FarmVille Freak FAQ: How do I get my FarmVille link for exchanges?

With the re-introduction of all working links, many of you are eager to exchange your link with FarmVille friends and non-neighbors, but do not know how. Before you can exchange links you will need to first know how to get your link. Please read below for instructions.
Q: How do I get my FarmVille link for exchanges?
A:
Choose the link you are looking for:
Replace your Facebook ID number at the end (after = sign).
2. Click your profile photo.
3. At the end of the URL there will be numbers, that is your facebook ID

Once you know how to create your FarmVille link, you can exchange links at the FarmVille Freak Link Exchange Chat or FarmVille Freak Forum and get some extra help from your fellow FarmVille Freaks!

I just stated this exchange link thing and I’m returning all the gifts but some people request certain things. But, when I send a thank you gift it send the same gift.
Please, How can I send a different thank gift??

Thanks…..i was posting earlier in the link exchange and got banned because i accidentally hit the enter button too many times…i didn’t mean to do that and I am not a spammer, just an avid facebook fan looking to share links with fellow farmvillers….how do i go about getting unbanned….i tried to do another chatroll acct but it didn’t work…my chatroll id is chongbone….thanks

Hi,
Another way to get this link is to ask your friend to send the link to you(I got mine from another account).Your friend on farmville must open the farmville page.Below there is a scrolling friends list.He/she should click on your name & drop down menu opens up.Then he/she should click on ’send gift to @@@@’.A new page opens up withe desired link in the address bar.Ask him to send this to you.

Many a times people ask for specific gifts in the link exchange forums.I make it a point to mention that if anyone needs a specific gift as thank you gift,they MUST send their gift link in the mesage along with the gift they are sending you.I also mention that thank you gifts are the same gifts.Many people dont know this and end up losing a return gift.

The chat is always Full its almost imposible to get in. maybe a little sugestion could help to control the traffic: you can make different chats for differents pourposes. I mean:
Gift exchange chat
Barn raising chat
Fertilize anf fed chat
Neighbour Request Chat
and so on….
just a little sugestion

@Oliver: Your suggestion sounds like a great idea and I thought the same thing. However, yesterday we tested 3 link chats for specific purposes. For example one was a Valentines only link chat, the others were Horse Stable Supplies and Barn Raising and then just general link chat. The problem is that hardly NO one was following the rules. If regular link chat was full then they would just go to another chat and post whatever they needed regardless of what the purpose of that chat was. It’s really rude, but when it comes to links people get so desperate about posting them with a great sense of urgency that they don’t care if they are breaking rules.
It was too difficult to enforce rules and moderate because of all the people that wouldn’t follow rules, we would have had to ban everyone. Starting last night we created 3 link chats with caps of 50 each. After testing caps at 100 and 75, it resulted in too many people and the flow of the chat was so fast that it defeated the purpose of sharing links.
I would also like to encourage you all to share your links at the FarmVille Freak Forum. There you can post your link in specific categories.

I think it’s kindof silly to ban someone for breaking a rule that wasn’t explicitly in the list of rules at the top of the page, and who stopped breaking the rule once they were told it was against the rules. I mean, someone replied with “no multiple links per post”, which I wasn’t aware was a problem because everybody was doing it and it wasn’t in the rules, making sure I never posted so often that I was spamming, and I stopped doing it immediately, and got banned five minutes later without having posted anything at all.
I’m aware it’s somewhat implied by the “don’t spam with your links” but I took that more of a, don’t post the same thing over and over and over and have your link be the last 10 posts in a row type of thing, not, don’t include two different ways for people to send you valentines in a post.
Sorry. I’m sure someone will reply to let me know that I’m a moron and shouldn’t whine or something, but whatever. I really liked using the link exchange chat and it was a big help to someone who does not have many friends actively playing farmville.

I guess I’m dense, but I dont understand whats going on with the links. Dont you just go to someone’s site and click on them if you want something, or to feed their chickens, etc.?

Lynne: my best advise for you is:
—> Click on those links and see where they take you.
This is one of those things that is kind of weird to explain in words. Actions will do much more. So, just click on them and notice the difference. Go to the chat room where the links are shared and just experiment. You should notice the difference right away.

when you’re looking for your ID for the link, you dont have to click on your profile pic! Just go to your profile, and the ID is in the address bar at the very end

I must be crazy. I have tried everything here to get my gift link and nothing works. I have someone else’s link as an example and it is working. I put my ID in place of his and it doesn’t work. Anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

whenever i try to help on clicking someone’s link, the gift page shows, then i click on x gift and when i try to send it, it only shows MY neighbors… what am i doing wrong?
