FarmVille & Mafia Wars Hot Rod Tractor: Official Zynga response
The Hot Rod Tractor exists, it is NOT fake!
We have been reporting on the Hot Rod Tractor for some time . The image that we provided yesterday was a screenshot from a FarmVille Freak user who was one of the lucky ones to have access to the Hot Rod Tractor.
For all the naysayers and nonbelievers, Zynga makes an official statement regarding the “rumored” Hot Rod Tractor that will combine Mafia Wars and FarmVille. Read statement from Zynga Forum moderator Lexilicious:
“This feature is currently only available to a small group of randomly selected users. Due to the nature of this release, we will continue to roll this feature out to 100% of users in the coming days.
Hot Rod Tractor:
Users at level 12 in Farmville can unlock the ability to purchase a Hot Rod Tractor that can plow up to 9 plots at a time. (3 x 3)
There are two ways you can acquire the new Hot Rod Tractor.
- You can purchase the Hot Rod Tractor for 55 Farm Cash from the Market.
- You can also visit Mafia Wars to unlock the option to purchase the tractor in Farmville for Coins.
Clicking the “Get This” button will give you the option to launch Mafia Wars. You will receive another pop-up informing you that you can unlock the Hot Rod Tractor by advancing to Level 10 in Mafia Wars.
Upon entering Mafia Wars, you will see the following pop-up:
FarmVille Limited Edition Hot Rod Tractor
After clicking the ‘Start Playing Mafia Wars Now’ button, you will be taken to the Mafia Wars jobs page and can begin playing Mafia Wars in order to reach level 10 and unlock the tractor.
Once you reach level 10 in Mafia Wars, you will receive the following popup:
FarmVille Hot Rod Tractor Congratulation Notice
Clicking ‘Play Farmville Now’ will return you to Farmville, and the Hot Rod Tractor (that can be purchased for coin) is unlocked in the Market.
Note: After completing the MW level requirement for the tractor, it may take up to thirty minutes for some users to be credited with the tractor in FV. “

Me and my brother where just on Farmville and we think we saw a few things to be released soon, in the free gift menu. One being a Dragonfly, a peace flag and a new tree. There was also a section at the bottom that said new peace collection of items now available. He did send me a Dragonfly but it said this item was a limited item. Sorry no screenshots

This is unrelated, but I just logged into FarmVille and in the gifts section there was a Peace Sign Flag, a “Collectable” dragonfly, and some new tree (can’t remember the name, started with a d). However, now I went back and these items aren’t there any more. They must be upcoming releases. Hadn’t heard about these before, so just letting you know. Unfortunately, didn’t get a screen capture.

did anybody else get the “FV is enhanced” notice? after reloading i saw something about collectible items and special peace-themed items,also a notice about the new seeds for haiti. but after relaoding again, they dissappeard..

I don’t even use a tractor to plow, but I now find myself signing up for a mafia wars account just to get the new item in farmville.

People. Read the damned Zynga notification! They said that it’s only released to random select farmers for now. i.e. they are still testing to see if the cross-promotion between games is working. If you don’t have it yet, then it just means that you’re gonna have to wait like the rest of us!
Just for kicks, who ISN’T playing MW atm but is seriously considering it just to get the Hot Rod Tractor?

Got the notice last night. played MW for 10-15 min to get to level 7. Waited the rest of the day, played for maybe another 5 min twice more in the day, got to level 10.
Went to my farm, bought the tractor. It’s sitting there right now.
I don’t know how to get a link to my farm other than a “fertilize me” one, so here it is. Feel free to go look at it.

Oh, also, Zynga fixed the manure from dairy farm thing, now you can fertilize 10 plots. That’s what that link is.

It says i can buy the HOTROD TRACTOR. so i went in to mafia wars and played till i was lvl 10.. well nothing it’s still locked. i think it’s just an early look. or something maybe still working on it. idk. Tips?

Nice they want you to spend FarmCash without playing Mafia Wars but yet if you want it with paying coin you HAVE TO play Mafia Wars.
Why call it a Mafia Wars tractor.

just go to mafia wars, and click the farmville link under my zynga games in the top left corner of the mafia wars screen. that’ll unlock it. love my hot rod tractor =]

I don’t get it. All it does is plow 9 plots instead of 4? but does it use just as much gas per plot? if it does use the same amount of gas per plot as the old one did, who cares? I already never have enough gas to use the old one on any more than half my farm. are those few *clicks* I’m going to save by having it cover 9 plots instead of 4 really worth playing a game I have no interest in (Mafia Wars) or paying 55 FC? – so I can just get to clicking on every single plot on the rest of my farm that much faster? does anyone know the gas to plot ratio on the hotrod tractor? I’m not going to go through all the trouble to get something that, at most, will save me a minute or two of the hour and a half or more I spend on my farm every day. anyone who knows more info on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, just to let you know that the Farmville Hot Rod Tractor actually does exist, because, and I don’t even know how, this morning … or was it yesterday night? … which ever, it actually came up on my ‘vehicles’ page on Farmville! I was lucky enough to get one, I guess. Well, I’ve been playing Farmville for over 3 months, since I registered to Facebook. I’m a level 30 so far (check which date it is I wrote this). And … well, I’m a great player and uses techniques to level up. I have to agree with Yaniv Sins, though, yes, why does Zynga cooperation have to make us be level 10 in Mafia Wars, a violent and, to my opinion, causing youngsters peer-pressure. We all know the anwser to that though, yes, they want more people to join Mafia Wars, don’t they? Huh…? Well anyway … enjoy the tractor if you’re lucky enough to receive one!
