Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 5:33 pm
I’d love to know how many of these were bought. I can’t believe someone would spend $50USD on this! I guess to each his own.
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 5:52 pm
What a waste of money……can understand why some may want it…..but 80 per cent of the time there is a message from Zygna saying “Due to technical difficulties”, “due to connection issues” withering has been suspended….Why pay for this I dont understand
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 5:56 pm
I spent $100 dollars on 2 of them, one for myself and one for a friend, I love it, lol and my friend did too
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 5:58 pm

Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 6:20 pm

Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 6:53 pm
guys, you can get a heart teddy on a mystery gift
it goes well with the giant teddy
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 6:57 pm
It’s 250 FC, not 240, get the fact straight
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 7:04 pm
The only people crazy enough to spend money on this are dedicated and addicted farmers who watch their crops 24/7 anyway, and never let them wither, so I don’t understand the point of buying it.
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 7:08 pm
My Husband got me one! It’s nice to get one because when you have 3 kids your not always able to get on the computer before your crops go to waste!!
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 7:20 pm
I didnt get one so i didnt send anyone else one its ashame realy i dont get to go on mch anymore:(
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 8:24 pm
Kyle I noticed that too and it made me chuckle… I like it better. As for the ring… are they outta their cotton pickin minds????????????? 50.00?!?!?!?! They shoulda done it where you buy one for yourself and it gives you a free one to give away. I probably would have paid 25.00 for that…
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 8:27 pm
I GOT THE PICTURE SAYING I CAN OPEN IT BY CLICKING BELOW BUT NOTHING POPPED UP IN MY GIFT BOX
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 8:50 pm
@DaleTHEwhale
Same thing happened to me too!
I couldn’t believe that someone sent me one of those rings ,lol.
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 8:59 pm
For those comments on the bull…………another change is the Jack-a-lope. Now instead of brushing it you ‘collect imaginary milk’…………..rofl
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 10:07 pm
I got one for myself. I didn’t need it and it was money that could have been well spent someplace else. But you kow what? I don’t care. I got it because I could and because I liked it.
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 11:01 pm
@Anna
If you have 3 kids don’t you think it’s better if you spend your money for whatever your kids need/want and not some stupid ring in an online game?
I can’t believe people are actually willing to pay this much for a stupid ring. You can’t quiet possibly lose that much money if your crops wither. It’s not like you die or something.
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 11:27 pm
@superapple
Don’t you think your comments are a bit out of order, as it reads to me that your calling them bad parents?
Each to they own I say, as I know people who spend much more time and real money on online games such as WoW. FV is free but there are players who choice to enchance the game by spending money in it and they the ones we should be thanking as they pay for the upkeep and development of FV.
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 11:36 pm
@slinxy
Nope, not what I meant. I simply think that people who have 3 kids at home should spend their money for something useful instead for something like this. I mean, we are not talking about $5 here. You can buy a lot of stuff and do a lot of things with $50. Long story short, I just find it really stupid.
Posted on February 14th, 2010 at 11:45 pm
@Superapple
Wow, I find it unbelievable that anyone here can have the gall to judge how anyone else chooses to spend their money -especially on a Valentine’s Day gift….. for some people $50 is chump change – for others it is a serious amount of money. Leave it alone!!!!!
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 1:08 am
ן agee with superapple – if you have kids you need to think about them first
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 1:21 am
WASTE of Money people say??? LOL
Gosh.. its like $50 …. wHEN YOU meet your REAL LOVE… lol.. your gonna spend like over $3000 for a RING….. hahhaha
But that ring wont UNWITHER your crops…. Gosh.. I seriously cannot believe people did not take this offer.. It is a WASTE of money if you only play this game once now and then… Then its a WASTE…
bUT… AS this site is called FARMVILLE FREAK… i thought this was for serious players…
EVERY new item now … PEOPLE STILL complain… ohh ohhh Its FV again… OOOHHH OOOHHH
iF YOU HAVENT WORKED OUT HOW THIS GAME WORKS OW.. THEN STOP PLAYING IT! ITS FREE REMEMBER.. DUH
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 1:46 am
I am so peed off, the notice came up on my farm and my stupid computer went back just before I clicked OK!
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 1:55 am
Guys, it’s so unfair to talk about a parent without knowing what they have done for their children!
How are you supposed to know and judge if they haven’t given till now to their children their best?
Please, stop being so mean towards people that you don’t even know and especially using their children…
I can’t believe that…
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 2:32 am
I got 3 unwither yesterday while fertilizing my friends crops…its so amazing….a pop-up came that I have got an extra unwither to help my friend..after accepting it the crops become fully grown and colorful…good to see…anyone here got it too!!!….I have 170 neighbors but no one got it yesterday..only me!!

1. To FarmVille Freak: Please check the comments above as some are out of order. Also, can you fix the tabs for filling in the comment form so I can comment faster when I am in work?
2. Isn’t it funny that people who have kids include this fact in every sentence?
3. I think it is disgusting that people comment on others parenting skills. Go back to tending your farms and stop commenting on others in such a nasty way you disgusting people.
4. Most people got notifications about the ring, that we could open them, as an advertisement for the ring.
5. I give up commenting on the posts about FV cash. We pay to go to the cinema, we pay for all entertainment so why should FarmVille be any different? It is very cool you can play for free at all so be grateful for that and expect that those of us who do put our hands in our pockets get extra perks.
6. I bought a ring for a friend and received no XP. I presumed when I opened mine there would be XP. Nothing. This is the only problem I have.

Hi ppl
I also thing I got a pop up regarding a unwither ring….but i was stupid enough to close it before I could read it. I just recall seeing the unwither ring box things…..I was going out of my mind thinking! – have I just missed my chance of getting a ring that someone gave me not to mention the waste of someon’s F$ – I thought it was maybe just a pop up reminding ppl that they can send a love one an unwither ring but from all your comments I feel maybe someone did send me one and I would be gutted as I never got it – I have written to Zynga cust support to clarify but if anyone can confirm it was just a pop up then it would put my mind to rest
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 3:05 am
I got the unwither ring message too, but when I clicked ok nothing happened… My crops *were* withering, and I thought it was just a glitch. Anyone more for this?
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 4:47 am
whoo boy – first off, the message about opening the ring pops up for everyone – you didn’t get a ring just because it popped up. secondly, i find it amazing that half the people here were all excited because they thought they were getting the ring just because of a global pop up, but the other half are criticizing someone for their hubby having gotten one for her! why on earth do you care how this family spends their money?? my guess is that you guys have lots of stuff you “can’t afford” by other people’s standards. Plus, you have no idea what they do for a living or how they spend their time and money – not to mention that those things are none of your business. i’m sorry that you can’t afford to add on to the game and are jealous of those who can and want to, but that sounds like a personal problem – why aren’t you spending your time going to school or working harder to get ahead in your own job instead of spending time on fb and fv?
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 4:59 am
Cheryl you’re my new best friend!
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 6:14 am
I just find it funny, anyone who is really a farmvillefreak or plays the game enough to want one, won’t need an unwither ring because they aren’t going to let their crops wither. I figure as much it’s just novelty, and something cool to boast that you recieved one. I would much rather have some animals or mystery boxes over it, for the money it would cost though. Congrats to anyone that got one.
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 6:16 am
every one got the message, don’t panic.
to me it seems a waste of money too, as someone said, if you are “addicted” enough to spend so much money on the game, you visit your farm daily anyways, and it won’t wither.
but it’s sad to read how people divide players into free-players and paying-players, as if they were sth better just because they spend money on it. I bought cash one time so far, because I wanted to get the waterfall, which I did. but considering all the glitches and dysfunctions, I don’t think I will spend much more money on it. as it’s still beta, zynga can decide to take it off the market tomorrow (though I don’t think they will) and all your money was spent for nothing. you can’t compare that to WoW (which I don’t play).
what I’ve done now: I’ve created 2 new accounts with farms, which I only use to grow crops and earn fv, and I will buy stuff with that fv and send it to my main farm.
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 6:27 am
i luckily got one but my mac froze
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 7:08 am
all the people saying “wow, you spend $50 on the ring.” that’s actually wrong. the ring costs 250FV cash. meaning if someone paid $50 for 310 there’s still 60 left over for themselves. Also, if you directly convert 250FV cash to currency, the ring is ~$41. which is very reasonable for a valentines day gift. if your spouse was really into farmville, then getting them the ring would be more meaningful than say, a gift card for $41. if my girlfriend were addicted to farmville as much as i was i would have easily gotten the unwither ring for her instead of brand name items costing ~$90.
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 7:28 am
I didn’t buy this because me or my girl don’t need anything like that. I send her animals and giftboxes all the time instead. I wouldn’t judge anyone that bought it, that’s retarded. Who knows what’s going on in that house, and really no one on the internet should care about the strangers they meet. Please insert foot into ass…
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 9:32 am
what are the valentines presents??? i really want to know =(
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 9:55 am
@ Di: but the thing is, if you are “addicted to farmville” you know exactly when your crops are done and when they start withering and you harvest before that time, right?
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 10:03 am
@ Barbara: Well Stated. Really the ring is targeted towards people that shouldn’t even need it.
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 10:27 am
I’m thinking that the ring is good for people who like to make fancy patterns on their farms. Currently the only way to do it is with hay bales, because if you do it with crops, they eventually wither. Now someone has the ability to make a permanent picture or design with crops. To me, this is the most practical use of the ring for someone who has it. Not to mention the fact that it is something to have that most other people don’t.
One other thought for some of the people in the posts above to ponder – $50.00 is not a lot of money for everyone. For younger people, yes. For people who are struggling, yes. For a single parent trying to raise children, perhaps. However, keep in mind that a lot of the people who sit home all day and play Farmville are retirees, or spouses of people who have considerable incomes. $50.00 is not a lot of money to everyone. If you have a six figure salary, $50.00 is about one hour of your paycheck (granted people who make six figures don’t look at their salary on an hourly basis, but I have done this here for purposed of illustration).
Just because you wouldn’t spend the money on it (neither would I), it is unfair to say that you think it is crazy for anyone to buy it, you have no idea what people’s individual financial situations are. I have read stories that Farmville is a big hit amongst Hollywood movie actors. Do you think Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts really care that the ring costs $50? They have underwear which costs double that. They leave more than that for tips after a meal.
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 10:42 am
first of all: I WANT BRAD PITT AS MY FARMVILLE NEIGHBOR RIGHT NOW!!!
second: I don’t think it’s crazy, I think it’s not necessary, I would much more prefer 15 mystery boxes instead!
now, if you have that much money and are willing to spend it on farmville a lost crop will not hurt very much as you can buy coins.
but if you are a fv artist and make pictures and pattern with crops, then it’s a good thing, that’s right.
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 10:59 am
I think it would have been a cute way to propose – If the two were FV addicts.
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 11:29 am
You can also turn the Unwither Ring on and off, so you can let your crops wither if you forget to turn it on!
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 11:29 am
@ barbara
truth. the people who are addicted have no need for the ring. however, i would utilize the ring to master raspberries as there is no way i would be able to check my computer within 4 hours. with the ring you could potentially wait as long as you want.
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 11:37 am
Yes, there has been a glitch where you may be sent a pop-up message when you log onto FarmVille. It will say something about opening your Unwither Ring today, however this was viewable to both owners of the Ring and to those that don’t own the Ring. This does not give you the Ring, it is just a mistake that FarmVille have put on there by accident and will be fixed shortly.
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 11:45 am
I personally wouldn’t spend money for this because I’m not THAT into the game. However, I don’t think it’s a waste if someone else who is into it and wants to spend money on it. The comment about the kids needing the money spent on them is ridiculous. That is assuming that said people don’t have enough money to provide for their children and how in the hell would anyone know that? I spend money on books, clothes, the movies, eating out and whatever I feel like buying for myself. My husband as we speak is off to buy an amp and a guitar pedal and will spend around $400-500 dollars. Guess what? We have kids and here is the obvious mind blower for sourapples, they too have toys, books, and money spent on them way beyond any essentials like clothes and food. Spending money on yourself or spouse does not mean you are NOT spending money on your kids. Sourapples, just because YOU don’t have any extra cash for fun and non necessity purchases doesn’t mean everyone is the same.

CAN YOU PLS TELL ME WHEN IN THE WORLD WILL THIS VALINTINE STFF STOP
ITS STARTING TO BE BORD ?
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 12:49 pm
Cheryl is right. It was a global message. If someone sent u a ring, u can open it (becos u cant open it earlier). If no one sent u any ring…then of coz, u wont find any ring…..lol…..
250 fv dollars can be expensive for some, can be cheap for some. Anyway, this ring is for u to purchase and send it as a gift…. If u received the ring, you would be so happy…rite?
Doesnt matter if you are an addict or no addict, need it or dont need it, it would be sooo nice to receive one….
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 1:17 pm
Here’s an idea for Farmville, pls have solar-powered harvester, seeder and tractor as gifts. Its time to go green! No more worries about fuel refills!!!
Must have for the addicts!!!
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 1:18 pm
i got one of some one went through it all placed it on my farm sent the admire a mesage planted strawberries to get marstery and then 10 hours later bam all witherd what a waste of money it would be helpfull to get marstery gone out of market now
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 2:06 pm
@ Superapple
How dare you!! My Kids and Family HAVE everything that we need and more!! We have food, clothing, and shelter!!! I hardly ever spend money on myself!! It’s nice to get something for myself for once!!
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 2:09 pm
The vehicles are kinda solar powered, you dont need fuel refills, you get 150 after 6 hours. (You can harvest/plow/seed 150 squares)
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 2:22 pm
Hey,
I thought you would like to know that when I was helping out friends I was given an option to use a free unwither on my friends plants. I do not possess an unwither ring or any other unwither options neither does my friend. However, I do not have a snapshot of the same.
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 2:26 pm
OMG!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS ANNA!!! I am so happy for you that you got the ring and GOOD for your husband who is thinking of you enough to buy it for you! He obviously knows your a GREAT wife and mother that you deserve “something for just you ” because I am sure all your time and effort goes into the family! It is so sad that people have nothing better to do than judge others, but we know the “Real ” issue here with Anna and the others……….JEAlLOUSY!!!! there is no other explanation EVER for people to comment negatively on someone elses good fortune! Enjoy Anna!
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 2:27 pm
JEALOUSY! and it doesnt matter how its spelled it all means the same thing
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 2:31 pm
can someone post a picture of their ring??? i was wondering what it looks like on the farm
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 2:37 pm
@superapple
You obviously need to stop playing the game because it’s killed all your g damn brain cells. Stop being such a bitch, and go find a husband of your own! Obviously you missed out on a loving family as a child, so it’s time you make up for that (but please, for the world’s sake, don’t have any kids of your own). Would you rather her throw money at her kids and just sit there glued to the computer screen, ignoring their childhood? Or, do you think it’s maybe a good idea for her to spend a little money on something that allows her to neglect the game for as long as she wants to be with her children? OH WAIT! SHE DOESN’T HAVE TO ASK YOUR PERMISSION TO SPEND HER MONEY!
Here’s some good advice, take the money you spend on your monthly internet bill, and invest it in some classes that teach you how to treat others and make friends. Oh, and maybe throw some in the stock market or some CD’s you broke biiitch!
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 2:38 pm
Thanks Joanne!!
I do believe that they are!! They don’t know me or my family and they have no right to talk about me like that!! My Husband and Kids are my whole life!! My Husband and I have been together for 14 years so if my Husband wants to spend money on me then he can on WHATEVER he wants!!!
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 2:45 pm
You bet Anna and you dont even need to explain to me because I already know your life is awesome for the simple fact your husband bought it for you! These people are not only jealous of the ring, they are also jealous you have an awsome husband and family! Good to know there are still great marriages and families out there! Enjoy your ring…make sure you WATCH your plants whither so you can enjoy your ring even more! And watch “friends” come out of the wood work when theirs whither and they find out you can help them…then they will think your ring is the best thing since sliced bread!

ATTENTION!!!
This is an open discussion comments and we try to filter it as little as possible so that opinions and viewpoints may be heard and discussed just as long as it does not include profanity or personal attacks.
However, I am appalled that some of you feel the need to judge others that you do not even know. Regarding the mom of three whose husband bought her the Unwither Ring as a Valentine gift: Who is anyone else to judge? For you to question someone’s parenting skills is out of line based on the assumption that they received a Valentines gift that took away from the needs of their children!!!!
This is a website dedicated to FarmVille and of course many FarmVille Freaks will have their opinions about whether or not the Unwither Ring is a great item to own. For anyone to slam someone else for being gifted one is sad and pathetic. I’m sure if someone sent you one you would accept also.
Please leave you personal attacks out of this discussion.
Thank you,
FarmGoddess

I have an idea I bet they didn’t apply to this feature. I wish my flower beds would stop withering. I can almost say for sure your flowers will still wilt, but I guess it would be nice to make patterns with flowers and other crops. I do get tired of constantly having to replacing wilted flowers with new ones. I’m almost to the point of stopping myself from collecting anymore flowers. Since they only last 2 weeks…
Posted on February 15th, 2010 at 9:28 pm
Noone here is understanding the great benefit of the ring you so called Farmville freaks! The great advantage is that if you want to master a certain crop, let’s say blueberries, that is a 4 hr. crop. If you work, like a normal human being, then you can plant them before you go to work and harvest them when you get off. Withouth the ring, if you work a full day, they would be withered before you An harvest them. For me it’s great, because I work 11 hour days and am level 60. I’ve mastered most long term crops and am trying to master the short term crops. In other words, I am a FREAK and am using this to my advantage. It’s not that a true freak doesn’t know when they’re crops are going to wither and plant something around your schedule, it’s that you can plant whatever you want and not have to worry about it! Look at it this way and you will ALL want one.
Posted on February 16th, 2010 at 5:27 am
while i do think it is a waste of money for an addict that does not make their crops wither and if I had a rich farm addict bf I would tell him to send me mystery boxes, buildings and such instead (well actually I would only want him to send me non-virtual presents and only farmville presents if he was super rich, lol); i do think that for designing purpose it is very useful as I read one of the comments on how it could be used, that was clever.
Another reason I can see is if you have significant other who doesn’t have time to play farmville like us freaks, and the SO likes to visit their farm and see free crop or encourage them to not stop playing because of how they complain about withering, lol
I think about another interesting reason, if you fall in love with one of your farmville neighbosr whom you just originally added to just play the game with and didn’t before. Then, you fall in love with they way the play, their farm and start knowing them through Facebook and want to purpose, then that ring would be ideal, lol. It would be so cute!!! I have seen a friend of mine meeting her current boyfriend through an online game (anarchy online), she was addicted to the game and she clicked with another friend, many states away, and now they have been together over 3 years. The odd part of it was she was a lesbian and not bisexual at all before him, and only attracted to women, and who knows her longest relationship is with a guy now because of an online game.

My boyfriend bought me an unwither ring for Valentines!!! Love it no withered crops ever again yesss!!!!
Posted on February 17th, 2010 at 6:46 pm
I got an unwither Ring. I have children…..they didnt starve tonight… because They saved up for it and bought it for me….both birthday and valentines….But Still…they saved money They could have Blown on themselves to give Me something. Nothing anyone could say could tarnish my Ring and anyone who thinks it was a waste…has not seen my Roses that will never die!
It annoys me that people are so small that Even though maybe they didn’t want it or couldn’t use it or couldn’t afford it….they don’t have the ability to be happy for someone else. If I hadn’t gotten it….I would be thrilled for those who did. And, hope for me….later.
I am also agast that people confuse a business with a charity and demand that All be free. I am curious if they walk into Walmart and think that beings someone offered them a bite of warmed up frozen food for Free …..if they are offended when they are asked to pay for stuff they tossed in the cart to drag home? One of my kids works in the Loss Prevention department…..I guess he wouldn’t have a job with out that mentality….LOL. Can’t you see them now….snooping through peoples carts and telling them….”Lady, you don’t need diapers…potty train that kid….and Look at what your spending your money on….Lady…Toilet paper is a Waste to the environment…..and who would buy Green Bath towels….are you Crazy…green is ugly…I don’t like it and if you don’t like being wet…dont take a bath!…..go…right now….If you have to waste your money on something…..go buy a Lego for your kids! ”
Anyone who got the ring…….Yeahhhh! I have had so much fun planting every berry before i go to bed and waking up to All of them perfect. I also think its wonderful that you can turn it on and off. So if you want to wither say corn for halloween you can…then turn it on,…..and it returns your crops to harvest! very cool. I wish I could restore neighbors sometimes too though. Have a great evening…
