FarmVille Haiti School
Do you remember last year when FarmVille did a huge fundraiser for Haiti? Seems that all the generous donations from FarmVille players have finally reached their destination, and been an enormous help!

Did you help out with the donations for Haiti last year through FarmVille?
ABC’s Good Morning America news talk show seems a little late in the game as they just now have realized that over 80 million people are playing FarmVille and decided to do a special puff piece on the demographics of current farmers and their possible addiction.
“They tried to stop. They couldn’t. They tried to put time limits on their FarmVille use, but they couldn’t succeed,” Young said, speaking in general about women who find it hard to kick the FarmVille habit.
According to the psychologist referenced above, those obsessed with playing FarmVille can lead to problems such as addiction and that players should limit themselves to how much time they spend on their virtual farms.
Their special report covers the gamers that make up the majority of FarmVille players which includes women in the over fourty age group. While this fact may be true, they also leave out a huge demographic of farmers. This article and video are definitely from an outsiders perspective by obvious non-players. We all know that you don’t normally purchase seeds with farm cash (besides Sweet Seeds for Haiti) and purchasing farm cash (with real money) for virtual goods has been around much longer than the reported “recently”.
Have you ever been angry because of interrupted farming?
We’ve all experienced the annoying “Saving Farm” errors or other loading and accessibility technical issues that sometimes prevent you from getting your farming fix. Or maybe you are sick of paying farm cash for all the “good stuff”. Perhaps you are still missing items stolen away by the Zynga gods. Like any other addiction, maybe you’ve threatened “to quit” farming, but found yourself back to harvesting in the middle of the night. Whatever the case, despite the problems and frustrations with FarmVille, Zynga has all of us FarmVille Freaks hooked!
Check out the hilarious video below of one farmer’s “Freak-Out” farming session that describes the experience of many farmers and our love-hate relationship with FarmVille.

Being a FarmVilleFreak, I love your site. I made this playfully critical video about the differences between FarmVille and real farms. It stars my country-girl character, Darlene. Originally I intended it for people to post on their neighbors Facebook walls, but I wanted to send it to you too! I hope you like it, and I hope all the other FarmVille Freaks do too!
