FarmVille adds “To-Do List” feature
As if virtual farming wasn’t already taking up enough of our time, FarmVille has added a To-Do List to help us maintain our farms.
FarmVille To-Do List Notice
The FarmVille To-Do List is a new feature in FarmVille that will allow us farmers to keep track of tasks we need to do such as sending gifts to neighbors, feeding animals and helping friends. Each To-Do List will reset in 24 hours.

I haven’t seen it either. Tell farmville to slow down on all the new features and stuff. It used to be so cool when they bought out something new, now it’s like we sorta expect it and wait for them to do it, which makes us greedy.

Total side note, but as a Farmviller that has been hiding the ugly duckling and baby turkey’s pink triangles for months, a stealth “nurff” Zynga has added is changing the positioning of the triangles so it is near impossible to hide.

I wish they would come out with an option to save the baby turkey and ugly ducks as they are. I have accidentally transformed a few of mine that I intended to save as they are. I think I;m down to 1 baby turkey and 2 ducks.

when the animals are ready they have pink triangles above them to let you know. the baby turkeys and ugly ducklings were like from thanksgiving. idk when they released the ugly ducklings but u could transform these animals into turkeys and swans when they’re ready instead of collecting from them

I noticed this too. The triangles look exactly the same, but are positioned differently, and some ways to hide them with other objects have stopped working.

@ AhzheyZ: i used to find 15-20 Mystery Eggs a day before. but despite a lot of work i could hardly find 5 yesterday. I didn’t try much today. Seems the chickens stopped laying Mystery Eggs.
My first discovery from 1 FV cash. then got 1/5 Fuel and a balloon with some chickens, Date and Banana Trees. by having many FV neighbors, I am getting quite enough gifts. But most of the gifts i get from Mystery Eggs are useless. not enough space to keep though farm is expended to 24×24.
I wonder how many players are impressed by the CRAZY “THEY OF MYSTERY” Ribbon. Well.. i am not..

They need to delete the “THEY OF MYSTERY” ribbon. No one will get it. How about a “MASTER OF THE MASTERY” ribbon (counting Mastery Signs). How about letting us see our neighbors ribbons and where they are on getting their Mastery Signs (seed count). It would create a little competition amonst neighbors.

I saw all the updates about new features today, and though I don’t have a “To-Do List” feature, why didn’t you update us about the “HOT ROD TRACTOR??” I just bought mine (required Level 10 in Mafia Wars, 30,000 FV coins, or 60 (I think) FV cash), I love this thing…3×3 plowing nine plots at a time! AWESOME!

@Adin personally i would expand, because even though you will get no xp from the purchase, you’d have extra space for crops. And if you have more crops then you will be getting more xp than normally, and also coins (from harvesting the extra crops), and you will then make the money up in no time and then you can buy an estate AND have a bigger farm =P

I’ve expanded. 566 of 576 available squares are filled with blueberries as we speak. Love the expansion because my primary goal is to get all of the mastery signs, and this will speed up the process by about 19%. Got my pattypan squash this morning, think that makes 21. Hope the next expansion is not a 26×26 but instead a second farm like they did in Farm Town. That way I could have one totally devoted to crops and another that can have some of the other crap on it that is currently gathering dust in my storage.
To do list:
1. Harvest blueberries
2. Break out the hot rod tractor for some quick harvesting
3. Plant blueberries
4. Repeat

I think the reason we’re having trouble finding mystery eggs is that Zynga has changed the odds of finding them. The XML now says chickenEggBaseChance=”0.05″, and I may be mistaken but I thought it used to be 1.5. That would make sense, because I got 1 out of my usual 3, and Dheeni also got 1/3 of the usual.

Alison, that math would make sense. That would mean that a full coop only will yield an egg once out of ten tries as opposed to one out of three. Hopefully this is a precursor of them putting some better gifts back into the eggs, as it seems like the market won’t be flooded with them anymore. Not only because they cut back the odds, but a lot less people may even try as many times now, knowing they won’t get as many. All in all, maybe a good move by Zynga on this one.

Rob – .05 means 1 in 20 chance, .15would be about 1 in 8 which is about what it used to be. I too got no eggs today which fits with lower odds. Thanks to Alison for spotting the small print. Not sure it’s worth all the effort now!

@Helen, .05 means 1 out of 20, yes I agree with you. What I said was that it is .5%, or .006 if you will, which means 1/2 out of 100. So if you had one chicken in your coop, you would have 1/2 of one percent chance, or 1 out of 200. If you have 20 chickens in your coop, that is .005 x 20, which is .1 or 10%. My math is sound, you shifted your decimal point one place to the right – it’s .005, not .05.

Also on the eggs, I am hearing stories now that lead me to believe that Farmville is “on to” the people who have more than one coop on their farm. One of my neighbors has 35 coops, he harvested them all and didn’t get a single mystery egg. Other people have had similar stories today. My secondary account has two coops, I rotate the chickens back and forth, I just did it 20 times and not a single egg. My primary account has one coop, I just harvested it and got a gold egg. Can Zynga/Farmville really be that astute and know who has more than one coop on their farm and block their eggs completely? Hmmm……

Thanks Dawn. I’m at a loss then to even try to figure this out. Helen, also I see now that Alison did say .05. Your math is sound. This doesn’t make sense to me now because before it was .015, so this would be a better chance as you correctly point out. Maybe she saw .005? Or maybe it’s .05 for a full coop? All I know is that there are a lot fewer eggs out there today. I can only hope that by decreasing the eggs that they will once again fill them with better prizes!
On a related note, and actually back on topic – how many of you actually have the “to do” list? I don’t seem to have it.

i been havin issues with mystery eggs, since the feeding took place i havent received a ribbon yet, since the ribbon came out i had 4 mystery eggs found, i lost about 70% of getting an egg, i had 14 feeds from me neighbours, last time i had a egg i had 7 feeds :/ not a single egg so far

Ah, you guys are right, my math was completely off. In fact, the XML says 0.05, but I have no idea what it used to say. I was just recalling that I had read 1.5 at some point on Farmviller. But now I’m incredibly confused, because if it was 1.5% or 0.015, and now it’s 0.05 (which I just double checked), eggs should be more frequent…?

Here is my theory about the mysterious shortage in finding mystery eggs:
Recently there have been many cows popped up being lost, want to adopt..etc etc and as said few eggs could be found.
I think zynga is about to release the coop and dairy farm expand feature. This way they want to make us wait desperately to getting back into producing eggs and find a place for all the lost cows.

I’m also getting sent back to my farm when I click on mystery eggs and collectibles. So annoying! I’ve also lost a few gifts today. FV also seems much slower than usual. Something is brewing…
I was able to download the Zynga toolbar – its okay but nothing to write home about. Is the toolbar the same as the ‘to-do-list’? This is very confusing because I can’t find anything about a to-do-list. Is anyone going to tell us where to get it?

since no one is telling us ****, i did a little digging. this is what i found. “There will be a clipboard icon under the game settings icons, when clicked this should popup.”
we should see a new icon, under the old ones, in the corner.
that wasn’t so hard, now was it? instead, you were talking about some freaking eggs, and by the by, that’s not even the right place to discuss the mystery eggs. ;d
like there are any good prices in them, anyway. ;d

I have been doing Farmville for awhile. Level 44. I can’t figure out what that chip or coin thing is that pops up while I am plowing. Can someone help me?

janet, from what i’ve heard, the coin is some kind of bonus. you get, like, 100 coins or so.

Hey farmfreaks
I haven’t seen this new feature and not sure what good it’d do as i have over 100 neighbors i’d like to ax it once it arrives.
@janet the flying coin is a 100 coin bonus and wherever it lands is where you will find the next one. Seems the higher you get up in levels the more coins you’ll receive. I get about 20 per harvest, adds up nicely
Anyhow a few things got from the gifts
1 FV $ twice they never showed up on my $ think they have a issue or scrooges on the FV money bit
twice 1000 coins
20 xp’s
pond
5 gallons of gas
way to many hedges for my liking
trees and farm animals. best one I received was that alien cow LOL
got the balloon it’s still in my gift box.
that’s about it for anything different. Almost like the xmas presents some are good some are so so……way to many white chickens

To Do list won’t do me any good. As my farm has been out of Sync since the expansion. I can do grandkids farm on same computer with no problem at all. But can’t do anything on mine. Go figure.No answer or solution from Zynga either.

Hi all another insider from Veggygirl when you are on facebook go to the offical farmville forum: The one you sign up for to get your 24×24 land. When you are there it’ll have the upload and tell you how it works with this new feature.
Word of advice: It’s not what most thought it’d be. It doesn’t keep track of who you gifted each day and it’s not what most think it’ll be a tracker. It is very simple, set up to help you get started at this game.
Personally I got rid of it have over 100 neighbors didn’t help much at all.

maybe the creators are still testing the list, before they release it. just check from time to time to see if there is an additional icon. but i thing there will be a pop-up informing us of it when that happens (;
and don’t worry, you’re not the only one who doesn’t have it.

Do the other animals transform into something else such as the ugly duckling into the swan? I heard that the turtle will transform but read nothing else about it

How PATHETIC! Zynga dont be ridiculous! You cant even keep up with your 24×24 enhacement for your patrons, why would you add more “crap” to take up space, I think people can tend to their own farms with out a “to do list”. Get it together PLEASE!

Ok, this may have been already discussed, but I honestly don’t have the time to read all the posts, so I apologize. Does the 0/20 mean that they’re changing our gift limit from 24 to 20? Also, does this mean that we’re only allowed to visit/fertilize 5 farms a day?? Just curious….Thanks.

@ teri who knows what they are up to. Right now i am ticked that I had to give them my email twice to get the pigeon coop and the mega pumpkins. Which are glitching my farm big time……why can’t they let us enjoy a item for a few days then add more later in the month. When I first started out playing farmville many moons ago it was simpler and once they went from Beta it seems to glitch more and more……
so to answer your question yes Teri there is a Santa Claus……LOL .

I have not yet got the “to do list” or maybe I am not looking in right place. Where can you find it or shouldnt a pop up come on your screen telling you about it first. Please help !

Very weird… just got a pop saying I had completed my to-do list… but I don’t have access to the to-do list. I’ve never seen it or used it. Come on Zynga – get with it!

I couldn’t find the to-do list either. I didn’t even get the first notice that tells u that a to-do list is now available but after I helped my neighbors and some other things I got a pop-up that said I completed my to-do list (like the second notice). I’m not sure what I did or how I’m supposed to find it either. Hmmm….

It doesn’t appear but after doing what in this website it said congratulations on completing today’s to-do-list .your crops,animals and friends are grateful to you and it said open your gift box and see what is there and I was shocked and after that when I opened my gift box there is a 45 fuel refills and a mystery box and when I opened it a while ago it’s a pony>_<:) xD

I get this to do list message from time to time… like just now, hence the reason i searched around for it. last time i got it was a about a week ago… i read that it happens SOMETIMES when you do ALL of 3 things… send 20 gifts, fertilizer x# crops and visit x# of friends… i think its 5 and 5 but i dont know…
