    lookin good costa! :P

  2. jean Says:

what if you already planted grapes before you joined the co-op. does the harvest still count towards the co-op if the seeds weren’t accounted for when planting?

  3. Chris Says:

Did all Co-Op Members get the truck ? or just the one who started it ?

  4. Brad Says:

Be nice if they let us create job or join a job nothing since it started. Just planted PattyPan Squash nothing came up………..Bout Co-op Urrrgggggggg

Could i please have a little help here.
On my account it says ‘Looks like you dont have any jobs available to start or join now… ‘ and on a family members account the button does not come up at all, this account is on level 14 and the delete button is still where it was before.

How can i get both of these glitches fixed and which is the ‘glitch’ that zynga refers to when saying that it isnt working. my account or my family members account?

  11. jean Says:

    @mrBean,
one must be at level 20, to co-op.

  12. dexter Says:

    @MrBean
At least level 20 is needed to access Co-Op Farming.

On my account I can’t view and start job, just like you. Have to wait for the update…

  14. Glenn Says:

Thanks all for answering most of my questions already. Does anyone know if you can be on more than one co-op at a time?

  15. Matias Says:

If u get a silver or a bronze medal do u still get a reward??

  16. fvfreak Says:

how can i do a job?! i have been trying to figure this out all day help pleasee

  17. JAdd2000 Says:

    GO COSTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! conratzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!

  18. Sarah Says:

All my co-op members planted and harvested in plenty of time to get gold, except one. For 5 hours, I was constantly trying to contact the person who had fully grown crops and was not harvesting them, but she never did. Now we all have to settle for silver by replanting and waiting. I think this system is flawed, since you can’t kick out or block people who don’t contribute.

Also, we will be able to get silver without her help, but if she harvests before we do she will still get credit for silver when she messed up our chance for gold. Not fair. I think there needs to be a way to separate people based on if they are casually co-op farming or really trying for the gold.

  19. GotEggs Says:

evan if you fail the job, do you still get the mail truck?

  20. Loyal2theRoyals Says:

Does everyone get the XP and coins shown? Or is it split evenly between the members?

  21. LotsaLots Says:

I got saddled with neighbors who don’t plant the designated crop which in my case is pumpkins. I have over 543 lots on my farm alone. I made the mistake of starting a co-op which folks flocked to like honey. Tip: Don’t start a co-op but join another one in progress (only after checking their farm first to see how many lots they have) before joining it. Live and learn

  22. Muffy Says:

Sarah, this thing is gonna create enemies!

  23. Saint Says:

Crops planted before accepting a co-op do not count towards the co-op goal when you harvest them.

  24. Sallie Says:

I did my job and planted, the job is all done and we finished with silver but no statue. Shouldn’t it be in our gift box? Also, once I planted and harvested I was able to join up with a new group even though the others still had not harvested. I did it on one account and now I can’t figure out how I did it for my other account. Did they take that options away?

  25. Sallie Says:

Oh, sorry..one more questions. Do you know if you join a group where you need grapes and you already have a crop going can you still join and have the harvest count for the co-op?

  26. Ryan Says:

Sallie: Yes – I just verified this myself. I joined one job and planted pumpkins – and they registered as being seeded on the job info. But I noticed a different friend (who has hundreds of neighbours) also started the same job so I decided to switch and go to that one. The pumpkins I already had planted didn’t appear as seeded in the job info, but when I harvested them, they did count toward the harvested total. :)

  27. Saint Says:

Do you still get the usual coins/exp for harvesting crops for the co-op?

  28. Stef Says:

    My question:
Do you have to have both seeded + harvested totals in order to get the gold? Or is it harvested that matters more?

Can you pre-seed a crop, wait until 5 minutes before its harvestable, start a job, and have that count as well?

    Thanks for the help!

  29. Pedro Says:

When I click on ‘join’, it tells me that the job is full. How many neighbors can join a job at once? Three, Five? Thanks for the info!

  30. Vanilla Says:

I just harvested the co-op grapes. It counted them when I planted but it didn’t count them when I harvested. That means the co-op will be short of 268 grapes. I have decided NOT to participate in any other co-ops. There are enough headaches in this game, I don’t need another on.

  31. Sarah Says:

    Muffy,
I know. The other people co-op farming with me were really riding me to contact this person, since I am neighbors with her and none of them were. I couldn’t help but be frustrated that she ended up ruining our chances, too.

  32. ooocarniegirlooo Says:

I am loving the mail truck!! The grape sheep to me is a rip off (one sheep?come onlol)
The chef statue I dont like but I am VERY interested in getting a closer look at the morning glory statue ! It kinda looked pretty – Not interested in the xp or coins on any of them to me those were kinda lame lol

  33. dsunny Says:

what are the prizes for silver and bronze? just xp and coins? i have a few people on my co-op that are not helping…kinda makes me want to throw the whole things so they don’t get sh**…

  34. Santhosh Says:

really dumb feature from farmville. also the reward is too cheap

  35. Sage Says:

I just recieved the gold metal for a job, but someone has not helped at all. that pissed me off. lame

  36. Pukeko Says:

I too had a bad run with co-op, the person who i joined did not plant the pumpkins-I spent ages doing it and no reward?? frustrating but a lesson will learnt.
Next time I will check out their farm first.

  37. Khan Says:

Good to see some farming stuff coming out but where are the new crops, i want to grow spinach and mushrooms and garlic and cucumber and herbs like thyme, mint, rosemary, sage, oregano, cilantro, basel. As there any chance we will get to produce honey from honey bees as we already grow flowers and fruits. Farmville has become animalville and building ville or decorativeville

  38. tina bellis Says:

hi all i join a job after waiting so long for fv to sort it out made the mistake of joining someone with not many crops on farm she is a friend so cant quit and i will not get the giold now as i did put out help me in my job but i didnt get any responce well p,,,,,d off with this co op i think u need to agree with a few to help first as i planted 545 patty pan 16 hours to go 24hrs 20 mins time deadline and i have no chance now
so dont know if i will do another as i really wanted the truck and it took fv day and half to sort it out so lost out on one harvest aso everyone make sure u see how many u can plant and make sure u get a few friends that will defo help out

  39. Trish Says:

Okay, so I started a job and I noticed that few people on the job did not plant any crops. My question is, do people who do not plant the designated crop get rewarded the same as those who do plant? What’s stopping me from joining other jobs, do absolutely nothing, and still be rewarded?

Please explain this because it does not seem fair to me at all for people to be rewarded for joining but not participating.

  40. EM Says:

Wow! Seriously people I can understand it is irritating to have people bail out and all. But to see people complain about losing out on ONE WHOLE crop as if it is the end of the world is just too much. Come on people … big deal. Put up another.

It isn’t like you have to actually go down in the dirt and do actual ploughing. And it isn’t like the game’s ending tomorrow and you will never get the chance to plant another crop.

This is the basic way of making sure you get the gold. Talk to people beforehand. Ask who will chip in and how much and then start the job and only post to those people. This way you are assured that the ones who will get you the gold are coming in. And from next time onwards you will have a group of people you know are interested and will plant. So there you go – easy formula.

I already got the truck and am on my way to getting the sheep. The FV monument is next and all because I have found my group using the above formula.

  41. sirmata Says:

how does it work??? damn it!!!
i don’t even how to get a jod????

  42. Jeremy Says:

The FV Monument is ttalllll! haha its like the height of the horse stable but only like the size of a plot. I really thought it was gonna be smaller! haha now idk where to put it.. now i’m doing pumpkins. I barely got the jobs yesterday and started fast. this is pretty cool and easy so idk why people are complaining?

  43. Sallie Says:

I came up with what might help. Put the word out on what you are going to start your co-op with. Say you want grapes. START your crop and pass the word to others you are doing the co-op in 24 hours so get the plots started. Then in 24 hour, just before you are going to harvest, start the co-op.

This way you saved 24 hours and you can count the harvested grapes first. Then when you go to plant the next set your count for planting will count. Kind of in reverse. The key is you get to count the first set of grapes in your co-op and didn’t lose the 24 hours it took to grow.

I also make the mistake of jumping on to help the first co-op I found. I was ready to plant in an hour after I joined. What I didn’t know is the person who started the co-op didn’t even have the farm ready. He was still growing 2 day flowers and had a day to go.

It taught me to look at their farms and see if they are ready to go before joining.

  44. AE Says:

One big problem with co-op farming is people who join but never plant the crops. They’re just taking up space. Co-op farming is very frustrating because of lazy people.

  45. aga Says:

Sh*t sh*t is this!!!!!!!!!!! I can not Sell or posten Collectables or postend all.
I can not posted recruite job nothing NOW I HATE FARMVILLE this is a **** .
    I hate it ….

  46. Ownduh Says:

Tang inang yan! Ako lang tanim ng tanim! Mga hindut kayong mga leechers kayo! Puro kayo free ride! ETO KAYO: ..I..

  47. Anna Says:

i like the co-op idea, it’s just that i wish there’s some fv cash involve for the prizes rather than just xp points and farm coins because people (like me) that’s already on level 70 doesn’t care much about xp points and farm coins anymore.

they don’t need to give fv cash to all participants, it can be just for the co-op starter or for the MVP.

1 or 2 fv cash is not too much. i’ll be very happy with that specially that i don’t get any fv cash anymore since i hit level 70.

    just a thought. ^_^

  48. Never2late Says:

I have a question. If your co-op has seeded all plots and you are waiting to harvest can you as an individual, once you have harvested, re-plant seeds and harvest them when they are done to count to the total? I ask because we would of had gold if the lazy farmers on my co-op had harvested in time!

  49. kimm Says:

Does anyone know what the maximum number of people is to be in the Co-Op job at one time.. Is it 10?

  50. PumpkinLover Says:

I got grape sheep and mail truck. I started the co-ops, but i would only be able to plant in 2 hours time. By the time i could plant, my co-op members already planted all.
I even had 4 members who didnt plant (like me). Well, we all got the sheep, mail truck & xp & coins.

I think the max is 10 people per co-op. & it only takes 4 or 5 people with 300-500plots to complete. Very easy xp. 1 day gets about 1000xp just by planting grapes.

Zynga made this a very easy achievement. If you cant get the gold medal, ask yourself a question: Do you recruit the right members? Oh, by the way, i informed my few active members first before starting the co-op. Some ppl just jumped on the band-wagon. Cant complaint much since i also didnt plant any. hahahaha.

  51. wishin4gardenias Says:

Does anyone know how the achievements work? How many for each blue ribbon?….and also, for the MVP award, its the one that contributes the most…but does it matter if it has to be on a co-op that won gold…or any co-op, even those that dont get a ribbon? Thanks everyone!

  52. jacob Says:

there should be a place where people who want to get the Gold and have enough plots to help out can put their names so that other dedicated people, like me, can add them. lol noo creepers

  53. SuzieO Says:

Don’t forget that sometimes real life gets in the way of farming so it isn’t always just laziness. Give people a break please. They might have had an emergency or perhaps they are fighting with their spouse…. in cases like this people tend to forget about farmville.

  54. ooocarniegirlooo Says:

exactly it was a holiday weekend… and many people are still having glitches with the whole system … so yeah probably best to put the word out that you are gonna try for such and such in so many hours…. etc etc

  55. Anna Says:

I have a neighbour who’s currenlty listed as a member of two co-ops. How is that possible??

  56. Sandy Says:

There is always going to be something that holds a team up…. Give a thought for those Commonwealth & Olympic teams.. it’s a group effort..but when one fails it is an all group failure, and a global failure… let’s not think we are any where near that category!
Confession time… I forgot to join the ranks did not join the group … planted the entire farm… gave two seconds thought.. OH CRAP!!!!… had to click on each individual crop.. delete them , plough & re-plant…. sooo much wasted time…could have cost us gold…but didn’t!!! Think about the people that give their time…some of us make HUGE mistakes… and try so hard to rectify the situation… and as you may know … those mistakes can cost! embrace your neighbour , be an adult… move on, !!!!!

  57. Diesel24 Says:

I just found out this girl on my team is out of town she should of told me before she joined the crop now am down to 12min and cant do a damn thing tried to remove her from Facebook but yet she is still on my job co-op not happy and I cant start another job or join a group till this job is done and 2 other members quit the job cause i told them whats the point getting a silver you get nothing and their already at level 70…. I think the person that starts the Group should be able to kick delete boot or Fire that person out of the group…

  58. Pichayapa Says:

This is wonder to me! five of us doing the co-op and I foun d out that two of the co-op did not grow even one grape. one do not grow anything at all and other one grow flower……not even one grape……. my neighbors and I have to mess up our farm to have more room to planted….seeds ………..the other two just click join……and will get the reward when finish I do not want to seem selfish but it does not seem fair………
I realize that may be they do not understand that they need to help out with the task too. at lest grow one grape ………I will be please……..

  59. Nogie Says:

Do people that join the co op, but do not plant or harvest any of the designated crop still get to share the wealth?

  60. Donna SF Says:

I’m not finding anything but I know you get the truck, sheep and chef but do you get anything from planting all the other crops or is it just the 3 things?

  61. Katie Says:

wow this thing is not thought through enough. I’ve started a job and few of us harvested and still waiting for another person to harvest and she has only 90 fields, oh not to mention 3-4 people who joined and even arent seeding the squash. this thing is gonna make me delete friends I swear xD they should make an option to delete people from the job who dont do anything..

  62. M Says:

I wish you could do more than one … I’m just waiting for people to harvest on the one I’m on, and I don’t really want to plant more just in case, ’cause if they don’t harvest on time, I’ll still have time to plant more for silver later. I’d rather join another one while I’m waiting and start planting for that one, but instead, I’m stuck waiting for the first one to finish.

  63. SuzieO Says:

We are still learning how to play this and what we need to do to harvest in time to get the gold. It’s silly to get upset or angry if you don’t make it the first time because you can take what you learned from it and do better the next time…. I believe anytime you get angry or start to blame friends/neighbors you are taking away some of the fun of playing for yourself.

I can’t harvest my grapes until late tonight and last night it said I had 2 days and some hours to obtain the gold but this morning it says only 10 hrs. Not sure if we can pull it off. Some of the people are not my friends so I can’t see who they are… just the first name. Many have not planted anything but I’m sure they just don’t understand. After I am finished with this one I will get together 3/4 people who I’m friends with and we will all plant at the same time and I’m sure it will all work out just fine. Btw, you can always quit a co-op and join another if you want. AND, if you do finish and get your prize and someone else in your group who didn’t participate gets it too…. so what?? Maybe it’s not fair but it doesn’t take anything away from you. It’s way better to concentrate on “fun” rather then complaining, although some people think complaining IS fun but not me, lol.

  64. Lenningrad Says:

All of u I want to yall to know i got ma mail truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! thnx my friends that help me to get the gold reward.and now im starting again in town greening im gonna plant and harvest morning glory!!!!thank u guyzzzz to reading my comment…plsss comment that who read this comment so i can comment again ty all!!!! BYE!!

  65. stacey Says:

Does anyone know …if you join a co-op, plant the seeds, harvest them, then quit the co-op, does that harvest still count for the co-op or does it go away?

  66. Atochabsh Says:

couple friends and I jumped on the band wagon as soon as we could with the grape job. And it was a lot of fun. We reached the quota planted no problem. And then waited eagerly to harvest. 4 of 5 of us that planted harvested right on time and were planning our next job when the 5th person did not harvest. That was when we found out that we could not join another job until the first was completed. This kind of ticked us all off because now we were being somewhat “held hostage” by the one person that did not harvest their crops as soon as they could. This then meant that the folks we had set up to do the second job could not plant anything until this one person finally harvested their crops to complete the job. Since we had no idea when they would harvest you could not plant in between crops. Now since its all new to everyone and thre were not rules to guide the first timers, there are going to be bumps in the road. And as someone mentioned; this could create enemies. But I do think that Farmville should let you join more then one job at a time providing you can plant X # of plots (pick a number). That way you don’t have people planting one plot and getting credit. Also a little forethought would be nice. If you cannot be available to harvest on time, then don’t join the job. Join a job that you can plant and harvest within your schedule.

  67. dave Says:

Why can only 2 people join the patty pan squash group(for me anyway) it is acutally impossible to get the reward!! 16hour crop and only 31 hours to do it in with 2 people a full plot of land i can only seed half of what is requried. meaning it is impossible!!

  68. Jacqueline Says:

This is a collectors nightmare. I guess they want people to not spend alot of farmville cash, because if we do we wont have enought spaces to grow stuff.

Let us store our expensive gifts so we can help the co-op…

PS WE ARE A BUNCH OF CRY BABIES. LOL

  69. Sallie Says:

Can someone who is NOT on your friend list join your co-op? I have a stranger joining my co-op who is not planting. Thoughts?

  70. Sallie Says:

Dave – I have 6 people on my patty pan co-op.

  71. Acoriana70 Says:

    Hi,
I am clicking co-ops to join a group, but after FV loads and it goes to the co-op page it says the job can not be found. These are actually neighbours of mine. It is not saying already has enough neighbours, it is just saying job can not be found.

    Thanks

  72. neesey Says:

When all seeds are planted and we have begun harvesting (albeit, some won’t be done until 11 tonight), can we still start another job while our first is waiting for harvest? Or would that cancel out all the work we’ve done on the first job?

  73. Tammy Says:

Hi I have an issue with the co-op farming I havent seen so far, I am able to received credit for seeding but not harvesting. Anyone know how to fix this?

  74. becky Says:

Ugh, this happened to me twice already, people joining so that they just get the reward but purposely grow nothing and I can see it bc one neighbor actually JUST started growing artichokes and joined our job anyway and another neighbor only had 20 plots and grew all of her own crap that wasn’t part of the job. Not fair. They should be make it an invitation only co-op farming, so I’d only invite reliable people.

  75. missy Says:

Neighbors should not be able to join a co-op if all seeding has already been completed because you are then obviously just waiting for the crops to harvest by the neighbors who actually contributed. I all of the sudden have neighbors joining my co-op at the last minute because they can see that its 91% done, but yet they havent done a thing to contibute but will get the reward…thats just not right!!

  76. Sandy Says:

One of my neighbours joined my co-op… she accidentally planted all pumpkins instead of pattypan squash. it was a genuine mistake… as it was her first co-op game she didn’t know to look for the progress tool bar that let’s you know how your cropping tally is going.

Another member planted her entire farm out with grapes and felt very proud of herself… not realising that she hadn’t actually joined our co-op before planting!

People do make genuine mistakes… be kind & thoughtful!

The neighbour who planted all the pumpkins…showed up with a zero on our co-op of course… I had to explain to my team about her genuine errror… we needed crops so we all set about storing houses and planting… chatting between ourselves the entire time… we reached our goal… and we did get GOLD!

We are a tiny team of seven… 2 successful attempts at co-op challenges and we have achieved the 2 GOLD REWARDS!!!

  77. MsGreenCrop Says:

I’ve had people join & not contribute. U can post a message to their wall via Co-op.

Looking at all comments, maybe Co-op farming could be improved by:

    i) being able to invite people to join your co-op job
ii) being able to see how many plots friends have seeded (we can see how many they’ve harvested)
iii) ability to remove farmers who aren’t active in the co-op

I’m sure there are other sugesstions too, but that’s a start.

  78. Em Says:

From what I have seen you can seed before you join or start a co-op and it counts when you harvest. So for now you can start planting for the next co-op while waiting for the current one to finish if you have already harvested.

If this is a bug, it is one I wish they don’t fix LOL.

Changes that I would like to see in the co-op
    1. More Jobs

    2. Option to boot people off by the person who started the job if they have not seeded a minimum number – say, at least a 100 plots. The option shouldn’t just be there or the power can be abused. Imagine being kicked off if you planted your whole farm with the co-op plant. Won’t be fun.

    3. Option to join at least two co-ops. Some people have huge farms filled with plots and can manage two co-ops at the same time. This will also help those who have already harvested the crop for one co-op.

    4. Better prizes, more XP and coins or better still some FV Cash prizes to sweeten the deal.

    5. Show how many plots a co-op member has seeded so you do not have to go to their farm to check.

I see the point someone made up there that co-op farming encourages ugly farms as people make more space for planting and less for other stuff.

But you can have both. I have lots of pretty stuff at my farm and yah I love staring at it LOL and I have about 200 plots as opposed to 300-400 that many have.

But even with 7 people with 200 plots each you can easily make gold. Just find the right 7 people that is all.

On a side note, I do not get ugly farms. What is the point of leveling up, earning FV cash, XP, coins when you are not going to buy stuff and decorate your farm nicely.

Another point I have is if you are already getting your gold with say 5-7 people and have space for some, why not be nice and give something to a few of your friends/neighbours for free. It isn’t costing you anything, it is not taking anything away from you.

It is not right for them to join with that perspective, but if you got the space, why not invite people in. They might do the same for you next time.

Wow! that was a long one.

  79. Dusky Says:

Can someone tell me if I get silver, is it possible to do the job again and aim for gold??? Or did we blow it? :(

  80. Nody Says:

    @ Dusky:
you can do the job again to aim for gold.

  81. Bruno Says:

I have started by the third time one co-op but only in the first one I got the job reward although in all of them I was the MVP. Why is this happening? Cannot understand

  82. LotsaLots Says:

Don’t plant crops untill you have joined the co-op first because unlike some others have mentioned above they DO NOT count! In addition don’t ASSUME that because you have the all the required lots that are seeded that your neighbor will harvest them in time for the gold. Keep planting until the co-op finishes. Never presume that your neighbor will harvest their crops in time.

  83. Farmer A Says:

You only get the prize if you get gold. I got silver & it was just the XP and coins, and YES, those that do NOTHING get the prize too.

I think people are accidentally joining co-ops because on the news feedthe “join co-op” is in the same place “find a collectible”, “get fuel” or “get eggs” is at, I think people get in click autopilot.

It’s the same old story- started a co-op, some people did nothing, one didn’t harvest in time to get us the gold, etc. Once we were 82% finished with the maximum # of seeds planted between 5 of us, 5 more people joined, and planted, which doesn’t do any good. We got the silver.

I immediately started another one, same seed, and when I was seeding, realized I had forgotten to harvest one plot. It counted! It was then I looked here and realized other people were able to start a co-op with their farm ready to harvest, and they got credit. Since that’s how it went for me, I contacted those 5 last- minute people from the first co-op that got credit for participating in it when they didn’t, who now had farms full of pattypan squash, and asked them to join my new co-op before harvesting. One of them could join but their harvested crops didn’t count, the other 4 couldn’t even join! (And there are only 4 people in it right now.) One of the 4 has a huge farm, had joined & seeded, & none of the seeds counted. We would have for sure had the gold.

Hopefully they’ll get some kinks ironed out.

It has definitely started a new obsession for me. I used tomot pay any attention to when people harvest, how quick they get to it, what they are planting. Now I’m stalking everyone’s farms! At least I fertilize & feed chickens while I’m there. :)

Is anyone else having similar problems? I’m especially curious about if your initial harvest is registering/”counting”, or if the harvests only count for those you seeded after joining the co-op. I don’t know why that one little plot counted for me!

    Well,

I’ve done 2 of these just to check them out and I am “as I put” DONE with this crap.

What a waiste of time for silly prizes.

That and you have to put up with deadbeat’s who join and never finish and you have NO control over who does what.

You end up doing more than your share and they get equal reward.

    FORGET IT.

Stupid Idea but I’m sure somebody will love doing 3 times the work and helping deadbeats reap the rewards.

Let me know when your going to start one. I want to be a Deadbeat. LMAO

I have 10-12 people who regularly participate in my co-ops. We all meet online in the evening & chat about what we want to plant. Once I start a job up, we all plant within 15-20 minutes or so. We also overplant, so if someone is sick or can’t show up we can still get our gold.

Regarding pre-planting – We have tried this and it actually can throw your counters off making it difficult for us to figure out what was going on (one time it actually deducted from plots harvested).

We have found that by 1) waiting until the job starts, 2) synchronizing planting within an hour and 3) over-planting, we have achieved a gold on every job we have attempted (7 so far which included the first two where we made “mistakes” while we were trying to figure out how it worked!)

We aren’t too concerned about who planted how much. We usually can plant the seeding requirement within 10 minutes – whoever gets a chance to plant first does as much as they can or want to and we hold out and chip more in if someone else runs short. If someone outside of our core group joins late & does “nothing” to get a prize, doesn’t really matter to us – Kinda works like real life! LOL!

Bottom line- The best part is the cooperative nature of it. Most of us sell our prizes because we already have fully decorated farms & don’t have room for every mini-pagodas or mail truck that comes our way… . We have a BLAST planning , figuring out problems, & helping each other out.

If cooperation, problem solving, working together, and kindness is not your thing, DON’T do a co-op!

    One Helpful Suggestion:

Sometimes people cannot help not contributing. Either it was an accidental click to join, or something happened and they could not finish their harvest in time.

But when you notice someone who joins, contributes nothing, AND COMMUNICATES NOTHING (ie. they are not earnest and they don’t have an excuse; they just wanted a freebee ride for the prize):

From thereon out, I would make sure to edit them out of being able to see “Come Join My Co-Op” messages. (Before you publish that message, click the Lock Icon, and specify to hide it from … the name/s of whoever has been joining just to win a prize without contributing anything.)

It won’t stop them from finding your game in the co-op list; you’ll have to drop them as a neighbor for that. But at least you will limit the “mistake” joiners that click accidentally… and it won’t advertise what you are doing… so doing this could help a little.

It’s awful, the moochers are ripping off the neighbors that ARE hard-working. The whole meaning of a co-op in real life is “cooperative”… ie. people come together and work hard together and share the results together. No one gets a free ride in a real co-op.

There are also times when a prize is NOT won BECAUSE of lazy workers. When true co-op workers were unable to join because someone lazy parked their car and wasted space being unproductive.

Cheers to all active co-op players!

I hope Zynga determines a way to block abusers from taking advantage of the co-op. I’d love to see a window pop up that says:

“Woah there, Little Buddy! You’ve now been in 3 co-ops without harvesting a single plot! Perhaps you should practice to get your farming skills up a bit first, with this new mini co-opportunity!”

And guess what. The mini co-op has half the points and coins, and the only members in that pool are other jerks that have abused the co-op feature to get a free ride.

Then they would have to work together and succeed in 3 tasks with other lazy, penalized folks, before being able to click on the main one again.

That’s my idea! Feel free to take it to Zynga.

    ===============

    true dat!

you MUST join or start a coop BEFORE seeding otherwise those will not count.

yes, only get people who are dedicated to get the gold to join your coop. talk and arrange with them when to join so other freeloaders can’t join because if they join and plant 1 plot only but the group gets the gold and reward, then she or will get it too. only the bonus XP and coins are distributed according to the percentage of contribution. the usual prize, XP and coins are given the same amount to everyone.

and FV should really give us the ability to boot someone from our coop!!!!!

what are the prizes so far?

    mail truck
    pagoda
school bus plow (plow 9 plots at a time)
    FV statue
    morning glory statue

    what else????

prizes are so lame so far

and FV should have other things related to a farm not stupid stuff like hot air balloon, langur monkey, sari line and ridiculous animals like penguin. wtf? better a prairie dog or even snakes. lol!

  88. TerrTerr Says:

After you join a co-op, seeded, planted and harvested. If you quit before it is completed, Do your friends still get the credit for your work done.

I did alot of work and do not care about the gold prize and i want to start my own project and not wait till the others finish, but i dont want to mess them up either…..

  89. Sharon Lupton Says:

I want to join a job with my sister, who is both my FB friend and my FV neighbor. But we cannot see each other’s co-op jobs. She starts one but I can’t see it, or I start one and she can’t. Does anyone have any ideas? I e-mailed Zynga and they suggested clearing my cache and flash and resinstalling FV, all of which I have done. No change. I am so frustrated, as we very much want to co-op together.

  90. Sandy Says:

I would like to do the berry challenge next… but want to be prepared in advance…
how many of each berry do we have to plant?

    can somebody tell me asap?

  91. Kristi Deming Says:

Patty-pan hell….I can plant and harvest the whole thing alone…only it cuts me short on the last harvest. (I mean, I was 267 short). Other jobs get 4 days, we get 3. So as I’m reading these posts, I’m seeing places where people are stating they had their crops pre-planted and that once they accepted a co-op, they harvested and it counted towards that job? Has this happened for anyone else? I’d like to know before it comes time to harvest my fields again…

  92. Jessica Rodz Says:

Hi, I see a lot of unaswered questions here LOL!

1- If any neigbors joint your co-op and they dont work on it, they will receive the same prize or bonus as the other that really work. (seems unfair).

2- If you try to join a neighbors co-op and the job didnt appear you need to clean your cache and try latter in a few hours. (like we have the time to wait).

3- If you plant for one co-op and change to another, that seeded spots will not count for the new co-op that you join.

4- If you have crops to harvest (grapes) and join a co-op, dont expect the game to count those (grapes) that are ready. Because the game counts fist the seeded and then the harvests, if you seeded 30 and harvested 50, the co-op will only count 30.

I hope this can help you farmers :-)

  93. Alesia Says:

I dont think it’s fair for those who didn’t plant the related harvest for the co-op and yet they get the prize. Especially if you get gold. Me and my friends, planned so hard and towards the end some freeloaders decided to join the co-op.. and they didn’t even plant according to the job task, just some random harvest. Urgh

  94. Erin Says:

Okay, I just have one question. If someone joins a co-op but doesn’t plant or harvest anything, do they still collect the XP and coins?

  95. Susie Says:

Still waiting on an answer to a question that has been asked twice…
If I drop out of a co-op after I’ve seeded and harvested, but before the co-op is finished, will THEY still get credit for what I’ve harvested.
Don’t care if I get the co-op credit, just don’t want to screw the others that are still trying to get a prize.

  96. FarmGoddess Says:

@ Susie, Yes, they will still get credit.

  97. mario Says:

joined coop ,seedeed and harvested crop , job not completed yet,if ill quit the job and join again same job before harvesting can i stll have the reward?

  98. darin Says:

my son deleted some of the crops from a coop we were doing. What are the ramifications?

  99. AJ Says:

Question…do you get a reward if you have joined a co-op and not seeded or harvested any crops?

  100. cindy Says:

I started and I planted a crop and just before I harvested to get the gold someone joined but didn’t plant anything. We got the gold anyway while I was waiting for the award star and gift my computer stated that my site was out of sync. When I restarted fv again I lost everything. No credit, no gold star and no reward. How can get credit for my work done. It was about 1 day and some mins to get the gold and I finished it about 45 min before time ran out. Also did the other person get the reward?
    Were is mine??????
