We first told you about the Sunflower Meadow a few weeks ago on FarmVilleFreak.com (click here for unreleased post). This new FarmVille feature is now slowly rolling out.
FarmVille Freak Craig H. Sunflower Meadow
The Sunflower Meadow is a new way to “expand” your FarmVille Home farm. It’s actually a 12×12 upgradable expansion of your Home Farm called Sunflower Meadows. It can be purchased with Farm Cash or Farm Coins. The cost of purchasing the Sunflower Meadow Expansion is 199 Farm Cash or 200 million Farm Coins. No that’s not a typo. R i d i c u l o u s. Spending 199 Farm Cash is one thing, but expecting players to fork over 200,000,000 Farm Coins is ludicrous. We all know that saving up and reaching 200 million Farm Coins is extremely difficult to do and that most players who have that many Farm Coins to spare have attained them by violating some of Zynga’s terms of service (cheating). It is what it is and if you are hoping to pay in Farm Coins consider it your newest FarmVille challenge. The days of “1 million dollar Villa dreams” are long gone.
With your purchase you will get a free tree, free barn, and a free horse. The Sunflower Meadow farm also has a free shared storage with your Home Farm. On the new farm you will see new Sunflower themed market items as well.

As it rolls out, you can check for it on the upper left corner of your FarmVille Home farm. Next to the Sunflower Meadows expansion, you can see that Lavender Meadows is “coming soon”.

I get the feeling that 200FV Cash- or 200 M Coins is sorta likethe Unicorns that were 80 Cash-
until they were free to make in the Island-
Or the Dragons now- that are 2-300 cash- or FREE in the Lair-
The 200M Price is just for whoever is apparently crazy AND rich AND impatient enough to spend that

I just dont get the point here. I mean, have a look at the English Countryside Expansions
They say
36×36 English Vista costs 220 FarmCash OR 4 Million Coins
38×38 costs 220 FarmCash OR 5 Million Coins
Compare the prices with Sunlower Meadow Prices..
220 FC in the expansion of EC is more than 199 FC to buy a meadow.
On the contrary, compare the coins!
It costs 4 M coins (for 220 FC) and 200 M coins (for 199 FC)
I think its a Zynga prank to cut off the Rich Farmers from their wealth, so that we do not demand FV items for coins.
Like, we demand many things for Coins, but after this when we won;t have coins, we obviously won’t demand..

What does “Free Shared Storage” mean? How many items can I store in it?
I have more than 200M coins, but I do not think they should be spent that way. Also, they do not come from cheating; the key is playing every day, and playing smart.

And they’re asking ALL that just to unlock a 12×12 farm – and word is, you still have to pay for the expansions. If I was going to shell out 200 million coins for a new farm, it’d have to be a BIG farm; not for a 12×12 where I’d have to pay again for expansions.

This is so ridiculous you wonder if the developers are sitting there chuckling, wondering what else we will do/pay for. I will not even think about this silly little expansion for EITHER of those prices, any more than I will consider growing a crop that requires 100,000 plots harvested for the FIRST star of mastery, and probably 200,000 and 300,000 for the second and third, just to get another useless mastery sign. I will be so disappointed if I see any of my wonderful neighbors fall for this.
Zynga sees more farms = more $$$$$. Enough is enough, how many hours are
we willing to put into this game each day?
I about had enough when I grew one of those “magnificent pigs” and found they couldn’t be sold, stored, deleted, put into a pigpen, or put into a livestock pen!

They should be providing ways of deleting the existing farms (too many farms and too many tasks) and allow sharing of all storage.

I think it’s meant to be extra storage space, really. I am out of storage space on my home farm, so I wish I could afford this new farm. I could use it for double storage.

Are there seeds that can only be planted there? Is that yellow barn a nursery barn, a storage barn, or something else?
Before this was announced, I suggested they open up other spots outside the playing field to display decorations. Is that what this is? Can it be expanded? Or just collected with the other ones? Will there be a cheaper avenue to us to earn them?

They place way too much value on digital property. If you pay $150, you should never have to buy anything from this game ever again. This is the sort of trend that has brought their stock so far south.

I have over 400M coins, but I won’t give 200M for that. There’s another farm coming (Lavender Meadows, I think) and they’ll ask another fortune for that. And then there’ll be another and another…

I think the price it way out of bounds for a little farm..but it will be for free in the future, the fv agent i just chatted with had no idea when that will be,, plus i have never gotten that many coins in the years i have been playing. well i have the cash to do it but i would rather spend it on other things. Plus who can keep up with 7 farms?

maybe they’re trying to get their coins back from the “hackers”… or maybe they’re gonna track who pays with coins and flag those people’s accounts to watch if they’re cheating or not… I mean, I just can’t think of ANY other reasonable reason why they’d charge 200-fluffing-million coins.

People should just be grateful there is even a coin option for this. Sure you have to pay FC for expansions for Sunflower Meadows but this way you can keep it simple and go back to basics with a few decorations, crops, and animals. And I am sure eventually expansions will be released for coins at some point. Further I question why this was even put out instead of releasing the final expansions for the home farm for coins. Plus this gives me something to work towards.

Aww, I was lookin forward to perhaps getting that cute horse, but for 199 Farm Cash or, alternatively, 200 million coins? Ridiculous. I have nowhere near either of those amounts and, if I did, I would definitely not spend it. I doubt the majority of Farmville players are going to have 200 million coins to spend. These coin prices are getting ludicrous. And there’s another Lavendar farm coming out too! Anyway, are these actually separate farms or just a tiny expansion?
Well, maybe there’ll be a way to get them cheaper/free but in the meantime, I’ll never, ever own any of the Meadows.

Hi,
it is possible to earn such an amount of coins without cheating. Cheating would mean that you use third party software to increase your amount of coins. But there are many ways to use built in features to earn coins. And that is not cheating.

I have 776 million but I won’t be doing this farm for 199 million. I did not cheat either but have been playing since the beginning. I plan to play until I mastered all crops or 1 billion whichever comes first. I hope to be done by Thanksgiving as I earn lots of coins for animals and trees.

There is some bad knowledge here about the SF Farm. I bought it for coins, and I will say that I am disappointed with it. The shared storage is free. You get 100 storage on the SF Farm, but the Shipping lic is included for all the farms you have shipping lic for. So you can move things from your other farms to the SF Farm by going to your storage icon and chosing which farm, just as you do now. You expand this farm just as you do the others, it does not stay a 12×12. There is nothing in the market that is farm specific to the SF Farm, disappointed in that. If I had used FV$ to but this farm, I would be pissed!
