FarmVille Unicorn Island Arrives!

The Unicorn Island arrived in FarmVille today! The Unicorn Island is a building with purpose that has three stages and is used as an animal habitat for your FarmVille Unicorns and Pegacorns. More importantly, it can be harvested for Jewels and Gems and which are to be used in the making of brand new FarmVille Unicorns and Pegacorns! Exciting, right? Continue reading below for the scoop.
Once the update is made available to you on your FarmVille farm, you will be invited to place the Unicorn Island on your farm. If you don’t have enough green space to place it, that’s okay, it’ll go into your FarmVille Gift Box for safekeeping until you are ready. Still having trouble locating the Unicorn Island on your FarmVille farm? Try keyword searching “Unicorn Island” in the FarmVille Market and make sure to double check your spelling as it is case sensitive.
After placement of the Unicorn Island on your farm, you can start collecting supplies and stuffing them into the construction process of your Unicorn Island. Before the Unicorn Island is functional, you will you need to complete at least the first stage. The first stage requires exactly 30 parts, that’s 10 each of the building supplies listed below.

- FarmVille Heart of Gold x 10
- FarmVille Enchanted Blossom x 10
Collecting Unicorn Island Parts
To get enough Rainbow Clovers, Hearts of Gold, and Enchanted Blossoms you will need to request the help of specific neighbors, send and receive parts from the FarmVille Gifting Page, find parts on your Facebook News Feed from neighbors” shares, or purchase parts directly using Farm Cash.

Harvesting Unicorn Island for Gems & Creating New Unicorns/Pegacorns
As we already mentioned, FarmVille Unicorn Island can be harvested for Jewels and Gems which you will need to collect in order to make new Unicorns and Pegacorns!
After you complete the first stage of Unicorn Island you can begin filling it with your existing FarmVille Unicorns and Pegacorns. Every Unicorn and Pegacorn should be able to go inside, although currently the Candy Pegacorn is having some issues and is likely “turned off” for the moment. You can house up to 20 animals inside the Unicorn Island after completing the first stage.
Remember, the animals you place inside determine which Gems and Jewels you will be able to harvest. We will publish a guide soon on which animals produce which Gems. The Unicorn Island can be harvested daily and will yield Gems when harvested. Save up your Gems to produce brand new Unicorns and Pegacorns. is there going to b unicorn upgrades?? i have way more than 20 of them need to store more of them,, is it going up to 60 like stables??

Looks like I need to delete the one I was building in Jade Falls, and start again on a farm to which I can ship my unicorns.

I am sooo happy! dump the damn dinosaurs! Who cares about more of the same water babies? Unicorn Island is my kind of project. Can we build more than 1 of them?

I like the unicorn island but i seem to be having trouble. when i make the moon unicorn it says that i received a white diamond and ask me to share it. but i dont receive the white diamond.

Really looking forward to the complete guide of gems/animals. What you have already was a big help. Trying to get at least one island per gem color going, though it looks like the amethyst’s will have several at the rate of only 20 animals per island. (Fingers crossed they give us an expansion option soon. Some of us have a wee bit of a unicorn collecting addiction–*cough* –hobby and need more room) Hoping not ALL the older unicorns/pegacorns yield only amethyst gems as I have truckloads of those and would like some gem variety. Thanks for all the fab info and keeping us players in the know.

@Robin; I noticed the same thing. It does that when we harvest the Dino’s and their DNA strands, too. It’s just a problem with their wording I think, like when we find mystery eggs in our coops but they’ve never left one with us. Which, I would love. Now that FV has become multiple farms/quest ridden and we need the max amount of neighbors to even have a CHANCE at completing everything they throw at us, who has time to fert. and feed chickens more than once in awhile? Sure, it was great when we had TIME to do that but really isn’t something we (or at least I ) can do often now with everything else they throw at us. It would be nice if we could actually keep a gem but I don’t think they mean for us too.

I am learning to control my farms somewhat. I have one of almost everything I have, and when something reaches three stars, i sell them. i only have a few unicorns so far, but when I get at least one of each, i will sell the duplicates, and when they all reach 3 stars, i will sell them and the island.
i just don’t have anough room for something that big, and UGLY.

@Jessica… I have the same problems with the white diamonds in Unicorn Island. I have one white diamond and should have at least 7 or 8 that I know of… every time it says i have received one, it never shows up… even when I get one from my FB feed from a friend. Does anyone know why this does this?

I have harvested my Unicorn island daily and it says i received a jewel but when i look inside it doesn’t show that i received the jewel. I should have over 50. What should i do?
