The porcupine was never in a mystery chest… And why do they have to put the zen garden in there? Of course most people have one from past golden eggs, and we don’t want to risk Farm Cash for one. :\ These could be more purposeful. Though the alpaca is nice!

@Tony, i think that this crappy update was a result of last minute decisions. Meaning that the designers’ attention was elsewhere. Meaning that the dog is possibly thursday, or something else big is thursday.

I got an alpaca on the first try. I also bought an invisible cat. No kidding all you see is the smile! I put it right in front of my maison and have it set to walk around. I think it might be fun to see that smile just float around the farm LOL!

I opened 3 mystery boxes… already had the koi pond & the zen garden. I got the porcupine, swing, and the outdoor fireplace. I have to say this is a very great mystery box, but they should have some big prize. I wanted the alpaca though!! Overall, good prizes, very great price. Can’t wait for some auctions at the Farmville Market soon. P.S. love farmvillefreak!!!!

I already have the porcupine and koi pond. I’d like the alpaca but not anything else. I’ll be passing on this mystery box all together as the odds of me getting the one item I would want aren’t good.
The invisible cat is very nice. He’s invisible except for the smile and sometimes becomes totally visable as a blue cat. It’s definetly the best item of this update.
They need to release another animal mystery box with the alpaca, elephant and four other animals (new or retired).

Hi, I bought the box 5 times and got all 5 unique prizes. First the alpaca (so cute!….it does look like a baby tho), then the porcupine (he should spaz his needles out or something but doesn’t), then the fireplace (pretty), then the swing (a little disappointing) and then the koi pond which is huge! I am so happy I got no repeats. I’ve had a streak of luck this way with any of these mystery things. I am happy with it all, as I had none of it before. What I’m really unhappy about is the shrinking green house I bought for 34 FV!!!!!! omg. I don’t mind the little cottage shrinking but had I known they were gonna make that green one I bought so damn tiny, I wouldn’t have gotten it. What a damn rip. Why not leave THAT one bigger?? I don’t get it. I had to go and rearrange everything (decos) to suit the shrinkage. I see why they did that with the cottages to save a little room (why not just expand the farm??????????), but dang, to pay 34 FV and get a tiny little green cottage same size as the others is totally bull.
Very saddening. I hope they change it back but I doubt it. Real bummer. Sorry to get OT but had to vent. TFL

I’m interested to know, though, what the other items look like. Not the alpaca’s,as I already have those, nor the Koi pond.

omg i got fairly great luck. here are my pulls
1. porcupine – already had one. but a 2nd one is ok.
2. alpaca – awesome. i really wanted one. i originally quit here. then i figured out that the swing was wooden and had a duck. so i had to buy more.
3. koi pond – already had one. 2nd one kinda sucks… idk where id put it
4. a porch swing – i got what i came back for.

man i was soooo excited to see something new that i bought one without looking here first, but i got an alpaca, then in the second box the koi pond, i am soooooooo happy!!!! always was dissapointed that i missed the koi pond last time, so now i was more than happy to get it. i got the best stuff from those boxes by the first two tries, im gonna get the invisible cat too, than save my fv cash for the rest of the new stuff thats still comming soon.

Fortunately for my FarmCash bankroll I don’t see any of these as very interesting. The only mystery box I bought was the one where I had the chance for the Bed&Breakfast. What did I get? 20 Fuel Refills… to go with the 200+ tanks of fuel I already had! On the second try I got the Lake, so I decided to stop there.
I almost like the Koi pond (16 fv$ is a bit steep), but the animals and the porch swing are too much of a deterrant.

I already have a Koi Pond and a Zen Garden, both of which I love very much. The only thing I want of out all six items is the swing… Conclusion: Not worth the risk.
So their ploy is to sell the best items to players who’ve bought MB all along? I don’t like with this idea. Make new items. =/

I bought two of these boxes this morning, the first one had an Alpaca (not the best but i am always happy to get unique Animals), the second one was the Koipond!!! Yehhhaaa!! Thats what i wanted soooo badly, was dissapointed that i missed it last time and now i am so happy that i got it. The Alpaca is really cute. Now im gonna wait til the pets stuff comes so i can spend my fv cash on that, dont wanna waiste the reast for things that im not so dying to get. Like the swing, really but i still have the sheep swing fron last time so i will be happy with that. Good luck in getting good things, i think its worth it. Made me very happy this morning and i am in a gooooood moooooood!!!!!!!!!!!

@ ASH, I don’t remember a mystery box that had the potential for the B&B in it, unless you mean the one’s that said “You can buy this mystery box and get something from our market at real low prices” or something along those lines…is that the one you mean?…….’Cause I bought one of those for 16 bucks (actually someone sent me it) and I got the lake!
I WISH SO BAD we could send stuff off of our farm to others….I have 4 koi ponds that I just don’t have the room for and I don’t want to sell them, what a waste that would be. If only we could trade items like in YoVille. Now that would be cool.

Farmer Tilly…the cottages are smaller than they were yesterday…look totally lame next to some of the bigger house/buildings. If I had know that was going to happen, I never would have bought the shamrock caootage for so much FV cash.

I think the gold item behind the koi pond is the base of the golden fountain, one of the first mystery box chase items. I never got one but my daughter got one from a christmas present. My son got a Santa’s Grotto. I just got topiaries and brown cows
The odds of getting an alpaca are too low for me to try with this box. I have the other stuff already and don’t want extras. Roll on next week….

I just want a koi pond! Is that too much to ask for? Got 2 outdoor fireplaces, 2 porch swings, and a porcupine. Why can’t they program Farmville so you get something different for each mystery box you purchase? Oh…that’s right, people will keep spending money trying to get the items they want. Can’t wait for the neighbor market to take effect, so I can get a koi pond secondhand.

The least they could have done would have been to fix the dithering in the koi pond pixels before offering it again– clarity goes in & out on it. I did get an alpaca on the first try on this one, so no more for me. Don’t want to risk a zen garden for $16FV. Hoping & saving for a dog & more Alice items.

I had 19 FC left. Bought one, and out of all the things I got a ZEN GARDEN!!!
For f*** sake I already have 3 or 4 of those. Whose bright idea was it to put THAT in there? I would’ve been happy with any except THAT THING! Just my luck.

1st Box: Porcupine – havent got one and i chanced it so im happy

I resisted the past few mystery boxes as I didn’t see the prizes as worth it. With this one I figured I would try for an Allpaca. I dreadfully clicked on open and to my surprise… a zen garden. I desided that I wouldn’t go any further. I would love to see a new crate with all animals come as before but that will be the only crate I get. Other than this I will spend any cash on items that I know what I am getting. I sent an email to Zynga explaining that they should really put more thought into what they choose to include. Why fill these boxes with dumb (non special and I really don’t think this was ever in a crate before, just the eggs) that could serve as a deterant for people to buy more boxes. Vey sad on their part. If we are gonna spend our hard earned money at least make it worth it. I asked them if they would like to have someone waste their money…

I got a Porcupine on my first, a Zen Garden second, a Koi Pond on the third and an Alpaca on my 4th. I did not have ANY of these things before (but I have only been playin a month.) I just hope I can “trade” for the Maples and other trees and possibly animals down the road.

I’m not sure if someone mentioned it before,but couldn’t be a$$ed to read all the comments,but you could get a Waterfall also,which is pretty big.
On a little note,I think FV should give us a option of what (mystery) gifts which are available “AT A BLOODY DECENT PRICE!!!”. $4-$5 would be great,because I’m sure there are people out there,like me that find the pricing stupid.
$16 for a mystery gift that turns out to be a Zen garden which you could get through gold eggs is a frigin joke.
I’m not gonna spend my hard earned REAL money on something that you can’t even see on my farm (i.e. Zen garden,Porcupine, etc)
We can also get items (for buildings etc) for free from our neighbours.WHY try & charge us $1 for them…Totally ridiculous!!!
p.s. Start working on expanding farms Zynga to a decent size if you wanna keep adding all these new & sometimes annoying puny items.

My Fiance rarely buys FC, but he plays FV with our 6 year old son and he wanted the new chest. They were both PO’d big time when they got a Zen Garden. They had about 10 of them, most of which they’ve sold from Golden Eggs. I think it was crappy FV put that in the chest for 16 FC when most people have won multiple Zen Gardens from eggs.

Very interesting… It seems like the Zen Garden isn’t quite creating Zen for the gamer – in fact, it seems to be having the opposite effect!
I really like the odd and rare animals…especially since you can harvest them…so I tried a couple of crates and got a swing and an outdoor fireplace. Yeah, I was disappointed.

I broke down and bought one. I really was going to pass because I didn’t want to gamble and get the zen garden (when I already have like 6 that I got in golden eggs) nevertheless, I got the porch swing, I like it, but other than the zen garden, it’s the thing I wanted the least. So, I gambled again, and got the porcupine, which is the thing I wanted the most!! So I’m pretty happy. I don’t hate the swing and I LOVE the porcupine! I’d like the koi pond, but I’m not taking the risk of getting the zen garden or another swing or porcupine. I’m content with my winnings.

Here’s the deal. I wanted the Koi Pond so I thought I would give it a try not expecting it in the 1st attempt. After 10 boxes…160 FV and about $25.00 I had 3 Duck swings( Super Lame!)..2 Zen Gardens WTH! 3 Alpaca’s Whatever…a Fireplace sort of cool and a Porcupine..I’ll take it although Overpriced but no Koi pond. What’s with duplicating things until you have at least 1 of everything available. Anyway 2 of my good neighbours felt so bad for me spending so much FV and getting a bunch of nothing that they each bought me a Mystery Box…..another Alpaca and Fireplace…Whoopee. so after all of that still No Koi Pond. That is the last MB I will be buying!!!!!

What did I get…another Fireplace and Alpaca. Now I have 4 Alpaca’s. WTH! Still no Koi Pond and no FV left to try again….not that I would..now or ever again! Very Disappointing Gifts in the latest Mystery box. Was hoping for a Koi Pond but after spending 160FV and about $25.00 I had 10 gifts I didn’t want and No Koi Pond. Ok, why are Zynga making jokes with their fateful players – the ones that PAY? Zen Garden, a thing 90% of us won from eggs FREE, would never count towards anyone’s “BEST of mystery”, why are they irritating players on purpose? Everytime they do this: put aout a new mystery box loaded with 2 or 3 good items and 2 or 3 which are complete crap, why don’t they just put 5 good things in the mystery box? Otherwise is just purposely annoying people.

The answer to this and all future questions as to why FB does something is “MONEY”!! It is to their advantage to have something less desirable in every box because if you get something bad you will want to buy another box. I also believe, for the same reason, that trading will never happen because again, if you get something you don’t want, instead of buying another box you could go trade it instead of buying more boxes until you get what you wanted and that will mean that they lose money…. and losing money does not make them happy, lol
