sressful for me begging for items all the time please slow the quests and tasks down make it a game we enjoy again the english quest is a joke no way will i be doing that no matter what the prizes are too much work and too long

Thanks for bringing back the English quest. Yes, t is a lot of work but it is worth it to me because there isnt much begging and borrowing from others to get done. I love plowing and harvesting anyway! I do have to say though by reading here I see not all people have access to English Farm.

number 1 says Gertrude the Ewe then its a picture of a tree…
Posted on October 4th, 2012 at 10:23 am
Because this is my first time on the English farm, do I need a special crafting building for the recipes needed? Or can I find them in the normal bakery on my home farm? I don’t remember seeing them so I figured I’d ask.
Posted on October 4th, 2012 at 11:53 am
Nope, I am going to pass. Thank you for these heads up. I do not do to many quests now. Just takes away from the fun of the game. Quests belong in Frontierville. I just like to plant crop and re-arrange my farm. I do not visit the other farms much either. I stay on my home farm unless I am doing a co-op then I go to England.
Posted on October 4th, 2012 at 8:27 pm
Michelle–there should be a Pub on your English farm, if not look for it in the Market. That’s where you make those recipes.

To Farmgoddess: Huge error….I finished number 2 of this quest but number 3 will not appear!!!
What to do now with all those crops? My field is loaded with Hops for nr. 3.
Posted on October 5th, 2012 at 1:18 am
I completed 1st Quest and it disappeared – did not go to 2nd What happened?
Posted on October 5th, 2012 at 8:46 am
I had started this one but revisited your guide and now will abandon it. Even with the updated prizes (which are lame) it is not worth my time or resources to pursue this one. Thank you for your hard work in posting these guides…they help!

The White Pine Tree is a decoration. I kid you not…
Posted on October 7th, 2012 at 3:05 am
directions here are wrrong. in the beginning at wheres the wood, they want 800 hops and 800 red currants. not tomatoes and strawberries
Posted on October 8th, 2012 at 12:26 pm
I am now at Quest 5. I believe that this guide has an error.
For Quest 3, you will get the tree. So this picture should appear on Quest 3.
For Quest 4, you will get the ewe. The picture should have been as such.
For Quest 4 and 5, either you had an error or Zynga switched the crop requirements.
Posted on October 8th, 2012 at 12:28 pm
cont.
Quest 5: The crop requirements are strasberries and tomatos.
I planted the potatos since it’s a two-day crop. Fortunately, there’s still plenty of time for me to complete this quest.

Not going to do this one…Too many crops , 800+ on some and prizes not in keeping with work needed to get them. Already have 7 farms to maintain and my computer is complaining every night and whirring away at every post, change of farm etc., Now if Zynga offered to help upgrade our comp. to handle the extra workload, I might be tempted ! lol… As If!!

Chicken, got. Goat, got. Trees, got. Buildings don`t want….
Only thing on that list that I really want is the pop-the-balloons; at lest
I can get something good out of a pop-the-balloons
Posted on October 24th, 2012 at 11:32 am
i am at number 9 presently and hope to finish by tomorrow or the next day after it was exausting to manage this quest and all the others at the same time. Even had to take my farm as hostage by taking everything out and scrambling the rest in corners so i know that i will have a hole lot of work to put everything back where it was.
