Lots of FarmVille Freaks are spotting the Zynga and 7-Eleven cross promotional items out in the wild! We’ve already seen some 7-Eleven Zynga packaged Donuts, Ice Cream, and now Slurpees and Super Big Gulps! Check out the Slurpees and Big Gulps provided by FarmVille Freaks Marissa C. and Makaivier.

Remember that even though you may be able to purchase FarmVille promotional items found at your local 7-Eleven stores, you cannot redeem the offer code…yet. Despite, some labels such as the Slurpees advertising that you can begin redeeming starting May 17th- December 31 2010, they are still not available for redemption.

In the past few weeks we have heard rumors that FarmVille as well as other Zynga games would be breaking away from Facebook. There has been much speculation that their current partnership has been fraught with tension, much of it over the recent addition of Facebook credits. Purchasing Facebook credits allows a user to purchase one type of currency to use towards virtual dollars ($FV, for example) for many games played through the social networking site. Currently you can purchase 500 Facebook credits for $50.00 USD, which you can then cash in for 310 $FV. Facebook takes 30% of the profit right now, so it is easy to deduce why Zynga may have been unhappy with the situation. This may have changed, because they have now made a new agreement. Zynga and Facebook announced today a “five year strategic relationship that increases their shared commitment to social gaming on Facebook and expands use of Facebook Credits in Zynga’s games.”
The founder and chief executive officer of Zynga,Mark Pincus, gave the following statement:
Facebook was a pioneer in opening their platform in 2007 and in just three years tens of millions of Facebook users play our games everyday, from FarmVille and Café World to Treasure Isle and Mafia Wars. We are excited about Facebook’s long-term commitment to social gaming and Zynga, and look forward to working with them and other platform providers to bring the best social gaming experience to users worldwide.”
So, Zynga and Facebook have clearly worked out their differences and it would seem that Facebook credits may be the way of the future, or at least a large part of purchasing virtual money for Zynga games. There are currently 239 million people who actively play Zynga games monthly, and 500 million Facebook users. This partnership is mutually beneficial especially since gaming is becoming the most popular feature of Facebook.
There have been many rumors about Zynga releasing its own gaming platform, Zynga Live. It will be interesting to see if that now will still come to fruition.

A: This segment was replaced with the user-submitted question portion, but if you would like to see it return than please let Zynga know via the Official FarmVille Forums.
Q: How long it takes to implement a new feature or item into FarmVille?
A: The time depends on how complicated the feature or item is. All items must be passed through the creative director who works with the FarmVille team to take ideas to the next level.

We’ve compiled a list of 7-Eleven items along with corresponding prices and prizes.
As new items are discovered, we’ll be updating, so be sure and come back to this post to check!
Please don’t be frustrated with your 7-11 if they do not have the items yet. The promotion is scheduled to start on June 1st, however lots of stores have items arriving already. If you’re hunting for items, try the highest volume 7-11 stores in your area.
There’s also several other items featuring Zynga codes, such as individual size chips, 4pk donuts, and hot coffee. These appear to all be for other Zynga games. As soon as we are able to use the codes, we’ll report if they are able to be unlock the Goji Berry Crop.

Tonight the Goji Berry seed was added to the market, but it not yet available for purchase. We already posted that this new seed would be part of the 7 Eleven exclusive item promotion. The Goji Berry seed will mature in 16 hours, cost 15 coins and yield 126. There is still no confirmation whether this will be a masterable crop.
(maybe some awesome FarmVille Freaks or neighbors who live by a 7 Eleven will help to provide codes).
