Zynga the developers of FarmVille have added more currency options for purchasing farm cash.
They now have currencies available from around the world, so that everyone has the opportunity to purchase farm cash.

of course!! more ways for zynga to get money!! this is just getting ridiculous. we should all boycott buying farmcash so maybe theyll start making some things cash-affordable. i REALLYYY hope that they dont make the farm expansions only available with farmcash. because that would be absolutely ridiculous.
Posted on January 13th, 2010 at 10:34 pm
mabye if i pay in euro or something less value then the dollar i can get farmcash cheaper
Posted on January 13th, 2010 at 10:49 pm
I cant see this option.
Posted on January 13th, 2010 at 11:05 pm
I think something is wrong. I am level 27 and I only have 28 FarmVille dollars. I think I had like 31 FarmVille dollars just the other day. Did I glitch somewhere?
Posted on January 13th, 2010 at 11:10 pm
You know, it is run by a team who actually spend hours working to keep farmville going. They have to get paid somehow. If you don’t want to pay you can still enjoy the game. And besides, something like the new mystery animal costs 20 FV cash which is only $3.50. $10 for 3 weird animals, that’s not too bad.
Posted on January 13th, 2010 at 11:10 pm
*sigh*
I’m contemplating purchasing farm cash…honestly, I rarely even like those buildings that are always expensive but I love collecting the animals – and I’ll never complete my topiary collection otherwise.
Anyone know whether or not if you purchase with credit or PayPal the company adds additional charges afterward for any reason? I hate trying to decipher their legal writing, it’s late.
Posted on January 13th, 2010 at 11:19 pm
I’m sure other people have thought this so I’ll type it out loud. I think it’s a good time for FV to release a new Sweet Seeds for Haitti.
Posted on January 13th, 2010 at 11:54 pm
@Kira – No, PayPal and the credit card companies don’t add additional charges after you purchase FV cash. If you buy $20 (real dollars) worth of FV cash then that’s all you get charged. I’ve used PayPal before and there was no extra charge, if there were I wouldn’t buy FV cash. Hope that helps!

Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 3:55 am
Stupid idea, boycott.
They make an amazing game, and the suport is always on to help us, they deserv all money. I pay with pride.:P
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 4:34 am
Who else here have paid for Farm Coins? $40 to get 70.600 coins, lol
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 4:35 am
Jefferson
You must obviously work for Zynga as I have NEVER come across anything that has so many flaws, bugs & glitches in a Beta product in 20 years of testing beta &alpha products!!!!!!
Support takes too long to resolve minor issues and major issues… well not even going to go there!!!!!
Keep paying, and add an extra few bucks to compensate for those that refuse to pay for development puposes (as there is nothing to stop Zynga from making people pay a subscription when it comes out of beta stages!)…….
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 4:54 am
I don’t know what the big deal is guys, it’s not even that expensive. Personally, I buy Farmcash on a consistent basis.

what do text do most people use to make the “freak”
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 7:56 am
@SkunkGrower
It’s a free country. You have two options:
1. Continue playing without paying a dime and keep whining.
2. Stop playing.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 7:58 am
BTW, I don’t see currency option on that screen.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 8:05 am
Ohhh its not gonna working for me anyway…because my currency is not included there. But I’m gonna mad for this new update..I had 8 farm cash just the day before yesterday but from yesterday its showing 5 farm cash..why farmville can never update the game without messing up everything….grrrrrr !!!!!
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 8:57 am
@ FarmFreak
How can your handle be “FarmFreak” and you don’t know that Farmville is created by a company called Zynga?
@ all the whiney peeps who don’t want to spend money
STFU! We get it. You don’t want to spend money. Good for you! You also like to complain when they don’t do things the way YOU want them done in the game. Good for you!
Why do you play then? And why do you play enough that you look up info on the game on sites such as this and feel the need to comment. If you love the game THAT much, giving them $5 every now and then shouldn’t be be such a loss.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 9:04 am
@Bob
FarmFreak was correcting the typo (Znyga).
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 9:19 am
@Janise – Thanks! I tend to be distrusting of Internet purchases. ^.^
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 9:25 am
there maybe no connection but i used paypal for the first time to pch fv cash coz i recon that the price of the pleasure and stress busting i get from playing is worth the odd three quid i buy, but only two weeks later my bank was cleaned out by a mystery person via paypal and as it happens i didnt on that occasion recieve my fv cash either.zynga say they didnt receive the money but it went from my account. it hasn,t happened before but i am wary of buying farmville cash because of paypal and also i didnt get what i paid for .
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 10:42 am
Sorry but there are some bugs in the game- not to mention the amount of glitches. But apart from that, a very good game. PS> more seeds and animals would help
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 11:06 am
Why do people keep fighting for this kind of things?!?!
We know that some people like to spend real money in this game and some people will never do it!!
The thing isn’t to boycott Zynga, because I’m aware that they need to pay their employees, bills, etc etc etc!!
I’m just only saying that I would we GREAT if the people that DO NOT want to spend money on a virtual game, have an opportunity to buy all things with the coins that we’ve earned!
For example… The animal mystery box is 20 FV$ which equals to $4 Dollars! and 7,500 coins equals $4 dollars as well… that means that 20FV$ = 7,500 coins for the same price…So, how about if we get a Mystery Box for 30,000 coins… it’s about 16 real dollars!! That sounds great and we can also have all the new things that you can only buy with FV$
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 11:10 am
I cant see the option of different currencies when i log in
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 11:17 am
Seriously? People actually pay for Farmville $$’s?
You people do realize that Zynga is paid in advertising dollars? If you want to help Zynga, click on their advertisments and support them that way.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 11:23 am
I agree with Pam. I know they need to make their money, but for those of us who don’t want to spend their money there should be an option. Even if it costs a lot of coins we should still have the opportunity. Personally I don’t have the money to spare so getting a mystery animal isn’t an option for me, even though I’d really like one.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 11:28 am
@Pam86
Your idea sounds great. But I doubt if anyone is going to spend real money to purchase FV cash when there is an option to buy the very same items with coins.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 11:59 am
@ Fanta! Yes I thought about it too
but this are some of the things that requires FV$ :
1. Animals (6)
2. Mystery Boxes ( 1 every week for each thing)
3. Buildings (17)
4. Trees (1)
5. Fuel and Upgrade Farms.
6. Decorations ( About 40)
That’s a lot of stuff!! So if we think for a second… we would actually need to be in a high level saving a lot of coins, clicking on every ribbons our neighbors gain (and that’s actually almost nothing, and/or harvesting a lot of crops every 4-6 hours!! haha So even if we have 1 Million coins I bet we would spend it in less than a Week!!
So I insist, It would be awesome to be able to do that…
ohh and SEND gifts to our Neighbors AGAIN!!
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 12:07 pm
Smart move from Zynga, I guess, ‘fixing’ the prices in other currencies than the dollar. Being in Europe I certainly benefited from the strong euro => calculated from dollar to euro on my visa bills turned out I was getting pretty good deals (f.i. there were times when the 40USD went for 27euro’s and at one point it was only 21euro’s).
I understand that Zynga/Farmville must find ways to get in money, although they do go a little overboard at times (especially considering the neverending glitches, bugs and issues with the game). Also 20FV for some stupid, oftentimes ugly animal? Not buying THOSE, I’m telling ya!
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 12:13 pm
I dream of a day to cash in the roughly $3 million coin I’ve accumulated for real money, which at the lowest exchange rate would be about $1,700.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 12:30 pm
@ Pam86
1) Most of the animals can be gifted or found in the Mystery Eggs. Sooner or later, the animals can be purchased in the market. I have about 50 animals on my farm and I didn’t use a single FV dollar to get them.
2) Not buying a Mystery Box will not affect the quality of your gaming experience. Only one ribbon rewards you for buying the box and like the animals, mystery box items will be released in eggs, gifted, or purchased with coins
3) Buildings also can be found in eggs and again, not purchasing them will not affect your gaming experience and few have little use aside from decoration
4) Are you seriously complaining about the one tree in the market that cannot be purchased with coins?
5) If you didn’t get fuel during the promotion week, well then, that’s on you. Especially since it was extended. Fuel can also be found in Mystery eggs. If you don’t wait to pay for refills, then plant your farm in sections so that you don’t use the whole tank which will be refilled in 6+ hours. Are you really playing that often in a single day? As for the upgrade, that can be easily achieved by adding neighbours.
6) Decorations are just that. Decorations. My farm looks pretty cute (damn near close to the real thing) and I did not spend a single FV dollar for any decoration.
By the way, I only have three neighbours that play regularly so some ribbons/decorations/buildings are unobtainable to me and I am fine with that. You should be too.
Happy farming!
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 12:43 pm
@ Char
haha I love my farm!! ohh and
but I’m not complaining of anything, if you read my 2 message you’ll see that I’m saying how great if would be if we can do it with coins hehehe not complaining at all
Thank you very much for writing a long message
And I know you can get things in mystery eggs, not all the buildings, nor the only tree, or some decorations…
So again, thanks for your post

Slightly off topic but I too have been cheated out of FV cash. I’ve never bought FV cash with real money and after this I probably never will. Last night I started a barn raising and got extra storage space with the help of people on the FarmvilleFreak forum. I was chuffed as I got the storage space i wanted without having to spend any cash. But when I logged back into FV a few minutes later all of a sudden I had a third expansion on my red barn (3 silos) and they had taken 10 FV cash for it!!!
I never started a second barn raising and I certainly never clicked on anything to authorize more extra storage space or that I would pay for it in FV cash! So what now they’re actually taking your hard-earned cash without even asking if that’s okay?!
I agree it’s everyone’s own decision if they want to spend real money on FV or just play the game for free, even though I too am annoyed with the recent trend for FV cash-only items. I stuck to my decision to play for free and have been patiently saving up for weeks now to reach 16FV so I could at least buy one Mystery Box. I was 1 FV cash away and now this has happened!
I understand technical issues are bound to happen and I’ve been very patient throughout the recent difficulties but this glitch is the final straw. I sent an email to Zynga to complain but doubt I will get a reply. This latest issue has really taken a lot of enjoyment out of playing FV for me!

@Bob as Fanta said, they first say Znyga at the title, understand sarcasm next time you comment my posts
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 1:57 pm
i cant see this option !
y ?
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 2:52 pm
@ Tim
I totaly agree, especially now, i have purchased sweet seeds twice and will purchase them again, i planted and harvested them both for a solid weak strait non stop-lol. It gave me good coin and xp.
@ pam86
That’s a fantastic idea!!! I would gladly trade coin for fv$.
@Char
I agree somewhat about the animals becoming gifts and such(which kinda sux) becouse i purchased animals with fv$ -a lamb, a baby turkey,an orange tabby, a lop eared bunny and a clydesdale horse- i thought i would be the only one out of all my neighbours to have theese animals- now everybody has lambs and got baby turkeys from x-mas presents, i got 4 more lambs that i didn’t want, more baby turkeys that i didn’t want-i just hope that the orange tabby, lop eared bunny and clydesdale don’t become FREE. It’s kinda not fair to suddenly start giveing them away for free after spending real money on them, besides some of my neighbours have things that i don’t have and can’t seem to get nohow- a tree swing, a fire pit, from MY golden egg- I WANT those items so bad—i will even pay fv$ for them.
Anyway- i think i might purchase the animal boxes… i don’t know. Oh what should i do, buy or not buy?
I love farmville and i love my farm.
☺

@Brenda I bought one animal box and got a pea**** on the first attempt. Love it!!!
To me, go ahead and buy one. Any animal from there will definitely be one of a kind (maybe for now).
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 4:36 pm
@Fanta
That’s what i want!!! They are so cute! Yes your right it will be one of a kind animal for now. I love the animals.
ohhhhhhhhhh………..ok…i’m doin it.☺
I’ll be back to let y’all know what i get.
Is there a way i can post my link to my lovely farm so ppl can go look at it here?
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 5:09 pm
I got a buffalo!!! he’s ok– i really wanted a pea**** tho—oh well– none of my neighbours has one, not yet anyway.I have 40fv left and i’m almost tempted to get another one. If i do i hope it won’t be a duplicate. Speakin of duplicates, it would be really cool if zynga introduced trading in the game, that would be SOOOOOO awesome.

” Three of our top games are participating in a special relief campaign to help earthquake survivors in Haiti. Zynga is donating 100 percent of the proceeds from non-withering white corn within FarmVille, a Haitian drum on Mafia Wars, and a special chip package in Zynga Poker to support emergency aid in Haiti through the Zynga Haiti Relief Fund. Users can also support the fund by donating directly through Zynga.org, on this page. [...] ”

Awww … that buffalo is very cute.
I read from this site that it’s coming soon. And yes, you can post the link to your farm by clicking at your profile on the main FB page. Your URL will show something like this:
http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#/profile.php?ref=profile&id=xxxxxxxx
Copy your profile id number (xxxxxxxxx), and simply put it at the end of this link: http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/index.php?visitId=xxxxxxxx
For example, my profile id 664572266. And here’s the link to my farm:
http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/index.php?visitId=664572266
Good luck!

To all the people who say buying farmville cash helps to pay the developers – it doesn’t!
Zynga make their money through advertising revenue and selling the players personal information, so every one of us has in effect ‘paid’ for using this game. If a few people want to pay extra for additional items that’s fine, but it is not their main source of income. If everyone who paid to buy farmcash quit then Zynga would have a bit of a problem, if everyone who didn’t pay to buy farmville cash quit then Zynga would go bust immediately!
Anyway the point is they should be serving the majority of non paying players, because that is where their revenue is, not the few people stupid enough to put real money into a pointless online game.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 5:19 pm
@FarmFreak
Sorry, misread your post(s). My bad. Don’t hate me.
@Everybody else
A coin to cash conversion would be great. It needs to be low enough that it’s not unobtainable, but high enough that purchasing FV-Cash still seems a reasonable option to those that do. I’d say 100,000 coins = $1FV
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 5:33 pm
One question.
Why did the option to send mystery boxes and building and some stuff like that is not working rigth now?
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 5:34 pm
Well
If zynga is releasing sweet seeds for Haiti, i will have to buy more fv cash then, especially now.(this will be my third time donating with sweet seed for Haiti.)… and i think i’m going to get some more animal mystery boxes.
O well…..what ever makes us happy.
I love farmville and i love my farm.
☺
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 5:37 pm
@ Brenda
Yes, there is a way to post the link to your farm. I have shown you how but seems like that post is awaiting the approval from the moderator.
@Sam
“few people stupid enough to put real money into a pointless online game.”
If it is a pointless online game, why you are here?
I pay for good movies. I buy good DVDs. And once in a while I pay for Farmville cash because it is still cheaper than buying a DVD.
Oh, most importantly, because I can afford it and definitely, my farm is much cooler than yours.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 6:05 pm
Confirmed: Offers are coming back!!!
I saw it while hacking my way through the add cash page
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 6:07 pm
@ Fanta
I love seeing other nice farms, can I see yours??
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 6:28 pm
is there going to be an update tonight?
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 7:01 pm
@Kira- Glad to know you were able to see my message! Yea, I am like that too with buying things online! The good thing about paying by PayPal or by credit card is that tracking your usage is easier plus you can always dispute a charge! ^-^ I try to research things first before I dive in head first! If you want to be FV neighbors, let me know! Take care!
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 7:06 pm
They should donate some part of their earning to Haiti. I would buy FV just for that reason.
With that said, please text: Text ‘HAITI’ to 90999 to donate $10 to Red Cross relief efforts! or, Text ‘Yele’ to 501501 to donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund.- OR https://secure.unicefusa.org/site/Donation2?df_id=6680&6680.donation=form1
Sorry if I am off topic but I thought it was important to mention.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 7:18 pm
@Sam: Really? What ads are you seeing on Farmville.com that I’m not? Those ads on the sidebar of Facebook are Facebook ads. Facebook is making money off of you playing Farmville. In fact, Farmville regularly pays Facebook to attract players to its game!
As for the personal information thing, my spam has not gone up since I joined Farmville, so they are obviously not selling my information to third parties–so no revenue there either.
So the logical conclusion is that Farmville is supported solely through Farm Cash, and that if some of us are “stupid enough” to pay for YOUR experience as well as ours, so be it. Go play another game that doesn’t ask for optional money if it offends you so much.
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 9:58 pm

Thanx for showing me that i can post my farmlink☺
Now i need to know how to do the smilies.

@Pam86
The link to my farm is in the previous post (Post No. 47). Hope it is nice enough. >:)
@Brenda
Awww … that’s a tough one.
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 8:46 pm
Apparently, i can’t see the currency thingy on my farm and i have purchased farmcash many times before.
Then i asked all my friends (from my country) who have never purchased farmcash… they all can see the currency option. I don’t know if having a purchase record have anything to do with this. Is yes, then it’s rather silly. Why is it farmville treat cash buyers differently? I also found out that with the currency converter, it’s actually cheaper than buying with USD straight. Just because we buy farmcash before, doesn’t mean we don’t like special price… oh whatever.
Posted on January 16th, 2010 at 2:45 am
There is no tab to change currency.
Posted on January 24th, 2011 at 6:27 am
Does anyone know how to take your email off the Paypal option link?
