FarmVille releases Collectibles
FarmVille released a new feature called Collectables or Collectibles.

Collectables can be “found” while you are plowing and harvesting your farm or fertilizing and gifting your FarmVille neighbors.

If you find all collectibles in a set you will receive a special prize. There are currently four sets of Collectables that include:
- Gardening Tools Collection
- Country Kitsch Collection
- Bugs Collection
- Feather Collection

For more details about Collectibles read below from Official Zynga Forums:
“You can now collect items by doing various tasks around your farm to earn special rewards!
Collections:
At level 10 you will receive a pop-up stating that you are now able to find collectible items. The collections menu is located as an extension of the Ribbon/Achievements menu.The collections menu features four different sets of collection items. You have a random chance to find these items via specific routine activities (plowing, harvesting from trees and animals, fertilizing, and some can be gifted).When an item is found in game, a message appears above the Neighbor Bar alerting you to the item that was found, what set it belongs to, and how many more items you need to complete the set.
As items are collected during the game, they are gathered in the collections menu. When Uncommon or Rare items are found, you are given the opportunity to post a feed to your wall that will allow 5 of your friends to get the same item.
When at least one of each of the items in a set is collect, you can Trade In that collection for a reward:
* 250XP
* 5,000 Coins
* Or 5 Tanks of FuelYou will able to hold a maximum of 10 of each collectible item, and can Trade In collections as many times as you have a full collection available (the number of each item in a set decreases by one each time the collection is traded in).
Following the reward, you’re able post a feed alerting your neighbors of your achievement. Any friend that clicks on this feed within 24 hours will receive a random collectible from the same set that was completed.
Gifting Collectables can be done via the Free Gifts page, where a single collections item will appear in the first slot of free items. The gift that is available is changed after a period of two days.” (Source: Official Zynga Forums)

Everyone gets a Crunchie award in their gift box. When you place it on your farm, you get 1000 XP. Also, anyone who is a ‘fan’ of FarmVille on Facebook will be getting a reward in the next week.

I found the “Rare Blue Feather”, but don’t know how. I didn’t have any of them, but harvested all my trees and animals. No notification, but then I refreshed and it was sitting in my collectibles box. Wish I had gotten some notification as to where/how that happened instead of it just showing up randomly.
I also have the giftable dragonfly which was in my gift box first, and then I had to “Use” it to put it in my collectibles box.

I have received 2 dragonfly gifts. When I “used” them, I looked in my box and each time had another random bug in my collection! I have a caterpillar and a beetle, too, but never actually received them from Zynga for doing anything! Woo Hoo!

Collecting items? That would take up people’s time…in my opinion, a good choice for Zynga…adds something else that we can get.

Caterpillars come from harvesting trees. I harvested exactly 100 cherry trees and got 2 caterpillars. That’s how frequent “common” is.

Stupid question: you find these items while plowing, and harvesting. Do you have to be using the tractor and havester, or can you be doing it by hand to discover them? I wouldn’t put it past Zynga to make you be using a tractor or harvester to find them…

Hey There, I’ve harvested, plowed, fertilized, harvested animals-trees- helped neighbors STILL no collectibles- I’m wondering whether or not it’s because my farmer is blocked in with haybales and/or I’m using a tractor/harvester/seeder– does anyone have any idea about this??

you know for the buildings, it would be awesome if the farmville developers changed the buildings that we could go inside and buy furniture and other stuff. it would be AWSM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (emphasis on the word awsm)

First of all , you will never beat the hackers cheaters and the people with bots. It sad . I like to think I am a hard working gamer. I no there is no way to have everything in a week or so other than cheating ,regardless what any one tells you .double and tripling how many farms you have . the number is endless. That being said you can block out all others from getting the bonuses or collectables and have your 3 or endless farms generating bonous for your one farm . the bot or atuo roll chip that atomaticly works your farm 24/7 is un competable against . It like any sport. any one building at a increadable rate should be ejected from the game. Face book and farm ville know people are doing this. how can I compete against this in the farm of the week when i am against all this.Only allowing 50 post will not stop this. it only herts the fair players.There is issues in farm ville right now and farm ville has posted this . get this, it not u farm ville, its the bots. Its not about being the best its about doing your best and having fun doing it . (FAIR PLAYING FARMMER )

Ok I know this is an old thread but i didnt know where to comment…Since they changed the gifting ways now I get all the same collectibles..like when someone finishes a butterfly collection I ALWAYS get the Emperor. When i claim the gardening tools its ALWAYS the gloves..UGH I can NEVER complete one like this!!!
