FarmVille early Friday updates: Sneak Peek
Since FarmVille missed it’s regular update night of Thursday, we all know to expect Friday updates at some time today, 01.15.10.
FarmVille Freak user Kosta got an early sneak peek of FarmVille updates as his farm “enhanced” that we would like to share with everyone else.
These updates will include:
- The Sweet Seeds for Haiti Campaign to help Haiti earthquake victims. Seeds will hit the market today.
- The introduction of rare FarmVille collectibles that you have to “find”.
- Limited edition PEACE items available in the FarmVille Market!

Mine did that to, I clicked on gifts and saw there is a new giftable firefly and peace flag.
They went away now though.

i was just trying to send free gifts and i saw something intersting there were “dragonfly(collectible)” and “durian tree” gifts but when i tried to send them the old page containing old gifts(with fuel and goose)came back! did that happen to someone else?

Me too. It also had the opportunity to send a dragonfly, peace sign and new tree via the free gifts but they have not come though properly

I received (and was able to gift but didn’t) a COLLECTABLE (quote) Dragonfly. When I tried to accept it it said it was a limited addtion and was no longer available. It hadn’t been available for more than a few minutes, I’m sure. I gifted the new Durian Tree, and when my friend accepted it, it failed to arrive in her inbox. I also saw a Peace Flag. They’ve all now disappeared from the Free Gift page. :/

Soo.. “you can FIND rare items” … is this any indication that maybe we will be able to “find” things on our neighbors farms while helping them out? Much like the lost toys in PetVille? That would be a fun interaction with neighbors! I like it!

i recieved one dragonfly from a friend but when i opened it . Farmville said that it was a temporary “gift” or something like that and i didn’t found it on my gift box and it has expired. Does anyone else had that problem??

Hubby gifted me the dragonfly, but when I went to accept it, FV said it was no longer available. This was within seconds because he works & plays from home & yelled that he had sent it. I’m not going to waste my time or gift requests on these LE’s if they are going to disappear that fast. I’d rather reload looking for eggs & lost cows– I’m far more likely to end up with something that way. Way to upset a customer who actually spends money on FV cash, Zynga.

I got the “Farmville has been enhanced” pop-up, then refreshed and saw the same ads. But the game would not load. So I’m assuming they backed out the changes and are working to resolve the bugs.

Hey all- someone just gifted me a dragon fly! but when trying to accept it, i got a screen that said it was part of limited edition then skipped to my farm. A dragonfly! i wonder if this will be an animal or decoration.

Then it enhanced and it went back to the old stuff.

Collectables can be found while harvesting, fertilizing, and gifting and if you collect all you get a special reward.

Refresh your browser and you will get an award in your giftbox called “crunchie” award and it will give you 1000XP.

Yay it’s all on there now you guys!! BUT the peace sign you can buy for 3000 is so small, talk about disappointing!!! Anyway I got gifted a Dragonfly and it said i had 1/6 Insect Collectables, anyone know what the other ones are yet?….Oh and the dragonfly/insect collectables do not show up on your farm, not quite sure where they go yet, i’m hunting it out!!

Okay collectibles are under ribbons, it’s a raised up tab when you hover over the ribbon. It also just refreshed (YET AGAIN!) and shows all the collectable items you need to get to fulfill a collection. No sign of a reward for fulfilling them yet though….

So i just put the crunchie award on my farm it increased my XP +800 and then it told me to refresh and my XP went back down

I got the Crunchie but no XP. Also, where did the dragonflies go? I was given 4 but they’ve all disappeared.
