FarmVille English Countryside Poster

While on a tour of Zynga with Mayor of New Jersery Cory Booker, a girl happened to take a picture of a FarmVille poster! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, it really may be!

You can see that this poster is of the soon to be released FarmVille English Countryside! A farmer, along with what looks like a pilot, is headed towards the faraway buildings, of which the Big Ben is visible!

If you recall, FarmVille Freak also recently did a post about the FarmVille English Countryside Q&A. In that, one of the questions answered by Lexilicious and the FarmVille team was as follows:

Will we have to purchase the English Countryside with Farm Cash or add new neighbors if we want to play?

No! You won’t have to add new neighbors in order to travel to the English Countryside. Everything you need to do can be accomplished with your existing friends and neighbors. It won’t cost you Farm Cash, either.

We want all of our players to try farming in the English Countryside, so we’re making it as easy and fun as possible to get there. The deed to your second farm might literally fall out of the sky and land on your farm!

Does this mean we will be travelling by air to our FarmVille English Countryside? You may also recall the Duke’s Airship post that FarmVille Freak brought to you, which asked you to help repair the Duke’s broken airship, so you can “liftoff” to get the FarmVille English Countryside.

In a recent Facebook notification from the FarmVille English Countryside, they announced a new sweepstakes to farmers that will include a trip to England!

Several farmers swamped the discussion board hoping that their question would be answered, so be sure to check the FarmVille Forums to see if yours was!

Will our neighbors be able to visit our English Countryside farms? Will they be able to “help” on my farm?

All your neighbors will be able to visit you in the English Countryside to see your new English Farm, and we think you’ll be eager to show it off. They will also be able to help you by fertilizing your English crops, tending your chicken coop full of English chickens, and so on.

We’ve tried hard to make farming in England feel new and exciting, while preserving the gameplay our players love, and making it super-easy to get started and build your farm up right away. We hope it will seem fresh and fun, but also familiar and comfortable.

Why do we need so many boards, bricks, and nails? I’m running out of room in my gift box.

You’ll need boards, bricks, and nails to build things in the English Countryside, just as you do at home, but if you’re running out of room in your gift box you probably have enough!

Will there be new crops/animals/decorations that are only available on the English farm?

Lots! Almost everything on your new English farm will be something you’ve never seen before. Your second farm in the English Countryside will offer the chance to grow new crops like English Peas, King Edward Potatoes, Blue Bells, English Roses, and many others.

Will it be linear and task driven (aka quests), or will it retain a lot of the free-form creativity that is found in FarmVille?

The English Countryside will offer the chance to participate in a storyline with the characters who live around your English Farm. You don’t have to participate in the story in order to work on, decorate, and expand your second farm.

Sheep breeding questions… Will the resulting lambs be able to grow up? If so, will they all be ewes or will some become rams?

You’ll be able to breed your own Rams and Ewes to create unique lambs with characteristics from both parents. You get to name each baby Lamb and have the choice to keep it or let a friend adopt it to raise on their own farm. When the lamb grows up, you can breed it as well, to create family trees and new combinations. Every baby lamb has a chance to be a Ram or a Ewe.

You won’t need energy or anything like it. We’re committed to keeping FarmVille’s gameplay just as our players have always enjoyed it. We want to add more ways to play and more things to do, without taking away anything you like about the game now. Farmers are some of the hardest-working people around, so they should never run short of energy!

You may recall seeing a post earlier about the Duck Pond expansion slowly being rolled out to all players. Several FarmVille Freaks have reported that they are having issues with expanding their Duck Pond.

FarmVille Community Manager Stumpgrinder, addressed this issue by saying:

We are currently issuing a patch regarding Duck Ponds; specifically it’s addressing the issue that if you get it up to Level 2 you can’t look inside, which is causing a scattering of other issues as well.

If you are encountering another problem (if you’re unable to upgrade any of your Duck Ponds for instance) please report it immediately. If you’ve lost parts, unfortunately you’ll need to file a CS ticket for proper recompense.

Also, several FarmVille Freaks have reported that they have received a second Duck Pond and can find it in their Gift Box.

FarmVille Duck Pond

You may remember a few days ago, some farmers got access to the feature of expanding Duck Ponds. This new feature was having many issues in the beginning, and could not be accessed by some farmers at all!

However, it seems as though this feature is now live this evening, and surely making its way to all farmers! Please note that this feature may still experience a few bugs here & there, but FarmVille Freak has a basic guide the expanding your Duck Ponds!

Farmers should see the pop-up shown above, letting them know that they can now expand their FarmVille Duck Ponds!

FarmVille Duck Pond Expansion Started

Once you start your Duck Pond expansion, you will be able to share a notice with your neighbors, asking them to send you the necessary items in order to expand your Duck Pond.

With the help of Shovels and Watering Cans, you will be able to increase the capacity of your Duck Pond by a significant number!

Expanding your Duck Pond can be done in two stages:

• Stage 1 – Add 20 Shovels & 20 Watering Cans (increases capacity to 30 Ducks)
• Stage 2 – Add 20 Shovels & 20 Watering Cans (increases capacity to 40 Ducks)

Before the expansion, your Duck Pond will be able to hold 20 ducks, but upon completing the expansion, the FarmVille Duck Pond will house up to 40 ducks at once! Finally, farmers will have enough room to place their beautiful ducks, swans & even adorable little ducklings!

Once again, please note that the Duck Pond Expansion feature is being rolled out slowly to farmers and may still be experiencing some troubles & glitches.

FarmVille 28 x 28 Farm Estate

Woo woo! Finally, farmers can expand their farms for Farm Coins with the latest FarmVille 28×28 “Farm Estate” land expansion. We have been teased since December with the market placeholder for the Farm Coin option locked and with a TBD (To Be Determined) price.

According to statements made by Zygna in past FarmVille podcasts, the expansion’s delay was caused by a new feature that has yet to be released. After deciding that farmers had waited long enough, they put plans on hold and continued with the 28×28 expansion’s Farm Coin release.

You can purchase your 28×28 expansion in the FarmVille Market for 4 Million Farm Coins. In addition to the the Farm Coins, you will also have to fulfill a neighbor requirement. First, you need to have a minimum of 45 neighbors.This expansion also requires that you add 10 new neighbors, that is additional neighbors from what you already have. Please note, you need to add any 10 neighbors of your choice. These players do NOT have to be new to FarmVille or first-time players. Remember, that if you purchase the expansion directly with Farm Cash for 120 FV$, there are no neighbor restrictions in place so you will not have to add additional neighbors.

If you are purchasing the expansion today and will be redecorating your farm to utilize those extra plots, remember to save your farm frequently to make sure that your progress is saved! There is nothing more frustrating when you have been redecorating for an hour to start back at square one due to an OOS error! FarmVille 28 x 28 Farm Estate

Almost all FarmVille Freaks are wondering what ever happened to the 28×28 “Farm Estate” FarmVille land expansion?

Surely the big Z could not have forgotten it. Although the Farm Cash option for the 28×28 expansion has been available since its release, the Farm Coin option is still locked in “Coming Soon” status at TBD (to be determined). We first heard mention of its release in an official FarmVille podcast back in December. Lexilicious told us that we would have the expansion available sometime after the new year. Since then, dedicated farmers have been persistently checking their FarmVille Market, especially on update nights, hoping for its release.

It’s February and still no word, until now. The official FarmVille blog is finally giving us another piece of information to satisfy our anticipation. Although they aren’t giving up much details about the expansion, such as a release date, they are letting us know that we can expect more news on it during this week’s official FarmVille Podcast which will happen on Friday, February 4th 2011.

It’s not much, but at least we know that they haven’t forgotten!

FarmVille Farm Estate

Could these recent glitches be  a hint at what’s to come soon, as in this week? In the latest FarmVille podcast,  Expansion was mentioned and is reportedly in the near future.

Some FarmVille Freaks have reported that they can access the expansion in the Market. The previous “Coming Soon” red notice has been replaced with 40 FV$, yet they cannot purchase it.

Has anyone notice if you go to market in fv then “Upgrade Farm” Tab then “Expand” Tab then hit the buy button….a Relief Fund for Haiti popup with the “Mighty Plantation” ??? I tried to purchase it but game goes out o sync ….Hmmmm makes me wonder what Zynga has up there sleeves!
