FarmVille 2 Coming Soon
Yesterday, June 26th 2012, Zynga launched an official FarmVille 2 Facebook Fan Page and it is legit. The company released details on FarmVille 2 as “coming soon” along with the announcement of other new Zynga games including The Ville and ChefVille titles at a Zynga Unleashed event in San Francisco at Zynga’s headquarters. They also revealed plans for their new social gaming network, “Zynga With Friends”, which it describes as “a unified experience that will connect all players on any platform.” (Source: MSNBC)
FarmVille FarmVille 2 In-Game
The big Z confirmed that the sequel to FarmVille will officially be called FarmVille 2 with the launch of its official Facebook Fan Page. We’ve heard rumors of the FarmVille game spin-off under the names Big Harvest and FarmVille 2 and shared with you some substantial evidence (see article links below) about the upcoming game here on FarmVille Freak. Rather than being a FarmVille destination farm such as Jade Falls, Hawaiian Paradise, etc. this is a brand new game from Zynga. What can we expect? If you’ve missed the sneak peeks of the Big Harvest screenshots, you can check them out below. The first thing you’ll notice is a graphics upgrade with the more three-dimensional eye candy of some of Zynga’s newer games- think CastleVille, which FarmVille rightfully deserves.

Ugh, they’re not going to change it into a game like Castleville, where you have to use/spend energy for everything, are they? I hate games like that.

Something of interest from an article I just found:
More significant to both players and Zynga’s shareholders though is that none of the items purchased or earned in FarmVille will carry over to FarmVille 2, meaning a whole lot more micro-transactions. At least, that is, if people are willing to play the game.

Hopefully it is a choice to play this and we don’t loose all of our hard work

No go here……why change a game that is fine….expect for the massive OSS’s. People like farmville just the way it is now, myself included. It’s just another money grab unfortunately.

I like the idea of an update as well as some of the other changes I am reading about, BUT Zynga either needs to allow players to transfer items (animals, trees, decorations, etc) over to the new game or at the very least compensate players in some way such as awarding massive amounts of Farm Cash that can be carried over to the new game for items turned in from the original. People have spent a lot of time on their farms and a number of them have also spent a considerable amount of real cash!

Nah!
Humbug!

I highly doubt that they would really just remove the original Farmville or make it so us dedicated players lose everything we had, especially since they’re still seemingly doing well if they’re coming out with that new Jade Falls and new items all the time. Plus the fans with myself included would be seriously angered, knowing that they spent so much time and even money on the old game. I mean Zynga isn’t THAT evil, are they?

Farmville is not getting “transformed” into a new game. There will be Farmville and Farmville 2. Two separate games completely independent from one another.
Zynga wouldn’t make items transferable because of the new graphical style of FV2. Could you imagine Zynga actually taking the time to convert every single item from Farmville into the new look? No…. Not happening.
Most people have 6 farms, most people have maxed out storage, and most people have at least the biggest coin sized farms. Do you think that Zynga would give you 6 farms right away? No. Would they give you tons of storage space for all your items? No. Would they start you off with a mega sized farm for your stuff? No.
Since this is not an upgrade, but a 100% separate game everyone will start at the beginning.

Ohhh looking forward to this…

wont be playing it if I can not transfer my purchased items over – nothing wrong with FV the way it is
Posted on June 28th, 2012 at 1:44 pm
I won’t play it. I don’t even like the graphics.
Posted on June 28th, 2012 at 5:14 pm
I stopped playing any of Zynga’s games ages ago.
I’m curious about the new format but if it is energy based as the above comments suggest I’d drop the idea of even starting.
As for the original & Farmville 2 running side by side… expect it to continue for a while but you’d be dreaming to think that it will run ad infinitum. The development $ will go to the new versions & the old will be supported to the extent that will keep their players happy until they’ve adopted the new.

Looks cool but won’t play it. Already spent way too much time and money on FV1. If they require us to switch over then I’m done with all of it.
Posted on June 28th, 2012 at 11:57 pm
whoah!!, zynga really want to suck up all our money and time by making lots of farm…i used to spend real money on this game but i stopped because i realized that its a waste of time/money playing the game with so much issues …zynga can’t fix the bugs etc.. and they keep making farms! i guess they want us to quit. LOL! well, im almost there zynga! ….there’s NO WAY I PLAY THIS STUPID FV2!!!

really looks like a rip off of Country Life
Posted on June 29th, 2012 at 4:02 am
ohh no! Why You put a Watermark on your post , that pictures is from Zynga so you don’t need to put a watermark “FarmvilleFreak”

I think the graphics look childish. They should have given this new game a different name. Farmvill made Zynga, that’s Farmvill 1 that is, why bite off your nose to spite it’s face Zynga?
I won’t be playing it. If I want a new game I will find something vastly different than FV and just keep my regular enjoyable FV farms.
