We’ve all heard the rumors of FarmVille Pig Breeding and upgrades to the Pig Pen. Finally, FarmVille Freak is happy to confirm that Pig Breeding is coming soon!

It is no surprise really that Pig Breeding is in our near future with the success of Sheep Breeding and the positive feedback from many farmers who enjoy the endless possibilities of breeding Sheep.

Zynga has shared with us the image below of the user interface when “Looking Inside” the new Pig Pen. From what we gather based on the image it seems that Pig Breeding will work very similar to Sheep Breeding.

As seen clearly in the image, there will be a Pig Pen Expansion available and Love Potions will also be utilized to breed Pigs to guarantee Piglets. So start stocking up on Love Potions! Remember, that you can “Ask For Love Potions” every 4 hours by posting a Facebook News Feed share. Whenever your neighbors click your share, they give you a Love Potion and also get one for themeselves. Up to five neighbors can click on a single Love Potion share.

At the moment, we cannot confirm any more details on the Pig Pen and Pig Breeding, but be sure to stay tuned to FarmVille Freak for up to the minute coverage as it happens!

FarmVille Pigpen Available Notice

The Pigs finally have a home! The FarmVille Pigpens were released today and will slowly be available to all farmers throughout the day. If you do not yet have access to build your own PigPen, don’t worry you soon will!

Pigpens are unlocked for farmers Level 16 and above.

You will be required to build your Pigpen using sendable construction materials that you can receive as gifts, request from your neighbors, or purchase with farm cash. You may also purchase a completed Pigpen directly with farm cash.

The Pigpen frame costs 5,000 Coins in the FarmVille Market. For now, you are limited to one Pigpen per farm.

You will be able to store 20 Pigs in your Pigpen. The footprint or required space for the Pigpen is 6 x 6.

Is it possible that the FarmVille Pigpens will be coming very soon, perhaps this week?

According to the image below, it looks like the Pigpen building materials will require:

• 8 Bricks
• 8 Nails
• 8 Wooden Boards

Note, as this is an unreleased item, it is subject to change without notice. There is no official release date or guarantee that it will be the same upon debut to FarmVille.

Looks like FarmVille might be releasing the new Pig Pens tonight or sometime soon to all you eager FarmVille Freaks!

Earlier this week we saw the FarmVille loading screen teaser above that hints of “Pig Pens Coming Soon”. In Friday’s August 20th official FarmVille Podcast, Lexilicious gave us more specific details about the upcoming Pig Pens.

Here is what we know about Pig Pens:

• There will be a 2 phase process.
• First phase will require a constructable building process that will make a place for you to store your Pigs.
• Second phase will be “Truffle Hunting”.
• Truffle Hunting will allow you to trade in Truffles for new redeemable prizes.
• To get Truffles, you will have to feed your Pigs Slop.
• You can make Slop from Bushels.
• When Pigs eat Slop they can hunt from Truffles on your neighbors’ farms.
• Truffles can be traded for new prizes including new Pigs!

“First up is a feature our community already seems very excited about. Pigpens will be making an appearance in FarmVille in the very near future. Now, Pigpens will be released in two separate phases. The first version of the Pigpens will introduce a constructible building that will offer you storage for any of those poor, homeless pigs you may have running around your farm. The second version of this update will introduce truffle hunting, a feature that will allow you to trade in truffles for new items. To gain truffles, you will have to feed your pigs slop, which can be made from bushels. Once your pigs eat their slop, they will hunt for truffles on your Neighbors Farms. These truffles can be traded for exciting new prizes, including new types of pigs!” (Source: August 20th Podcast)
