FarmVille Announces Downtime Tonight
In a message on Facebook appearing above your FarmVille farm’s home page, FarmVille announced that there will be temporary downtime. As they are working on maintenance and technical issues.
Starting at 8 PM EST there will be intermittently down time where you may not be able to access your farms due to this scheduled maintenance.
Hopefully this downtime will also bring a very delayed FarmVille Updates including the football items before the Super Bowl big game day!

Mine works, also when visiting a neighbor farm a notice popped up say something about a to-do list but exited out b4 I could take a picture…is this what the down time is about?

Well I just did my fields so it is still up for the moment. Might be down soon though. I wonder just what they are working on. Wonder if they’ll let us know what’s up…

I have a 4 hour crop ready to harvest….wouldn’t have used a 4 hour crop if I had known…wonder why they don’t give us anymore notice???

Probably cleaning up background code hence the need to have the whole game offline whilst they did it.
James – clam down and learn to spell.
The updates come when they come. Zynga are under no contractual obligation to provide any updates at any specific time. Eventually the game will come out of Beta and updates will drop off so enjoy them while they last and stop whining.

Funny thing is I see NO spelling errors in either post .. there are a few grammatical errors like using there instead of their but that’s a common mistake.
I never really understood why people need to correct each other for spelling, grammar and punctuation errors on a forum.
Anyway….
So far nothing has noticeably changed after the downtime. Who knows it’s probably just cleaning up bad code as well as getting stuff ready for new patches.
Zynga really needs to stop adding new features and stuff to the game and work out the many issues it currently has. I currently can not expand because it says I have 13/10 people. Storage Expansion has been broken since it was released. Yet instead of fixing it they release the Stables.

My FB home page is different now. I can’t find out how to set a link to show only farmville post. Any suggestions? The closest is clicking friends, then my link for games but I was hoping to skip the extra steps.

Anyone else having trouble with posting on FB. All of my “Perfect Bunches”, Level up, Ribbon Earn ect…are not posting. Is this due to FB facelift?

I would just like to know what the big deal with their down time was. What did they enhance??? The response time is still ridiculous… visiting farms to feritilize and feed chickens takes forever (getting tired of feeding chickens anyway cause there is nothing hardly in the eggs but more chickens)… the new stuff did not come out and the game is tomorrow. Whether you like the footbal stuff or not it would at least be nice to see something new in the market other than a new colored cow and an over-priced pinto pony. I’m not complaining about farmcash items, because I buy plenty when i see something I like and all it takes is one look at my farm to figure that out. Got to give them credit for sprucing up the mystery boxes, but it’s the giftables and coin items that keep people coming back. Spread the wealth…. list something that everyone can afford once in a while. The live chats??? Who cares? Most people seem to be getting booted off anyway and nothing new is revealed. If Zynga is not going to come out with new items (nachos & picnic tent) in a timely fashion, then do something to keep people from getting these advanced pics. The game is tomorrow and, quite frankly, without a pickup truck it’s not truly a tailgate party anyway. I’m not crazy about dogs, but I’ve never seen a farm without one, nor have I ever seen a farm without a rooster. Then again, the rooster would probably just have it’s way with the hens producing something else we would need to pet in order to gain coins that can’t be spent on anything useful anymore. It’s getting boring. Either $&!t or get off the pot, Zynga. Upon closer examination… I perhaps need to cut myself off for a few days. Can’t believe I’m taking this crap so seriously.

One more thing… I don’t care about complainers or anything else anyone has to say. This is America and freedom of speech is paramount, but there is no call to be mean. We have fellow players/human beings all over this world. I am a longtime veteran of the United States military and damn proud of it – and my country. Making stupid, uneducated remarks about another country is not only wrong, but unfair. Anyone that thinks we are all “not in this together” is crazy. The balance of power can shift at any moment. Be kind to each other and respect what you do not understand. That’s it…. Peach, out!

Zynga is having issues where nothing gets posted on the wall. So much for the maintenace. It get worse everytime the game get enhanced.
If we have to check our emails to view these postings…lot of ppls will simple leave the game. Why change it when it has worked so well .. oh well..
