FarmVille New Horse Breeding Notice

The new Horse Paddock animal habitat is here! The Horse Paddock will provide you with a new home for your Horses, allow you to collect Farm Coins and Animal Mastery points when harvested and also give you the chance at finding Foals. This is the last of the seven new animal habitats to be released in FarmVille. With the release of the Horse Paddock, Horse Stables will no longer be available for purchase in the FarmVille Market. (Read more about this later).

Get all the details on FarmVille’s latest animal habitat by reading our FarmVille Freak Horse Paddock Guide below.

Coinciding with the release of the Horse Paddock there is also a brand new set of FarmVille Horse Paddock Quests. You can visit FarmVille Freak’s Horse Paddock Quest Guide for info on all the quests’ requirements and rewards by clicking here.

Quick Horse Paddock Facts

  • Horse Paddocks can house Horses, harvest Farm Coins and Animal Mastery, and breed new Foals.
  • Each Horse Paddock houses 20 animals.
  • You can own more than one Horse Paddock.
  • Horse Paddocks can be harvested once per day.
  • To qualify for breeding, an animal must be housed inside the Horse Paddock from before the 10% mark until the Horse Paddock is harvested.
  • The Horse Paddock does NOT replace Horse Stables, but the Horse Stable is gone from the market. (Well, sort of. Read below for more details on this subject).

A Note on Horse Stables

With the release of the new Horse Paddocks, Horse Stables will no longer be available in the FarmVille Market meaning that any new FarmVille players will not have access to this building. If you already have a Horse Stable then it is your choice to keep any existing Horse Stables, but you should know that the Horse Stables will not be able to produce any of the newer Horse breeds. However, current Horses that were released prior to the Horse Paddock will still be breedable inside your Horse Stables and will still produce similar type foals.

WARNING!

After you build your new Horse Paddock, the first time that you go to harvest any existing Horse Stables you should receive a pop-up offering you to trade-in your Horse Stable for a free exclusive Horse and some Animal Feed. Declining the offer and choosing to keep your Horse Stable does not mean that you are rid of the offer forever! Remember, that in the future you may still receive the trade-in pop-up, so be especially careful if you wish to keep your Horse Stables!

From Zynga:

  • “Players will be able to keep their existing Horse Stable.
  • The old Horse Stable won’t produce foals for any new horses (but current horses will still produce foals that you can share).
  • Once the Horse Paddock is released, the first time you click an old Horse Stable, you’ll be presented with the option to trade-in all their old Horse Stables for an exclusive Horse and Animal Feed. If you decline, you’ll be presented with the offer again every once in a while.
  • To get foals that you can keep and share, place a new Horse Paddock! All foals can produce a foal in the new Horse Paddock!” (Source: Official FarmVille Forum)

Constructing Your Horse Paddock

When the update is made available to you on your farm you will see a pop-up like the one above. You can immediately place your Horse Paddock on your farm or if you need to first clear some green space that’s fine too as it will go to your Gift Box for safekeeping.

The Horse Paddock is a constructible building that requires materials to complete. You start off with the frame and work your way to a completed and functional Horse Paddock by adding your collected building materials. You can also opt to purchase a completed ready-to-go Horse Paddock using Farm Cash.

Obtaining Your Building Materials

  • 1. Send and Receive as free gifts via the FarmVille Gifting Page.
  • 2. Use the “Ask for Part” button.
  • 3. Find (for free) from neighbors’ shares on your Facebook News Feed.
  • 4. Purchase directly with Farm Cash via the FarmVille Market.

 Breeding with Horse Paddock

In your Horse Paddock you can breed a variety of Foals when harvesting your Horse Paddock. Some of the Horses that can be bred in your Horse Paddock include: Horses, Stallions, Clydesdales, Minis, Ponies, Appaloosas, Andalusians, Arabians, Belgians, Percherons, Pegasus, E-Questrions, Unicorns, Hafingers, Horse Spectator, Steeds, Donkeys, Nightmares, Mustangs, Mules, Reitponies, and warmbloods.

Unlike Pig or Sheep breeding, there is no need to have a pair of animals to breed. Instead, breeding is simply done for you with the animals housed inside your Horse Paddock. Each time you harvest your Horse Paddock you have a chance at finding a Foal! The more animals housed inside your Horse Paddock, the greater your chances at finding a Foal. The only requirement is that an animal must be inside your Horse Paddock at the 10% “readiness” mark to qualify for a possible parent. Whenever you find a Foal you will be able to share one with your friends via the Facebook News Feed
Harvesting Your Horse Paddock

Each time you harvest your Horse Paddock for Farm Coins and Animal Mastery Points, you also have a chance at finding a Foal.
Animals that can be housed or “go inside” your Horse Paddock will be highlighted in blue. There’s also the option to “Look Inside” your Horse Paddock which gives you a rundown on all the animal possibilities available. Animals that appear as translucent are animals that you do not own that may be housed inside.

Please note, that some animals cannot be placed inside your Horse Paddock at this point, but will be able to in the future:

  • Candy Corn Pony
  • Spotted Pony
  • Mini Blackfire Horse
  • Skeleton Horse
  • French Unicorn Baby
  • Mini Unicorn
  • Purple Mini Unicorn
  • Mini Pegasus
  • Fairy Unicorn
  • Fairy Zebra

FarmVille Horse Paddock Notice

This set of unreleased images showcases an upcoming constructible animal habitat that’s especially designed for Horses and possibly called the Horse Paddock.

We already have Horse Stables and many of us are not eager to give them up, so if it’s similar to the last animal habitat, Cow Pastures, then hopefully it will be an optional replacement.

From what we can tell the Horse Paddock will accept any of your FarmVille Horses just as a Horse Stable would and will give us the opportunity at finding a Foal- duh! It also shows the Foals with Mastery Stars above them (as seen below) which has us thinking that Foal and Calve Animal Mastery will also be debuting this upcoming week.

FarmVille Horse Paddock Information

As expected, there will also be Horse Paddock themed quests coinciding with its release. There will most likely be at least six Horse Paddock themed quests.

FarmVille Horse Paddock Quest I

FarmVille Horse Paddock Quest II

FarmVille Horse Paddock Quest III

FarmVille Horse Paddock Quest IV

FarmVille Horse Paddock Quest V

FarmVille Horse Paddock Quest VI

Please note, this building has not yet been released. Unreleased items have no official release date or guarantee that they will make it to the FarmVille and are subject to change without prior notice.

What do you think about this unreleased animal habitat? Are you tired of building? More importantly, what do you think about if the Horse Paddock were to replace the Horse Stable (optional or not)?

FarmVille Addresses Problems with Snow Stallion

FarmVille Snow Stallion

Many FarmVille Freaks have reported problems with the Winter Holiday collection redeemable Snow Stallion.

Farmers are having issues with placing the Snow Stallion in the Horse Stable, (they are not able to put the stallion inside) which then prevents it from breeding.

Zynga is aware of the issue and working on a fix. Stay tuned…

From FarmVille Community Manager, Stumpgrinder:

User can no longer put Snow Stallion into Stable:

Description:

Players are no longer able to put the Snow Stallion into the Stable, even though it is not full. This has been reported after Tuesday’s (12/14/2010) update.

Status:

This issue is currently under investigation.

A Sad Day for FarmVille Horse Breeders?

Fri ,05/11/2010

FarmVille Sad Horse

UPDATE: FarmVille Horse Breeding still works. The method is just slightly different than before. Tip: Wait until 34%.

In FarmVille, there are Horse enthusiasts that specialize in breeding their horses. They are known as FarmVille Horse breeders. They are the kind of neighbors who it is a joy to call your own. Many of these breeders spend real money on purchasing the rarest (farm cash) horses and therefore produce the rarest foals that they kindly share with their FarmVille neighbors.

While we won’t go into the logistics of breeding Horses in FarmVille, we feel the need to mention at the concern of many of our FarmVille Freak Horse breeders, that something is not quite right in the stables! It appears that Zynga has prohibited the typical methods of fast track breeding which produces more than one foal per day.  (Note, that Horse Stables still work and can be harvested daily with a chance of producing foals, what we are talking about is a little different.)

Zynga has called this an unintentional error, says Lexilicious:

“Alright guys,

Apologies for this response taking awhile, we needed to investigate the situation before giving official word.
Firstly, this was an unintentional change that we are currently looking into.
Everyone should be aware that “Stable stuffing” is not a supported or intentional feature. However, we are still going to look into this and see what we can do to return it to it’s previous state.
I am going to lock this thread now as it has gone very off-topic and the tone has turned quite hostile. I know emotions are high right now, but please remember that posting on these boards is a privilege, not a right. Not adhering to the forum rules is a quick way to lose that privilege.
Thanks everyone!”

FarmVille Miniature Horse & Miniature Foal

FarmVille Miniature Horse

The limited edition New England themed FarmVille Minature Horse is finally here! We got a sneak peak of this adorable Mini Pony on a FarmVille loading screen teaser and have been waiting on it since.

A new FarmGoddess favorite, the FarmVille Minature Horse costs 26 FV$ and can be purchased in the FarmVille Market during the next 10 days only! Be sure to snag yourself a Mini Horse while you can because after it expires from the market it will be a retired item that may not ever debut again.

FarmVille Miniature Horse

Good news for Horse Breeder enthusiasts! The Mini Horse is breedable and can be placed in the Horse Stable, meaning it can yield a Miniature Horse Foal.  According to Zynga, if you are able to cross two Minis you will get a Mini and if you cross a Mini and a Normal, you will get a Normal.  However, there are reports by many FarmVille Freaks that Mini Horses + Normal Stallions are yielding Mini Horse Foals.

Note, the Miniature Stallion is only available through the current Mystery Game prizes (released on August 2, 2010). Also, the Mini Cream Horse and Foal are only obtainable through stables and nursery barns.

Good luck with your breeding!

FarmVille Horse Stable Not Producing!

UPDATE: This is a glitch that will be resolved when FarmVille “enhances” with tonight’s Updates. You will not have to do anything to restore the White Stallions functionality.

From FarmVille’s Community Manager, Grimwell:

“I’d like to thank everyone who has sent me their UID so far, and ask that nobody else does!
The development team has found the bug that is causing this issue with your stallions, and intend to have a fix for it later today. You will not have to do anything to restore functionality to your stallions, the update later today will care for it. Thank you for your patience, and special thanks to everyone who shared their ID’s so we could get a look!” (Source: Official FarmVille Forum)

Lots of FarmVille Freaks, such as FarmVille Freak Lisa, FarmVille Freak Julia, FarmVille Freak Pia, and FarmVille Freak Becky, among others are reporting that their White Stallions are no longer producing Foals!

As you know, the White Stallion was a special limited edition farm cash animal available only through a Mystery Box. Unlike other Wandering Stallions, the White Stallion is a permanent Horse Stable occupant and once purchased you are able to keep it forever. Owners of White Stallions have the advantage of being able to produce a Foal everyday. The ability to produce foals explains why the temporary “neutering” of White Stallions, has caused angry FarmVille Horse breeder enthusiasts and White Stallion owners.

We are waiting on an official response from Zynga and will keep you informed and updated as we learn more information about the questionable fertility of the White Stallion.

You can read some of our FarmVille Freak White Stallion owners’ user-submitted emails below:

“Hi FarmGoddess, After the introduction to the Beehives, I went on my farm to do my nightly ritual of horse breeding.  I have gone through 30 horses without any reproduction success (I would usually achieve one foal in every 3-5 horses).  Not only has this changed, but also the message that comes after you harvest your stable has changed (I have taken a screen shot & attached it for you to see).  For the past few days I have encountered issues while breeding (screen freezing, out of sync issues etc…).  I noticed that I used to collect a couple thousand coins each time I harvest without a Foal produced, but now the amount has gone down to about 168 coins.” – FarmVille Freak Lisa

“Hi, Since yesterday I can’t make foals in my stable. I have a White Stallion but it’s like he’s not there, I always got the message: “You didn’t find anything special in the stable, but you did earn 588 coins while tending to your horses. Tend to them again tomorrow for a chance to find something special.” Some people say the the White Stallions have been neutered. Have you heard something about this? I worried coz I paid farm cash for my Stallion… I paid to have the chance to make as many foals as I can in one day, this is not fair…” -FarmVille Freak Julia

“It seems they made changes to the harvest of Horse Stables, and make it like the Dairy Barns. You get no thank you and money anymore and rumors say you will only be able to harvest once a day. Maybe something to look into. As they release the black stallion (Gelding) in next mystery boxes, wonder what happen to the people who already have one. Regards.” -FarmVille Freak Pia”

“Can you find out what the problem is with our White Stallions not producing anymore…post something on your website plz….they are just like any other horse when you try to breed Foals…people on facebook wall are going crazy ;-) ” – FarmVille Freak Becky

Are you experiencing problems with your White Stallion, such as non-producing Foals?

The Complete Set of FarmVille Foals

Mon ,12/04/2010

Placing a Wandering Stallion or White Stallion in your stable gives you a chance to breed  a Foal, of which  5 of your friends may adopt after posting it to your Facebook homefeed. There are currently 8 breeds of Foals , FarmVille Benjoni recently sent us a request to see all them on a farm:

Hey FarmVille Freak owner.

I was wondering if anyone has got all the foals yet. I really want to see all of the foals lined up on a actual farm. I really want to see these so I can know what to get them one day.

I think the rarest ones have to be the pink pony, brown pony and white foal.

Thanks a lot,

Benjoni

The above picture shows the White Foal, Clydesdale Foal, Brown Foal, Grey Foal, Pinto Foal, Percheron Foal, Pink Pony Foal and Pony Foal.

In the last podcast Lexilicious mentioned that a Nursery Barn was headed to FarmVille, this new building with purpose will allow us to grow our Calves and Foals into adults.

Do you want to grow your Foals/Calves into adults? Or keep them babies forever?

FarmVille New Wandering Stallion Icon

Thu ,01/04/2010

In an update earlier this month Zynga added the ability to produce foals from stables on FarmVille. Along with this update came the opportunity to adopt a Wandering Stallion from a neighbor. The Wandering Stallion was a new type of animal that is not permanent and cannot be placed on the farm; it stays for one day or one harvesting of the Horse Stable.

Many farmers were confused because after giving a Wandering Stallion shelter, it was ‘invisible’ or there was no way of seeing it in their Horse Stable. In one of the updates yesterday, March 31st, this issue was resolved. Now when you “Look Inside” your Horse Stable there is an icon in the upper left hand corner that shows you wether or not you are currently sheltering a Stallion.

Inside FarmVille Freak CabbagePatchKid's Horse Stable

Inside FarmVille Freak Dave_NC's Horse Stable

The Wandering Stallion is an adoptable animal that you can find on  your farm and share with your neighbors via Facebook newsfeed, giving them the opportunity to adopt. Although, if you find one on your farm, you may not keep it for yourself. Wandering Stallions can be found in your Horse Stable and possibly yield a Foal. The limited edition White Stallion can be placed in your Horse Stable and gives a chance of producing a Foal each time you collect. Note, only one Stallion can be in your Horse Stable at any given time.

What type of foal are you most excited to produce?

FarmVille Horse Stable Upgraded!

FarmVille has upgraded the Horse Stable!

FarmVille Freak Amy's Stable Coin Reward Notice

The Horse Stable is now possibly yielding Foals (baby Horses). You may place the new adoptable Wandering Stallion or any other Stallions such as the White Stallion (Past Mystery Box Prize) in your Horse Stable and increase the chances of yielding a Foal. When collecting from your Horse Stable you may produce a Foal and have the opportunity to share with your FarmVille neighbors via Facebook newsfeed. The Foals are quite adorable, and even though you may want to keep it for yourself, the only way to get one is by adoption.

Note: You may only have one Stallion in your Horse Stable at one time. The Wandering Stallion is not a permanent animal like other adoptables, it is more of an event. (Please read details below from Lexilicious).

Additionally, you will now receive coin rewards when harvesting or collecting form your Horse Stable.

Official word from FarmVille Community Manager, Lexilicious:

“Horse Stables:

Periodically, you will receive a pop-up informing you that a “Wandering Stallion” has appeared on your farm. This pop-up will allow you to post a feed to your wall. Ten of your Neighbors can click on this feed to give shelter to the Wandering Stallion.

Unlike other “Lonely” animals, the Wandering Stallion is an event, and is NOT a permanent animal that can be kept on your Farm.

If you choose to give the Wandering Stallion shelter, he will automatically be placed into your Horse Stable. If you have a Wandering Stallion, you have a chance of receiving a Foal the next time you collect from your Stable.

If you already have a Wandering Stallion in your Horse Stable, you will not be able to get another. Clicking on multiple Wandering Stallion feeds from your Neighbors will not increase the chances of a Foal being born.

When a Foal is born, you will receive a pop-up informing you that your newborn is eager to explore the world. This pop-up will allow you to post a feed to your wall. Five of your Neighbors can click on this feed to receive a Foal.

The type of Foal you receive is determined by the types of horse in your Stable. Please note that the Pink Pony, Brown Pony, High Kick Horse and Spectator Horse will produce a Brown Foal.

Once you harvest from your Stable and find a Foal, you will have to click on a new Wandering Stallion feed to have a chance of making another foal.

The Limited Edition “White Stallion” can be placed inside your Horse Stable and will act like a permanent Wandering Stallion. Each time you harvest from your Stable you will have a chance to find a Foal. If you receive a Foal, you will not get a consumable. If you do not get a Foal when collecting from your Stable, you still have a chance of receiving an Arborist, Farm Hand or 100 XP.

Baby Foals can be brushed every 24 hours and cannot be placed inside your Horse Stable.

If the Wandering Stallion does not give you a Foal and you also do not get a Consumable, you will receive a coin bonus.”
