FarmVille English Countryside Listen Up Quest

Posted on March 24, 2011 1:20 am by FarmVille Freak FarmGoddess

FarmVille Listen Up

After completing your Orchard and building your English Duck Pond, we once again meet up with The Duke in the English Countryside who let’s us know that there’s a rumor circulating that Olivia will be leaving the Village’s local hot spot, the Pub! No, Pub?!!?! How dreadful.

Sir Duke then introduces us to the tenth quest in the EC called the Listen Up Quest, where we are asked to investigate this awful rumor and see what’s going on by visiting neighbors and viewing the Village Map. If Olivia is leaving, I’m sure there are lots of farmers (including you) who would be happy to take over her Pub ;)

I’ve finished all the available quests. Waiting for a new one to be written…. My dislikes are the “pausing” and the fact that the quests make it look so much like FV. The duck pond could have been something different, then there are the stalls for the crafts. So much from the GB is NOT useable. Will give it more time, but just not really thrilled with it. It’s ok, but definitely has not knocked my socks off!

  2. Rydia Says:

I could have sworn Zynga said this was NOT going to be like their other quest heave games. I sure am seeing a lot of quests and spamming neighbors going on

  3. Michelle Says:

For this quest, when you visit your neighbors, it does not have be their English Countryside only. I finished it up by visiting neighbors on their regular farms.

  4. ambino Says:

I’m over it. I have an original farm that I’ve spent real cash on … I’m not going to “pause” it just to go spend cash on another farm. Sorry, there’s just no appeal to me. The only thing different is sheep and quests. Who wants to wait a day to finish a quest. Keep FVEC, I don’t want it!

  5. Roe Says:

    I’ve completed it all…didn’t get a bench…what’s with that???

  6. Valli Says:

I finished this quest and didn’t get my bench

  7. Patricia Says:

ITS TO COMPLICATED. AND RIDICULOUS. NEEDING TO DO ALL THESE QUESTS JUST TO GET MORE LAND AND ITEMS AND HAVING TO PAY FARMCASH FOR ALL THE ANIMALS. SOME OF US DON’T HAVE THE MEANS TO GET THE CASH. THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FUN AND DIFFERENT. BUT ITS A HEADACHE. I AM NOT ON MY SECOND FARM AS OF YET STILL NEED NEIGHBORS TO HELP. WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BEG FOR HELP. YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT THIS THROUGH MORE BEFORE YOU LAUNCHED THE GAME.

  8. Cindy Huxley Says:

Well I’ve set mine up – and apart from the occasional visit that will be it, until the pause goes.

Also I hate quests, stopped playing frontierville and cityville because of them. Hate having to depend on neighbours in order to finish something, or have them depend on me.

I am happy to help and gift of course, but the having to get and certain things, having to keep sending requests to neighbours, and its the same neighbours who respond, no I don’t want to do that.

Also in a much earlier post Zynga said this would not be quest heavy and could be played without doing the quests. Well I have bought, completed and filled an orchard long before getting to the quest. Be interesting to see if I get the rewards in due course!!

Also the story lines seem designed for children, I know young people do play this, but all players should be over 13 (FB rule) and this stuff is just patronising.

In case anyone is in any doubt I don’t like FVEC :)

Would have been so much better if they had just given us the extra land, as additional fields next to Home Farm for instance.

Oh yes and the Unwither Clock, if its supposed to be English Countryside why a Big Ben copy, surely they could have found a picture of a village clock, on a Post Office for instance.

i just got my farm this morin and when i got there for the first time i had withered crops i didnt plant anything yet i just got there i app. the couple of trees to get you started but dead crops is no way to start a new farm so far not so good

  10. Cris Says:

stop moaniiiiiiiing!! they won’t listen about yhe pausing issue if we keep complaining about everything!! i’m really really glad that i’m not experienced out of sync errors and have always been able to load my farms!!

  11. Cindy Huxley Says:

Jo@9 – EC is supposed to be a run down and neglected farm, broken down buildings, combine etc. The withered crops are part of that. The farm has been abandoned and we are supposed to be bringing it back.

  12. Amy Says:

I ask for items in quest and neighbors respond. when i go to accept it tells me i am no longer of this quest. What gives?????
