Zynga Announces Sweet Seeds for Haiti: 100% of proceeds to benefit Haiti earthquake victims
FarmVille Freak is proud to announce that Zynga, the developers of FarmVille, will release another Sweet Seeds for Haiti campaign.

Zynga's FarmVille Sweet Seeds for Haiti Campaign
With the recent earthquake disaster in Haiti, donations are needed now more than ever. Also, this time , 100% of the proceeds will go to Haiti, not half like before in past campaigns. Says Zynga,
“100 percent of the proceeds will go towards supporting emergency aid in Haiti. All contributions to the Haiti Relief Fund will benefit the World Food Programme (WFP) which has set up an emergency response team to distribute food and other relief to thousands in Haiti affected by the devastating earthquake.”
Besides FarmVille, Zynga will be including some of its other games such as Mafia Wars and Zynga Poker in the campaign efforts as well.
This is a great opportunity to help out with a very good cause and contribute to the Haitian relief efforts. In regards to FarmVille, you will also “get something back” by benefiting from an exclusive item such as the Sweet Seeds (Sweet White Corn) when you donate to the Sweet Seeds for Haiti campaign. I myself will definitely particpate in this event and am really glad that they will be donating 100% of the proceeds. I encourage all FarmVille Freaks to participate in this campaign if possible.
Zynga C.E.O. and founder Mark Pincus says, “The devastation in Haiti is unimaginable, and anything we or our users can do is tiny compared to the utter loss for this nation. In our small way, I hope we can enable our users to help and touch Haiti in a meaningful way where every dollar raised can make a difference.”
Expect the Sweet Seeds to hit the FarmVille market sometime very soon. They will most likely be available with Thursday night’s updates on January 14th, 2010.

Other places to Donate to Haiti:
Another reputable organization Yele.org, founded by singer Wyclef Jean is donating 100% of proceeds to Haiti. You may donate here by using your cellphone to text the word “YELE” to numbers 501501, each text will donate $5 USD.

If you would like to donate money directly and NOT purchase the Sweet Seeds for Haiti with farm cash, you may do so here through Zynga’s campaign with World Food Program :

With the recent devastation of the earthquake in Haiti and the fact that Zynga is giving 100% of proceeds, will you participate in donating to the Sweet Seeds for Haiti campaign?

I called it! Yay! I’m glad they’re doing this. It seems like actuall money would benefit the situation much more than the facebook posts I’ve seen being constantly copied and pasted asking for five minutes of silence. What is silence going to help? AND I get a groovy new flag. It’s a win-win-win situation. Yes, that is an Office reference.

Thank you Goddess for getting this news out! I will participate as soon as it’s live. If it goes for several weeks, I’ll continue to do so as well. The small amount we can give may not seem like much, but when all us FV’ers work together, we can help!

I am glad Zynga has done this. They need all the help they can get. Hmmm proceeds. I would think they would be donating a certain amout consistant with the # of seeds purchased, not just the # of FV cash we buy…
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 5:42 am
@Bubblebiam
If it’s saved up FC it still counts, it’s how much you donate, how much that would cost to buy.
I’m very happy that 100% of the proceeds will go toward helping Haiti. I can’t wait till it comes out. I’ll have to go and buy FC.

I’ve long said that I would NEVER buy Farm Cash. This will change my mind. Lets get it posted Zynga.
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 7:15 am
Just bought my first Farm Cash ever because I wanna donate it to Haiti ppl =)
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 9:18 am
This is good, I don’t mind if they force you to buy FV$ to participate in this, but 100% of the proceeds should go to charity, not 50% as in previous offers.
I do wonder how long it will take before proceeds are donated, as the money is needed quickly.
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 9:25 am
Never bought cash before… always though it was a bit of a waste.. but i will now for this cause

Farmville has just been enhanced for me…now it won’t load and I can’t see any of the new items!
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 11:53 am
Ok, it’s just loaded and the new ‘peace’ stuff, Sweet seeds and something else arn’t there :-/
Posted on January 15th, 2010 at 12:26 pm
I’m so happy about this!! It’s the first time they’ll donate 100%
My BF gave me 50 FV$ so I can spend it in x-mas gold gifts but I didn’t, I was waiting for something really good, and this is the time.
Let’s don’t forget that they need ALL the help and support of every one in any country , so giving water and food would be perfect as well!
Thank you Zynga for the opportunity to give all cash with the haiti seeds and thank you all guys for supporting!
