FarmVille Hawaiian Paradise Farm: Currency in Hawaiian Paradise, Coconuts & Farm Cash!

Posted on February 22, 2012 10:22 pm by FarmVille Freak FarmGoddess

There’s more news on the upcoming FarmVille Hawaiian Paradise. Specifically, let’s talk currency and coconuts  in the land of paradise!

Coconuts will be the preferred currency in FarmVille Hawaiian Paradise. Of course there’s always a Farm Cash option because when you’re willing to spend Farm Cash the big Z is more than happy to accomodate. What does this mean? This means, that items can be purchased and resold using the Coconut currency as well as be harvested for Coconuts. For example, when you harvest a Dolphin it will yield Coconuts.

As you can see in the unreleased image below, there may also be the option to convert any existing Farm Coins into Coconuts. The rumor is that FarmVille will be gifting us farmers around 6,000 free Coconuts when we arrive at our Hawaiian Paradise farms.

No you mean as usual Fv cash will be the preferred currency and coconuts will be useless

  3. Janee Marshall Says:

    This is really kinda dumb…

  4. daniel Says:

You know where they can stick their Coconuts!

  6. Mary Says:

I’m not in the least bit interested in the new farm!! I have had it with Zynga!! I am not happy that Zynga went ahead and opened all my gifts from the Christmas tree and then chose to give me the Aurora horse after the snowman event ended when I already had 3. I wanted the starry lake and couldn’t get it cause they chose to give me the stupid horse. We should be able to choose what we want when we want it after all the hard work we put into collecting items to get these things!! There is so many glitches now and the biggest p*ss off is that they refuse to add a confirm pop up when spending farm cash. I use a laptop to play and I have lost large numbers of farm cash doing quests a few times because u can click on something by accident with nothing more then a twitch of your finger while using the mouse pad. Although they could reverse these accidents or at least compensate us they refuse to. I guess they figure if u lose farm cash accidentally you’ll be more inclined to buy farm cash to replace it!! The only time u get a confirm pop up is when u send someone a gift using farm cash!! Zynga has developed a dictatorship attitude on top of everything else that is wrong with their games!! I’m not having fun playing their games anymore so I have seriously cut back my game play and nothing will make me increase it especially a new farm that will just add more glitches to all the other glitches they refuse to fix. Zynga can take their new farm and the coconut currency and stuff it where the sun don’t shine!!!

  7. farmer kitty Says:

This will be interesting! can’t wait for it to be released.this is going to be fun!

  8. Felix Says:

I can literally not be less excited. Zynga seriously start polling us before you make useless changes and additions that we all hate…

  9. sylvia Says:

sorta cool was an old slang from sometime too tired to rem but you would go in somewhere and they would say “wow that will take a lot of coconuts !!!” anyways is another thing that is dif but since is a form of currency we will prob keep up with!! i can look across the lane and yell to the cute farmer nbr hey dude ya got any extra coconuts !! lol .. except we are starting out with an empty pocket book and u say the z may gives us some coin, excuse me cnuts but seeing is believing lol .. i cannot wait !! have too much now but just say do what is fun and leave the rest thx for having the great info for quests since i have found you i dont plant and have to waste my fast grow or spend fc to grow because i know the next crop .. and also animals so i dont harvest all and save the next animals needed for next level thx much so sorry if spelling or lingo a lil garbly have been woosy sick and the meds for nite make me droop over sleepy :) everyone have fun with it

  10. Joan Says:

If we have to add new neighbors for anything all is lost for me.If we can convert ‘some’ of our coins it will be great, but, if we have to convert all our coins at one time that will be VERY BAD.

  11. leslie Says:

I already play 5 hours a day (I work graveyard shift and play at work) and I cant keep up with all the farms!! zynga wont be happy until we are playing the game 16 hours a day (only stopping to use the bathroom and sleep) and have no lives. I am taking a stand. I am not going to Hawaii. I cant take it anymore. Im not ready to quit fv altogether but i am no longer going to build every building, participate in every quest or do every single thing that zynga throws at me anymore. I am now going to be more selective. Im admittedly addicted to farmville and play much more than i should. And the truth is, zynga is very clever. they created the constant, multiple 13 day limited quests (with no breaks in between them) just to keep us playing several hours each day. the only way to finish the quests is to play for several hours a day because u have a lot of short term crop requirements and with each quest having 8-10 stages to it, if u arent constantly working on the quests u cant get them done in time. the only way i have even a teeny bit of a life with this game is because i do have a unwither ring on my home farm and can plant the 4 crops there without worrying. but there is just too much going on – too many farms, stuff like 12 days of valentines, etc. I just cant do a 5th farm!! I am already a single 30-something year old lady with a pet cat. If i start being one of those people that play farmville every free minute of the day i will be become pathetic. I dont like who ive become with this game since they introduced the cove farm. i only started playing fv 2 years ago to kill some time once in a while. Back when i only had 1 farm and no quests, i could plant 2 and 3 day crops and play just 30 minutes to 1 hour a day and i was completely able to keep up with my farm. back then it was just a nice way to kill some time and did not suck up all my free time. now with 5 farms i dont see how anyone could possible keep up with it unless they didnt work and had no lives outside the home – just being on the game all day. I was on board for the english farm, the cove farm and the ww farm but i just cant do another farm. this is my breaking point. i know zynga is in the business of making $$ but dont they have a responsibility to the world not to create game addicts and make it harder and harder for people to have lives outside the game. zynga wont be happy until there are millions of fat, greasy haired, zit faced gamers blankly sitting in front of their laptops, surrounded by take out and pizza boxes clicking on game feed posts and harvesting stuff for hours and hours and hours every day. zynga is the game version of the drug dealer. they give u a taste of something, let u get addicted and then just keep stringing u along knowing u’ll keep coming back every day for ur fix.

  12. Catzilla Says:

Can not wait to get started this will give like usual a lot of complications ! including the coconuts it is always so funny and you can lost a lot of frustrations with this ridiculous game lol!

  13. Juli Easter Says:

I really think you should fix the problums this game has already before starting a new game, I am so ready to quit at this point, every time I try to “share” or “ask” for anything, send gifts to FV “friends” the share-send box goes up into the right hand corner where you can`t reach the button,(can`t be pulled down or over) then you have to reload the game. Have contacted Z support a few times, they say they are working on it and will send e-mail when fixed, well its been way over a month and a half, no fix. So before you get new farms, with more probs, FIX the ones that already already exist.

  14. Betty Says:

It seems that the object is to change the currency so that we will no longer be able to use all the coins that have piled up. We worked for those coins so we could use them and thought they were zynga currency, what a bummer!

  15. Anna Allison Says:

I think they should have asked us if we wanted another farm. There are so many problems not fixed on what we already have. Zynga is becoming a have and have not society. Nearly everything good is FC. Even though those who rarely use FC work hard to get what they get and earn, it is getting even harder. They should be working on a way that we can store and share between All the farms, not just the original farm and the British farm. It takes forever to build all the buildings on all the farms. We should be able to share our over-abundance of certain items between neighbors rather than sell for nothing or delete them. Farmville used to be fun, but now it is becoming a chore. Everytime you contact Zynga they don’t really listen, and make you feel like it is your fault for all the problems. I am almost ready to quit FarmVille completely except for the friends.

  16. harley Says:

wow are some of you people that ritarded? come on man felix and anna they do ask and tehy poll people on what they want. they always have surveys and many people love the ideas so they do it. if you dont want to do any of the quest or the farms you dont have to. just like the conut and coins they convert to each other you dont have to do it its your choice no one is holding a gun to your head and saying give me all your money. and to the people who complain about farming? i work 40+ hours a week and is till have time to do all my crops and everything. you dont have to sit at teh computer all day and watch teh grass grow on your farm thats just plain idiotic. you complainers are a pain in the neck. contact customer support if you have a problem jeesh

  17. michael mantei Says:

how many farms do we really need.. going to be the 5th one, and a second farm we are told what to do on it, why cant we put as many plots on it as we want. not being told we can have a certane amount of plots like the cove farm. lets open up trade between our own farms for free including the hawaiian farm as well. and to make the game a little better lets let us give extra animals in our gift boxes as gifts to our neighbors for helping out.

  18. Nyco Says:

“wow are some of you people that ritarded?”

I laughed, but really, they have to try new things, some will suck – some will be fun, some will fail, some will not – they are trying to run a business, the same as many other people in the world. I can’t blame them for trying. FV Cash is what allows you to play Farmville, without it you would not be playing it, so don’t hate too much.

  19. Bawa Says:

I agree with Harley about all the complainers. Geez. No one is forcing you to play this. Why are you playing a game you hate??? And as far as “keeping up with all the farms”, what’s the big deal? You don’t HAVE to farm ALL the farms. Leave them fallow. It doesn’t matter. No one will punish you for not farming. And you don’t have to harvest any animals or trees. They won’t die.
If 4 farms are too much just play 1. Pick a quest or more or none. There are so many options and choices on how to play this game. It’s up to you how it is played. Don’t spend real money for FVC if you can’t afford it. Those things in the Market aren’t REAL. They are pixels. Flat little pictures that someone drew. Wouldn’t you rather spend your hard earned cash on something REAL? Besides, there are lots of ways you can get some stuff for free.I seldom buy any trees. I have friends who post trees from seedlings. I grab the grown trees and seedlings and when they grow up they are trees that were sold in the Market. I get them for FREE. Same with the baby animals.
When Farmville started, it used to be a simple little free game. Zynga had no intention of it being free forever. They started their business to eventually make money. And that is where they are at now, making lots of money. They are going to continue to make new stuff, new farms or whatever it takes to attract more people to make more money. Do you think every car maker asks all their customers if they want a new model each year??
Zynga is going to spend very little $time on fixing every little thing. There are a zillion different configurations of computers nowadays and it’s impossible to keep adjusting the programs to run on each one, not to mention the compatibility problems with each Google, Firefox, IE, Shockwave and Flash update. Plus some users keep their systems clean and up to date while others don’t. The amount of space on a hard drive and memory effects a lot of the problems people have with the game. And as far as their game bugs, most likely, they will fix what effects the majority of users who spend money on the game.

  20. :) Says:

    i have 6000 coconut :) )

  21. Farmer Jan Says:

I harvested an orchard yesterday and it told me I found 10,000 coconuts. lol

  22. Erin Says:

I suppose this will be one of “those” questions but I’ve looked around quite a bit on the Zynga forums and checked in the FV market and so on, and I can’t find any info so I’m asking here. What are the criteria for being offered the “early access” to the Hawaiian Paradise farm? I gather that some players have already been given the opportunity to have early access (for a price, of course) but how does Zynga determine who will be offered that opportunity? I don’t see any mention of it at all, anywhere in the game, and I’m wondering how one would go about getting early access in order to do the first round of quests, if one was prepared to spend FC for the privilege? Is there a “secret” link somewhere for people who want to buy access?

  23. Pamela Fields Says:

I would love to go to the island of Hawaii early but don’t have any cash to go on.

  24. Pooh Says:

I got the pop up to access the Hawaain Paradise for 45 FV cash. I am eager to farm on the new farm but not as much to buy early access.
I am happy to wait till they release it for free which is next week by 3rd March, as I heard it.
I felt good to know that some people like me are still happy with this new farm release. I agree to the comments here that though now we have 5 farms, we can skip farming/harvesting some farms. We can choose our favorite ones and farm those only. Like when Winter wonderland was released, I spent much time there and rarely went to the Lighthouse cove farm and English farm. I will do the same for this one too.
I will play more on the new Hawaiin paradise when it comes out :)
Erin: Usually, every feature is a slow rollout on FV. I am not sure what criteria is set for the release to players. I got the pop up this morning and when I clicked on Market, I found the early access feature flashing on the ‘Specials’ tab which is the first thing you see in the Market- where the limited edition items and ‘mystery game’ features are advertised. So, those who click ‘no’ on buying early access and then later want to buy can go to the above link.
P.S. I would love to see some pictures of the new farm. So, FV freaks out there who are on the new farm early, keep posting the pics and information of the farm to this site. Thanks :D
    Enjoy!

  25. cynthia Says:
