FarmVille Co-op Farming Issues Continue
In what was meant to be a huge update yesterday, Zynga released a new function for farmers, Co-op farming. This new feature allows farmers to work together to obtain a possible Gold, Silver or Bronze medal by working together to complete a challenge. If a Gold Medal is obtained, each farmer in the co-op receives a special prize (These prizes are listed here, http://farmvillefreak.com/farmville-uncategorized/farmville-co-op-farming-jobs-rewards)
Unfortunately there have been many issues accessing Co-op farming in game or joining a Co-op via the Facebook home feed. Recently Lexilicious (FarmVille Community Manager) posted this on the Official FarmVille Forums:
Hey Farmers,
We’re currently experiencing some technical issues surrounding our latest update (Co-op Farming), that our developers are aware of and are currently attempting to isolate and fix.
When attempting to join a job, some of our users may be seeing a message that states “Sorry, that job could not be found. Please join another job.”
Please be aware that our developers are currently hard at work to fix this issue. Once we have more information we’ll be sure to update you. Your continued patience is appreciated, and we thank you for sticking with us.

There are many angry sad farmers out there wanting to work together in the true spirit of Co-op farming, hopefully the Zynga gods can make this happen for us soon.

I think people just need to wait… LOTS are bound to be able to get into a job—- I found 7 jobs posted on my news feed yesterday & have them all waiting in my “all jobs” tab. I’m currently working on one right now too.

I’ve had neighbors wanting my help with coop jobs (I have over 400 plots) but can’t because most don’t show in the jobs tab. I did have 2 show up so joined one, it’s going well we already have all grapes planted, just waiting for harvest.

Looks like they fixed the issue with joining. I used to get a blank screen, but now it has a pop-up explaining why I cannot join. So I joined a different one with Pumpkins and it works fine!
So… Trying to help grow pumpkins now… Feels like my friends are a bit faster than me.
But otherwise cool! A reason to plant and grow other than getting more coins. Hope we can at least get a silver medal thingy.

The Co-op doesn’t seem to payoff worth the work they require. I do not have a need or have the space for another stupid trophy. The sheep are getting ridiculous! And coins are plentiful. When they actually have something worth getting it might get my interest. So I am farming as usual. I was kinda hoping maybe the farmer’s market was going to let us wheel and deal with neighbors for things we had that they couldn’t get anymore and vice versa… Oh well.

I’m already annoyed with the Co-Op Farming thing because the other farmers are falling behind. Everyone except one farmer has harvested the crop, and s/he has already waited past the Silver medal time (probably won’t end up with any medal).
Seems that you shouldn’t sign up for an event if you can’t finish it. Just sayin’…
I don’t think I’m going to be doing the Co-op thing since others are flakes.

But on the bright side, for me, I’ve not planted grapes at all before so I still need to master them. I’ll still get coins, xp, and mastery even if I get no medals with my $hitty team! hehehehehe

What I want to know is if 1 member of your team only plants one seed toward your task then when u finish I assume they get the Prize as well – which is not very good – Zynga need to think about that and also about all us farmers who have spent ages and already mastered the crops that have tasks out – Why would we want to plant them again.
Is there any point in earning bronze and silver: – I mean there is no prize at the end – so I would only do a job if I knew I could get gold

Nope…there is now way that I will be doing the co-op farming. It’s stupid and pointless. I am not deleting anything that I already planted for some to complete their job. Give me a freaking break! Thought we were helping out by fertilizing and feeding chickens?

I’m losing all my gifts!!! I think this issue (gift) won’t be fixed anymore! The Zynga “gods” only care about new stuff! I’m so sad! Yesterday i lost like 100 eggs!

I’m not clear on how the co-op works, but i saw a post here saying 1500 crops have to be planted! Even if i had no decorations on my farm 24 x 24 = 576. That doesn’t add up. How many chances do i get to plant something? Personally, about 75% of my farm is stuff other than crops, so i’m wondering if co-op isn’t really for me? Why would they make something that goes against buying items with FV cash?

Those of you who’ve already mastered these crops, don’t you earn more money for replanting them now that they’re mastered?
And what about those at level 70 already? Why the he[[ did they CAP it off? Do they not want more money from those loyal farmers?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? They want them to quit??

@sage #2 YoVille has been in ‘so-called’ beta stage since release over 18 months ago so ‘beta’ to Zynga is an excuse to say that their games are in testing stage and can and will be buggy.
It is like when they say ‘Coming Soon’ could mean anything from days to months to even years as in YoVille they have said that VIP and the Tent are coming soon for 18 months.
So we can not take ‘THEIR’ word for it EVER! they like to sit their producing games and taking our real money (whether we buy the virtual cash or just by adverts) and claim everything is in beta and will be buggy

My Co-op farming is not yet working but I wish they would resolve the issue of rewards posting. Every time I post an egg, fuel, anything, nobody can collect. They just get a message saying the well’s dried up, all eggs have been hatched, etc. This is NOT due to me having too many neighbors. I have tried posting to only one friend and she still gets the same messages. Yes, I’ve tried posting to different friends at different times. This has been going on for over 3 weeks now and there are numerous posts on their forums from others experiencing the exact same problem. So far there has been no word from Zynga on whether they are even working on this issue. So frustrating. I’m level 68 and none of these are new neighbors.

I play this game daily and the game being beta is a great excuse for bugs. However as popular as this game is and as many people play it you would think they would fully release Co-op farming to everyone at the same time. Or don’t release it till it is ready. As for the dogs, why is it they can release new animals for farm cash and as mystery gifts (the winged mystery boxes) but can’t seem to release 3 simple dogs?

and ive had 3 separate accounts and i havent seen any of these…

Zynga should fix Farmville’s existing problems with (Farmville has been enhanced) before taking on something else that has proven to be just as glitchy and frustrating as the rest of the bloody game.

I would like to know if someone joins a co-op but doesn’t plant anything can they be kicked off the co-op. What if one farmer plants 500 of a crop another only 50. How does that work. Farmers with large farms may join several co-ops if say only 100 of a crop were required to join the co-op. I think a number of plants should be required to gain the benefits of joining a co-op

It’s working for me. I only want to do it for the grape sheep, honestly… Otherwise, I have no room for more plots (I’ve got 400, but I want to get all the masteries too) AND all the trees, animals and decorations. The whole thing is really stupid! Instead of thinking how to get like 80 FV$ from us for the dogs, they should realise they would profit more from people getting multiple cheaper FV$ items IF people would actually have more room to put/store them… And on top of everything, they come up with the co-op, so people would actually stop buying decorations and start planting stuff like crazy…

1 qs : does any seed u plant count towards task if u havent joined group but plan to join one when u have completed your current task for example: I am waiting for pattypan to grow now so I cant start another job until that job is finished! so can I still plant pumkins overnight so they can count for the next job I start or do u have to join the group and only then will your pumkins count

I joined one of the neighbor co-0op but i do not know what i suppose to do; I can not accept other job untill this one finish or quite…………but I do not see my name on his chart…………I will try my to night . I really want a dog to help out around the farm. I hope he can run around the farm. My real Chocolate lab is very old and sick at the moment he is sitting right beside me. I am glad he can not read this comment……

I wish you could join more than one job when you have a large field of crops. I would like to have half my field for a longer job and the other half for a shorter job. I wish you could kick people off the job if they are being slow in harvesting. It would be nice to have larger farm land so we can have more space for plots and still have buildings and animals to look nice.

I am little frustrated, because few of my friends couldnt join the co-op even though they are beyond level 20, they got failed to join message, and there is only one day left for gold, like unwither, they could give extra days for days they couldnt resolve the issue.

Like I mentioned in another thread, before you join an existing coop be sure to check to see if the originator…1. has planted the designated crop yet and how many lots they have prior to joining it. If you don’t then you are wasting your time. Don’t join an existing co-op in progress if you cannot plant the designated crop immediately. You are preventing a more qualified person from joining that co-op. Don’t start a co-op that you have no intentions or time to plant and harvest the designated crop. If you do then you are wasting everyones time. Research what you are joining first. Yep there are people that latch onto an existing co-op and plant zero crops which is what irks people the most.

I think co-op farming is uninteresting and has very limited options. I have already mastered these grops and dont find the need to grow them all over again. Kills the excitement right there. I should actually be able to get help for whichever crop i need to master, rather than having to pick out of 4 options only.
Secondly, the prizes are just not worth it, and the sheep are taking over my farm.. I should just call my farm NewZealand-ville.
Thirdly, If i do start a job and quit it by mistake, there should be a way to refresh that. eg: If i restart a new job it should automatically detect what crop i am growing and update the information. Rather than me having to wait another 8hrs/16hrs /1 day to restart a fresh job.
I think overall its uninteresting and has a lot of flaws, and doesnt seem to hold my attention for over 5 mins.
Hopefully the dogs will keep us farmers excited once they are out!

I joined a co-op yesterday. My close on 400 previously planted plots of Morning Glory counted towards the seeded total and meant that we had reached our target. I harvested them this morning. No mention of the co-op whatsoever. They simply didn’t count. I know that previously planted seeds should count because another member joined and had harvested 15 plots within 6 hours of joining (Morning Glory takes 12 hours).
Beta or not, bitching or not, that’s 12 hours of my time and the rest of the co-op’s time down the drain

Jobs are now available, but when friends click to join they get expired message or similar, I also can’t help with their jobs. Leaving all plots unplanted ready so it’s very frustrating!

I started a co-op Saturday, Apr 3. Five farmers took the challenge with me. The co-op progress board did not display the sixth player, leaving me as the ‘leader’ to make excuses and encourage her to continue. The group could surmise the efforts of the sixth player were being counted, since the progress bar tracked her work for the group as well as on the sixth player’s farm when she seeded and harvested.
The tutorial leaves a lot to be desired in thoroughness and clarity.

There seems to be another Flaw with the co-op which is -
If i plough pumkins on eg 300 plots… and delete 10 plots…The count should show 290. Instead if i re-plow the count on the co-op doesnt change.
If i replough 10 plots with pumkins the screen should update with the math 300-10(deleted plots) = 290 + 10( reploughed) = 300
Instead the count is simply 300+10… Which means the deleted plots will be counted along with reploughed plots will makes my total… 310.
Which is unfair cause ppl will just cheat!

I think the people that show up with 0 are not people that didn’t harvest in time. I think it’s people that either decided to change jobs and the screen is not updated, which is unfair to the ones remaining in the co-op. They don’t know who is still in our who is out and therefore can’t replant or get anyone else to join.
Or, and it happened to me that I joined a co-op and even though it counted the patches as I was planting, when I was harvesting, the counting screen didn’t pop up, my harvest was not counted and therefore my count was 0.
There are still too many glitches with the co-op, so don’t lay blame too quickly.

not thrilled about the whole co-op thing. i’ve joined 2 and seemed like i was the only one that planted the crops. i thought it might be fun, but i think i’m done. i’ll just finish getting my mastery signs and sit here and hope for them to give us more levels.

Yes… the glitch still exists because there is no job posted when 40 minutes ago someone asked to have people sign on with them. I will try again tomorrow. But it’s just one more thing.
I still have neighbors that are not showing up on my screen- and they did before!! (they’re just gone now, though I can still reach them through the neighbors page.)
Yes it’s a free game. Yes it’s working for many people. I am happy for all of you who have no difficulties. On the other hand, I am very sorry I am one who has difficulties. Not so amusing, or game-like.

FV has glitches with this game already… it is a shame… 2 of my team members have not been able to join our 3rd quest…
We got GOLD for grapes… love that little purple ewe!

My FV neighbour and her daughter were sooo disappointed when they received the
“sorry that job cannot be found… please join another job” what a terrible shame.
They have since joined another group planting pattypans again… they had no other choice.
Fortunately my team of 5 (includes me) small group…have already achieved our planting goal and will receive GOLD yet again as long as when it is actually harvest time we can get on our farms without any white windows or glitches!!

I’ve tried 3 of these jobs now. Had at least 4 neighbors ready to jump on board and plant at the time time. All should have gone as planned until one of the neighbors could not get into the job. Same problem as listed above. No reason why that neighbor could not get in “sorry job cannot be found” when you click on the JOIN button. 2 out of 3 jobs were screwed up by this. And then the others of us all sit around with empty fields, waiting for the second batch of crop to earn the XPs. This is not very fun at all.

I’ve been having difficulties with this as well…I started a job, posted the post to ask for help, and from what people have told me, they expired…even one I posted thirty seconds before, it expired when someone tried to join. If this new is going to continue being this problematic, I just won’t use it. Zynga should have waited to make sure Co-op farming did not have any bugs in it before releasing.

Zynga needs to extend the time for gold by at least an hour. For pumpkins it is 16 hrs for gold, a person can only get 1 planting in during the time frame. That is roughly 460 crops each for 5 farmers. If I was to start a co op I would at least like to be the hardest worker and get 2 plantings in, but I can’t. I have to rely on my fellow farmers to plant the max and hope we make it. Seems a little unreasonable since some of my friends can’t even plant that many at once

Guys, please can anyone tell me how many persons, therefore neighbors can join a job?
To the one who says that it’s a free game, i must say it is true, it’s free for us but not that it doesn’t give any profit to Zynga or FB at all. So it would be a little more descent if they appreciated the time we spent or i should say hours we devote and be a little more concerned about things they release. Anyway it’s a lot of fun killing time when you have the chance.

My co-op works sporatically and will only allow 3 people in at a time. If this follows the usual course the problem will limp along w/o being addressed because it IS working for SOME people SOME of the time.
And yes, I know this is a Beta Site – all the more reason to fix bugs.

Farmville Co-op issue
After 2 friends joined a job I started, no one could join anymore as it gave the error message “Sorry, that job could not be found. Please join another job.” Then one of the friends who got that message showed up as a co-op worker but whatever they were planting, was not adding up to the job. I want to quit my job and my 2 friends who joined were able to quit it, I unfortunately can’t quit the job to start a new one as the friend who showed up as being part of the job after getting the error msg is still there. When this friend goes to her co-op on her farm, it says she is not in any active job. PLEASE HELP…. Plus I am not able to add neighbors even after neighbors accept my invite.

I had no issues joining a job, but when I start harvesting something I’ve already planted BEFORE joining the job, it doesn’t count towards the trophy! I had a giant field of pumpkins “go to waste” because of this. They need to get it together.

I am not able to join any of the job from a wall post.. it gives me error message that “this job could not be found, find another job ” what this message is for please help me out… and also my friends are not able to join me if i start a job…

There still the issues in the CO OP game, when I tried to join a Neighbor Job it appears a message telling me that the Job is already full nor doesn’t exist!!
Why is this happening?
I have just finished a Job and there were no issues like this.
Is there a limit of Neighbors who can participate in a job?
Does it depend on the kind of job?

Me and my three neighbors planted 100%, when we all went to harvest, we harvested 100% but three did not count, it looks like we are short 3 plants but three did not count and now we are stuck, we could not go back and try to plant three more to then try for the silver because it shows 100% planted already.

really farmville u need to focus on bring out one new thing at a time you bring out co-op then all these new animals ect…. i think u r over loading the system before you get all the glitches out yes this is very upsetting to me and many other friends who enjoy playing farmville………….

I have noticed that some of my neighbors are back in my “select friends to add as neighbors” box, although they are still in my neighbor bar at the bottom of the game app. This could explain why we cannot find each other in the co-ops.
Please check your “select friends to add as neighbors” box in the “my neighbors” tab, and resend a neighbor request to those people. Hope this helps

I have a coop that started with 5 friends, the record showed 1500 pettipan squash planted as required on my as well as on the other members record. At the time of my harvest I attempted to plant additional crops, just to ensure we have no short-seeding…and it did not accept additional plots to the job. Then, when harvesting the final batch – ( 7 hours ahead of the gold- award time) suddenly we found we had 2 plots short and additional team member who was not visible til then appeared in the list – who holds 2 newly planted plots. Now the whole team is stuck, the silber medal has just expired …Does any one has a solution to this.?..As teamleader I cannot quit the job and am stuck! Another person has signed up although there is no more seeds to plant – I do not understand how it is possible and think we should have a choice to select and remove non- performing team members, to avoid this problem?

My co-op planted 1500 crops. At harvest time, we ended up 3 short, have no idea where those darn soybeans went. We’re in limbo waiting for another farmer’s crops to finish. The last farmer joined after we reached 1500 planted. Will crops from the last to join count toward the 1500?

I started a Pattypan Squash Co-op. 5 friends joined and we had the total 1500 planted. When i came time to harvest..one of my neighbors harvest was not registering. So after realizing we were not getting anywhere all the people on my job quit.
The problem. I can’t quit my job because the neighbor whose harvest was not registering is still on my job. Even though she quit and started a new job she is still on MY job. How do I get her off. She can’t help because it is not registering on her end.

My co-op is bugged! I cannot join or start a co-op job. each time I try to join a job it says “job does not exist” When I start one it says computer out of sync.
It all happened during my last co-op job. When I logged in it said no active job! And the other farmers lost the bonus.

My co-op is all messed up. I can’t get on any because it says that I am already in a job, but the job isn’t there so I can’t quit it. We had 10 people on the job and 7 of them are having the same problem. HELP PLEASE!!!

My co-op is messed up! I can’t join a co-op and when I try it says “job does not exist” When I start one it says game out of sync. This happened during our last co-op, two people out of 9 were ok but the rest of us can’t get on our co-op.

I don’t know what to do. I can’t get on a co-op. Every time I try, it says that I am already in a job. I finished the job I was on, but didn’t get the points for it. Now it won’t let me join any. I can’t start or join a co-op either. I have a team who depend on my field and I need this mess fixed. I can’t even get a support ticket to go through. It keeps saying it wasn’t submitted and that there was a “problem encountered.” Grrrrrrrrr!

I used to get the error…can’t participate…failed to join job because it is already full or doesn’t exist.
I started my own crop and completely harvested it by myself. I received zero medal coins and XP points (because it was just me). Now I can join any crop successfully. BTW, all of my co-op statistics were reset to zero two weeks ago without any harm to my ribbons.
FV life can go on…even if you get the wind knocked out of you.

Hi , We have been successfully completing many co-op jobs till last time. We all joined the job ( up to 10 people and you have to join before seeding is completed though or you can’t see the job anymore) and we finished harvest all crops we needed and after that we didn’t get finishing job announcement , gold medal prize , money and xp….anything !!! and our job was just vanished !!! Has anybody experienced this problem?

Great, I finally got to join a Co-op after 2 weeks of trouble and when I finish the job, nothing! No prize, no points, an now I once again can’t join. I am sick of this mess. Well, no Co-op for me still. It is going on 3 weeks and not fixed. My friends account got fixed but mine still isn’t. After one day, their Co-op messed up again and now they also can’t join. This is stressing me out instead of being fun. We are all going to quit FV until they can pull it together

All of my friends have been having FV Co-op issues for quite some time, but up until yesterday, mine was working fine. Now my FV account has joined with the rest of the messed up ones. Wow, this makes me so angry! They want to sell us gift cards to a game that doesn’t work. If I am going to spend my money, it is NOT going to be on a product that doesn’t work!

I am annoyed that persons are able to join a co-op AFTER all is seeded and they join within hours of getting a Gold medal. something needs to be done. Why gain when you DID NOT, DID NOT seed at all. It is called stealing and it irks me, whether game or not.

I am having a lot of trouble with the game. When i go to “game request” and click to accept a request; I am sent to the game itself. I have to click out of the game and go back to game request. When i click to accept another request, i am sent back to the game. I have 102 request to accept. I will quit playing the game rather than go through the hassle of accepting gifts. Also, when i do get in the game and try to ask friends for items; a screen comes up and i have to click on the people I DO NOT WANT TO SEND requests to instead of people i do want to send to.
I would like ONLY the people who play that particular game to show up on the screen instead of everyone i know. In other words, only the people playing that game should be involves. Someone not playing should not show up ion any lists.
I thank you for your consideration. I will wait a few days before i decide to quit playing this game all together. I like the game, but am not very satisfied with it right now.
