It looks like it is not working for the majority of people and those that did hear said it only worked for the first 5 minutes it was up.
On the bright side, there are hints that there is going to be FarmVille Penguins, interactions with neighbors farms, new crops, and more limited edition Winter Holiday items soon.

“Hey, farmers, welcome once again to the official FarmVille podcast. My name is Lexilicious and I am the FarmVille Community Manager. We have some really cool stuff to talk about this week. We had a lot of really cool releases, I’m going to be giving you some tips and tricks, but the coolest part about this podcast, as always, is that you guys are going to be getting an exclusive sneak peek of things coming your way in the future.
:THE LONELY BULL & BABY CALFS:
So, after the past couple of days, some of you may have had a chance to preview one of our newer features, the lonely Bull. The lonely Bulls are FarmVille’s newest adoptable animal. However, these lonely Bulls aren’t like any other adoptable animal you guys have seen so far. After adopting a lonely Bull, he can be kept on your farm like a normal animal, or he can be placed in your Dairy Farm. when you place a lonely Bull in your Dairy Farm with other Cows, you have a chance of receiving a baby Calf when collecting milk from your Dairy Farm. The more Cows you have in your Dairy Farm, the higher your chances of receiving a baby Calf. Now one of the coolest parts about this feature is that you can receive different colored baby Calves. The color of the baby Calf you receive is also determined by the color of the Cows contained in your Dairy Farm when you collect milk. For example, if you have 15 green Cows, you have a higher chance of receiving a Green baby Calf when collecting the milk. If you choose to keep your lonely Bull on your farm like a normal animal, he can be brushed every 24 hours. (With some animals in FarmVille, brushing takes the place of collecting.) Every 24 hours you can collect 80 coins from your lonely Bull by brushing him. When you receive a baby Calf, you will get a pop-up that informs you that your new bundle of joy is interested in exploring the outside world. Post a feed to your wall, and your FarmVille neighbors will be able to adopt your baby Calf. Personally, I’ve been getting a kick out of adopting some Alien Cows for my farm. So get out there, try this feature, and I’m sure your friends will be more than happy to return the favor.
:SNOW BLANKET:
This week we also released something that has never been done before in FarmVille: winter is finally well and truly here, and in order to really get into the spirit of the holiday season, we have released a new Snow Blanket. The new Snow Blanket feature allows you to change the landscape of your farm. To place a blanket of snow on your farm, simply click on the “Upgrade Farm” tab in the Market, and select the Snow Blanket option. If you wish to change your farm back to the default, Green Pastures, you can find the option in the “Upgrade Farm” tab of the Market. Please remember that to change your landscape to the Snow Blanket or Green Pastures costs only 1,000 coins.
:LIGHTS & SNOW:
We also released the new lights and snow feature this week, which appears to have been a big hit with the community. The new lights feature will allow you to decorate most pre-existing buildings and items with colored lights and snow. Now, there are two ways to pay for the lights feature: firstly, there is the Lights Decorator for single items. This costs 2 Farm Cash and it will enable the lights function for only a single item. Upon initial purchase, your cursor will turn into a pink light bulb, and every building and item that is eligible to be decorated will be highlighted in pink. Each item you click will apply lights and will deduct 2 Farm Cash. If an item that had lights enabled is sold, you will be credited for this light, and a new building or item can be lit in its place at no cost. The second way to pay for this feature is to purchase the Unlimited Lights. This costs 30 Farm Cash, and it will enable the lights function for all clickable items. A great thing about this feature is that the lights will be available all year long. If you wish to have buildings with lights on them in July, so be it.
: DECOR & MYSTERY BOX:
Along with the Snow Blanket and lights, we also released some really great new limited edition winter holiday items. So far, it seems like these decorations have been a big hit with the community, and along with this release came the addition of a new Mystery Box. This new and improved box contains some awesome items, and, as always, this box is limited edition and won’t be around for long. These Mystery Boxes are a great deal for only 16 Farm Cash, so make sure to pick yours up while you can.
:HOLIDAY TREE:
And, lastly, there were some adjustments made to the Holiday Tree. The Holiday Tree can now hold up to 100 presents. Remember: the time to open your presents is coming soon. Gifts can be opened from December 24th to January 7th, so start sending those presents to your neighbors. And, as with all of our features, we would love to here your feedback. If you have any opinions you would like to share, please visit the official FarmVille forums or www.farmville.com.
:FarmVille Decorating CONTEST:
And I think that’s about it for releases this week. Another thing I do want to let you guys know is that we have a winter holiday decorating contest coming up. The winners of this event will be receiving some awesome prizes, and will have their farms featured on the FarmVille loading screen. Make sure to check out the FarmVille forums in the coming weeks to see when you can enter.
:TIP:
Now, this week’s tip for our newer users has to do with neighbors. Instead of purchasing animals and trees from the market, add some neighbors. Neighbors can send these items as gifts to you for free. Neighbors can also send you various gifts and items that you may find useful on your farm. Don’t forget to return the favor by sending one back to them.

I think it really sucks that all the important items available for farmville are only available via farmville dollars … what about all of us who have no credit cards … we have no way of buying the good stuff … cuz the brillant people who design this game have chosen to keep things away from us … that really stinks

Suggestions – abominable snow man; wagon wheel ruts in the snow;farmville animals going on a hayride; chestnut trees;evergreen trees with snow that melt in the spring; more environments; not just grass or snow but melting snow and in the fall, slightly different color grass; oh, and more flower crops…my favorite? Hollyhocks! (a tall flower in amazing colors)

After Christmas, I think it would be nice for us to be able to have some flying birds over our farm like blue birds, red birds, etc. then have birds to lite on the ground, then take off & fly around the farm just like they do in real life. That would keep it more interesting when we’re planting & working. ALSO, can you fix the cursor when we’re planting & harvesting so that it’s more stablized & doesn’t jump around & be so spastic as that makes the task take too long. It really would be GREAT if we could HIGHLIGHT an area we want to plant & do it “all at one Click” instead of it being so lengthy. That takes so much time that I am beginning to dread harvesting & planting, but I love farming & taking care of the farm, except just that part.

i really hope it’s a penguin. and, if you want something that’s only a few farmcash, you can make a new facebook, friend your real self, and level up quickly. that’s what i did and i was able to send myself a lamb! but anyway, i really love all the holiday stuff and hope they come out with a weather farmhouse, polar bears, dogs (especially a husky), and maybe a buffalo of flamigo or llama.

I wish that they would make more items available for the people that have moved up to higher levels. I’m at level 45 and there really isn’t any reason for me to try to get higher. Nothing to “work” for. I also wish that they would add 1/2 fences and hedges so that you can “stack” things better. Some kind of stepping stones or building blocks of some kind so that we don’t have to use bales of hay to make steps and walls. I really like the cute decorations but they need some more building materials. I agree with the people who like birds, bees and things to fill the sky with. Wish that we could have night time on FarmVille so that we could see our lights working!!!!!!!!!!!!

the crops that they should have are vanilla beans, peanuts, rosemary, cocoa beans, radishes, mushrooms, celery, cucumber, cauliflower, cantaloupe, zucchini, rutabagas, rhubarb, garlic, turnips, parsnips, spinach, bamboo, brussels sprouts and a bunch of flowers

Grow mistletoe for New Year’s. Red roses for Valentine’s day.
Daisies. Flowers that are multicolored like the ghost chili.
What about mastery signs for animals and trees? Pecan tree.
Instead of a pink “teardrop” over the ready-to-harvest animals, how about the item you are harvesting. Like a feather hovering over the ducks, swans, and turkeys. A milk bottle over goats and cows. You get the idea….

Like different coloured horses! Or a stable!!! (Like the dairy farm/chicken coop)…. And it would be super cool to have a stable with a stallion, so we could get foals!!!

I think they need to create a “Money Tree” that Harvests FV Cash in so many days.
In order to keep it from getting out of control they could place limits on the number of Money Trees you have on your farm in a similar manner as they did for The Chicken Coop/Garden Shed Etc.
It would be cool if you could have up to 3 money trees, that you see FV Cash growing on when they are ready to harvest.
Even if they made the tree 24 hours to harvest- 1FV Cash Per tree, per day, for a total of 3FV Cash a Day and a Max of 21 FV Cash a week, I don’t think anyone would complain.
They could even create a “Money Grows On Trees” Ribbon to go along with this, harvest so many in order to earn ribbons.
This would be an amazing new feature, as Zynga owes it to players to show a little charity, especially to those they ended up screwing over with the third party scams to earn FV Cash….
Just a thought. I normally buy some farm cash each month (Sort of works out to paying a premium subscription rate, in order to get the extra stuff. However, I still think there should be some other ways to get FV Cash (Since there used to be and now there is not), and a Money Tree would be a great way to do that!

I bet all of you who keep asking for elephants never got the elephants in the first place, face it they won’t bring it back and why would they bring them back now, probably next year so to bad. The elephant was a LIMITED time only animal like the baby turkey.

@ Dan with comment #49, Zynga would not put in a money tree, that would be a very bad choice for there company. They would loose money and profits as people would not buy FV money any more. and even if Zynga did decide to put “money trees” in market, you probably have to buy it with FV money anyways, at an expensive price like 40 FV dollars.

I really like all the updates coming on farmville!
I think zynga is actually getting better at offering awesome coin items in addition to the fc ones. The reason more people are complaining that there are “too many” is just ’cause they’re really cool. If you want em, support zynga and buy em. If not, there are lots of other options. The fact that theyre so tempting is what keeps people buying them. I can only imagine how much money zynga’s made off farmville alone, ’cause I play cafe world and wouldn’t dream of spending money on those items with the small space availble to use them on.

Really glad they’re adding more crops, getting kinda pointless to get to a high level when there’s nothing to unlock once you get there… Love some of the stuff that you can buy with Farmville Cash, just wish there was an exchange rate to turn coins into cash. Something like 100,000 or 200,000 to 1 FC would be fine with me.

I love the baby lamb and I’m so happy that you brush it when it’s ready. I have to hide the poor baby turkey’s pink teardrop behind a haystack. I can’t wait for the penguin!
However, I’m worried about the new “interactive” features with neighbors. If it is stealing, if they provide a guard dog to prevent stealing, I’ll be ok. If they don’t, then all my neighbors except my family and boyfriend will be removed. I do not want to spend so much time planting, arranging, harvesting and the rest to have a bunch of neighbors profit from my work. Now I’ll be thrilled if we’re allowed to send objects to our neighbors at our choice. That would be sweet! (Especially since I’ve got three fire pits and my sister wants one really bad)
