Mine froze up too. I see everybody else on my news feed got their level up. I didn’t adjust anything, just got nothing after accepting to see the ball drop. Up & down it went for 10 minutes! Not fair… Congrats to all who got it though!

I never set my clock or anything, I never got a level up period
, I never even got a message saying that the ball will drop. I logged in nothing happened, i stored the ball and put it back it would say the message nothing happening, I am so mad, I’ll see what will happen tomorrow, if not I am quitting farmville, I had 200 gifts in my tree and I get no mystery boxes at all, while others got tons and now I don’t get the level up….. not fair

*PLEASE READ
If your having problems, (re)purchase the New years Globe (if you don’t have it already) and place it in your storage (barn or shed) then bring it back out. This will make it pop back up and then press accept to finally get your level up bonus. (Do this at your own risk, I found out this method and it worked for me)
Good Lucky, Happy Farming and Happy New Years!
**This is a trick you can use, if your close to leveling up, level up using the soybean trick. Purchase soybeans and plow, and this will give you 3 xp for45 points a ratio of 1 xp for each 15 points you spend. After reaching to the next level immediately take your New Years Ball and accept thus leveling up.

yeah my computer froze up too all my friends and family got a level up not me i am so mad now everybody is beating me at least now i know it wasnt only me it has happenend to others as well they better get this fixed foe us who didnt get a level up

Try resigning up. It didn’t work for me, it kept saying “the ball’s about to drop. Let’s take a look!” and then it froze and didn’t work. I signed out of my account than resigned in, put the ball in my storage and took it out. it gave me the message again and then it got all darker around the rest of my farm and the ball dropped. then it gave me the level up. hoped this helped!

same here…i had 4k xp left for leveling up and when i did i tried to lvl up sing the ball…but doesnt show uo anything…i had another account for playing FV anf in tht 1 i just stored it in my shed and took it out and lvld up…but in the other 1 i still cudnt

mine didnt work, but a famville neighbour walked me thru it thru IM… it will work, u just may need to do it many times.. store it, go to fv home page, but leave farm window up, go back to yr farm, unstore, wait a minute before clicking accept ball drop sign.. u will know it has worked by farm getting darker.. if it doesnt, try again….oh, what ever points u had before levelling up go towrds new points after free level up.. which is cool

okay this is what i did finally got it to work put your ball in storage thin place it on your farm when it pops up that your new years ball is fixing to drop DO NOT HIT ACCEPT WAIT AT LEAST 5 MIN LET THAT POP UP STAY ON YOUR COMPUTER FOR AWHILE THEN HIT ACCEPT I KEPT HITTING ACCEPT RIGHT AWAY AND MY COPUTER KEPT FREEZING UP SO WAIT AWHILE GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO HAVENT GOT A LEVEL UP I WAS SO FRUSTERATED IT TOOK ME 3HRS TO FIGURE IT OUT

just adjust your computer date on january 1 and store it in your barn or tool shed and then put it in your farm and poof you get the free level up hope this help hehehe

I love the level up and can’t wait for free fuel week – my farm is mostly planting right now since I’m close to having enough for my villa. I plan to plant til I drop next week! My fantasy is that the turbo tractor will have unlimited fuel – I’d pay big bucks for that! Hey, I can dream, can’t I??

if ur farmville freezes and u didnt not get a lv up just store it it ur barn or whtever then take it bak out and put it in ur farm u will get the lv up

Dear friends,follow the below process if u din’t get a level up!
1)store ur n.y.ball(u need a barn or tool shed)
2)put the ball back in place
3)message will appear as ‘new years ball is going to drop’ wait for 2 min and then press ‘ok’
4)Ur farm will darken for 10secs(otherwise repeat the process) and u will receive a level up!:)

Sorry I would not purchase another tree at this point. I can’t believe that Zynga will not address it. Some of my friends had this problem. But they put the existing tree in storage. refreshed. then took it out of storage. the ball then dropped and they lev up. I can’t believe you are telling people to purchase another tree this soon.

ok, I had trouble at first…finally I put my ball in storage, took it out and then it gave me my level up, hope this helps and works for some of you that have lost your freebie!

Yea, just another RIPOFF from Zynga. I never leveled up and then I sold the malfunctiond piece of garbage since they refuse to release the 24X24 plot. Where do they expect us to put all the crap. I was a die hard player and I am getting over it fast. The Gold gift box was yet ANOTHER ripoff! Tired of all of it!

I had the pop up right after mindnight then a lonely pinguin showed up
Game was frozen
I checked Zynga forums tday morning and I tried all the tricks:
- moved the ball to storage
- toggle off
- an other computer
- different browsers
- I sold a lot of animals ( I had a lot on my farm…..)
Nothing nothing nothing

But I am almost give up…just would like to know if I cannot use the ball the free fuel won t be applicable for me????
If I get the free fuel I do not care anymore w level up
Not fair but I can survive
so do you know anything about free fuel thingy?

Calling it a “rip off” isn’t really accurate. No one paid for the level up lol Yes, some people may have bought another ball for 10,000 coins but it wasn’t real money…
Calm down guys. Whenever new things are released there are bugs. Go to the Zynga Official Forums and submit a ticket and I am sure you will get your XP.

ok anyone who did not get their ball to drop. heres how i fixed mine
put your ball in storage….log out.
log back in and take the ball out of storage. place it on your farm.
a screen will pop up saying the ball is about to drop…..let it sit there a second giving it time to settle. Click accept…and wait….it may be a whole minute….if it is going to work properly the screen will darken just a little….the ball will glimmer and go down the pole…and you will get your level up.
If this does not work the first time do it again….it took 6 tries for my account and 9 for my daughters…but it did work. My son’s worked on the first try so we did know what to look for.
Don’t sell your ball!!!!! Just put it in storage. If you dont have any storage i dont know what to tell you to fix it. But, it is supposed to go when you log in so if you log out off facebook and back in it may prompt it again.

I unwrapped a new year ball from one of my present but then sold it. My kid then told me that new year ball gives u a free level up so i went to the market and bought one for 10K and wohooooo!!! got a free level up. Thanks heaps:)

Well im sure going to use mine to plow and plant the 2hour and 4 hour crops, they are the hardest to get the mastery sign for. Btw I have 15 mastery crops (3 stars). anyone have them all? Oh and pray for fuel at 3am on the 4th
