The FarmVille Wish List is here!

FarmVille Make a Wish Announcement
You can now post a Facebook Notification of your wish list item to notify all of your FarmVille neighbors.
FarmVille Make a Wish Button
You can select any item available in the free Gifting page and let your friends know that you would like one. This should solve problems for all those unwanted gifts, like white fences or regular chickens
I like this new option, what do you think?

I think it’s an excellent idea! just tried it.. but if you have alot neighbours.. you will get heaps! lol
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 9:56 pm
3RD HEHE I ROCK NICE NOW I CAN GO ON MY FAKE ACCOUNTS AND SEND ME STUFF EASIER THEN BEFORE BECAUSE I JUST HAVE TO LOOK AT THE NEWS FEED TO SEE THE WISHLIST
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 9:57 pm
yeah and another thing is if they actually send you what you are asking for
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 9:58 pm
You should be able to ask for gifts that you personally can’t gift as well… like the collectibles or stable pieces that you can’t gift but others can..
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 9:58 pm
wat abt da mystery animal wat u ppl got
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 10:00 pm
Love it
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 10:03 pm
How does this work? I’ve been looking around and can’t find it.
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 10:06 pm
Its already ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the feed page is filled with these. It doesnt solve the problem because its harder to keep track of gifting when you just click on the item neighbors want and they just return the same gift, you miss out on what you want anyway. I personally dont care for any approach that looks like begging.
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 10:09 pm
I’m kind of annoyed that you can only ask people for the stable items that YOU have…not very helpful as I don’t need the stable items I can send out
Other than that I kind of like this…I wouldn’t if I had tons of neighbours though
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 10:11 pm
i like the idea of it but if you post it once then dont post it again
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 10:12 pm
Well at least you will get the things you want and not just any stuff. Same if you gift you will send what your neighbor wants..can’t be all that bad.
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 10:29 pm
Jaja… I just want my ALIEN COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
O… and the nice carrousel and the donkey, they were nice prices in the golden eggs… Not an stupid house that I can buy…
That is my wish list……
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 10:35 pm
well where is it?? i can not find it anywhere in any of the tabs in my farmville at all! my feed page is fullof these requests so i kow lots of people have it so why can’t i find it?
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 10:45 pm
It’s nice to be able to select, but this REALLY clutters up the feed. You used to be able to spot collectables/adoptables, but now you have to read each item and see if it’s a beg or gift…. Nice idea, but the implementation lacks ease of use. Put the “wishes” on the “free gifts” page somehow, not in the news stream….

I’m wishing I get the Lodge back I bought last night. And for a 49 ford to get around on my farm,
Posted on March 2nd, 2010 at 10:53 pm
I dont like it the feeds clog up your page, if I want a rabbit and post i get 30. I like the option to accept or ignor the gifts sent
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 12:12 am
people shud also b allowed to send collectibles ………….
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 12:19 am
Pretty lame… doesn’t look like you can request any of the farmville.com exclusive items either.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 12:29 am
I don’t have this yet…?
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 1:07 am
Allison, you can request the farmville.com items if you ‘wish’ for it from Farmville.com. I went there to wish for some of the fancy topiaries(sp?).
I agree there’s the problem of flooding the feeds AND you risk getting a ton of whatever you wanted. I would like for it to have quantity listing, so those who want 100s of fences or only 3 trees, it works out in the end. But as long as you have a handy ‘thank you for the gift, here’s what you sent me back’ link, it’s still going to be flawed. It’s an overall good idea, but I just wish (ha ha, see what I did there?.. >.> ) that it could be incorporated better.

I still haven’t gotten the wishlist yet but back around september last year i was one of a few people that had it enabled on our farms as a trial and it was pretty cool, wonder when ill get this though
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 2:27 am
i thiugh i would really like the wish list, now that i see how it works….not so much. it makes it harder to keep track of who i owe gifts to and who i already sent. i did a request for a horse, just to see how well it worked and ended up selling a ton of them and then i went into each sender’s page to see if they had asked for anything special. i agree about the pages being flooded with wish lists too…i am over this feature already.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 3:38 am
Great idea, very badly implemented. Why couldn’t it be like mafia wars? An inventory page showing all our stuff (optional, in case trading comes) with a wishlist of three items on top would’ve been great.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 5:29 am
I thought this would be a good idea…shows a list of everything you can get, and you select from that list…that’s not the case. I’m trying to get collectibles, so it would be nice if I could say which ones I needed more. I’ve finished my stable, so I don’t need to worry. If I want a more effective list that doesn’t spam the News Feed, I’ll just attach messages whenever I send a gift, asking for what I want.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 6:35 am
I like it. When I get enough, I just delete my post. Problem solved. Also, when I receive what I asked for, I go to everyone’s profile and see if they’ve asked for something. If they have, I send it.
The ones who are repeatedly asking for the same thing every 20 seconds are REALLY annoying, though.

Where is the button? I dont have it yet. I have looked everywhere.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 7:13 am
really good feature.
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 8:46 am
where is the button?
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 9:05 am
1/ Not very useful … I am on level 40 and still havent seen a pair of shears. I have a new friend/neighbor who comes to visit y farm. 3 visits already 2 pairs.
2/ I need a stick insect … I have seen this on a few persons gift list but not mine so cant request.
3/ We should also be able to gift some of our own gifts when there is a surplus – like 15 pairs of gardening gloves
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 9:07 am
By the way …. does using this new hot rod tractor reduce the chance of finding something when plowing???
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 10:55 am
This is an awfull idea, I hope they see that soon and make a change! I wont even participate because #1 I cant stand beggers, #2 you get too much of what you post #3 you cant possibly be fair and return to all the gift givers, let alone keep track and #4 it totally clogs up the feed page. ITS NOT THAT HARD TO ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT WHEN YOU SEND SOMEONE A GIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEN YOU CAN CONTROL THE QUANTITY AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE RECIPROCATING A GIFT!
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:02 am
this is stupid and clogs my feed.Like everyone doesnt send the new gifts anyways
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 11:55 am
HOW TO FIND WISH LIST FEATURE: Open your farm. Click on your gift box just like you do to empty it out after collecting from the feeds. Look in the top left corner. See the button that says MAKE A WISH. Click on that and follow the prompts. WARNING: If you post the same thing over and over and over and clog up the feeds, we’re going to dump your overzealous greedy butt and find a better neighbor. Post once per day perhaps. Then DELETE THAT POST BEFORE reposting to bring it back to the top of your page. Maybe that will work for people who are complaining about multiple posts? WHEN YOU RESPOND to something like a bench, leave a quick comment. If you can see, from the comments, that your neighbor has already received 20 park benches, maybe you shouldn’t send another? They can certainly sell the excess but why overload them? Use common sense. And if you post for a bench, state that you’re only asking for 3 of them. That solves the problem nicely. I LOVE this new feature. Will make it so much easier to get the trees, fence, cows or horses we need to complete our decorating and projects. Thank you Farmville. Well done.

Hearing a lot of angst over tit for tat and stress over keeping track of exactly who gifted whom. PLEASE people! Let go of that or you’re going to suck all the fun out of this game AND make yourself crazy. Just send when you have time and see a need and accept sent gifts graciously. Even if the lazy slacker just sent you a nail and your stable is already built! You spent all that time to visit his farm, fertilize his crops and look around to determine an appropriate gift for him. Then he just hits the stupid return button and sends you a frickin nail!!!!! Oh well. He’s busy or has confused you with one of his other neighbors who might have needed a nail. It happens. No point in fussing over it. THIS NEW WISH LIST feature is going to improve that situation! THIS NEW WISH LIST is going to save me a tremendous amount of time trying to figure out what to send the level 55 farmer who already has everything. IT’S PERFECT! If you want something, post it. If I don’t see a post, I’ll assume you need nothing. You do me a great favor by letting me know what you need to grow and develop your farm. It saves me a tremendous amount of time and I do not view it as begging. It’s very easy to click and send and I’m most happy to help my fellow farmers in this way. Sometimes I give. Sometimes I get. It’s a very good thing.

And I have one more comment……In regards to allowing us to gift and/or put COLLECTION ITEMS on our WISH LIST. I don’t see Collection Items as giftables. Collection Items are obtained by performing specific tasks on the farm, plowing, harvesting, etc. Sort of like a reward for a job well done. Plus, we can find them in the feeds. When you complete a collection you get 250XP, 5000 coins and 5 FUEL!!! That’s some big reward in my opinion. I really work hard for those. I think my fuel level is up to 198 or something like that. To allow us to ask for, gift or trade the Collectible Items would just be far too easy. For me, part of the reward is in the work done to acquire it. It’s like that for the Achievements as well. I check what I need, devise a plan to obtain it and then……BINGO…..I get the points and stuff for an Achievement.
We sort of earn Achievements on our own. We get help from others to finish our Collections. And then we get stuff from the News Feed for free. It’s a good system.
Nope. I don’t want to make the Collections a super easy, give away thing. But that’s just me. To each his/her own.

This wish list has clogged up the news feed. Nothing but people begging for items. I will continue to send gifts just like I always do. Now we will have to search thru tons of feeds to find the collectibles.

What happenned to the to do list ?? Deoes anyone actually have it
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 4:53 am
Nice if only you could see it from the gift page of the Farm. Jumping from FV to FB is crazy. I only choose 2 or 3 Items and send them to all the Neighbours! Cheers
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 10:21 am
I would love if we could gift collection items, ok if they just want to make it the common ones, or limit them to once a day per person or whatever, or only posting your wishlist once a day, any restriction they place on it. I can’t believe the difference in how many people are struggling to get a common item where some have tons of hen feathers and others cannot get a thimble..and some people have so few friends and others of us have 300.
Also if you have the friends of friends option in your feed, and someone keeps posting for barn supplies, why are there soooo many people who cannot get their barns, chicken coops, and horse stables done??? it must be soo frustrating for them to keep having to start over and over again!! Especially for the non computer savvy who do not get the cut and paste into a group that has hep me links for barn raising’s.

Thanks to Tomalyn Chalmar for explaining where to find the wishlist!! I have been looking allover the place for it!! Expected to find it on the gift page itself….but no its in the gift box. Should be located on the gift page….I agree with everybody in regard to our feeds being clogged with all these posts!!!
Posted on March 4th, 2010 at 2:04 pm
This isnt a “WISH LIST” it is a “BEGGER LIST” that is annoying as can be, Thank god 80% of my neighbors still have enough manners to request what they want when they send a gift, but the 20% that are CONSTANTLY CLOGGING UP THE FEED PAGE WITH THEIR BEGGING are on the brink of getting DELETED! ZYNGA STOP TRYING TO “TRAIN US” TO BE GREEDY LIKE YOU!
Posted on March 9th, 2010 at 9:02 am

Too bad it has worked for me yet- Just seems to be dead when I click on it.
