Zynga FarmVille Invasion: Goodbye Multiple Chicken Coops!

Since Tuesday night Zynga started removing multiple Chicken Coops in FarmVille. For those farmers in violation of the “One Chicken Coop” rule, you can expect your multiple coops to be deleted and your excess Chickens sent to your Gift Box. It does not matter how you obtained the multiple Chicken Coops whether by in game glitch or if you purposely used tricks to gain extra coops.
Some farmers that didn’t see this earlier post on FarmVille Freak were surprised to see their Gift Box filled with some 100 plus Chickens and their extra Chicken Coops missing. Although your Gift Box limit is only 30, it will accommodate any excess Chickens.
The removal is without notice and may happen at anytime. If Zynga has invaded your farm while you were away, you will receive this pop-up notice upon visiting your farm.

who cares about the coops, like i said in the other thread, make sure there is nothing important in your gift box because they bumped my stuff out and all i had was chickens. I purchaced 4 valentines mystery boxes and was ripped off 3 carriages,and a cardinal. Zynga’s response is still pending. RIP OFF!

how is this zyngas fault? not to stand up for those SOBs but the whole point of a mystery box is that it is a …mystery. getting 3 of the same crappy item is a down side of buyying multiple mystery boxs, srry

thats not the problem, they REMOVED my items or my items vanished from the giftbox. all that was in there were chickens… yes it IS Zyngas fault, I spent actualy money for those

Has this happened to anyone here yet? Is the changes to your gift box permanent?
Having a gift box that accepts 100+ presents could be kind of a plus.

I’m truly sorry that the developers at Farmville felt they had to take such a drastic step with the players. I had three coops that I got from one of the glitches, and I had them all full. Does that mean I got excess mystery eggs? No, all it meant was that I only had to click once to collect eggs versus many times. If they do release the chicken coop expansion, I will not be taking advantage of it. I refuse to beg my friends (real life or online) for materials or help to expand my farm. I also won’t be planting anymore flowers as I think offering “Perfect Bunches” to my friends is also useless. Like I said, I’m truly sorry that the developers felt they had to take such a step especially in light of the fact that they allow players to “legally” have 5 dairy barns for their cows. Also, I will no longer be clicking on any mystery eggs to see what they contain. I do enjoy Farmville, but with rules that are beginning to make no sense, I may give it up for another app.

Zynga should actually refund half of what the items cost if there’s a repeat item from the mystery box, just like how CastleAge does with their cash items.

so many people have posted that they did not cheat and that the extra coops appeared by a glitch. I had one extra coop and it was deleted last night. I dont have a problem with that because I knew that we were supposed to have just one but i kept the extra one.
All of us were supposed to have just ONE coop…one user posted that they didnt know that there was a limit. Just because you dont know the rules doesnt mean that you were not breaking them. Ignorance is not a defense. The rules are the rules and we should abide by them.
I have also read some posts by users that said that they had 30+ coops and that their neighbors were benefiting from the mystery eggs that they produced (this was before the one per day limit) I had several neighbors that had tons of coops but seeing as how they have many many many neighbors it alwas seems like the same people were hatching the eggs over and over again. This was plain to see because when visiting their farms they have A LOT of gold gnomes, tree swings, hot tubs etc…this is probably why the prizes in the gold eggs have been so crappy lately. Thats what they mean by the economy. I mean really how many gold gnomes do you need??? The best prizes in the gold eggs were the ones that were among the very first eggs. Now its crap. Its not special. Maybe now they will go back to developing some really nice prizes in the gold eggs.
and one more thing i have also seen people posting that it was zynga’s fault that they got the extra coops…well now zynga is fixing the mess they made

Sorry to everybody that says Zynga is just fixing their mistake because I completely disagree. Zynga made the mistake in the first place by overloading us with chickens and not giving us a place to put them. The chicken coops NEEDED to be expandable, or at least allow us to buy multiples of them like the dairy barns.
I was not one of those people that had 40 and 50 extra coops….I only had 4 and all of those were from the expansion glitch. I almost never got mystery eggs out of them, and when I did it was only out of one coop. Of course, all 4 were taken away.
Unfortunately I’m too addicted to FarmVille to stop playing, but I’m boycotting chickens and mystery eggs from this point on. I am further disrupting the “farmville economy” by taking my mystery eggs out of the mix and inviting others to do so also. I have sold all of my chickens, sold my remaining coop, and no longer claim other neighbors’ mystery eggs. I’m through with the whole chicken/egg thing until Zynga fixes THIS problem by expanding the coop or allowing us to have more. Anyone wanting to join only needs to search “boycott farmville chickens” on facebook.

I personally am wondering when they are going to bring in the chicken coop expansion? I have like 100+ chickens on my farm, all because the expansion says “coming soon” um coming soon like when? They have come out with the 24×24 expansion,valentine stuff, and a horse stable! WHEN IS THE EXPANSION COMING??
If not soon im going to go ahead a delete my chickens

I lost my coops yesterday. I wasnt worried about it since I read about it & knew it was coming. Frustrating part is all of my neighbors still have theirs. =\

I will be deleting the chickens simply because it is too much clicking and takes too long. The trees are bad enough. I had a second chicken coop but did not know what to do about it. I thought both might disappear if I tried to delete one of them but did not know which one to choose. When the coop “split” in two, each one had some of the original 20 chickens. I only put 18 in the “second” coop as I didn’t know what else to do with it. I don’t like that there would be accusations of cheating. We are playing a game, and it would be nice if it could be enjoyed, but it has turned out to be an exercise in frustration.

I’m happy cause I sell my second chicken coop and I’m not worried about that but my brother has still 2 coops.He must remove it!
But i hate the fact then we must have only 1 chicken coop.It will be better if the chicken coop and horse stable will be like the dairy farms (allowed to buy more than 1 in the market)!
P.S. The idea to have a gift box with 100+ presents is strange!But very good!Cuse while Iwas opening the presents in the holiday tree Istoped every 30 presents to evacuate the gift box!

I read somewhere that more people have Farmville accounts than there are people who use Twitter. Removing all the coops from everybody certainly would take a while. I still have my 4 coops (one for each color), but anyday now they’ll disappear. That’s fine, whatevs.

no thats not fine, whatevs! i have one for each color as well as u bob! i dont want them taken away. i want my farm to have one coop of every colored chicken. and even more, i’d like them to stop showing me that my gold chicken coop has white chickens inside, so pls color those 4 damn chickens in GOLD!!!!!! same for the other 2 colors.. when mine will be taken away, i’ll write to them and if i wont get them back or i wont be told multiple coops will be available soon FOR COINS, i wont even play this crap anymore. too many restrictions! too many thing we cant have! when i finally get those damn coops in mid january, they come and take them away! I WOULDNT HAVE MORE THAN ! IF I WOULDNT NEED THEM U DORKS!!!!!!

I read about the new policy this morning and decided to sell 5 out of my 6 coops. Now I have one coop full of gold chickens and about 10 chickens wondering on their own, just for looks.
I’m not angry about this at all because it was certainly against the rules. I knew sooner or later something was going to change. It’s just part of the game. It was fun sneaking in a few coops, now it’s time to concentrate on something else on the farm.
I do see the point of the neighbors that have lots of chickens and have to click on each everyday, that’s a lot of clicking. Why not just keep a few… why the pack-rat thing? So many neighbors have tons of things all over their farms, it’s ridiculous. Apparently it’s a competition to see who has more of everything. It’s not interesting to visit their farms at all, most look the same, just a lot of everything compressed into a square. But to each it’s own. I personally enjoy having a farm that looks unclutter and mimics a real farm in a sense. I do have a few neighbors that do this too, and I love visiting their farms. They change the landscape around here and then, and you can see everything clearly… it sure adds to the enjoyment of the game.

I am not very good in english, but will give it at try. My farm was a chicken farm, I am a fancy poultry breeder in real life Now my chicken have to do with at tool shel as coop. thats not good…I have 7 dairy all buy with coins and fv, why not 7 coops? I am spending money each week anyway on the game. Its the first game for my, I am 58 and enjoy it.

It is about time they deleted excess chicken coops. I am sick to death of the damn cheaters who post multiple golden eggs, not to mention multiple collections a day. Has anyone ever noticed that it is just the same link, over and over? For their benefit, not ours! Plus, what about the people still able to fill up their Holiday Trees. How is that even possible? I also once had a guy who went through level 30-40 in a week! What i don’t get is, i play just as much as this dude and i’m lucky to level up twice in a week. Did i mention i have 10 mastery crops, and he does not even have one. Ah! Grrr. =|

Some choad at Zynga giving you a couple of Farmbucks for coming up with a totally bogus rationalization for their inability to simply accept that they screwed up? i got 1 neighbour still has 8 coops. crashes everytime i visit. get them thrown off for good. why cheat. you dont even get your own eggs so whats the point.

So, they took my 4 coops. I disagree that it was cheating; they put the glitch on there and leaked it knowing full well how people would respond. They got great press out of it all. Thousands of people signed up at the fan pages to experience the excitement. But that’s neither here nor there, now.
What I want to know is, If chickens and coops are their livelihood, then why dont they take fixing the glitches more seriously??? I sold my chickens and coop to be done with chickens. Now, I find a coop in my gift box at any given time! I’m certainly not buying them; they are just there. I had 6 in there the other day, until I got rid of them. I could have 80 if I wanted. So why should I be punished for something they are pushing on me? If it’s such a big deal, fix it! Its just stupid.
