FarmVille Unwither Ring Glitch

There was a glitch in FarmVille starting yesterday regarding the Unwither Ring.
Upon visiting your farm, you may have gotten a pop-up message that said something similar to “You can now open your Unwither Ring!”.

This is a glitch that occurred in FarmVille for many users regardless if you were gifted the Unwither Ring. It seems like its intention was to be used as a notification that Unwither Rings could be opened as you had to wait until February 14th to open them. Although this pop-up may have been misleading, if you did not receive an Unwither Ring you cannot open one.
If you were gifted an Unwither Ring you would have also received a notification from the FarmVille neighbor that sent the ring.
Official Word from Zynga spokesman Channel Zero:
“Some of you might have noticed a popup this morning for the Unwither Ring that stated you had been gifted with a ring, and upon clicking it you were taken to the market. Please be aware that this was unintentional. This was an unfortunate glitch that was the result of the our regular daily messages being tied to the messaging for those who were actually gifted with an Unwither Ring.
We sincerely and profusely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience, and did not intend on misleading any of you. Once again, this was an unfortunate glitch that our developers are working on remedying at this very moment.
Once again, we apologize for this error and are working to make sure that similar ones are minimized or do not occur in the future.”

I have to admit, I thought I had a secret admirer when I received this glitch pop-up and was disappointed when it took me to the market. Nobody loves me.

lolz, you shoud have seen my face when that happened to me. I said out loud, although no one was around, “My God, seriously?!?! A PINK PATCH COW WOULD HAVE BEEN JUST FINE…” Fourtuneatletly afterwards, it took me to the market, and was glad to see no one wasted $40 on me, since I usually remember to harvest crops on time.

i sent a panda to a friend, cause she didn’t have enough farm cash and wanted one so badly… and when i saw this pop-up a day later, i thought she bought it for me
i was shocked, because i don’t want somebody to waste his/her farm cash on me 
but thank god, it was just a glitch…

Did anyone actually get a ring? I mean, it would be a nice thing to have, but ANY money spent on a game as un-reliable and un-stable as this is sad….

The message was pretty clear… it was obviously a general message was sent to the lucky recipients of these very special rings.
High school English will help the rest of you to understand the obvious which was stated by Zynga… so, ultimately, your GED’s are the equivenlent of burnt toast…. garbage.

Come on Farmville Freak, you’re losing some prestige, your predictions (nacho’s) are horrible and you’re details are LATE!!! Most everything the past couple weeks we’ve figured out on our own… how disapointing… it was so wonderful having a reliable resource.

Thanks Lafko06 for all your great comments. I see you are still reading FarmVille Freak even though you have only negative things to say.
Nachos may have not come out but it was definitely in the code as we saw proof, not photoshopped images.
We try to update as instantaneously as possible. If they are not fast enough for you maybe you would like to volunteer your time to help out the FarmVille Freak team.
We post anything relevant to FarmVille even if it may seem unimportant to you, other farmers find it useful. I received many emails asking about this specific glitch (unwither ring)so I decided to post it for clarification.
@ Jeff there has been a post about the newest Mystery Box for quite some time. Refresh.

I got up, bleary eyed, to get the kids there morning milk, opened my laptop and up poped this message. Well I was so surprised I ran up upstairs and woke up my wife asking her if she had sent me the ring. She answered my question with a raised eyebrow and deeply suspicious look. With slight trepidation I clicked on the link …you can imagine my relieve when I saw it was just a generic message! lol
(I was a little disappointed though)

Wow… I have made several comments in here that are positive. I can’t believe MY post caused you to retaliate and insult me, a loyal follower. You get tons of backlash from readers and never respond to each of them. Guess someone is having a bad day? Volunteer? Hmmm… honestly prior to your statement I would have seriously considered donating my time in any capacity needed, but after that comment I know I could and would never work with such touchy people.

ok someone please help okay so..
i got to Level 10 in Mafia Wars today, then it said ”Youve unlocked your Hotrod Tractor” it said you might have to wait for up to 30 mins for it to appear or whatever… but.. ive been waiting for 4 hours and it still hasnt appeared. its not in the market or anything.. someone help!

Bad code, or ploy for business?? I too go the unwither ring message that they are now saying is a glitch. I assumed it was from my sister, so I sent her one. So, farmville gets 40 dollars for their trickery. I sent them an email, but no response. I wonder how many other people did the same thing. Ultimately, I think this ‘coding error’, helped their business. I’ll be smarter next time.

OHHHHH OK!
I was able to open one though…
It eventually expired and I was pretty mad.
I never knew it was a glitch because it lasted several days.
