A new ribbon, The Cracked Ribbon debuted tonight in FarmVille.

The Cracked Ribbon rewards you for opening Mystery Eggs. Please note, Mystery Eggs are the ones found via fertilizing Chicken Coops or adopting via FaceBook newsfeed from a FarmVille neighbor.

Cracked Ribbon Requirements:

• Yellow Ribbon: Open 5 Mystery Eggs.
• White Ribbon: Open 25 Mystery Eggs.
• Red Ribbon: Open 75 Mystery Eggs.
• Blue Ribbon: Open 150 Mystery Eggs.

Since the addition of three new chickens and Mystery Eggs, FarmVille Freak has been keeping users updated on all changes made to Mystery Egg prizes. The follow is  a comprehensive list of all confirmed Mystery Egg prizes.

Only one new item premiered in all the changes made to Mystery Egg prizes, the Chicken Gnome. This new item can be found in the Cornish, Scots Grey and Rhode Island Red Mystery Eggs. The Scots Grey and Rhode Island Red Mystery Eggs currently offer the fewest potential prizes. This would would suggest that further updates are on their way!

Note: The White, Brown and Black Mystery Egg prizes have remained the same.

Golden Mystery Egg prizes have been updated to include some of the new FarmVille Chickens. FarmVille Freaks Kelly, Carolyn and Beth are finding newly added Scots Grey and Rhode Island Red Chickens in Golden Mystery Eggs.

Gold Mystery Eggs are now yielding:

• Scots Grey Chicken
• Rhode Island Red Chicken
• Cornish Chicken

So far, we’ve seen no new prizes from the Black, Brown, or White Eggs and have yet to discover the prizes in the new Rhode, Scots, and Cornish Eggs.

Having more Chickens will increase the opportunities of finding Mystery Eggs!Chicken Coop Expansion will work similarly to the Barn Raising or Storage Expansion method. You can post a Facebook notification asking your neighbors for help via a good ole fashioned Barn Raising for your Chicken Coop or you can purchase the upgrade in the Market.

With the help of your FarmVille neighbors you can increase the capacity of  your Chicken Coop from 20 Chickens to 40 Chickens called the “Big Coop” and from 40 to 60 Chickens maximum capacity called the “Huge Coop”. You will need the help of 10 friends for each star level of expansion and will have 3 days to complete this expansion.

Facts on Chicken Coop Expansion (from Zynga):

• Chicken Coop Expansion functions the same as Storage Expansion (Barn Raising).
• Your Chicken Coop can be expanded twice.
• You can purchase expansions or you can ask your friends to help you increase your Coop size.
• The Big Coop has a capacity of 40 chickens.
• The Huge Coop has a capacity of 60 chickens.
• The chance of finding mystery eggs continues to increase with more chickens.

Since Tuesday night Zynga started removing multiple Chicken Coops in FarmVille. For those farmers in violation of the “One Chicken Coop” rule, you can expect your multiple coops to be deleted and your excess Chickens sent to your Gift Box. It does not matter how you obtained the multiple Chicken Coops whether by in game glitch or if you purposely used tricks to gain extra coops.

FarmVille Zoning Laws

Some farmers that didn’t see this earlier post on FarmVille Freak were surprised to see their Gift Box filled with some  100 plus Chickens and their extra Chicken Coops missing. Although your Gift Box limit is only 30, it will accommodate any excess Chickens.

The removal is without notice and may happen at anytime. If Zynga has invaded your farm while you were away, you will receive this pop-up notice upon visiting your farm.

In an update made on 02.09.10, FarmVille has updated the Mystery Egg prizes.

The Mystery Eggs all contain various FarmVille collectables  such as Butterflies, Bugs, or Garden Tools from Collection sets.
