Farmville introduces Crop Mastery
Farmville announced on 09.29 that there will now be levels of Crop Mastery.
Levels of Crop Mastery in Farmville
Each crop will have 3 levels of mastery. With each level of mastery completed, you earn a star and will be rewarded with Farmville coins and XP points. The amount of coins and XP points varies depending on the crop that you are harvesting and the level you’ve mastered.
Here is a handy updated list of the 3 levels of Crop Mastery per Crop, provided by Farmville Freak, “Kearn” :
Crop Name : 1st star level / 2nd star level / 3th star level (mastery).
1. Artichokes :200/400/1500 mastery with 4 days harvest time.
2. Watermelon : 410/410/130 mastery with 4 days harvest time.
3. Yellow Melon : 425/115/1350 mastery with 4 days harvest time.
4. Corn : 425/215/1600 mastery with 3 days harvest time.
5. Cotton : 300/150/1125 mastery with 3 days harvest time.
6. Potatoes : 425/215/1600 mastery with 3 days harvest time.
7. Red Wheat : 410/820/3075 mastery with 3 days harvest time.
8. Wheat : 200/100/750 mastery with 3 days harvest time.
9. Bell Peppers : 350/700/2625 mastery with 2 days harvest time.
10. Broccolli : 425/325/550 mastery with 2 days harvest time.
11. Cabbage : 500/375/2187.5 mastery with 2 days harvest time.
12. Eggplant : 175/135/230 mastery with 2 days harvest time.
13. Pineapple : 425/850/3187.5 mastery with 2 days harvest time.
14. Squash : 200/150/875 mastery with 2 days harvest time.
15. Grapes : 425/850/1275 mastery with 1 days harvest time.

Too bad we can’t go back in time and be rewarded for all those crops already harvested!

Take a look at those numbers again today. Sometime overnight they increased the harvest needed for each mastery level. I was 100 shy of level 2 grape mastery last night, now about 350 shy. Noticed that watermelons went up dramatically, level 1 is now 410, a lot lot more than the original 100.

I think there is some weird glitch on the mastery. i started planting strawberry seeds to gain mastery points. i now have 657/500 and it hasnt given me one star yet.

The whole mastery thing is turning out to be rather sour feeling. Was cool looking at the beginning, but these glitches and changes are making it annoying.

The Crop Mastery Signs are just a decoration gift that you get by mastering 3 levels of a crop.

XP= Experience Points. You need XP to level up. One way to earn XP is when you master each level of a crop, you receive XP points.

The +XP means that some of the crops you plant after mastering the crop will grow larger, and you’ll get experience for harvesting them. I don’t think you need the sign on your farm to get the experience.

The amount of plants needed for the third star on smoe of these plants seems a bit ridiculous. But I’m going to keep working on the mastery because there isn’t much else to do without any new expansions!

I still don’t understand what the point of mastery is. I have level 3 mastery for artichokes with this sign and all, and i don’t get any extra XP when i plant (or harvest) artichokes. Is there an advantage for me to keep growing artichokes or does this mean i have mastered that crop and should now move on to others??
also, why do two-day flowers wilt faster than two-day vegetables?

I have crop mastery for grapes and put the sign out. When harvesting your grapes with level 3 mastery and the sign out, you randomly get +2 exp when you harvest a grapes patch in addition to the +270 coins.

yo tengo el master en arroz y el de los girasoles nivel 3.y sigo plantandolo,la unica diferencia que he podido observar es que los girasoles tardan un dia en el nivel master1,23:30h en el nivel 2 y 23h en el nivel 3.pero no he visto que suba la exxperiencia cuando los cosechas,aparte de los 250 xp que te dan por conseguir el master de nivel 3.solo he visto de diferencia lo del tiempo,estoy en el nivel 34y ahora despues de haber plantado lo que no hay escrito que pongan esto para empezar desde cero con algunos fruto me parece fatal.ahh las bluesberries para conseguir el master3 hay que plantar 12000 ahy es nada.jajajajaja.pero bueno poco a poco supongo

As soon as u reach the 3th star level such as for grapes, u will earn at that time extra XP points and coins also.

I know someone that recently started a farm in farmville. They are at level 8. Crops mastery has not been available to them since the beginning. Does anyone know why?

I have a big feild of land on Farmville. I did artichokes and i caculated that i could get all 3 stars in one planting. Well when i harvested I only got the first star. My question is. “can you get more then one star at a time?” Like i said i have a big enough feild to get all 3 at the same time. So i was just wondering. Plz get back to me

Edward, yes you can get more than one at the same time. I did the same thing for artichokes, and it worked correctly. Perhaps your farmville connection dropped or your farm bugged at that time, which sucks.

Edward – your calculations are wrong. If it says your target is ’275′ then that’s just up to the next star, whatever it is, not to completion of the the third one.

soy beans are by far the easiest and fastest to master. ive also mastered strawberries, but crops like that with low harvest time keeps you very busy and cuts into your sleep time lol

After you master a crop do you have to keep the sign out to get the random premium crops? If you delete it or store it do you still get to keep it?

The XP for the mastery sucks.. After harvesting 28 000 blackberry crops, from a field of 455 squares, i only got around 200 XP. I’ll see next time if the No. of XP is the same. But, I’m disappointed. Looking forward to sell Everything and to plant only 4 days crops.. to have more time to sleep

When Harvesting your crops, you do not get XP unless that crop has been Fertilized!! you only get XP when plowing and planting and after you have mastered that Vegetable/Seed!!

Where do you GET the mastery sign?? I mastered several crops already , Got the nifty pop up message and all that… and have no idea where my crop signs are….?! I have looked everywhere. Can someone tell me where to find my signs?

So this is a little off topic, but how do you take the photo of your “entire” farm, like to submit it to the farm photo contest? when I try to use the one on farmville’s thing, it crops it with this red box and only gets a portion of it. I have no idea how these people get their whole farm in these pictures. Can someone tell me how to do it please?

Andrea : You could probably set our farm in full screen mode and do a print screen (Locate the PrntScrn key on your keyboard. Once you have your farm in full screen mode, simply press the PrntScrn key. Then go to MS Paint or any other photo editing program and press Ctrl + V)
