FarmVille 1-Click Harvesting
For a long time, many farmers have been asking for easier harvesting. Your hands and mouse can now rejoice, as tonight’s update brought us 1-click harvesting for ready animals and trees.
Instead of clicking on the item and then pull down menu to to harvest, all you need to do is mouse over the item and click to harvest and receive coins.
This new feature does not affect your Ugly Duckings, nor Baby Turkeys. These special animals will still allow you to pull down to choose move or transform if you wish.

ya yeah!
lovin this 1 clickedy click
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 10:16 pm
This is awful!! This is the end to producing multiple calves and eggs.
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 10:17 pm
1st!!! Can’t wait to try this!!!
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 10:21 pm
Hey Flora… FAIL… better luck next time
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 10:29 pm
i was literally JUST thinking they should do something like this. its great. LOVE IT =D
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 10:29 pm
I like it.
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 10:34 pm
Dear friends ……. this also takes care of coop/dairy/stable stuffing ! You can nolonger rotate animals and keep getting stuff – what a masterstroke by the Zynga Gods !!
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 10:35 pm
i dont now how to do it
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 10:39 pm
As far as rotating goes – for the chickens and the cows, you are correct, this puts an end to it. But, for horses, as long as the horses are 34%, you can put them in and harvest them.
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 10:41 pm
i love it for harvesting however…. moving anything ready to harvest is out of the question. wish it was optional. maybe they thought we were making too many fake eggs and calves. we can still do the horses though, they make the stable harvestable at 30 some % i think.
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 10:50 pm
this is so much easier
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 11:23 pm
I think its great !!
With two clicks its way more harder job !
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 11:23 pm
About farmville freaking time.
Now if they could just make farms load faster so it wouldn’t take an hour to visit/fertilize a dozen farms.
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 11:38 pm
I cannot longer move a ready item without collecting…
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 11:38 pm
This is the best update ever, love it! click click click done… no more spending long nights dreaming of farmhands
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 11:39 pm
… How do we now sell / move / rotate things on our farm :/
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 at 11:41 pm
Why in God’s name would you want to move an item without collecting? Just collect and then move it, if you have to move something. Its inconceivable to me that someone found something to complain about with this update.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 12:01 am
But don’t we already have the arborist and farmhands to do this? I haven’t tried the 1 click harvesting yet since I don’t have anything to harvest yet.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 12:03 am
Oh never mind, please ignore post 19…..I misunderstood. Sorry.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 12:21 am
This is the worse thing they could have done… I do not harvest my trees because I love them when they are in full bloom and they don’t look so dead. I just wanted to move a few trees, but they had to be harvest before I could move them. They should have left it alone or at least give us the option to do a one click or do it the old way…. Those that do harvest your trees it great for you, but I love my trees like they are, and I don’t want them harvest. Like #18 comment… not all of us need the coins… at least I don’t! Also, I had planned on getting another dog.. Well, my white dog is as big as I am if not bigger…. So that options is out the window… They really need to think before the do things… and that is the key work “think”!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 12:32 am
it’s very bad !!! all people don’t can move any tree, no chicken, no cow… all animal… i don’t can accept come back at the same before or many people stop to play… if many people don’t like work you can have famrhand and arborist… i want to back at the same before with the option !!! it’s necessary farmville don’y have other choice to come back !!!!!!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 12:42 am
hey nori you know they grow back right?
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 12:48 am
To post 21…If you have to move a few trees, harvest them, move them, then wait a day or 2 or whatever and they will be pretty again. There are a couple hundred million people playing farmville, this update will save 100′s OF MILLIONS OF MAN-HOURS, and eventually BILLIONS. This update will increase world productivity, because more people will get things done in real life. But maybe Farrmville should retract this update so that the 3 trees you want to move can be pretty right away instead of tomorrow.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 2:18 am
many people like to play with horse, chicken, cow if i don’t can move the animal when ready to harveys i never play for me farmville is finish…. really !!! it’s the same for many people… and for Moi you can have farmhand and arborist is just 1 minute and you can harveys all you animal and tree !!! this is the most bad action on this game until farmville start !!!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 2:46 am
the tall grass is back to its old form!! yeah!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 3:17 am
happy days are over! no more rotating bulls and golden chickens!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 3:18 am
less hardwork
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 3:38 am
@ #21
BIG FREAKEN DEAL
they will grow back. its not like the ugly duckling or baby turkey that something will happen and NEVER go back~which is why farmville did not do that option for those 2 items (correct me if i am wrong, i do not have those items)
On another note: I love how they did this, but hate the update they did where you scroll over the menus on the bottom right and they automaticly open. I scroll my mouse over them often while waiting cause it was an area where nothing happened when you scrolled there. This is the only thing i think farmville should undo.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 3:47 am
why my message are erase ??? Yes it’s true i prefer the save to before and the clic left when the farmer want to move an animal is necessary !!!! if my message is erase another time i take a robot !!!!!!!!!!! all people can speak if you want just one idea i start another forum on facebook !!!!!!!!!!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 4:49 am
yay ! woohoo! yeeha ! i’m so happy about this
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 5:43 am
that sucks! i just tryed to make some fan-cow calves and was wondering. wtf they thinking! we have the farmhands to do this.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 6:07 am
ok, I’m very confused here.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 6:52 am
another reason why I liked to move my animals without harvesting:
I don’t need the coins, so I only collect form animals if I have farmhands, but I hate the pink flags, so I arrange the animals under the trees, so that the flags won’t show. Now when I move an animal I can’t tell if the flag will be hidden under the leaves, and I have to wait 2 days, then move it to a better spot, and then wait 2 days….
OK, not a HUGE problem, but I’d like to have that option.
Don’t you all like choices???
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 7:16 am
I have an ugly duckling ready to be transformed. And, I can confirm, it does NOT automatically transform with one click. It looks like it works the same as before.
I’ve never used the farmhands (I have some sitting in my gift box). I simply don’t have enough trees/animals for them to help. But, it seems with the one click harvesting, it makes them less useful/valuable.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 7:42 am
I wish this was a choice, too.
Especially the on mouse over menu bit. That is so annoying. It pops up every time I am trying to zoom in or out or get my mouse in that place by mistake. Irritatingly enough it does not go away on mouse out. If it did, I could live with it.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 7:44 am
I don’t understand really why they did the whole one click thing for harvesting. I mean, they gave us Farmhands and Arborists, that you click use and they harvest all the animals and trees at the same time. To me, clicking on an animal or tree to harvest, when you have the Farmhands and Arborists, is a wast of time. You have to click on every tree and every animal when all you have to do is go into your gift box, I keep no more than 10 in there, and choose use for either the Farmhands or Arborists. To me this one click thing is going backwards, from harvesting all animals and trees at once, to going back to clicking on each animal and tree again. And as for looking for Farmhands and Arborists, they come in those Mystery Eggs/Boxes from the Spring Basket. The one click thing is a bad idea. As is having the area where the gift box and all that stuff is popping up on its own. I’ve accidentally scrolled over that area and had to try and get those things out of my way. The only new thing I do like is how the Gift Box pops up on it own after you place an item on your farm. That I like.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 7:48 am
Hip hip hurray!!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 7:49 am
Option would of been nice. a bit redundant w/farmhands and arborists. Will miss opportunity to have calves & foals ….Bring back the Stallion for those of us that joined after Valentines….most of my friends are into crops and not producing baby animals!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 8:20 am
The pop up for the the “Multitool” and “Plow” get in the way when trying to click on the zoom in / zoom out buttons.
Also gets in the way of the “full screen” button.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 8:26 am
Hate it for way too many reasons. Main one the game is becoming frustrating and no fun.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 8:56 am
Vanessa: Not everyone has an endless number of aborists and farmhands.. I rarely have them. I’m really glad they made this update. I also hate the thing about the menus popping up whenever you scroll over though.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 9:10 am
I love, love, love it!!!
) Arborists and farmhands are not that easy to come by (at least for ppl who don’t harvest their stables 10000 a day), so this is really helpfull!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 9:15 am
I love this GREAT IMPROVEMENT! You have to be really careful with that tiny drop down list, because it has “delete” and “sell” on it. With this new 1 click harvest, there is ZERO percent chance of deleting something accidentally (unless you click the drop down list).
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 9:21 am
Yes, I’ve noticed this! It’s so much easier!
I’m really liking FV – Zynga lastest changes! Well done guys!
Now they just need to fix that multi tool thing…lol
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 9:25 am
I love this option . its great. Now at least I won’t have endless feeds for rare calves and lots of eggs from neighbours which I NEVER get.. Hope this is same for horses. I think they should only allow 1 mystery egg. 1 foal and 1 calf per day per person but then that is my opnion only. Good day
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 10:04 am
#41 you are so right… I will stick with Farm Town… been playing Farmville since it started and the so call improvements sucks…. even getting your gifts is awful… they are in two place now and if you do it from the wall and say yes you have more gifts to receive it takes you to your farm then you either stay there and do it or go back to the wall and get your gifts… at one point you don’t know what you received and what you haven’t…. I have a beautiful farm and from now on I will only grow crops and not buy anything new or try to redo my farm…. They should take a hint from Farm Town… I just love being in control as to what I do on my farm. The only problem I see with Farm Town is the gifts to send and I can live with that… Bye! Farmville! Until there is a move option I will just plant crops and harvest! What is good for one is not always good for others…
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 10:36 am
I have a stock of 15 arborists and 15 farm hands so i don’t have the problem of harvesting each tree manually, but just like some of you this goes to screw my plans to harvest multiple calves and eggs!!! I keep my dairy farms full and have some cows outside so I can get the calves (specially the fan ones) and the same with the chickens. So what I came up with is that I’ll have to harvest the animals outside of the buildings one or two hours apart, so for tomorrow I’ll harvest my building, if nothing comes up I’ll take all the animals from the building and put the one that is ready in an hour, and stuff it again, so in one hour I’ll have a dairy farm or chicken coop ready to harvest. Pain in the butt… but we’ll always find a loophole!!!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 10:49 am
This is a great improvement!
I have over 300 trees on my farm, all which are “ready” at the same time. When I use an arborist, I find a sharable collectible once every 3 harvests. When I manually harvest my trees, I always find at least 2-3 sharable collectibles! This isn’t fair, and takes the real benefit out of the arborist.
Am I the only one who has noticed this?
Also, I have noticed that certain trees yield collectibles more often than others. For example, my daughter has a huge forest of red Mulgohar trees – at least 500 of them. She finds collectibles fairly regularly. In fact, she found 5 sharable collectibles yesterday alone! I have an old, semi-retired farm which I use only for gifting purposes, which is now an apple farm – over 600 apple trees. I haven’t gotten collectibles out of them in 2 weeks! WTF?
Anyone else with such experiences?
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 10:52 am
Marvin30 – How can anyone waste so much time trying to breed calves and foals: just go with the flow of the game, it’s so much easier. I hope they come up with a way so that horses can also not be multiple harvested. It’s all fair then and everyone has an equal chance at getting everything even ppl who don’t spend F$ (just my opnion)
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 11:34 am
I personally don’t like this… While it saves time, it removes a lot of fun and originality of each animals… For example, for cow, you harvest milk, for duck, you gather down feathers, for elephants, you collect peanuts, for jackalope, collect IMAGINARY milk, for tiger, collect GOOD LUCK… If you want quick harvesting, use the farmhands. I used to collect good luck from my tiger cub manually ‘cos I thought it was fun… Now, it’s just “click to harvest”… not fun anymore
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 11:34 am
@ Nori… If you have ever played any other games you would realize how much Farmville actually listens to its players for feedback and tries to make as many people happy as they can. You won’t find this with many games video games, online games or anything. So be thankful for that and stop being a whiner. Nobody cares if you’re going to Farm Town. You’re actually making people happier so we don’t have to hear stupid, meaningless complaints. TREES GROW BACK… omg
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 12:17 pm
Anyone need help with any CO-OPs ? Ive got around 400 plots. facebook.com/smundy add me =]
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 12:47 pm
I have been waiting for this for century’s!! I even stopped harvesting my animals and trees because it took so long!! xx
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 12:53 pm
One other thing… I NEVER get ANY collectibles when I use Farmhands, no matter how many animals are harvested. When I do it by hand, I usually get twine, etc…
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 1:03 pm
Now i cant move my ready horses in to the stable
booooo
I suppose it quickens things up, but id like an option…
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 1:12 pm
Ya see, along with the addiction lawsuits, Zynga started getting a zillion carpal tunnel lawsuits.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 1:16 pm
Zynga should really consider a settings menu so we can toggle stuff like one-click harvesting to suit everybody’s taste.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 1:16 pm
farmville is near to loose many player if the clic left don’t come the same as before !!!! or the most good option is the option to harveys one clic or 2 clic !!! for the farmville staff you can une the right clic for this option !!! the player like when you can have many eggs, calf and foal… but not possible now until the last upgrade last 18 hours !!!!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 1:30 pm
#24 – it doesn’t matter how many people are playing FV… the reason we are not paying for facebook is because of all the people that buy Farm Cash… and I’m one of those people… for reason I’m not saying I do buy some maybe once a month… Well, I’m one of those million of people that help to keep facebook free. So if I and a million more stop buy Farm Cash what do you think will happen… Hmmm! Chew on that one. I do not plan on buying Farm Cash again and if other follow suit then who knows if Facebook will continue to be free…. Like the Farmville cards that you can buy at 7/11 or Target… guess what they are 3rd party cards and they do not work. So those that say to me that my trees will grow back in a few days.. That is not the point. I design my farm because I’m a graphic designer and enjoy just moving a tree and see if it fit in where I put it. but if it’s not in bloom then I won’t know until a few days later and realize it doesn’t look right and have to start all over again. I don’t have animail all over my farm… just special ones are out and the rest are gone… I guess all I can say is to each their own… but I have 3 farms in Farm Town and I will pay more attention in designing my 3rd farm and just pop into FV to harvest my crops and feed my dog… Everyone have a wonderful day and I won’t be back because I know someone will have something to say about what I wrote… God Bless!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 1:51 pm
“I won’t be back because I know someone will have something to say about what I wrote…”
I’ll bet $5 FV that Nori will be back in less than 24 hours…
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 2:01 pm
i think the same to Nori today is the last day for farmville if the option clic left to move the animal and tree don’t come back !!! me too i buy the FV cash and i think my opinion is important !!!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 2:33 pm
I LOVE this! It was so much faster to collect eggs today. (I have a full huge coop, and a bunch of chickens fenced in.) I too love to look of the fruit trees when they have ripe fruit on them, but I have NO problem with harvesting THEN moving them and waiting for the fruit to grow back. I was considering selling off a bunch of the animals I have that are not in my dairies, coop, and stable because of all the work it took to harvest… now I’ll keep them!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 5:41 pm
Thank you, Zynga, for making my life easier!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 5:45 pm
I love the one click.
Strange, I tell my friends I wish they would add the ability to harvest the animals and trees with one click, and it happens.
I also mentioned how I wished that the gift box would reopen after we take something out, and now mine does that on almost all items…
*looks for bugs in room*
Ok, now I wish I could get some of the FV cash items for coin….
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 5:46 pm
I am also a player who purchases farmcash. And I like to get the special horses and produce foals. That won’t really be affected since I can put my primer horses in at 34% or above. However; I was trying to figure out how to produce the special calfs and now that is out the window. This just adds to a long list of recent problems.
I would really like it if we could chose to turn the one click harvesting on and off. Because I DO see the benefits of it. There just MUST be a middle ground which would satisfy more people.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 6:41 pm
’bout time! This is awesome. Now if only they can do that with crops lol. (Though that would take the challenge away from the game)
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 6:45 pm
Plus with the trees, I still had the ‘turn on lights’ function at the bottom. I always am hitting that instead of ‘harvest’ by mistake.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 7:32 pm
The farm help and arborist may not be around much longer. Or at least not from the eggs. I used to do the chicken coop stuffing when the coops held 20 but now?? I had no idea people were still doing that for the gold eggs… wouldn’t it be kind of hard to juggle 60 chickens?
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 10:05 pm
thanks FV now I can budget my time harvesting FV your the best!
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 10:50 pm
no me gusta como pusieron eso porfavor quitenlo me gusta mas como estaba antes, esto esta fatal no me gusta para nada lo danaron
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 10:55 pm
why can’t we watch for our cows to be 99% or close to it? can’t we still play with that for producing calves? i haven’t tried it though.
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 11:17 pm
Nori, I would say something back, but I can’t really make heads or tails from what you wrote. Something about farmville going out of business if you don’t buy you farmcash from them once a month? bizzarre
Posted on April 23rd, 2010 at 11:19 pm
But not as bizarre as Steve…I truly can’t decipher his ramblings
Posted on April 24th, 2010 at 4:31 am
They might have done it to improve usability but its really annoying for the most part. I want them to add keyboard shortcuts… “m” for market, “g” for giftbox etc.
Posted on April 24th, 2010 at 4:34 am
P.S. and I also want them to add an option that says “Enable one click harvesting”
Posted on April 24th, 2010 at 11:25 am
DISLIKE
because i also prefer moving trees without collecting them since i have the knock-on-wood-blue ribbon…
Posted on April 24th, 2010 at 12:39 pm
I really like the one-click harvesting, but the auto pop-up of the tools is incredibly annoying. The buttons for full screen, ect., are way too small to access without mousing over a tool. The “time” saved by one-click harvesting is canceled out by having to get rid of the tool pop-ups.
Posted on April 24th, 2010 at 2:29 pm
Tool pop ups need to GTFO and stop ruining my life. /rage
Posted on April 24th, 2010 at 4:23 pm
I don’t like the pop-up for the tool box… is more easy for any error… and for me is clear if i don’t can move animal before harvesting Farmville is finish for me !!!!
Posted on April 24th, 2010 at 5:16 pm
I also hate the pop up tool bar because I use the zoom in and out feature a lot but I have discovered that if I scroll the tool bar down and just have the bar with the zoom in and out showing it is not a problem at all.
Posted on April 24th, 2010 at 11:12 pm
the last enhanced is the most bad until farmville start… Farmville play with the fire !!!!!
Posted on April 25th, 2010 at 12:30 am
i wish they just had a button in the corner that says “harvest all” LOL
Posted on April 25th, 2010 at 3:53 am
Love this update… saves a lot of time.. I dont have many farmhands and arborist….So, this update makes my life simple and easy…..
Thanks FV
Posted on April 25th, 2010 at 11:44 am
U can still do the rotation trick.
1. Make your person busy with either plowing or harvesting animals. The new update makes it possible to get ahead of the person.
2. When u are abit ahead, then harvest your cow. It will just fade out, but not harvested yet.
3. Now click cow again, and u can move it in house, and HEY it havent been harvested yet and will be 100%
Any had luck with that?
Posted on April 25th, 2010 at 12:15 pm
Click my name
Posted on April 25th, 2010 at 9:04 pm
interesting,I have not noticed the one click harvesting, I guess I use my farmhands and arborists, But what is this about rotating animals. for the last few days, I get 1 mystery egg, 1 calf, and sometimes 1 foal or other special item from the stable ( usually just coins) is this a problem, some of you people are trying to make a fun game into a contest and trying to get more and more of everything. there is no winner, I play to relax and relate to my friends, grabbing their collectables and posting some for them. we joke about what’s in the eggs, and finding gas (got beano). this is fun. pulling your hair out because you can’t cheat makes for much stress in your life, relax, play, live, love, play it is a game a great game but still only a game.
Posted on April 26th, 2010 at 12:29 pm
I like it.
But, I too do not try to cheat by stuffing the coops/barns/stables.
And I am sorry, but if anyone is truly a ‘graphic designer’ than they would think that FV isn’t that great because of all of the proportion discrepencies.
It’s a game. I play for free. If you pay money to play a beta version of a game on facebook, then you’ve got money to waste.
I dislike the whiners.
Posted on April 26th, 2010 at 7:40 pm
i love this sooo much
Posted on April 28th, 2010 at 5:29 am
I love the new 1-click option. Trees and animals regrow if you want to move them, and those people who were coop-stuffing and bull-rotating just have too much time on your hands!
Posted on April 28th, 2010 at 11:45 am
When I move my baby turkeys or ducklings – it stays as the harvest tool, no menu options. I’m too scared to click:(
Posted on April 30th, 2010 at 3:03 pm
Well, if anything could make me leave Farmville this will be it. I run an animal rescue on my farm, where animals aren’t exploited (harvested). It is basically a virtual version of my real-life dream that will probably never come true.
This update means I can’t move any of the animals on my farm ever again. I sure hope they change it so it is optional. One way to keep everyone happy would be to return the multi-tool to it’s original purpose (drop-down menu) and have one-click harvesting with another tool.
I am terribly, terribly disappointed.
Posted on May 31st, 2010 at 6:21 am
can we sell items with one click…
is there a cheat to this problem
Posted on July 19th, 2010 at 4:25 am
Very Very Thanks!! for this nice tool…
Posted on March 10th, 2011 at 1:41 am
hi
I want to harvest in one click
could you please advise
regards
John
Posted on June 24th, 2011 at 12:55 pm
I hate it..I can not send the animal that I harvest in the barns to my grandchildren or to other friends…….just plain stupid……….they should still give us this option……………this is not good for breeders.
Posted on June 24th, 2011 at 8:27 pm
Hate it, does not allow me to link my special trees to neighbors who want them and not to neighbors that do not share and hog all the items, I have a few young cousins that I also send them to…stinks for linking, I link the harvesting the cans ect…with one click.
Posted on November 20th, 2011 at 3:05 pm
Hope it makes it easier
