The red panda is pretty cool , the pygmy goat is not (it does not look very pygmy barely smaller than the normal goat). i wanted the panda and blue jay but from the previous comments it looks like I’m lucky i did not get the blue jay.

This is about the only time I check this site (when new mystery boxes/crates are out) and I really don’t understand the refusal of the site owners to allow pictures of the items right away.
In any case, if you like red pandas, then yes it is definitely worth it to try to get one. It is really great.

Also, to be honest 20 fvc is less than you pay for most animals of good worth. If the yak, monkey, goat or panda were sold separately they’d each be over 20 more than likely. I paid more than that for my two tigers and my appaloosa horse all 22 so you could either pay 22 for them…or take a chance you KNOW you have and risk it by paying less for them. if you don’t want to get one of the worse “not worthy” animals don’t take the risk with the fv cash it’s you’re own option. You chose to risk it, when you could have just as easily chosen to buy an animal you know you’ll get.

20 seems to be just right, especially for animal collectors. I would much rather spend 20 FV$ knowing I am getting an animal than 16 FV$ and only have a one in six or two in six chance of an animal. I don’t have room for lakes and buildings on my farm.
Bought two of these, got the goat and the yak, which is great, the other ones don’t seem to be anything special – I thought the panda was a bear until I saw the pic and see that it is a raccoon.
Only have 65FV$ left from my 200FV$ from the 7-Eleven promotion.

What a disappointing animal crate. The mandarin is basically a recolored duck. The red panda is small and looks more like a fox or raccoon. The bluejay is way too small and certainly not worth 20 FV cash. The pygmy goat wasn’t what I expected. I was hoping for a baby goat or something small. The yak is the only thing worth it but I don’t feel like wasting money trying to get it. I’d rather see stallions or new horses and ponies in the crates. Then I’d certainly buy.

I actually don’t like any of these animals. I guess you could say they aren’t “pretty” enough. Then again, this is FARMville. It is sad I never got to grab a purple frog. Oh well.

Only the Yak seems worth it. Rest are too small for 20FV each. I hope Zynga is not planning on making the mystery box 20FV permanently. The whole point is to get something for less and also be able to get multiple mystery boxes. Anything over 16 just does not remain reasonable anymore for a lot of people.

I don’t think they will keep it at 20 after this.. seeing as many wont be buying any mystery boxes in the next 7 days if they know what is inside.. I am guessing many are hoping there is a stallion of some kind in there and I am sure they are playing on that !

I got the duck my first shot and the red panda my second I wanted the yak but oh well atleast I wasent stuck with the damn blue jays.
hope farmville allows us to trade soon so we could get rid of all the useless crate items we dont want with people who do.

WeirdJedi, I have the purple frog and not that happy with it… just sits there and the purple is so bright you can’t really see the frog details… looks more like a purple lump. Now if it jumped, that would be great.

WeirdJedi – I got the purple frog.. and I never know where to put him!! never seems to fit in anywhere!!!! cute.. but hard to place where he/she fits! would LOVE to get ponies! I only started playing recently when the purple pony was available but wasn’t knowledgeable enough yet to know it’s worth! dang! at least I caught the white stallion recently! hoping also for more horses/ponies!

I was hoping this was a “Best Of” animal crate. I missed out on my change to get the Purple Mane Pony, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed they add her in a “Best Of” box in the near future. No animal in this new crate is worth 20FV, except the Yak but I won’t try my luck. I really wish they would add a Trade feature so we can just save our FV cash and trade extra items with other users.

I’m not wasting my cash… judging by the way Zynga chooses prices for animals, i think this is what they are all worth…
Female Mandarin- 12-16 FV (small birds usually are)
Blue Jay- about 12-18 FV (birds on branches usually are… Carrier Pigeons, Doves, Bee Catcher etc
Black Yak- 16 cash, it is gorgeous and it probably is worth 20.. but I’m saying this because there was an Indian Yak in a previous 16 FV mystery box
Red Panda- 22 FV (usually the cost of cute, small and fluffy mammals)
Pygmy Goat- this one is hard to say, because they never sell anything like this… but i would say 16 FV, just because there was a long horn sheep in a mystery box about a week ago, which resembled a goat and was as useless as one
So yeah, I don’t think I’m buying one just to have one chance of getting an animal worth more than 20 cash… I’m most likely to be disappointed.

So, with these animals:
1) is there going to be a future building for goats, lamas (all the new goats with horns being released through feed). Then there is this Pygmy goat in this mystery crate?
2) The YAK. Would a Yak go along with the dairy farm someway, somehow? (Hey I didnt realize the white stallions worth on Valentines day, but I now have two since mothers day, and I am breeding foals now)
3) The female mandarin. Looks a lot like a duck to me. Future breedable too?
As for the others I am sure they have some sort of use. Could be just decor I guess too.
Curious as to anyone else’s thoughts…….

Very Disappointed! This is my 1st animal crate purchase and I got the Blue Jay that is a decoration. I purchased a mystery gift last week and got a hotel. Not happy.I dont spend FC, but since I completed my Uber Gift I have spent some. A few months ago I had 21 FC and then one day it went down to 2FC. I sent a support ticket and nothing.

I am kinda indifferent about this mystery box…i wish i would have known about this site before so i would have known to get the mystery box with the pony in it…i stopped buying the mystery boxes because everytime i did i got something weird and never what i thought worth it…like i got a storage shelf that is useless just sites and takes up space cant even tell whats on the shelves…but know that you show what is in them i can know buy them when i like something and try for it….

Ok, news flash from Ranger Rick. Red pandas are supposed to look like wierd raccoons (they are actually sister taxa to the procyonids… if you know what that means I’ll give you a cookie). Did anyone actually look up what these (red pandas) are before complaining? They did a great render with it.
I’d be happy with any of these. I was hoping for the blue jay and got the goat (which is ok because I’m a goat farmer), but I’m not so sure I’ll be spending any more on these.

Hello!
Just two things:
- The blue jay should NOT be in this mistery animal crate, because it’s just a decoration and not worth 20fv! I paid cash expecting to have animals that I could harvest. Although it’s cute, I was very disappointed when I got it.
- The animals shoul NEVER repeat! at least not before you got all the animals of the mistery animal crate. Then after that the farmer would decide if he/she was going to invest in repeated animals.

I want to build my Zoo up too, but the Red Panda is a disgrace, kind of like the monkey was (only to have a cute Curious George looking one come to Treasure Isle).
Someone mentioned $20 for a mystery box or maybe $22 for the animals, personally I would rather pay the extra $2 to be certain I get what I want.
I have little interest in the Blue Jay/Macaw/Bee Catcher type animals as they are just decorative – in saying this I lucked out and got the Macaw.
Likewise I already have two ducks plus a few in the ponds.
What annoys me is that these promotion offering’s like 7/11 are not available in my country so I miss out on the Neapolitan Cow – which stinks even more cause that is a Italian concept.
Let the rest of the world have the same access as the Americans – I don’t know how but be fair.

Ok, will everyone stop complaining? I mean really? Come on…if u didn’t think the blue jay or whatever wasn’t worth 20 fc, then you shouldn’t have gotten it in the first place. Its like gambling, you have no clue what you can get. So what I suggest is to save your fc and wait for a mystery box where you “love” everything in it. Thats what I do, and I’d say it works quite well :]

the general consensus of my farmville friends: really crappy mystery box! none of these are “must have” animals…we would LOVE a “WATER FEATURE BOX” where they bring back all of the beautiful water features (the big water fall, the lakes, the koi pond, etc.) which look so nice on farms and are fun to decorate with

First of all, RED pandas DO look like raccoons, NOT like the giant pandas most of you are thinking of.
Why didn’t they put anything good in there, like a new horse?

This is CRAP!!!!!!!!! I’ve opened 6 freakin crates and got double blue jay, double freakin UGLY red panda—duck–black yak—-i want ONE of each not doubles, when are they going to get their crap together and stop doing this, it pisses people off to get doubles when we are spending real $$$ on them—they can keep track of our coins, farmcash, xp etc, why cant they keep track of what we get in the farmcash boxes and crates and stop this double crap!!!!!

I received the red panda & the black yak. The panda is ok, but nothing special IMHO. However, i ADORE my yak. It has the sweetest expression and i just fell in love with it right away (had no idea what was in the crates when i bought them, more fun that way, LOL).

I have a lot of unique animals find at mystery box for 16 fv cash but we can’t realy see those in the farm. The only one that’s appears well and i realy like is the White Pea****. Now… 20 FV cash just for animals? You kidding me? Never!!!

I got a red panda, a black yak, a female mandarin and a blue jay all from my neighbours but i think they r too much. u should be able to buy them for like 100,000 coins

I got the red panda and to be quite honest it is ass ugly. i’d rather have the Black Yak .. or the pigmy goat. what is a red panda anyway it looks like a really fat deformed raccoon.

OK, I love the Black Yak and the Blue Jay is adorable, but the Female Mandarine doesn’t even REMOTELY look like a real one! Looks like more of a clown duck than a Mandarine, actually. The Red Panda is a disgrace to FarmVille and all it’s critters, and the Pygmy Goat reminds me of Yoda! I can almost imagine it saying (in Yoda’s voice) ” Hmm, yes, let Yoda chew your clothes, hmm, the force is strong in you, yes!”
